A call blocker is a device that is used to block incoming calls from telemarketers, robocalls, and other unwanted callers. There are many different types of call blockers, but they all work by either blocking the caller’s number or by intercepting the call and playing a pre-recorded message.
See, hear and make calls with ease with the AT&T CL83207 deck 6. 0 expandable Answering system with smart call Blocker and unsurpassed range. With this system, you can say goodbye to unwanted calls waking you up in the middle of the night or tying up the line.
Robocalls are automatically blocked from ever ringing through-even the first time. You can also Permanently blacklist any number you want with one touch. The dial-in base means youll always be able to make calls, even if the cordless handsets are temporarily misplaced.
The AT&T CL83207 with smart call Blocker also features a digital Answering system that can record up to 22 minutes of incoming messages, outgoing announcements, and memos to help you stay organized. This reliable cordless system brings you long range, HD audio and extra features like caller ID announce and Push-to-Talk for effortless calls from any room in your home.
Plus, the large buttons and extra-large screen make it easy to see and dial calls.
The main reason I purchased this phone was because the base can be used as a speaker phone just like the phones, themselves. This way I didn’t need to worry about the phones’ battery running down during long conversations I sometimes have for work.
The wireless phones work as they should and I like how the number pad lights up when using it, aside from the just the screen display lighting up. I tried out the the answering machine feature and it works fine as well.
I bought this phone a couple years or so ago and LOVE it!!! You can not go wrong! It will block 1,000 calls, yes 1,000. Unlike other phones that only save 10. And the smart block works GREAT!! I highly recommend this phone.

This four handset answering system is another outstanding product from AT&T and their manufacture in Indonesia. The CL82407 replaces our AT&T SL82318/three handset system we have used these past 15 to 20 years.
The system held up well, and we only needed to replace the three rechargeable batteries four times. However, over the last few years it has become more difficult for my wife and me to see the black text on the dark gray display screen of this old model.
Also, the side mounted volume control on some handsets stopped working. Our new CL82407 system has all the “bells and whistles” anyone could wish for; all of which are explained in the User Manual’s 111 pages.
My wife and I like this system because the keys on the handset are easy to see, the display screen has a white background allowing the black text to be easily read, and the volume control is on the front of the handset.
Also, the “Smart Call Blocking” feature is great. Even though we are on the government’s “NO CALL” list we normally get 5 to 8 scam calls a day Monday through Friday, and 3 to 5 calls Saturday and Sunday.
This CL82407 system has effectively eliminated 98% of these calls. However, you must carefully read the User’s Manual to prevent deleting computerized calls you wish to receive, such as from your medical doctor.
So putting this together was not a breeze. There are these electrical connections that each cordless phone needs to connect into the wall. One of them is different from the others, and that goes to the base unit.
But they don’t tell you that. The others are made so that they won’t connect the base unit to electrical power. They could have put a sticker on the different one that said “This goes to the base unit.
” But they use the Osmosis Method to tell you about this. They expect you to know this by osmosis. Not figuring this out, I was about to take the phone back. However, just before doing so, my wife and I decided to look at the connections and one was different.
We finally figured it out. But that was really frustrating. So far the phone is fine, but they only give three stars due to incomplete instructions.
Bought this for my elderly mother. Set up was easy. It was simple to program all the numbers she wanted into the directory. Best part is NO MORE SCAM RISK CALLS. This system allows all the numbers in the directory to ring through.
Even annunciates who is calling. All other calls can either be blocked or sent to voicemail or the answering machine. My mother is no longer afraid to answer the phone. Yes she had Caller ID before this but it was hard for her to read.
She loves being told who is calling as she’s walking to the phone.

Easy set-up and powerful anti-telemarketer device. I was getting up to 12 telemarketer calls a day, beyond annoying. Since we got this phone we get 0 telemarketers coming through. The Smart Call Blocker is ingenious and so simple.
Just enter phone numbers you want to come through and Smart Call Blocker does the rest, robocalls need to press the # key. It also asks incoming calls to record their name and press the # key. In both instances, if they choose not to the phone does not ring and they are put into a “missed call” bucket.
Had five “missed calls” today and didn’t hear the phone ring. Silence is truly Golden! So glad we purchased this phone.
Instructions tend to wander, there is a notation about screening the message while it is playing for the first time, but then it does not say it will happen every time. And sometimes it does not happen.
The procedure to enter allowed callers is tiresome! It appears I must enter each caller by hand if I want to prevent them from having to press any button to be allowed to speak. The two portable handsets are easy and comfortable to hold and keep the charge while I gab a lot! Also, I did not see instructions on deleting the ‘Missed Calls’ count.
It’s everything I wanted!! Robocall blocker, Smart Call blocker keeps me from getting all those “Unknown” calls. I put the names & numbers of the people/companies I want to be able to call me in the directory & I just scroll to the number i want & pick up the phone! I had been getting approximately 20-30 unknown type calls a week.
Since I connected this phone & programed it a week ago, I’ve gotten ZERO of those calls. A call comes, call blocker stops it from coming through (the display lights up. ) I look at the CID & click on DIR, then down to BLOCKED list, press the button twice.
That number can no longer even call me. Yay!!! I highly recommend it for those who don’t want Robocalls or Unknown calls. saves time & aggravation!!!.

I’ve used AT&T models the previous 2 times, and decided to stick with them again, because I like their products overall. I found that the original batteries would last only 1 or 2 years, but the pricey replacement batteries would last far longer (6 or 7 years and counting on the phone set that I am replacing now).
My primary reason for this purchase is to add the Call Block feature. I like that navigating the menu system is very similar to my previous AT&T model, so that eliminates a lot of the learning curve.
My previous model was silver, and I find the black model to be easier to read the keypad. The display screen is slightly larger, and has a slightly larger font, which is also easier to read. Since the price is so reasonable, I opted for this 4 handset system, even though I had 3 before, and don’t have particular spot for a 4th charger where it could be helpful.
I find that even though I don’t use the 4th charging base, I keep one handset at my recliner at all times (where there isn’t a convenient electric outlet to plug in a charger), so the redundant handset is always on the charger and ready to swap on a moment’s notice, whenever needed at my recliner.
I rate this model 4 stars instead of 5 because of the industry trends. There don’t seem to be any premium model landline phones, despite millions of premium VOIP phones being manufactured. The same assembly lines could easily produce some premium landline phones, regardless of diminishing demand.
I would gladly pay more to get a high-resolution color screen with gorilla glass, instead of a monochrome very-low-resolution screen with plastic over it. In this age of amazing quality Siri and Alexa, the Caller ID voice on landline phones sounds like 1980’s technology, and has extremely limited ability to translate words correctly.
The caller name ‘United Healthcare’ sounds like “Un-chill-car”. Good grief!.
I LOVE this phone system! It has COMPLETELY eliminated annoying spam calls, phony sales calls, and calls where the caller blocks their phone # from caller ID. I was getting 4-8 of these annoying calls every day.
Now after one week of using this phone system I have had NONE!! To set the phone # blocking feature up, you must manually enter each phone # you want to allow to go through to your ringer. These phone #s are then stored on the phone’s allowed list of #s.
This does take a little bit of time, but you only do it only once for each # you want to allow. You then set the phone to send all non-allowed #s to either go directly to the built-in answering machine or to be blocked completely.
Either way the phone does NOT RING if the # has not been set up as allowed and you are not disturbed! If you see that you missed a call from someone that you did want to hear from who is not on the allowed list, you just add that # to the allowed list of calls.
Again, you only do that once and then any future calls from that # will ring. Spam callers usually do not leave messages anyway so not hearing the phone ring when they call is the problem solver! I set the system to send all non-allowed calls directly to the answering machine.
This way if the call was indeed from someone I would want tohear from, they can leave a message for me just like if I was not home at the time they called. The allowed list has room for 200 phone #s to be entered which is more than enough for a household.
The phone handsets are very comfortable to hold and the display on the handsets is very well laid out and easy to use. My only negative comments: 1) The phone handsets do not blink when there is a message for you on the answering machine.
You must look at the handset display that will read there are messages waiting for you. 2) There is no clip on the phone to wear the phone on a belt. Final comment. This phone system works exactly how I would want it to!.
ATT CL83519. very nice unit. 5 handsets with 4 separate from the base with their own charging base. Reception is great, even out side in the back yard. I gave easy set up a NO, initial setup is easy as pie.
but adding phone numbers to the star list, allow list and directory is a little more time consuming. DON’T GET ME WRONG. this phone system is AWESOME for stopping robo calls. luv seeing the screen light up and say scanning and then no ring.
only to be a robo call. as a bonus. your caller id will record the # calling you, so, if its not a robo call, you can add it. this unit is landline, and non handset phones with ring one time. with 5 handsets we just ignore the other phones and let the system take over.
initial set up with family and friends, i called them, tell them to call and ignore the prompts. i then review and add them to the allow list. can add them to the allow list via the directory. so easy.
robo calls you want, such as doc office visits and RX refills can be added as well in the star list. once you get your family and friends set up its easy street. let the phone do the rest. even with someone you have not added you get voice announce where the caller, who follows the prompts gets to record their name and its given to you with the option to answer, sent to voice mail or reject.
over all, i luv this phone. mite be inconvenient for some calling you if not in the list. once they do and you allow them its ok. memory is awesome, tho i’d like a little more space to add people in sections.
but not a breaker my minus is :: manual says i can add more remote phones, but does not give details how to do that. tells me to put a new remote in HS mode and it will be added to the base. no where does it say how to make that remote go into HS mode.
i’ve not been able to add a 6th or 7th phone to my system.
Bring back peacefulness in your home by eliminating unwanted robocalls. The Spam Call Blocker conveniently connects to your existing home phone and blocks up to 1,500 scammer calls permanently with the touch of a button.
It also comes pre-programmed with 5,000 well-known scam and telemarketer numbers. Compatible with all major landline phone manufacturers.
My 87 year old father still has a land line telephone. He likes it because it is easier for him to use than a cell phone. It is also far less expensive. The only downside is the constant barrage of spam and scammer calls he receives every single day, all day long.
Since these cretins do not adhere to the guidelines of the Do Not Call List they call sometimes as early as 5:00 AM. Multiple requests have been made for them to stop calling but nothing has worked. I should also mention that these criminals constantly attempt to have my father give his personal information such as his bank card, social security number, and Medicare information.
We even considered canceling his phone service because the situation became so untenable. But then I made another attempt to block these scumbags. About a year ago I purchased a call blocker device but it seemed to accomplish very little.
It seemed to be poorly designed and made. Very few calls were blocked. Enter the CPR V500 Call Blocker. The device is very easy to use. The instructions for initial set up were very easy to follow. I also like the simplicity in its design.
There is just a big red button that is clearly labeled for Block Caller. I have noticed a distinct reduction in the number of spam/scammer calls received. The device worksas promised. I would definitely recommend this product to others who want to reduce the number of harassing spam, scammer, and robocalls they receive.
Was listed as “New-inBox – Other” so I can’t complain per se. No owner’s manual (I had to d/l from the internet). Scroll Buttons (Block List/Call List) and Delete Button don’t work. Still, it’s programmable using the codes in the User Manual.
Managed to reset to Factory Setting and am adding Block Numbers manually as needed. Some of the programming codes don’t seem to work, while others do. Came from a Goodwill Store, so given the price, I’m satisfied, but not thrilled, with the technology.
My phone has gotten considerably quieter, but I’m still adding numbers some 2 weeks later.
It works as advertised. Easy to block calls as they come in as well as calls that you may have missed. You can block the calls after they call. It shows you how many blocked calls have tried to call you after you block them.
You can block all numbers from a group of calls, for example 702-960 and it will block all calls starting with those numbers and it only counts as 1 blocked call. It shows the number of calls you have blocked.
If you block a call by mistake, you can unblock it. Very user friendly. Enjoying the peace and quiet.
With this technology the user can enjoy the best in cordless phone sound quality and Smart call blocker. This system has Speed Dialing feature storing up to 10 phone numbers for easy dialing and Digital Answering System, with up to 22 minutes of recording time.
The Ds6251 has 30 station caller ID/call waiting that will let you know who is calling even when you are already on the line. Additional features include 50-entry phonebook directory, handset volume control, large backlit display and keypad.
This Trilingual prompts allows user to choose between English, Spanish and French.
I bought a set awhile back and then added more to my total number of phones in the house. While there is a process to sync the new ones to the existing system, the people at Customer Service were very helpful and the phones are working correctly now! Having a phone at hand wherever I am in the house is great rather than having to carry one around with me.
I presently have six phones on my system and they all work very well! One note, if the batteries get weak, they tend to make some interference noises — the solution is to get new batteries. I recently purchased six of those to replace ALL batteries in all my phones for under $25 shipped — Quite a bargain and easy maintenance of the phones! Enjoy this system!.
See, hear and make calls with ease with the AT&T CL82319 DECT 6. 0 Expandable Answering System with Smart Call Blocker and Unsurpassed Range. With this system, you can say goodbye to unwanted calls waking you up in the middle of the night or tying up the line.

Plus, the large buttons and extra-large screen make it easy to see and dial calls. Add up to 12 accessory handsets in minut.
This cordless phone set is awesome and attractive. The base is small with a sleek design, and it comes with two additional handsets. The handsets sit in the base and holders at an angle, making it very easy to see the caller ID.
The voice identifying the caller is very clear. I also like the way the handset lights up; the numbers are large and easy to see. The answering system is very easy to navigate. Most important, the clarity of the calls is clear and good.
I bought this to replace my trust old Uniden for which I’ve replaced several batteries over the years. It works fine, and sound quality is good, as promised. The one operational issue I have is that the number block button is too big, to too “front-and-center’.
From a design perspective it’s simply another purpose for the round button in the middle, and the function should be relegated to another button in a corner somewhere, for the number of times it is used.
The biggest problem for me, however, was that there is no headset jack, which is a non-negotiable requirement in our house. It never even occurred to me to question whether there was one or not.
I’m not that tech savvy, but I was able to set my phone up. I have not received all those nuisance telemarketing calls. The phone screens all calls and the caller is announced. So far I really like these phone and the price was reasonable.
Pre-programmed with numbers known to the call prevention registry, Block unwanted callers at the touch of a button, Stop nuisance calls harassment calls cold calls silent calls overseas call centres spam faxes & recorded messages, Works on all home phone lines even those with broadband, 3 Caller Display Screen The CPR 201 Call Blocker is Pre-programmed with all rogue calling telephone numbers known to the Call Prevention Registry & the ability to block callers at the touch of a button, this is the complete solution to all unwanted callers.
Use the 3” caller display screen to see who’s calling and block any unwanted call at a touch using the block now button. You must subscribe to a Caller Display service from your network provider for the block nuisance calls feature to work.
This unit works quite well. It loses 1 star because my handset’s callerid doesn’t work in “inline” mode (and the ringer sounds funny). And unfortunately in “parallel” mode the the big red button doesn’t work after you answer a call.
You need to press it BEFORE you answer, but then how do you know it’s an unwanted call? Also manual programing doesn’t work in parallel mode. So for my use I run in parallel mode. If I get a nuisance call I hang up, unplug the phone cable from the parallel adaptor and plug it into the TEL port, manually program the nuisance number (or more often than not the whole 10000 number block around the number (ie don’t enter last 3 or 4 digits of number being blocked – internet research will make it clear how big a block the call centre is using)) and then put the phone cable back in the parallel adaptor.
I suspect the unit, being powered by the phone line, uses too much power to be fully compatible with my phone. A model with a separate power supply might solve these issues. When I can just run in “inline” mode all the time and get handset caller id this will definitely be a 5 star product.
Even with the above minor issue I still think everyone should get one of these!.
I had been trying to figure out what I could do about the scam and spam calls. I was so frustrated with receiving more calls from spammers and scammers than from my friends and family. The last straw for me was the continual spam callers who kept calling me from newly generated fake phone number on a weekly basis that I could not block.
I can’t pre-block a number I don’t know. The best features on this call blocker is being able to block 1000 numbers and being able to block area codes. My ultimate solution to drastically reduce the number of fake robo calls I was receiving was to retrieve a list of all US area codes which is a few hundred sort them and remove from that list the area codes that I expect to receive calls from otherwise all area codes in Alaska blocked, all area codes from Ohio blocked because I do not know or expect someone to call me from these states on my wired home phone.
Honestly my wired phone is in place for emergencies and nostalgic I think and my primary phone is really my cellphone. I did not pay for a wired phone line to be bombarded by scammers, telemarketers and politicians.
The only complaint of the call blocker I purchased is that it does not log the caller id information so you have no caller information logged on this machine as far as timestamps and telephone numbers.
If I block an area code this CPR Call blocker only has a counter of the number of times the area code was blocked for example but you don’t know the actual telephone number blocked. My work around for this issue was to hook up a caller id box on my second phone line that logs all calls allowing me to scroll through it to see if I need to make any changes to my blocking setup.
It took 1-2 hrs to block all of the area codes manually but it was totally worth it.
This is an excellent product for blocking many of the numerous annoying daily unwanted phone calls. The phone calls were so numerous, that it is was hard for me to function around the home without being interrupted.
The big red button is a plus! It is easy to block a call! It works very well! There is one con to this product, but it wasn’t a problem for me. The V202 call blocker only shows the phone number. My phone, which is adjacent to the call blocker, does give me the names, that I want to block, in addition to the phone number.
Without the phone, I would not be able to equate the number with the companies or people I want to block.
Over 1. 5 billion Nuisance Calls are made to the British public every year, with over 70% of phone owners saying that they have been victim of a phone scam during the last twelve months. Fortunately there is now an affordable solution! The CPR Call Blocker You must subscribe to a Caller Display service from your network provider for the block nuisance calls feature to work.
There are two line inputs marked Line1 and Line2; there are two outputs marked Tel1 and Tel2. The instructions which came with the item include, “Plug the line into Line1 and the telephone into Tel1”.
This didn’t work. I could use the phone in the normal way but no lights (there are 2 red lights) came on and no calls were blocked. There is no hint in the instructions as to why there are Line2 and Tel2 sockets on the box.
So, in experimental mood, I plugged into Line2 and Tel2. As soon as I picked up the phone to dial out both red lights came on. I did an experiment using another phone (my mobile) and blocked my mobile phone.
The blocking worked perfectly. I unblocked my mobile following the simple instruction leaflet and it was unblocked. I chose to block all ‘number withheld’ numbers and, almost miraculously, I have had no ‘number withheld’ calls since.
There are other options about blocking sets of numbers but I haven’t tried them. This call blocker does not have a ‘white list’ (so far as I can tell) but only a ‘black list’ of up to 100 numbers – plus various options to block sets of numbers.
I have only blocked the set ‘number withheld’ plus a few unwanted but numbered numbers up to now. It works well. It draws its power from the phone line. In summary. it works butsome phones need Line2 and Tel2 so, if at first you don’t succeed with Line1 and Tel1 then try Line2 and Tel2.
It would have been helpful if this had been included in the instructions.
I simply cannot understand the one or two people on here who say it doesn’t work. They must be doing something wrong. We bought one of these ‘refurbished’ call-blockers from CPR three years ago: it arrived brand new! We have been absolutely delighted at how by simply pressing a button we can cut off unwanted callers and block them from ever calling us again.
We have also programmed it to automatically block certain numbers (Unavailable, etc) and it does the job. Of course we still get the occasional one, that’s because the baddies are always inventing new ways to make their annoying calls – but one touch of the button, or dialling #2, and they are gone forever! This little gadget works like a charm and has freed us from the misery of unwanted calls.
Amazing piece of kit, so easy to install and operate. Smaller than I imagined it sits alongside the phone any call that escapes the pre loaded blocking feature, can simply be blocked by pressing the “block button”.
This prevents the call getting through and automatically adds it to the blocked list. Since installation total peace!!.
The new ProSeries Blocker was designed by Digitone Communications for those who want a way to block unwanted calls, yet allow all others to ring their phones. The ProSeries has its own power adapter and wall mount plate.
The Digitone ProSeries call blocker is one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while. For someone who still has a “home” phone with caller ID, this is a great way to stop unwanted and potentially scam callers.
After studying the manual and with a little practice, they are blocked and the phone doesn’t even ring. No more “Unknown Name”, “Suspected Scam”, or “Out of Area” calls can get through. I really like that you can block calls by the caller name, area code, etc.
It is highly configurable and can even use wild cards *. The calls that you do want can still get through. It is good if you can figure it out, and I highly recommend it.
Digitone developed the best telemarker blocker on the market!!!! It blocks caller names (city, state repeat names with continuous changing daily numbers) or caller number. You can also enter a list of trusted callers ( which will never be blocked).
The only suggestion i have is towrite better directions. I finally figired out you must scroll down on the caller history display to display the phone number with a DASH after the area code to edit (block) the number.
Just get the display history to show the number with an icluded dash after the area code, then hit the red button twice and the caller is blocked. You can also block with your phone or remote phone. After hanging up on telemarketer, Just hit the green call button on your phone, then enter *2#, then hang up.
Telemarketer blocked! So nice quiet and peaceful now!!.
He was receiving as many as 15 calls a day from outfits soliciting funds. Got so bad he no longer would answer the phone. Let the phone go to the answering machine so he knew if it was someone he wanted to talk to.
Installed the blocker shortly after I got and his unwanted calls have dropped to zero. All he needed was the basic blocking feature so the first couple of days he let the calls ring through so the number was captured.
Then scrolled through the calls and blocked the unwanted calls. Says his phone hasn’t been this quiet in many months. He loves it and I am very happy it does exactly what the seller claims.

Pros: Large buttons makes it easy for me to see the letters and numbers. This new design is an improvement. The answer phone button is clearly displayed to switch on and off. Cons: I have not allowed the answer phone to pick messages yet as I switched it off.
Why, because the last phone when messages are left, it keeps on bleeping which if I am sleeping is annoying. So I am not sure if that has been dealt with. Perhaps if there is a flashing light to indicate messages it could be better.
Pros: MANY FEATURES, eg conversation recording very convinient, easy to turn on speaker phone, efficient display many info. Easy to set it up. It works in Athens, Hellas. Cons: Sound quality not the best, the embeded voice giving dirctions etc not good at all.
Many times the second handset has bad noise interferance. Quite large the base and on the haevy side the hand sets.
Pros: Call blocking feature which can be turned off, lightweight, 3. 5mm headphone socket, good loud speaker but quality could be better for the hearing impaired, large buttons for visually impaired, many other features accessible from menu which which elderly and unfamiliar may find difficult to navigate.
Very good phone overall. Cons: Speaker could better as needs wider frequency range using onboard adjustments. Bought for dad who is hearing challenged and is happy with the purchase.
Place and receive calls on two different phone lines. Say goodbye to unwanted calls. Robocalls on your landline are automatically blocked from ever ringing through – even the first time. You can also permanently blacklist up to 1000 numbers with one touch.
With up to 22 minutes of recording time, the digital answering system grabs calls when you can’t.
This telephone system was reasonably priced and on sale at the time I purchased. Set up was simple and fully usable within minutes of opening the box. I like that the buttons light up making it easy to find and dial in the dark.
I had it for over a month and both phones hold a good charge after being left off the charger overnight. I purchased this item as a Christmas present for my mother, 70+ years old, who is hearing impaired.
On the right setting, she can clearly hear the handsets ring and operate the system with ease. She is pleased, so, so am I.
The phone’s basic functions work as they should. I have not set up the answering machine due to a online version I already have. The biggest gripe I have with the phones is that I wanted to add another phone to the system and they have none ANYWHERE! I bought this system for my office to be able to expand and now I cannot.
I can’t even use any other VTech phone with this base. Disappointed with lack of expandability but it functions for a basic phone.
This is a pretty good cordless phone. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen a cordless phone in the last twenty-five years that had really good buttons, so I guess we have to give up on that dream. These phones have pretty good range, a reasonably good interface, tolerable ergonomics.
The speaker and microphone are above-average, and the speakerphone function is way above average. They hold a charge pretty well. The cons: They charge slowly, and the charge indicator is pretty useless.
We have two of these units, and they work identically, which is to say that the charge indicator never reaches Full but claims it’s almost out of power when it’s really about halfway charged. Possibly this is to get you to recharge the phone more frequently.
All the ringtones are awful (isn’t this always the way?), and often the phone will ring continuously instead of in pulses, for no apparent reason. Occasionally, one extension will keep ringing after you answer a call on the other extension, which isn’t great.
If you’re still buying a cordless phone in this day and age, this seems to be one of the better ones available. It’s not terrific, but it’s not something you’ll want to throw into a wall once a day. And it’s cheaper than most comparable phones.
Make sure this fits by entering your model number. Easy-to-Read White Display – 1. 8-inch (4. 6 cm) clear vision by white illuminated display Easy to Hear Answering System Sound – A noise reduction function and large speaker enables recorded messages to be clearly played back.
Stable, Flat and Solid Design – Handset fits comfortably on the base unit Nuisance Call Block – You can block any specified number, as well as any head string of 2 to 8 digits matching your specified numbers or numberless calls.
DECT Security – Communications between the cordless handset and base unit are encrypted, and the encryption password is periodically changed to maintain a high level of security. Advanced Answering System – When a new message is recorded on the answering machine, the base unit can alert you with a sound.
Furthermore, when you are away, it can send an alert by a call to a pre-registered mobile phone or office phone. Long Life Battery.
Like all Panasonic cordless phones, this model is well made and totally reliable. The answerfone is very simple to operate, and has clear sound. The handsets are a sensible size and comfortable to hold, with backlit screen and number keys, and again the sound is clear.
The phone book has capacity for 100 contacts, and the wireless range appears to be good. Styling is perhaps not state of the art but, for the price, it is a good solid phone system.
This call blocker has an advanced Bilingual Talking Caller ID that allows the user to hear the caller name by announcement in English and Spanish. This device stops up to 16,000 unwanted numbers with an included pre-programmed database of 14,000 instantly blocked robocaller numbers.
While you can easily add additional 2,000 unwanted numbers can manually to the block list. This call blocker can store up to 100 numbers of friends, family and others. The Panasonic call blocker comes with a 2.
5-inch White backlight dislpay and has a color LED besides the dipslay. The bright white, easy to read backlit Lcd, clearly shows caller names and numbers. While the LED blinks green when unit recieves trusted number calls and red when robocallers call.
The big red call block button is located on the top of the unit. At the touch of a button, the unwanted callers number is logged into the units memory, the call will hang up and the number blocked permanently.
I was getting up to a dozen spoofed scam calls a a day on my landline. My phone which has call block for 250 numbers was quickly reaching its limit. With this call blocker, so far, I have gotten just 3 calls in 2 weeks.
I attribute this to the 14000 numbers on the blocker’s database. I can also block up to 2000 numbers manually. It works well.
Take note: You cannot adjust the screen brightness to a bright color it’s dim no matter what you do and it’s a odd color of yellow not white. The volume does not get loud on the ringer or for the voice.
It’s a poorly made phone for the money I spent on it. I would not recommend it at all especially if your buying it for someone elderly Wished I would have NEVER ordered it!! It would cost to much to send back.
I’ve owned many Panasonic phones this was the worse.
Well, Ihave always loved PANASOIC products. Since I have had this blocker my incomming calls have been reduced to hardly any calls , because when I see a uwanted call, I hit that BUTTON, wham, thats the end of them.
! Plus, this one was the most reasonably priced !.
You can block any specified number, as well as any head string of 2 to 8 digits matching your specified numbers or block number call. Compact Design. The phone is compact enough to fit in narrow spaces.
The simple and stylish appearance matches various room interiors. So something else while talking. You can talk with your hands free. Its convenient when you need to take notes etc, and everyone around you can also join in on the conversation.
One Touch Eco Mode. Just press the dedicated Eco button. Signal output is reduced by up to 90% and power consumption is reduced by about 3. 5% when compared with the normal mode. In the Eco mode, the Eco indicator is clearly displayed on the LCD to show this mode is activated.
Having recently bought the trio set to replace my reliable Gigaset, Im pleasantly happy with Panasonic. I was a bit reluctant as wanted to go for another Gigaset, I must say the Panasonic is extremely easy to set up.
I was up and running in less than 10 minutes without checking the manual. One of the most important feature I like with this model is that there is a dedicated button to transfer calls between the handsets.
Its ECO mode is extremely useful too. Name and numbers are in big font size perfect for elderly parents, quick access buttons on each handset and very light handset. Answerphone can be activated or deactivated in a single touch.
The only worry is I dont yet having not gone through the manual is how to lock the keypad to keep it safe from kids dialling out.
Having had several trouble free years use of a earlier version myself, I bought this for an elderly person to replace her old phones that were becoming unreliable. The individual items were well packed in the box and in A1 condition.
The phones were setup in rooms all situated on ground level with the furthest around 11 metres from the base unit. Setup for the 3 phones and bases, including adding numbers to the internal phone book and adjusting the volume to suit, took me around 20 minutes.
Overall an easy installation with relatively little need to delve too deeply into the instruction booklet. In use the screen was clear and the handset and main base unit buttons were easy to identify and use.
As she will only use the basic functions of the phone I cant comment on the extra functionality but its more than adequate for its intended use. My only niggle would be that the base units for the 2 slave phones are very light, even with their respective handsets in place and would benefit from being a little heavier or having a grippier base.
This would make it less easy for someone with poor dexterity to knock them off a smooth surface when attempting to lift out the handset. Its an easy DIY fix to overcome but its something the manufacturer could build in that would help.
I purchased these Panasonic cordless phones to replace my old set which I have had for years, no hesitation in buying Panasonic again. Nice compact base set and easy to use handsets, lots of features and good instruction book to get the most out of the phone.
I would agree with the person that said the volume is a bit low especially if your slightly hard of hearing, I get over this by putting the call on speaker phone.
Panasonic KXTGC312EB Digital Cordless Telephone with Nuisance Call Block – Twin Simple and stylish with twin digital cordless telephone supports exciting new nuisance call blocking technology allowing you to block nuisance calls.
It has 1. 6 inch amber back lit LCD. 90% transmission reduction with lower power consumption. Compact enough to be installed in a narrow space. Features: Easy-to-read display Eco function Nuisance call block upto 30 entries 10 Redial numbers Advanced alarm clock 1.
6inch(4. 1cm) illuminated display Key lock Phone book memory upto 50 entries 16 hour talk time 200h standby time Speakerphone Twin: includes 2 handsets, 1 base unit, and 1 charger.
The phones arrived next day a Sunday as promised. The 3 phones were well packaged. They were fully charged after 7 hours, as stated. The appearance of the phones is good, being slightly longer than our last Panasonic phones with a much larger, clearer screen which illuminates when being used.
Set up for basic use was straightforward, but we thought it odd that the instructions to register a handset to the base unit comes on page 42 of the booklet, as we wanted to make sure that entering contacts in one phone automatically goes to the other two it wasnt clear whether registering was necessary before entering contacts or not, but we werent going to risk putting 50 numbers in 3 times The callers name and number appears if, like us, you already pay BT for Caller ID otherwise you have to subscribe to Panasonic I believe.
The volume is adequate but not particularly loud, even on speakerphone, but is probably acceptable for most people. The base unit and chargers are not designed for wall fitting so they need to be on a flat surface unlike our previous phones.
We chose nonanswerphone phones as we prefer BTs answerphone facility as we have been amazed how poor some peoples builtin answerphones are often very quiet or distorted sound Not many nonanswerphone models are available, so we were glad with a limited choice that this model suited us very well Overall, we think these phones are an excellent buy for the price 46odd for the three great phones from a quality manufacturer for a bargain price.
I bought this set of three phones six years ago for my elderly parents as they needed some new ones and I was keen to get some with larger buttons, a large display and a builtin call blocker. The phones are extremely easy to set up and only the base unit needs to be programmed with phone book entries and these are carried across to the other handsets automatically.
There is a wide choice of ringtones, all of which go loud enough to be heard by those naturally hard of hearing. The intercom function is particularly handy as it means they can have hours okay, minutes.
of fun summoning each other from the kitchen garden. Being able to give the phones names like Dining Room, Bedroom etc. not Bob or Margaret means that they can remember in which room to replace the handset after walking round the house with it saves a needless journey.
Unlike many other phones on the market, they dont look particularly fancy but thats a positive factor in my case, as it means they are unburdened by frippery and are easier for my parents to use as a result.
My parents are really pleased with them. Theyve only needed one change of rechargeable batteries in six years and have worked faultlessly. Id definitely recommend these, particularly if youre looking for something leaning towards high functionality rather than style.
Only bought them a couple of days ago so I can only comment on how easy they were to set up and charge. It took me about ten minutes to put the batteries in and plug all 3 of them into charge in different rooms in the house.
Another 10 minutes to enter the time and date and most important phone numbers to start of with which automatically update each phone so all 3 phones are ready to go in 15 minutes. 5 minutes to play around with ring tones and volume and ta dah all done.
I dont find them particularly flimsy they are as robust as the phones they are replacing which I bought 10 years ago and I havent had a problem putting them back in their cradles. So far so good value for what I paid.
I will comment again in a couple of months but dont be put off by the negative comments Im in my 60s and found it a doddle.
Dedicated BT Premium Call Blocking ‘Hot Key’ for one touch blocking Powered by multi-award winning trueCall blocking technology Block up to 100% of Nuisance Calls – Block up to 1000 numbers or block calls by type Digital answer machine records up to 60 minutes of messages 1.
8″ Colour Screen / 200 Name & Number directory / Auto copy between handsets / Hands free speaker / Easy access to BT calling features Boxed-product Weight: 1. 8 Kg Batteries 2 AAA batteries required.
It’s early days yet but since I started using these phones I’ve not had one unsolicited call. They were quite easy to set up. The build quality & functionality is definitely superior to my last ones which were also BT models.
Callers are clear & loud enough to satisfy me even though my hearing is not what it used to be. This model also includes an answer phone which I don’t need since I rely on the 1571 answering service but you can simply switch the answer phone off if you don’t want it.
On the downside, my previous cordless phones had a SIM card reading device which enabled the contents of my mobile phonebook to be transferred instantaneously. Unfortunately, this feature is not included with this model so I had to enter fifty odd names & numbers manually, a laborious task.
This is important however, since only your stored numbers come straight through to you. Unknown callers have to identify themselves & you are then offered the choice to accept or reject the call. If the latter, further calls from that number are also blocked.
All in all though, I think this has been a good buy.
I bought this phone a few weeks ago to replace an older cordless one that was playing up. Great price, lots of call blocking features, good level of adjustable volume and smart looking too. The only thing I don’t like is, unlike the old phone, once a message is left it beeps loudly until you have listened to it.
There appears to be no way of turning off this feature that I can find.
I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this phone with such mixed reviews but having already exhausted all means of trying to put an end to nuisance calls I decided to give it a shot. I’ve been using for a few weeks now and here are my thoughts: The handset has a nice solid feel to it, bright clear display, and is comfortable to hold and use.
It’s important to note that you will need caller ID from your landline provider in order for the call blocking to work. The call blocking is very straightforward and works so that if an unknown number calls, they get displayed and you can either choose to accept the call or add the number to your blocked list.
If you block them, they get a message telling them they are blocked in future. If it is a genuine caller who haven’t already been added to your phone book and you allow the call to come through then they will have to pass an additional call screening step.
So it is important to ensure that your family and friends numbers have been input to your contacts (you can connect the phones via bluetooth to import contact from your mobile). Callers can pass call screening by announcing who they are, which then prompts your phone to rings and announces the caller with recording so you can decide whether or not to accept the call or reject and block.
It does take a bit of time but I feel is worth the long term benefit. Another useful feature is the ability to block entire area codes, which means you can block all calls from a particular country. You can also block calls beginning with a set of numbers, which should reduce cold callers from insurance scams, pension scams and the like.
It really does cover all bases and I haven’t had a single nuisance call since it has been set up. The only downside compared to our previous set of phones is the sound quality is a bit tinny and not quite as clear on speakerphone.
And the selection of ringtones. But these are outweighed by the benefit of not having to contend with nuisance callers every day! Overall I think these are fantastic phones and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to combat themselves against nuisance calls! 5 stars.
Pros: Lots of settings, but a bit tricky to find – I set it all up before connecting to phone line. Downloaded address book from Android device. Manual not clear but you CAN give a different ring tone for (all of, as a group) VIP entries => one ring tone = people I know / want to answer, other = others.
Cons: Message waiting light far too small – could do with a big display “no of messages” on handset, + could do with better / more obvious indication of missed call. Lots of settings, good, but some defaults really need reversing and the manual could be better – several review comments were simply because default setting not changed.
Pros: Not found any yet Cons: We are so disappointed. We bought these thinking they would be good, but not a patch on the Panasonic we had. It always sounds like everyone is very far away. We can only use the base handset, as the sound is so poor.
It sounds like the original digital phones in the 1990’s, complete with interference. In addition, the cradle is shallow, meaning they keep falling out of the cradle. We are ditching these, wasting £60, and switching back to Panasonic.
I purchased the BT4600 with two handsets to replace a BT8500 Advanced Call Blocker phone that had given good service but had given up the ghost. Clear instructions made Installation straight forward.
Sound volume is good and reasonably clear as is the loudspeaker which, when switched on, enables anyone in the room to hear the caller. The second handset is automatically updated with changes made on the main unit such as the list of recent calls in and out and entries in the phone book a boon as it avoids the need to make these entries twice.
There are some small annoyances1. Theres only a facilty to enter one number for each phone book entry which requires a separate name entry for each number. The 8500 had dedicated spaces for home, mobile and business numbers.
2. Only 12 characters are permitted for each entry name too few for many, especially business names, which demands some creative prcis. 3. Call screening of numbers not in the phone book contacts works well but with one annoying exception the system ALWAYS screens calls from overseas even though the numbers are in the phone book and allocated VIP and always allow status.
The BT8500 did not do this and the handbook doesnt mention it. This is particularly annoying to frequent callers. The calls list also displays the caller as unknown4. The manual states that during a call incoming speech volume can be amplified by pressing a button on the side of the phone.
What it does not state is that the loudspeaker facility has to be switched on first not much use if a private conversation is required. 5. The numbers with area codes are followed by three dots which makes them too long to be displayed in the calls list so they scroll sideways making them difficult to read.
Without the dots scrolling would not be necessary. This seems like a long list of demerits but these are relatively minor aspects and the 4600 is altogether an excellent phone only denied a fifth star because of them.
Pros: the answer machine pips when there’s a recorded call. The slightly larger buttons are helpful. The control buttons for various functions are easy to see and operate, the quality of the answer recordings is good.
Cons: The yellow illuminated screen, plus caller display only shows the number/caller and my previous machine announced callers. It is a fiddly job to put numbers in the directory & the space for names is limited.
It is misleading to refer in set up to 24 hrs to charge up, without saying that after that time, the phone will always indicate ‘charging’ when not in use.
Pros: I like the size of the buttons and the ease of being able to take the handset with you into other rooms or even outside (we previously had a phone with a cord). The ringing volume is excellent, and my husband who is deaf can hear much more easily when speaking to anyone.
There are lots of features I have not used yet. It is the best home phone I have ever had. Cons: The Amplify button is in an awkward place and it is easy to press it accidentally when picking the phone up as it is where you rest your thumb, this means your conversation can be heard by others in the room.

After testing several call blocker for home phone, we’ve come to the conclusion that the best one is the CPR V5000 Call Blocker. It’s easy to use and very effective at blocking unwanted calls. It also has a lot of features that other call blockers don’t have, like the ability to block private numbers and unknown numbers.
Overall, it’s the best call blocker for home phone that we’ve tested.
