I have made some wonderful cakes with these cake pans. I don’t know what I did wrong but I ended up with a 7 layer cake double chocolate with sour cream chocolate frosting. I filled all five pans which two of them ended up having a little more batter than the rest.
I baked the cakes and so two were taller than the rest,so after they cooled in the fridge I cut the tops off the two that were taller and put them to the side,I put my first layer down and frosted it and did the same with the other four then I put down the thinner cut off layer and frosted it,and did the same with the last one.
I wish I would have taken a picture of it I loved it. I did have to use wooden sticks to keep it from sliding but it turned out great and it was done with one cake mix and frosting was made from scratch it was sooooooo good.
So far that is the best one I have made. It really helps to cool the cakes in the fridge it makes it much easier to work with and you will need something to hold the cakes up to keep them from sliding because it is really TALL but Beautiful.
The cake pans are small and nicely made. Nonstick surface, but still used Pam to make sure cake didn’t stick. This makes a small, 6 layer cake. Was able to complete with one cake mix and used food coloring to make each layer unique.
Bakes well at 350 for 18 minutes. I used toothpick to check for doneness. They are small and have a number of ideas on how to expand using fruit between layers, making large buns for breakfast sandwiches or burgers, make small, individual cakes for a party.

My pans both the oblong and the round are perfect for what I need, however I do wish there had been some kind of instructions on how long to bake, etc. Trial and error aren’t fun. But, I’ll figure it out and love them.
I tried Fat Daddio’s, PME, and Nordic Ware. The Nordic Ware was by far the best one. They are heavy, and truly nonstick, even though this is not the official “nonstick” line, which is a gold color. I used canola oil for the bottom and sides, and parchment paper for the bottom as well.
I tested one of the three pans I bought by not applying any oil to the side and the cake slipped right out of that one as well- have to let it cool a bit and let the cake naturally separate from the side of the pan.
So, even without the oil on the side, it’s still pretty nonstick. Also, these pans had the lightest crust and most even top, very little doming. Great buy for the price.
Always quick shipping with Target, so that started it out great. Already used it on a 3 layer cake. funny, the other 2 layers were a friends pans and they browned where the Nordic ware layer did not.
Granted I had the NW on different rack in the oven, but switched them 1/2 way through,,,still no browning. NOT that they needed browning. maybe it’s the NW sides are taller or something than friends pan? LOVE that NW pans don’t rust since I’m close to the beach.

I use the words “best” and “ever” infrequently. And I rarely review products. But like my son said – you should write a review. We make pizza all the time. These pans are perfect. We get a pizza cooked on the top and the bottom evenly.
They are also easy to clean. I ordered a second one right after I used the first one.
I made a batch of brownies with this pan and I was really pleased with how evenly cooked they were. The pan was easy to clean as long as you don’t grease it. One thing I did notice though, is that the brownies picked up a slight metallic taste even though there is a ceramic coating over the aluminum.
My recipe called for 3 eggs, so I will try it with just 2 and see if that reduces the metallic taste next time.

This pan works perfectly. I purchased three for a three-layer cake, and the cake baked evenly in each of them. No warping, and I don’t think I even needed to use the parchment paper rounds, butter, and flour to prevent sticking.
Two of them stack well, but I think one is slightly oblong. It doesn’t nest into the other two quite as well, but it’s not a big enough issue to notice in the cakes themselves (which is the most important thing).
Probably something from shipping, since the pans hold up fine in the heat of the oven. Overall, love these pans, and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for cake pans.

My wife wanted me to go to Walmart and purchase her an ‘angel food’ cake pan. The old one we have was new 45 years ago and you can not put enough shortening and flour on the inside to keep the cake from sticking.
As I have purchased a complete line of ‘Classic Stainless’ pots, pans, pasta cookers, dutch oven and fryers (3) in the past year, it was an easy choice to go online and order a Calphalon non-stick angel food pan.
She baked an ‘Old Fashioned’ pound cake for Christmas and only lightly dusted it with flour and the cake almost jumped out of the pan after the cake cooled. Highly recommend all things Calphalon. Even have a set of their steak knives, 3 41/2″ paring knives.
I bought this several days ago because the recipe calls for 8 inch square pans. I like the weight of the pan and when I was looking for pans, this had the best ratings. Even though it is advertised as non stick ( one of the reasons for purchase) I was unhappily surprised when even though I generously greased and floured the pan as directed, the middle of the cake stuck.
I will use parchment paper in the future to keep this from happening. I have been baking for a long time with non stick pans and have not had issue.

I was looking for a larger bulk order of cake pans that didn’t force me to compromise quality. I was so incredibly impressed with the cost-effective price point, but even more impressed when the professional quality product arrived at my door.
These are nice little pans and they bake my cakes very nicely. However, I washed them good before using them, but still when I put oil in them to bake then spread it around with a paper towel it comes out with black stuff on it from the pans.

A great find with all the sizes I will need on a regular basis! The height is perfect for my cakes, they bake evenly and flat. The pans are heavier than other cheaper pans which is comforting while carrying around a 12inch round full of raw batter (lol).

Great pans for baking cakes, you can just grease and flour the pans, or also use parchment paper rounds, cut out the paper rounds, grease pans, put one paper round in each pan greasing it as well, then I flour the pans.
The layers come out easily and they cut more evenly, not as much rise in the layer in the middle of the pan. Very good product!.
Bought two pans at Walmart to bake a carrot cake. This pan was absolutely 100% the best. My advice to make the perfect cake, grease the pan completely on the inside with a generous amount of butter to prevent cake batter from sticking.
Use wax paper to cover the entire bottom of pan and spray (baking spray). I did not have a dome top after baking. Make sure to add a even amount of cake batter to pan(s).

This looks like a very nice pan however, when I turned it over when washing it before use, the bottom is all scratched up and there are bleak marks all over it! I thought perhaps the marks could be washed off, but no.
And one of the scratches is quite deep! This was part of a delivery order (I am elderly and have no car) and I have NO way to exchange, so what do I do? With their “new” website and products being sent to customers in this condition, I think that Walmart will begin losing customers rapidly.

Pros: After a few uses now I’ve worked out a good recipe based on a sponge cake batter – use 1/2 cup batter per pan (it doesn’t look enough, but it is), 180C heat for 10 minutes with all four pans in there does the trick.
The non-stick works okay, but I like to also wipe on canola oil. Let the cakes sit in the pans for 5 mins after cooking to cool off a bit, then use a plastic spatula to gently ensure the cakes are not stuck on the edges or underneath, then pop a plate on top and flip to remove each cake.
Ice as soon as cool because the cakes can dry out quickly. They turn out evenly shaped and flat to stack. It works well. Cons: The box promises a recipe booklet inside but it was missing in the one I bought.

I highly and enthusiastically recommend these pans. Do not wash them with bleach-based dishwasher detergent if you wish for them to remain shiny and bright. Use a paper liner in the bottom of a well-sprayed or coated pan, and don’t bang on the bottom of a pan with a knife handle to get a stuck cake layer out of the pan (seriously, an apprentice pastry chef beat up my very first set of pro pans and it still makes me wince to think of it).

It is really great quality for the money. I paid 1/3 less than what I would have. I purchased 2 to make a hostess cupcake cake. Made the first round and I messed up, I put way to much batter in one of the pans and filled it up.
My error and I knew it as I was putting it in the oven. Thankfully, I put a sheet pan under it. It made a mess on the sheet pan as well as my brand new Nordic Ware Naturals 9″ pan. I thought it was ruined but it wasn’t!! I can’t believe how well it cleaned up.
It still looks new! Made the 2nd batch, no overflow this time and the pans washed up very well. Don’t be deceived by the price, the Nordic Ware Naturals are really nice pans and you cannot beat the price point!!.

Absolutely nothing sticks to these pans. even if you forget you’re cooling the cake and leave them in too long. no problem. They brown perfectly. I’ve put my bundt pan away for now and love baking in these.
Clean up is a breeze. Hot soapy water and they’re perfectly clean. No need to put in dishwasher especially since directions say not to. Happy baking!.
