20 Best Buy Xbox 360 Wired Controller (2022 Updated)

The Turtle Beach Recon controller caught my eye mostly for the chat buttons up on top. It’s nice having these easily accessible rather than having to jump into any menus on the Xbox itself. The controller itself was feels a little less chuncky on the grips, compared to the official controller, however they have a wonderful grip with it’s ergonomic cooling, I was questioning how they would feel but after hours of gameplay between battle royale, action/adventure and other games my palms didn’t get sweaty and I’ve noticed that in the past when using other controllers.

Through the long sessions I didn’t feel any soreness in my hands, I don’t know if they truly are, but they fill ever so slightly thinner and thinking I would be gripping them a little tighter may have been an issue.

This wasn’t the case, the grip was really comfortable and I like how the programmable rear buttons sat directly under my finger. The triggers, bumpers and rear buttons all head a texture to it, they feel like a sturdy plastic, I found this nice for the rear quick action buttons since you can easily find them.

The face buttons all felt responsive, I never really had an issue with one getting sticking or not responding. Sticks were great, didn’t have any sort of drifting. D-Pad I didn’t use much, but any time I needed to swing anything I was hitting the intended direction without error even with it being a circular D-pad.

The mic communication buttons are well placed up top on the controller, the volume and chat buttons are easy to reach, as they are closest to where your thumbs rest, the others I look at since the lights indicate your selection but you really only need to select your preset and not think about it again unless you want to change.

The Audio has several presets depending on where you want the audio to focus, I typically had the superhuman hearing off, it did make things louder, however it also made me feel like things where closer than they actually are, which can help you react before hand, but made it feel like I was getting flanked in the middle of another firefight.

I felt the standard audio while changing the EQ was best personally, but may differ for others. The programmable quick action buttons are pretty awesome, you can configure multiple presets depending on what you’re playing, A and B was a preferred for me since I can crouch or jump easily without having to take my hands off the thumbsticks.

I did play with the Pro-Aim focus and I did notice a difference in feel when aiming down sight, it’s a little hard for me to pinpoint what but I did leave this setting on for sometime. I did however find if you have the Pro-Aim on highest setting and hold the quick-action button behind your right thumb stick it did significantly slow down my turning speed.

I had it set to my crouch, so I would hold the button to slide and try to turn around but I would turn very very slowly. I switched crouch to the button behind my left hand and this wasn’t an issue anymore, plus you do not run into the same thing when using the face buttons, so something with the quick action back right.

Other than that the only thing that was off to me was the position of the change view and menu button, have to reach a little lower with my thumb than I am used to so I would look down for that, but would get used to that over time.

Overall the build is great, sturdy controller and braided wire, I’m happy! Definitely going to use this for any controller based PC games while using it for the Series X when my batteries arent’ charged.

The controller being updated to include the share button is a nice touch! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a wired controller, the audio controls alone through this in front of any other wired controller for me since you get that quick volume adjustment without having to pop in a menu or purchase a stereo adapter for the controller!.

I bought this in August of 2021, searching for a new controller to game on PC. I was looking specifically for a wired controller because using plain Xbox wireless controllers that I had lying around simply ruined the USB port connections to the charging cables.

Long story short, controller feels good. Shaped a bit differently, but going in blindly it is the Xbox controllers. Buttons have good travel, textured triggers feel exactly the same (to me), and the back buttons did get used.

This surprised me as I figured it was more of a gimmick than anything else. Now, as of this review (~6 months in), there is q major issue with joystick drift. Specifically, when in game, trying to move a character forward is equal to running in knee-deep water.

It’s constantly fighting back and menu selection is like playing a game of roulette. I’ve gotten into competitive gaming sessions and dropped it on numerous occasion, but that is the extent of the physical abuse.

No attempt to boomerang the thing out the window. Maybe it was just an issue I’ve experienced, but it is a major pain because now I’ve got to buy another controller. All in all, I’d recommend it regardless.

Especially with the features built-in like the integrated DAC and mappable buttons. But your mileage may vary, as with potentially any controller.

First off, I want to say I loved this controller until it failed. The ergonomics of it, the customization, the paddles, and responsiveness, all for $60. But I was expecting it to AT LEAST last 6 months before experiencing at fatal failure.

I highly recommended this controller to my Twitch following in those first few months of owning it, because I loved it so much. However, I can’t recommend it at this point with only a 3 month lifespan.

I take very good care of my equipment. I clean my controller nightly after playing. I make sure not to put excess pressure on the power cable connected, to ensure it does not damage the input jack or the cable.

I unplug the power cable when I am done playing. Unfortunately, the input jack still failed in less than 3 months. I purchased on 8/30/2021 and the controller began disconnecting during competitive matches in Rocket League.

I tried other USB-C cables to make sure it wasn’t just a failure of the OEM power cable, but the issue continued. The jack itself wiggles inside the controller and is loose, so the failure is quite evident.

I have sent a service request to Turtle Beach, and hopefully they will address this issue. If they do, I will gladly amend this review, and give the replacement another chance to impress me as much as the first one did.

I love it. It’s a decent build quality, and for the price I can’t complain. If I paid a little more, I would have gone with something with a grip on the back. But I personally love the RGB and the smoothness of the controller.

Plus the actually controls are very responsive. All around good controller. Works for both Windows PC and Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. It is wired, even though the cord can be unplugged from the controller, it does NOT have any wireless functions.

If you want a wireless controller just get the standard Xbox controller.

Major issue with one button, otherwise a good controller. I’ll start with the issue. The A button started to stick after about a month of using the controller consistently. I opened it up a few times and found there is a molded rubber piece that acts as the spring to push several of the buttons back up.

The is rubber part serves 5 buttons, A, B, X, start and menu. At each button the rubber has a nub or button shape that pops up and down. The rubber connecting the nub to the rest of the molded piece appears not to wear out and fails with moderate use.

There was no visible damage to the part but it just fails to work, or if it does work it is very inconsistent. Like I said aside from the problem, which appears to be fairly common, it is a comfortable controller with haptic feedback that worked as soon as I plugged it in.

I am a violent person with regard to gamepads. I consider it a matter of pride to destroy hardware in use, as such destruction indicates that I am operating at the extreme margin. If there were a picture-definition of “abusive gamer”, it would be mine.

Short of hurling it at my screen like a donkey’s posterior, I have dropped, tossed, stepped on, spilled countless known (and unknown. ) fluids. This pad has taken such wanton abuse, seemingly, with reckless abandon.

in fact, even intimidating me to go further. When the sticks get a little wonky, i just recalibrate thanks to the software and keep on crushing. #bossgamepadkilla.

*disclaimer* I can only compare to my previous controller the Razer Wolverine Ultimate. I have not used an Elite Series 2, any Scuf, Turtle Beach etc. This may be considerably better than those I don’t know.

My wolverine ultimate A button stopped working and apparently Razer doesn’t make that controller anymore so I settled for the V2 Chroma which hasn’t impressed me near as much as the wolverine ultimate did.

My first and biggest grip. the start and select buttons are in a HORRENDOUS location. I mean look at where they are and think about trying to use those buttons in tense moments when you need to get in and out of a menu as quick as possible.

This issue is exacerbated by the fact that this controller is stretched out horizontally more than the previous controller (more resemblant of a PS controller) so now you have to reach to push the buttons and on the left side you have to go OVER the stick.

terrible. Finish of the controller doesn’t feel nearly as good as the wolverine ultimate – it feels like lighter, cheaper plastic. The grips on the backside of the wolverine ultimate were a nice soft rubber, but on this one it’s no more than a knurled plastic that just rubs on your hand and makes it feel raw after gaming for extended amounts of time.

The sticks are good, the D pad is circular now but the button stroke is much longer to use it. Similar to the D pad is the A, B, X, and Y buttons. You still get the mechanical click but that’s pointless if the stroke feels just as long as the standard xbox controller.

It’s just a longer (time) commitment to push these buttons now. The strokes were very short and quick on the wolverine ultimate. Apparently input lag is really good (low) on this but unless your controller is a potato I really don’t think you’ll notice it that much.

or if your controller just has bad wireless software/hardware. I’m not sure what they were thinking on this, I’ll probably return it soon because I expect better for the price to be honest.

The controller is a brilliant 4/5 with only some minor collective details costing it a point. I use this controller connected to a PC and use it for games such as Call of duty, rocket league and a few other games.

I bought it as I play both cod and rocket league in highly competitive matches. Let’s start with the pro’s – the weight of this thing is just right, not to light it moves when you pull triggers but no so heavy you want to put it down after a couple of hours.

– it looks very nice, great sleek look with slim RGB’s – the main buttons (lettered) are a real pleasure to press, clicky and snappy makes it really reactive, hair triggered too so you won’t need to slam your thumb down, just a quick tap and you got it, but strong enough so you don’t accidentally jump in the middle of sneaking.

– the thumb sticks are brilliant, they’re really nice and smooth on rotation but strong on the centre so when you let go they snap back into place, no concern of drifting here, you also get the choice of short sticks or long sticks (preference on aiming in FPS) and they can be changed in an instant due to magnets.

– the triggers are what I fell in love with, on rocket league I can use the full 100% trigger pull and control my speed, then by switching to a 25% pull I can change it to a mouse click for games like call of duty.

This is a HUGE bonus for me as it makes firing a gun that much quicker. – wired, I personally love a wired controller, no worries about lag, drop out, batteries and the cable is a hard standing braided USB C high speed cable.

-the paddles. Now, another main reason why I bought this was because of the paddles. Having a jump button, a rotate or whatever I want on the back means so much. This means my thumbs stay on the thumb sticks.

I never have to stop aiming to reload or bounce around a corner or use boost. This is huge!!! I personally don’t mind that they’re upright paddles (this means they don’t go off to the side but they more face directly down) and they stand off the controller meaning I can rest my fingers on them easily, however.

My hands are the size of a meteors so others may be put off by this. Now let’s talk about where it dropped the points. – Software, the PC software is… ok. Nothing amazing but not something that’s impossible to use.

It’s easy to adjust and create profiles but what would be amazing would be if it had some sort of sharing profiles so that I can upload a profile to the world, or simply download one. – this one is small but it matters to me, the start and select button are in really weird places, offset at a diagonal angle meaning your thumbs have to learn a new location for something they’ve become Used to over years, causing you to occasionally look down meaning you’re not in the game.

– no carry case, this might not seem huge especially if you’re like me and don’t take your controllers out much. But it means I have no where proper to store the additional thumb sticks. Sure I can buy a case but that’s another £25.

I haven’t used the headphone slot due to my headphones being plugged into a rig, but from what I can see it’s a solid 10/10, you can control chat volume compared to game volume and overall volume but pressing a couple of buttons.

That’s huge and I would 100% use it if I had too. Overall I would 100% recommend this product giving it an easy 9/10. I’ve used the Xbox elite controller and these two controllers are very close but I much prefer this one purely due to the build quality and overall feel.

This controller works with current Xbox Consoles and Windows PCs. The App is the same for both platforms available through the Microsoft Store. It allows a lot of control over the Chroma lighting on the controller.

The app allows customization of the extra triggers and buttons, allowing customization of the controls outside of a game’s own button customization options. The dedicated Audio config button, below the SHARE button, allows on the fly mixing of the levels of both in game volume and chat volumes, individually.

I like the feel of the controller, the thing that took the most to get use to was the position of the menu buttons to the left and right of the home button. I love the hair trigger slider for both main trigger buttons, helps with some control schemes in games.

I was initially skeptical that the magnetic thumbstick hats would be secure enough, but they have never accidentally came off. The ability to switch to a taller hat on one thumbstick is nice, that and being able to switch one thumbstick between concave and convex on a controller is nice.

I keep the nice box the controller came in, partially to keep the not in use Hats in a safe place. The main X, Y, B, A button press feeling is different from standard xbox controllers, has a bit more resistance and a click, with a more solid feeling.

The D-pad is more precise and clicky than a standard controller, also with a tiny bit more resistance, not as much as the difference in the X, Y, B, A buttons, but noticeable. The controller is of course corded only with no batteries or wireless ability.

The cord is of a good length and is USB C on the controller and USB A on the other end. All in All, this is a very nice configureable controller with very nice lighting option to match up with the rest of your LED light setup on Xbox and PC.

I would recommend whole heartedly.

This controller is better than the original Xbox series x controller, sticks are tight and accurate, buttons are snappy you can also wake and turn on the console with this controller 10/10

Got a pc that didn’t have Bluetooth enabled so this was a life saver. Easy plug and go. Using on windows 10

I like this more than the elite controller because it feels and operates much more like a DualShock controller.

Great wired controller. Tactile feedback, responsive, and smooth. The additional buttons on top are comfortable to use and handy. I’ve seen these priced anywhere from $50-$100. $100 is a little steep but still worth it considering the regular price of controllers.

I’ve bought three of these; two for others and one for me. Used with PC on Windows 11. The white controller looks great but shows dirt and grime very easy and requires cleaning every couple days with regular use, roughly 4 or 5 hours per day playing shooters.

The black ones don’t show as much dirt (doesn’t mean it’s not there). The button mapping made use of additional software I found for free in the windows store. Can map most of the other buttons on the controller to work on the extra bumper buttons.

For example your ‘A’ button still jumps, but the ‘A’ input is also triggered by the mapping so you would have two usable jump buttons.

Impressive controller at this price-point. After carefully disregarding all negative reviews and smartly seeing through the reasoning most people gave this a low score I opted to give it a try. I cannot speak to longevity yet, only had it for a month – knowing most of my controllers burn out after 6 months of use due to heavy gameplay, if I can get this to last the same or longer it would be worth it for me.

Build and feel are better then expected – imagines make this controller look giant, but actually fits well in the hands. Hands aren’t strained and grips are still grippy after a 12 hour session. Sticks glide buttons very responsive – the two additional buttons are placed in a smart way which make it easy to get to.

The hard wire is a huge plus – even usbc wears out at the port.

I have always liked the look and feel of Razer controllers and this one is no different. I purchased it primarily for the Xbox Series X, but I can confirm that it also works with the Xbox One. It is about the same size as the Microsoft made ones but has texturized grips, two extra buttons beside the bumpers(rb and lb, which some reviews complain the extra buttons get in the way, but I have had no issues with that), and the buttons make a click noise when pressed which I find satisfying.

I find all of the buttons, analog sticks, and the d-pad to be as responsive as the Microsoft made controllers. I actually prefer this Razer controller over Microsoft’s(mostly because of the grips and clicks).

It is wired, so that saves on batteries. I would definitely recommend getting one if you play on Xbox Series X/S and/or Xbox One.

Owned this controller along with the wireless one. We still use the Xbox 360 sometimes when the kids decide they want to play an older game on it. Controller still works to this day with no issues. The cord has pros and cons.

Pros being that you do not have to worry about the controller dying mid-game. Cons are that the cord can be tripped on if people or pets walk by and the cord can get tangled or caught on things. Overall, I recommend this controller.

Obviously, the best (and most important) feature is that it has virtually zero-latency. I play a lot of games where timing is everything, so for me, it’s imperative to have something that’s super responsive.

This has made a notable difference in game play over my old controller. It comes with 2 different length sticks to choose from – one set is standard and the other is convex. One really cool feature is the 4 paddle levers that attach to the back, that you can program with specialized moves.

You can use or remove any or all of these as you like, so if you don’t need them on a particular game and want to remove them, you can. Another cool feature is the programmable trigger which allows you to set the throw and range.

It also has an audio jack, so you can use it with a headset if you like. Another nice feature is the soft rubberized grips. I was actually kind of surprised how much more comfortable it was to use (especially for long periods of time) than the traditional Xbox controller and it does work for both Xbox and PC.

Lastly, it comes with 2 different color faceplates (one white, one black) and it all comes with a hard shell case to store it (and all it’s extra parts) in when not in use. Overall, definitely worth getting.

I have two of these same exact controllers. I play a lot of Fallout but my B button on the original controller was sticking a bit at a certain angle. It just needed to be cleaned but I panicked after Amazon was backed up over three weeks and over priced because of the supply chain issues.

So I grabbed this one as a back up as quickly as I could and delivered in two days. I play under Windows 10 on a Lenovo Legion this controller pairs instantly via Bluetooth. Functions are quick with excellent response.

This controller is perfect for windows 10 PC gaming via bluetooth if you understand how to pair and game. Buttons are normal controller is fine and anyone with an issue probably doesn’t understand what they are purchasing or how thier system works.

Cons: Requires two AA batteries. Includes none. I had some but I can’t remember the last time that I bought something that didn’t include batteries. I wonder how many people received this as a gift and couldn’t even use it out of the box.

That’s a rather pathetic cost cutting measure. Includes a cable, USB-A to USB-C. The cable is require to program or update using the Xbox Accessories program even if you connect it via Bluetooth. My system only has USB-C/Thunderbolt.

So, the included cable is worthless to me. I have to buy a USB-C TO USB-C cable. Frequently drops its Bluetooth connection even after updating Windows 10 and all Dell drivers. Every five to ten minutes it goes dead and the connect button flashes while it reestablishes its connection.

Allegedly, an firmware update may fix it but I have to buy the previously mentioned cable first. Pros: It feels nice and, if you ignore the software and firmware issues, it seems well made. Recommendation: If you’re buying this for your PC, hard pass until they address the well documented problems with this controller.

If you need something right now, look somewhere else.

I love this controller. For the price, you can’t beat it. I use mine mainly for playing PC games. My first one lasted over a year, only reason it was replaced with the new one was because it fell off my desk one too many time.

Everything still worked but the older one’s case was finally cracked where my palm wound rest. Seriously this controller can take a beating. OEM controllers would last me 3 months and that was the sticks wearing out.

PDP has made a tank of a controller. This new one I have has lasted almost a year now and thats because I attached the cord to my desk so if it does fall, doesn’t hit the floor anymore.

This Rematch Advanced Wired Controller not only looks rad, but I love how I can utilize the app to ensure I get a customized and enhanced fit that works specifically for me! Super easy to make even the slightest of adjustments via the app on the fly.

With the unique green/blue digi color/design, no longer will my controller (like ever) be mistaken for my friends’ controller when we have a duel. The touch grips/triggers provide for a smooth, comfortable and meticulous accuracy.

The wired controller provides for an 8-foot-long cord, so plenty of slack. Great addition to my gaming experience/system.

As far as plastic musical instruments go, this particular model has been somewhat clunky and unreliable for me. I have reasons that I stick with it, primarily it’s lower price in comparison with the wireless LP models, and that fact that it’s powered USB instead of AA batteries.

I recently purchased my 3rd Xplorer guitar. The previous two both had mysterious button failure (both the green button) that I cannot repair. Pros: Cheaper to replace than the Wireless model No batteries means less money spent (or less time recharging) No signal interference or missed notes that the wireless sometimes suffers Cons: Shorter lifespan than wireless models Cord keeps you tethered to your console, preventing long-distance jamming Whammy bar is often very loose and dangles around Overall, this is an average instrument for GH.

The Les Paul from GH3 (after you fix the neck) seems much more reliable, but goes for $20-30 more. They’re both just plastic guitars, but this one just seems to break more often than the wireless and RB instruments.

Average!.

I decided to buy this for the PC clone of Guitar Hero called Frets On Fire. I read on a few forums this has a USB connection and will work with windows XP and above. Had to find drivers on the website before it worked for my xp system though.

Works great. I just have to get used to spreading my fingers out to where they need to be. I’m not or never was a guitar player so it’s going to take some adjusting. Also the whammy bar doesn’t work with FOF, but that doesn’t matter anyway.

-= PROS =- Works on PC with USB Works with FOF Feels sturdy. I think it will last. -= CONS =- Whammy bar doesn’t work with FOF. It is however recognized by windows. Buttons are spread a little too far apart for my hand.

I’ll adjust. White. I would definitely recommend buying this if you like Guitar Hero or FOF.

Well, as you all know there is no official GH3 controller for PC. This controller works perfectly, windows recognizes it with no problems, its basically plug and play. Gives a whole new experience while playing GH3, no where near playing with a keyboard.

If you’re a GH3 fan, and you’re playing on PC, this guitar is the way to go. It’s compatible with both Gh3 : Legends of rock , and GH3 : Aerosmith and I hope it will be compatible with GH4 as well. Oh yea, you can play frets on fire too with it.

Out of the box, this controller feels responsive and sturdy. After 2 months and 50+ hours in Dragon’s Dogma (not a game that is easy on a controller) it’s still responsive and sturdy. The shoulder buttons have a nice click.

All the other buttons are responsive. The control sticks center themselves still and feel sturdy still. L3 and R3, ( the stick buttons) are easy, but not too easy, to push and also have a nice click.

I’ve had more issues with 3 of the 5 official controllers I have had. The light can be turned on, turned off, or turned to flash when the vibration kicks in. One or two of the lights seem to shoot right into my eyes as I play so I don’t use them.

The kids do though and seem to enjoy using the controller when it’s their turn to use it. From turning off the system, to moving between PC and Xbox, the controller remembers the setting you last had on.

Big plus. The button to toggle the lighting is out of the way and there’s no way to hit it accidentally during play. Speaking of which, using on PC has been great. It’s recognized as a 360 controller for all of the games I’ve tried it with while playing on Steam using Windows 10.

The two small caveats to this controller are 1) the casing is solid plastic, so hands tend to stick and sweat more than any other controller I’ve owned. 2) The control sticks centers are moved slightly inward, meaning the angle at which you press forward on the controller to move forward on-screen is a tad pigeon-toed.

In other words to move straight in-game, I have to move the control stick forward and slightly towards the other control stick. So moving both sticks forward to get straight movement on-screen is like this / \.

Hope that makes sense. Other thoughts: The cord is at least 6 feet (can’t remember at this time) and is sturdy, as well as it’s connection to the controller. The clear casing is pretty cool in that you can see the internal functions and gadgets, like the feedback motors spinning and the colored button cylinders.

The controller has the connections on the bottom for headset and keyboard and such, but I have yet to try those. The controller feels slightly smaller than an official controller, but I am 6 feet with big hands and it feels comfortable even after a few hours of continuous use.

(The model number I purchased is 3702BL and is the AfterGlow. It looks like PDP makes more than one Xbox 360 controller that lights up, like the A. X and I didn’t buy that one).

I have used this remote, going through 4 of these remotes, for a whole 7 years playing Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. In my opinion, it’s the best gamepad for fighting games because of how easy it is to input half-circle motions and dragon-punch motions with the thumbstick.

The triggers feel good as well, which help me plink dash in game. I would say I go through a ton of these remotes would be because I play UMvC3 almost every day while rigorously beating up the thumbstick.

I’m also not a friggen’ casual. Highly recommend! Also, pls my local Walmart doesn’t sell these anymore and without it I can’t play UMvC3.

This controller is straight forward with no unwanted add-ons and an instant plug-and-play makes it ready to go on the fly. My two boys are rough with toys and especially controllers. I connected two controllers to a set of usb extensions from the xbox and tethered them to a metal shelf.

Trip on a controller or pull one out – Don’t have to worry about pulling down the xbox one. You may wonder why did I go with wired then? Because they are cheaper and I don’t have to worry about my expensive FPS wireless controller getting caked with candy or broken.

The four bars light up when connected Very durable analog mechanism/thumbstick movement The grip pads on the sides are a great feature to avoid slippage while gaming. No Cons!.

This controller is great if you need a cheap spare for the original Xbox. It even has analogue face-buttons, which is quite rare for third party controllers. It does feel very cheap, but for the price, it’s hard to argue.

Controller works fine for most common users, it feels good in the hand, seems to have no stuck buttons. I haven’t had it long enough to speak for the durability of it. It seems made well enough. The reason why I did not rate this item higher, it DOES NOT seem to work on LINUX based mod tools, such as the ones required to TSOP an XBOX or clone a hard drive with CHIMP.

So if you are buying this and you do not have an original controller, you will still need to purchase an additional original controller. For this reason I rated the item to reflect these shortcomings.

Well constructed, great in the hand. If I dare say, I prefer it over the original “s” controller. There have been no issues and I am really happy with it. I may buy another. Works great on all of my retro games/emulators.

Many thanks Z Labs. The controller arrived in a timely manner and in its own Z Labs controller box. Love the Z Labs logo on the controller too. Happy to completely recommend this controller and supplier, who incidentally, have great comms.

Controller was decent. returned it for a better controller that was on sale, which was the afterglow wired controller. It was a bit pricier (5 dollars more, i think), but it was worth it for 2 reasons for me: 1.

This PowerA controller has 2 buttons on the back that I often would hit since they are placed on the grips of the controller where my fingers would rest. Hence, any tense or quick moments that occur in my game tends to make me grip the controller tighter, forcing me to press one of the grip buttons.

With the Afterglow controller, I do not have this problem. 2. The placement of the plus, minus, photo and home buttons on the controller are too confusingly close together; granted, I’m coming primarily from a primarily Xbox player, but I constantly get them confused and end up pressing the wrong one if I don’t look down at the controller for the button I want to press.

Again, the Afterglow controller is preferable because the home and photo button are placed much higher away and further away from the plus and minus buttons on this PowerA Controller. Aside from these 2 reasons/comparisons, this controller was functional and worth it if you are on a very tight budget (under 20 bucks).

There were no errors or problems I had with this controller from the 1-2 weeks I was using it (about 20 hours total playtime).

This controller is very functional for several reasons. It is a great backup that never needs a charge when the wireless controllers run out of battery. It also is much more comfortable and ergonomic to hold when playing more immersive games like Mario.

The small switch remotes can be uncomfortable to use for long periods of time and the buttons are too close together, so this controller is a great alternative. I love the changing rainbow backlights, they are super cool.

I also love the grip of the controller, the texture keeps it from slipping out of my hands. I also don’t mind using a wired controller either this one, because the cord is very long so it reaches to my couch with no problems.

Highly recommend this remote (or maybe even 2) for anyone with a Nintendo Switch.

TL:DR – Great controller for PC players and the Switch Pro controller design is real nice. Build quality is cheap so may be a good idea to buy two when around the 15. 99 mark. Great for Devil May Cry 5 too! Can’t speak of long term reliability, but the controller has survived a solid week of Devil May Cry 5 gameplay.

If you don’t know what that is lookup the kind of combos people pull off; it’s a great test of controller durability and input latency since some moves require frame perfect inputs. Build quality is.

okay for the price range. Can’t complain at sub $20 on sale and the screenshot button is a treat on Steam games. Yes, this controller can be used on PC with little to no issues (no issues in my case).

Compared to the Xbox and dual-shock controllers Nintendo really nailed a good balance between comfort and usability. Triggers are quite short, but let you pull of very easy strings of presses. The buttons have very low actuation while most other controllers have a bit more distance before the button presses and the sticks feel nice.

The two programmable back buttons are a treat too, but wish you could do create macros though excellent when in use for hard to reach buttons you need to hold down or for dpad inputs. Be warned, the controller from a feel perspective is very meh, but in use is more than enough.

The super long USB cable is great and if you have any devices that use that port you’re in luck. Cable length alone is probably as much as the controller! Only issues I have with it are how long before the controller breaks down or develops issues.

I have soldering experience so if it does I can just order new parts, but for the average user it may be a good idea to pick up two when they are on sale and call it a day till both break.
