Steve Sansweet’s previous work, From Concept, To Screen, To Collectible, is a widely loved book by the author, and generally it gives a simpler and more concise look at collecting despite being fairly dated.

This book isn’t nearly as interesting and is often replaces the actual collecting of “practical knowledge” one learns by engaging in the hobby. It’s boring to look at the sheer volume of figures made and that’s really all this book is for.

Get it on steep discount or clearance. It was literally incomplete within a year and that was its maybe one little niche it had going for it. Otherwise just get out, collect, and learn about the hobby by networking and exploring it.

This book is no substitute.

This is an awesome book for the Star Wars fan. So much information and great color photos. Very pleased! Never would have thought there were so many figures in this line. Brought back some great memories of when my brother and I received our first action figures back in 1978!.

This is stand alone series for Star Wars fans. There is some slight cross over with references to the original 6 Star Wars episodes but basically has its own cast of characters. A young street urchin, Ezra, with innate abilities to use the force gets involved with a band of resistance fighters.

He doesn’t know what to do. Strong recurring male and female role models help Ezra in his quest. Should he dedicate himself to the rebel cause or go his own way and live a life of penny ante crime against the Empire.

If you’ve read or viewed any of PhD Joseph Campbell’s many books and videos on philosophy and theology, you know that the hero must find his/her way by making good decisions along the journey. He or she must choose to be hero or villain.

He or she must choose good or evil and sometimes make painful sacrifices. The hero’s quest always works in fiction and video and it works well in this series. The CGI is darn good and you get sucked into the plot.

Perfect for binge watching. Buy the who series.

This season’s stories were great. An excellent follow-up to the long-running Clone Wars series. Highly recommended.

For over forty years we’ve uttered that phrase and know what it means. It’s only in the last 10-15 years that the star wars brand has taken off in an amazing growth of scope and product availability.

Rebels was supposed to be a kid friendly show, but it didn’t know that and turned into an awesome expansion of the skywalker story with some of the most iconic and exciting moments of all the franchise.

In that first episode in the first season where Kanen says “now everyone will know” and ignites his lightsaber announcing the jedi are back, you knew it was going to be special. Not every episode was great but the overarching mythology was.

Ashoka, Darth Vader, Yoda, Ben Kenobi, Darth Maul, Leia, Lando. how could you not love this show? This fourth season is the end and it is a wild ride. From the deep mysticism of the lost ancient jedi religion (thank you for remembering that is what it was considered in the original movie) to the practical battles being fought by the mandalorians to the political machinations of the fledgling rebels, it is an amazing collection of episodes that keep you riveted.

Great storytelling, great music, great visuals, great pacing, great acting. Wisely the season stays focused on the Ghost Crew (rather than the wider rebel alliance) but the story never feels small (um.

last Jedi. you kinda felt small. ) Seeing what happened to Ashoka was amazing. Watching the Jedi end again was heartbreaking (and hits like a sledghammer to the audience AND the characters). And the Loth Wolves are so cool.

I would not recommend you start with Rebels season 4, but you must see it! If you haven’t seen Rebels Season 1-3, see them FIRST. Then see 4. Awesome TV. Awesome storytelling. And the DVDs have good quality also.

I love Star Wars Rebels, I now have the competer series. I have been a Star Wars fan since I was 5. I remember seeing Star Wars, with 5 of my cousins. They came up, and we all watched at the Salem Mall in Dayton.

I like Star Wars rebels because it is a series adults can enjoy, the animation is spectacular. The series takes place 5 yrs before A New Hope. I love all the episodes, some more than others. I would recommend this to any Star Wars fan.

if U are new to Star Wars, try it out. There isn’t anything negative about the series. The shipping was fast, and played perfectly.

This is a nice, neat wrap up to what was an excellent addition to a series in the expanded universe lore. For fans of the animated Star Wars The Clone Wars series who haven’t given this one a shot I recommend it.

It’s a similar look and tone to what you’ve come to expect.

You get a lot in this season. Ezra’s power in the force grows, but his tendencies towards accepting the dark side cause him and the Ghost crew some issues that are essential for character development.

Sabine’s back story finally gets flushed out and she begins to confront her own destiny. But to be honest, the best part of this season is THRAWN. I wish he would’ve been a bit more imposing in voice, but his presence and action in all the episodes does proud the creation from Timothy Zahn’s books.

As ruthless as Vader, but calculating and utterly patient, he shows very well in the series why he became grand admiral. He sees victory in increments as he is aware the campaign to crush the rebellion is a slow one.

I also like how a lot of Ralph McQuarrie’s designs are used throughout the show, like the precursors to droids and combat vehicles that will someday be seen in the original trilogy, paying homage to one of the visionaries that helped breathe life into this sci-fi giant.

You get a LOT of explanation about how the rebellion grew, organized, and acquired personnel and materiel for their war effort. Several times in this season you see the characters risking all for gains unseen, and the culmination to a large battle scene did not disappoint.

You also see a few more faces in the Empire and the development of the TIE Defender, the induction of some of the rebellion’s most crucial members, and that’s all I’ll say for now.

I didn’t give this Season 5 stars just because I love 90% things Star Wars. To me Star Wars is Big Screen! Ok when I watch films I do so on a 180″ movie theater screen with full 7. 1 surround sound and the Buttkicker transducer system.

This is not to Boast but to give an idea of the clarity that I rate both 4k and 1080p films. 1st off regardless if you are huge into 4k or still collect Blu-ray; I will add that with today’s upscaling technology along with upscaling technology on theater projectors, that the difference between Blu-ray & 4k is minimal When you are using screens under 75″.

I will say that going over 180″ that you will likely see a difference and recommend 4k for 150″+ screens. I found this Season to be as perfect in clarity as the previous two. I’m finally getting used to the “look” as compared to the Clone Wars series.

A long time ago in this Galaxy I thought Clone wars was just better in every way, but I feel the writers are bringing us a better story by following these characters through everything from growing pains to continuously adding and filling things into the Star Wars Canon.

Buy, Watch. Wait a while and do it again! Streaming it is fine if you have data plans like I do, but for the average person who may watch these seasons at least once a year then its a great buy. No Cons from me!.

I don’t consider myself a big time Star Wars fan, though I greatly enjoy the movies and some of the supplemental materials. Star Wars Rebels above all other entries in SW canon is the one that’s hooked me the hardest, however, and it’s a series that started strong and has only gotten even better with each new season.

Season 3 boasts the addition of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a cunning new opponent who steps up the threat level facing Phoenix Squadron. It also brings in a few old faces recognizable to fans of the various movies and absolutely does NOT disappoint when it comes to adding said characters to the Rebels side of SW lore.

If you’ve been keeping pace with Star Wars Rebels, season 3 is a must have and the blu-ray set is definitely worth the few extra bucks!.

Whether you just enjoy the movies or you are a diehard fan, I would recommend this set. I am not a diehard fan and recently began to read the books & the movies, I was putting together the DVD’s by getting them second hand, but when I wanted to add breaking dawn 2 I came across this set and it claims to have everything ever put on a DVD’s and more.

The price was less for the set then to buy them all new. I ordered the new set and sold the copies I had. I have not had a chance to view everything that was included in this set yet but I am impressed with what I have seen & anticipate seeing based on the description.

I will say the description on line does not do the actual item I received justice. The cover and album/case that holds the DVD’s is beautifully designed and put together. When explaining it to a fellow twilight fan I had to show her me copy because to online visual just did not give it justice.

Again whether you are a casual fan or a diehard fan if you want Twilight Saga on DVD or Blu-ray I would recommend adding this to your collection, it is put together beautifully and is worthy of an twilight fan.

I bought it because I wanted to keep the dvd set as a keepsake and saw it came with a digital copy. But when it arrived it had no ultraviolet digital copy and asked customer service about it. They said it came with no such thing, that it’s only dvd.

This picture they have for it is very misleading.

This was a wonderful pachage! It had so many bonus features, and I was able to activate the digital copies through Vudu even though the verification codes were out of date! 🙂 I adore this series and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance, fantasy, and suspense! The only DVD with an extended movie option is Breaking Dawn part 1, but when I activated the digital copies, I got access to all the extended versions of each show online.

Great price for a great bundle.

Before I continue with my review, I am going to state that I have slowly started losing interest in Star Wars after it was acquired bu Disney. I could a long paragraph explaining my reasons but I rather review the last season of Rebels.

As I noted before, I have not been a fan of the Disney era Star Wars and unfortunately Rebels has fallen into that category. The show has not been as good as Clone Wars even though it has had its moments.

Overall, I believe the series has had as much hits as misses; however, the finale season is the best season of the series and I believe that it is Clone Wars good. the action sequences are phenomenal and the story is superb; it gets a little convoluted with the world between worlds but it is well done and it ties up nicely with the Motris trilogy from Clone Wars.

This is a must buy. for Star Wars fans.

I collect anything and everything Star Wars. I enjoy the original trilogy movies the most, followed by the prequels, then the Clone Wars cartoons (by Tartakovsky), then the newer Clone Wars cartoons (by Filoni).

After hearing good things about this new installment called Rebels, I decided to give it a try. It wasn’t bad, but it’s geared more towards the younger generation of Star Wars fans. The blu-ray is a little on the expensive side, so if you are able to wait to get this movie with a good deal, that would be better.

Now that the series has concluded, I’m almost sure that there will be a complete series box set available at a discounted rate (compared to purchasing each season individually).

As a huge fan of Star Wars, I was happy to watch another series after Clone Wars. Over four seasons, I have become very fond of these characters who are just as much a part of the Star Wars galaxy as characters in the movies.

This season adds to our knowledge of the Force and brings in some familiar characters. Over four seasons, Ezra Bridger has really grown, and we finally get to learn a little more about the relationship between Kanan and Hera.

There are some very exciting and moving episodes. No Star Wars fan should miss this.

This show brings back the best of Star Wars with what feels like a massive dose of nostalgia though it is being experienced with a mix of brand new characters and some old characters. I’ve found that there’s a nice mix of one off humerus episodes that are great to experience with kiddos and episodes that really carry the narrative forward.

The animation is also a really nice step up from the previous season and clone wars. This is a great series for the new fans, the old fans, the adults, and the kiddos.

This season did everything right in my eyes. It built up on the ending the previous season and made every episode a must watch. It felt like the stakes were at an all-time high. The last two episodes are likely some of the best work Star Wars has given its fans.

The lead up to those final two episodes met all expectations and created a great cliffhanger for the next season. However, one shortcoming I do have is that the new Inquisitors weren’t good. They felt like bland, generic villains that did not have the same menace as the Grand Inquisitor, but it was already a tough task trying to live up to that character.

Star Wars Rebels is an absolute must for all fans of this franchise. The first season gave us a taste of what this small band of Rebels was all about and this season expands on the lore even further.

Fans of the Clone Wars will see characters brought back and those who were more Original Trilogy devotees will see characters in their early years. It’s great Star Wars story telling and gets even better as the saga unfolds.

Any SW fan owes it to themselves to get into this series. As you can see from the cover art, Darth Vader is in several episodes and he’s at his prime and so, so powerful! And one more thing, Ezra continues his apprenticeship as expected.

Growing up late 90’s/early 2000’s allowed me to view the prequel films as they were being released. Albeit I was too young for the phantom menace, I did have a good deal of love for Star Wars going into AOTC.

I rewatched this film the other day, and while it’s plagued with questionable dialogue, it’s got the heart of any Star Wars film you can think of, but told in a unique way. Not everyone has to like this film, and it’s understandable why one wouldn’t- but to discredit the efforts that went into this movie as a whole? Unacceptable.

There’s a great amount of detail and love in these prequel films and I feel as if this movie gets most of the flack. It’s an enjoyable film, and Hayden as Anakin is the best thing that’s ever happened in Star Wars.

I’ve really come to enjoy Star Wars Episodes I-III. I was not a huge fan when they came out originally, but I think Episodes I-VI are excellent to watch. This was supposed to come with a slipcover, and it was advertised online with a slipcover look.

The only Star Wars of this edition that came with a slipcover was Return of the Jedi. I returned every one but Return of the Jedi to try to get the slipcover, but the replacements only arrived with just the plastic case.

Whatever.

look. i keep bringing up/ complaining that these disney movies are coming out scratched! i just went and returned this a second time and my 4k player won’t play the main disk because theyre deeply scratched! like they didnt even try too package it correctly, they just said screw it lets get as many of tases out as possible within an hour, therefore the disks are scratched.

i have gotten some with literally finger prints on them. kinda crap is that?? but the movie is good tho I’ve seen them before theyre not as bad as people make them sound to be, yeah the cgi is weirdly bad but it doesnt ruin the end product.

I love the Star Wars series and the middle three (episodes 4-6) are my faves. But in the first 3 movies, The Phantom Menace is my favorite. Liam Neeson is just really great in this movie. In regards to this specific 4K edition, I felt that it was good, but I can’t give it an excellent.

My OPPO gives a good upgrade with the blu-ray and I didn’t see a major improvement, not like some of the other 4K movies, but there was a little better visuals than the blu-ray.

This movie doesn’t get much love from the Star Wars fandom but although it has flaws it also has some great moments and spectacular setpieces. Liam Nieson is phenomenal as Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jin! The pod race is amazing CGI especially for 1999.

It still holds up well today! And the ending battle of Darth Maul vs Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan is one of the best lightsaber fights in the franchise! The movie looks great in 4K.

Bought this solely for testing the 10m pod race. The screaming, whizzing, thumping, and panning left to right in ATMOS high bit rate sounds so much better and cleaner than on Disney plus. Running this on a Klipsch 5.

I love the movies. Always have. The screen-sizing of my trilogy missed the boat. It is so bad it is irritating to watch. First time I have ever had this problem.

I love Star Wars. These movies were in perfect condition that truly awesome to watch. Just love them immensely! Watching the Star Wars trilogy. Brought back all the wonderful memories that I had with my sons when they were little and we watched the movies together.

Was bought for my grandson for Christmas. He has actually watched it yet. But I’m sure will love it.

My son and I love this show and love that the DVD’s are available for all previous 3 seasons. Great quality, love the bonus material of background info on the characters, voice actors, and creative team.

They even make Rebels Recon extra fun with Chopper running loose harassing the staff. Great fun!.

This is okay for another type of Star Wars. When you have seen so many other producers from Disney, you get spoiled. I don’t know why George Lucas let someone else alter his story, but that’s the way it is.

Israel is a wannabe jedi without real proper training.

I binge watched the whole season over and over. Compelling and intense revelations, actions, and resolutions. The season ties well into the SW Rogue One movie. Collectors and Fans will enjoy this season series set.

To the point, I found The Last Jedi to be an enjoyable film but definitely a Deconstruction of the Traditional Star Wars film as well as evolving characters in some unlikely directions. First let me say, as the first Star Wars Film to be released in 4K, it looks stunning.

Characters are clear and effects truly pop. No one can say that it looks bad. As for the movie itself, it truly sets the tone with a “prank” call scene where Poe makes a fool of General Hux. At this point, you know that you are in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars and there is no turning back.

Minor Spoilers. The Resistance had a great victory against the The New Order in The Force Awakens but this is short lived as they quickly recover and get into position to bombard the Resistance into extinction.

Poe who could do no wrong in the first movie buys time for the Resistance to escape but with heavy loses – which now puts him in Leia’s dog house for disobeying orders to retreat sooner. This then sets up an issue of trust which progresses through the movie and creates a conflict when Poe is demoted and believes The Resistance should be doing one thing while his higher ups desire another – all while The New Order is chasing them down to destroy them when their fuel runs out.

Meanwhile, Rey who could also do no wrong in the first movie meets our long lost Jedi Master and is ready to learn the ways of the Force from the living myth, Luke Skywalker. Of course, Rian Johnson once again makes this universe his when he has Luke do the unthinkable when Rey hands him his Father’s lightsaber.

What the Poe scene did to show the tone of the film, Luke’s action takes it to dramatic levels of Rian Johnson bending the Star Wars Universe to his vision. From here, there are secret plans concocted to save The Resistance from itself, introductions of new characters that are given immediate importance, surprising character deaths, character changes to the point of assassination, detours that could be interpreted as political statements and revelations and actions that occur that blatantly contradict previous continuity of the movies and its established mythology.

And still, I enjoyed the film. The characters deliver their lines with great emotion and subtlety when needed and the set pieces look beautiful. By the time the film was done, I couldn’t believe it was over as I never looked at my watch once.

There are a few visual mistakes such as in the throne room battle, but Rian has an eye for great set transitions as well as easy, transitioning storytelling. It just all depends if you will like where this story leads you.

One thing I will say, go into this movie with an open mind and just relax and enjoy. However, if you are one who sees this as a full extension of the original trilogy, you may walk away very disappointed.

I did not get to see this movie in theaters when it was released due to a disability that I have. I was able to pre-purchase it before the DVD release via VUDU and streamed it through my 4k UHD 65″ television.

Yes, the action and visual spectacles were there I must admit. The expansion of the new characters were presented more thoroughly and new characters were added. I do plan to purchase the 4k UHD DVD for the sake of having a physical copy for my collection.

I have my Best Buy Reward Zone points to pay for a chunk of the cost. :). I am a big fan of Best Buy and it is evident by my being an Elite Plus member. *Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you haven’t already seen the movie.

* However, in relation to this episode, one of our beloved characters was cut out for a chunk portion of the movie that I would have loved to seen more of. And, another made the ultimate sacrifice at the ending which I feel could have been done in a different way to keep the character alive for the next installment.

Yes, it is still possible to see this character in the next film. I really just don’t want to see that character in the way that has been speculated in Episode 9. In the Empire Stikes back, Han Solo was frozen in carbonite and was being taken to Jabba the Hut for the bounty, but that movie left hope for the next installment of possibly saving him.

This one did not leave “Hope”, for the one character that has been a beacon in Episodes 4 through 6. It also took the the use of “The Force” way beyond what it was used for in past episodes. The top main powerful live villain in this episode, nor the ones in previous episodes, did not project their image through the use of “The Force”.

They were projected from holographic imaging devices. I thought this new way of projecting images of a live character was a little far-fetched. Sadly, the loss of Carrie Fisher leaves no hope of her character’s return in Episode 9.

That is unless she had already filmed her scenes for the next episode that we are not aware of, which I highly doubt. I did not suspect that this episode would end up the way that it did and I was highly disappointed.

The ending was a downer to me and it left no hope for one character’s live return in the next, and supposedly, last installment of this trilogy. That is really all that I have to say about this film.

It is my own personal opinion and likely will not reflect those of others. That is why I am giving this film 3-stars, and only for the action, visualization, and John Williams touch with the music. I am only recommending this to friends just for the sake of keeping up with what has gone on before the next movie is released.

The Last Jedi soars with a remarkable, powerful, full-featured Dolby Atmos soundtrack. But as with the companion Blu- ray’s DTS 7. 1 presentation, this one is best enjoyed, and fully realized, at a calibrated 0Db, whereas some other tracks may present too loudly at that setting.

Regardless, once the volume is in proper position, the track produces one of the most enriching and perfectly complimentary listens on the market. Even as there are only scattered moments of discrete overhead engagement, the added fluidity, spatial volume, and total stage coverage make the Atmos track a superior to the DTS presentation.

The track delivers a seemingly endless assault of musical and sound effects joy, both playing with fully engaged side and surround immersion. John Williams’ score is, of course, a highlight, belting triumphant, stage-stretching and surround-encompassing goodness and rumbling support bass in deep and dense musical cues that presents essential notes and subtle support details with equal clarity.

Action scenes are huge. Smaller ships zip, larger ships rumble, blaster fire penetrates the entire stage in one seamless line, and lightsabers tear about the soundstage with their distinctive, bass-heavy density, whether as Rey practices her trade on Ahch-To or during a key lightsaber battle partway through the film.

Additionally, various scenes in which Ren and Rey telepathically communicate with one another see their voices swirl around the listening area with a precision that melts away the speakers, so clear and precise is the presentation.

Canto Bight is home to some prodigious bass first as various racing creatures power along a racetrack and later as one of them bellows in a rumbling baritone. There’s no end to the track’s dominance.

Every scene enjoys perfect complimentary detail, whether modest support atmospherics or large music and fluidly moving action. Dialogue is clear and precise, the final piece to an exceptionally well engineered and extremely enjoyable Star Wars sound bonanza.

After waiting for weeks for a Deluxe Edition restock, I caved in and bought the standard edition just so I wouldn’t miss out on the Steelbook as well. (Before eny of you megamind say “butt muhh preorderr”, I just got the PS5, I didn’t even know if I ever could, so excuse me for not wanting to spend $100+ on a slim possibility) The regular plastic case was wrapped in plastic and the steelbook was taped to the plastic wrap with the most ungodly pieces of double-sided tape I have ever had the displeasure of laying eyes on.

It brought off tiny patches of paint with it and my fingers are on fire. I cant wait to play the game but I will be avoiding Best Buy whenever I can after seeing how horribly they handled this exclusive rollout.

How hard could it be to plastic wrap them together? Or both if them separately? Steelbook is the reason I chose it over the digital copy from the PS Store and now it has tiny spots with no color that will bug me for the rest of eternity.

I would recommend anyone who doesn’t desperately want the steelbook to just buy it online. I’m severely upset with this product.

I didn’t really start into LEGO games until my kids started into them during the Wii U era, so I was late to the Star Wars series. There is a clear distinction between the older and newer titles which was a shame because Star Wars and LEGO go so well together.

Having several LEGO Star Wars sets I’ve built and my kids have played with its great to see the series return. On PS5 it plays and looks better than I would say any LEGO game to date. That said this is the first LEGO game released during the current gen of consoles.

Although features like ray tracing are abscent the game looks great. With classic LEGO humor and what seems like a combination of possibly movie dialog and new voice work the game hits at nuanances of the film franchise.

I’d possibly recommend anyone playing these view the films first. Each of the nine films is represented in a three to four hour segment that offers typical LEGO game minibrick and stud collection to unlock characters and extras.

If you enjoy LEGO or Star Wars there is plenty to enjoy in this game.

Great sequel to the Lego Star Wars series. Starting a long time ago (15ish yrs). in well this galaxy Lego Star Wars The Video Game was released, followed by the Original Trilogy, combined into the Complete Saga, then covering the tv show came 3 The Clone War, with The Force Awakens releasing in more recent times.

Each game added its own spin, new characters, vehicles, updated combat, side missions. The Lego Star Wars series has always been a joy to play through, The Skywalker Saga completely surpasses all of them.

While there are some noticeable cut corners (no openworld in Jabba’s Palace) or Starkiller Base completely missing from free roam. There is so many new additions, side quests, and characters that it all makes up for it.

It is very clear why this game was delayed not once, but twice. Yes the levels are noticeably short, but the content is varied (but slightly repetitive) and plentiful. Easily a worthwhile purchase.

I love Star Wars and I love Legos. Ive played the LEGO Star Wars game and Ive played the LEGO original trilogy and I love them both. I love the way the complete saga updates the graphics slightly as well as adding so much more to find in each level as well as so many more extra levels and bonuses.

The music in this game is straight out of the movies and thats so amazing and makes the game feel so good. I only wish the game had classic controller support. To where the game plays with the Wii remote and the nunchucks feels like its trying to emulate a traditional controller and I am and I feel like it would be better to just have a traditional controller like the Wii classic controller or Wii classic controller pro.

I have gotten pretty used to the way the game controls with the Wii remote and the nunchuck but Ive also played the previous Lego Star Wars games on PlayStation 2 with the dual shock controller as well as the same exact game on PS3 with the door shock controller and it is a better way to play the game.

I definitely think this is a great game on Wii but its better on other consoles. Xbox 360 and PS3 have LEGO Star Wars the complete saga in glorious 1080 P high definition full screen. Then tendo Wii as and adapter made by third-party company called Wii to HD and although it almost feels the screen I am still saying on most because it doesnt fill the screen and it does look better than even the component cables but its still not as good as through HDMI 1080 P high definition.

Dont get me wrong, Ive been enjoying this game a lot and this is the only version that I own but if youre at a similar price point and youre debating whether to get this game for Xbox 360 or PS3 or Nintendo Wii I would say go with the Xbox 360 or the PS3 Since they do have HDMI 1080 P high definition.

The other benefit to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 is the dual shock controller and the Xbox controller which video and play so much better than a Wii remote and nunchuck. If you like the controls on the end and a weed then its really up to you to decide which version of the game you get.

If you dont mind that youre not going to get 1080 P high definition graphics on Nintendo Wii then by all means get the Nintendo Wii version of the game. In conclusion, I was just want to say that the game plays really well on the Nintendo Wii and with the HDMI adapter that I have for the Nintendo Wii it looks really good as well as all the other Nintendo Wii games.

I still wish the game at classic controller support but for what it is with the Wii remote and the nunchuck trying to simulate a traditional controller layout its a pretty good Nintendo Wii game.

Quick shipping, but unfortunately an entire episode of the game is inaccessible. It doesn’t load, freezes the console, and has to be restarted. A few chapters lag a bit and have some weird sound problems, but that is expected of an old, used game.

However it’s disappointing to have a big chunk of the game unplayable. If not for that, this would have been a great deal.

I came to this site looking to buy this game for my friend, and was blown away by the sheer amount of games to choose from and how affordable it all was. I ended up buying not just this game, but several others.

Overall a fun game to have on Switch. Gives a good overview of all six films. If you’re expecting a ‘complete’ experience through all the film storylines, you may be disappointed. Many scenes that were full levels in previous games are reduced to cutscenes or are short playable sections.

Some of the highlight features like boss battles and the open world mechanic somewhat makes up for it. Lots to explore and unlock in free play mode (or in the free play segments between story mode levels).

Voice acting for the main characters are top notch and will be familiar to fans of the animated shows. Plenty of in-jokes and silly antics one would expect from a Lego game – even after previous Lego Star Wars games covering the same material.

There is some noticeable lag in the menu system while playing in co-op mode, but otherwise the game runs pretty smoothly.

Overall, I love the game. I got into the lego games last year and now own several. Being that this one is star wars, makes it even more appealing to me. My only problem is it glitches off and on, freezes on occasion which messes up whatever im doing at the time (one time it froze for a minute in the middle of jumping across something and when it unfroze, I fell and died lol), and it has completely crashed a couple times so far which made me have to close it out and restart it and the whole level all over.

I found out the makers had an update right after release to fix those problems, unfortunately it was for all other platforms except the switch version. Contacted them and got a basic response; they dont have any troubleshooting right now, but theyll pass the info on to tech.

So for now, it gets 4 stars. Once they finally fix the issues for the switch version, id be willing to change it to 5 stars.

the game can be clunky at times , sometimes I was wondering how kids are supposed to play it. there are no directions or any pointers for the next objective I found myself wondering in the same area.

but overall the game is fun. the story is amusing and if you’re a star wars fan and a Lego fan you will defiantly enjoy it.

I recently got my girls into Star Wars. This game goes through the first six movies. They are having a blast revisiting the movies and playing the game. Decent graphics and challenging gameplay for kids.

Total bargain for the amount of gaming.

As an 8-yr-old, I saw the original Star Wars (Ep 4) in theaters and was hooked. As a 50-yr-old, I watched this, (Ep 8, is it now?) and was somewhat disappointed. Spoiler alert* The only way to reach the Sith home planet is with a trinket? Reminiscent of the only way to find Luke is with a missing piece of galaxy map – instead of Leia using the Force or narrowing the search to that one small area that’s missing or at least two other ways.

How many Star Destroyers could they possibly build and, seriously? they don’t know which way is up so a beacon on the ground guides them? Just aim opposite of the planet, right? Leia, a Jedi, trains Rey, and somehow Ren and Rey can teleport to wherever the other one is and even transfer items, but they still have to fly around to other planets to get to other people.

Hmm. Every Sith that came before and every Jedi that came before all bunched up into two people for the epic ultimate battle for dominance. Ugh. Same tricks with the lightsabers and deception, but now Ren can suddenly bring Rey back to life although now Rey can’t save Ren cuz he’s all forcey disappearing.

Alot of things were just too easy – like the hundred thousand “people” ships that suddenly appeared behind Lando at the exact best second. Yeah, I get it. Sensationalism. Han did it when he blasted Vader, “You’re all clear, kid!” and many other examples.

But, this movie just had too many things that were “too easy” – like navigating 300-ft waves in a canoe and organizing a “landing party” with space horses instead of speeders. Why did I give it 4 stars? It was visually exceptional and seemed to tie up all the loose ends.

Everyone’s dead except Lando and Chewy, Rey is back at Luke’s home on Tatooine, C3P0 and R2 are wherever droids go, and now we just wait til someone figures out a way for Rey to have a brother who finds a piece of Ren’s old mask.

I’ve watched this movie three times and it’s not bad – just would have liked it to have been done in two films instead of rushing so much and packing it all so tightly and neatly into one.

Movie: 3 stars – Abrams crafts a fun, fast paced star wars adventure, but fails to match the level of excitement or creativity of its predecessor. A fan of TLJ, I was excited to see the franchise heading in a (mostly) refreshing direction.

However, the story beats that fueled TLJ, are quite stretched and reshaped to match the narrative direction of RoS, After the fan division created by TLJ, it’s clear this go around that producers opted for an arguably more predictable, safer storyline that seems preoccupied with hitting all the fan service check marks rather than telling an original story with a clear message.

An example – an odd throwaway line at the beginning of the 3rd act referencing a specific recent light speed maneuver is a clear indicator of what the film sets out to achieve (you know it when you hear it).

Even at 2 hours and 22 minutes, Abrams keeps the jam packed narrative moving at a brisk pace to keep the audience engaged, though sometimes moving so quickly from one plot point to the next that it doesn’t always give time for hero plans or character revelations to stick the landing.

There is A LOT of movie here, and it makes one wonder how much was left in the cutting room floor that would have given the story and performances more room to breath. A closer to 2:45 (or even 3 hrs – End game?) run time could have allowed the major revelations and character arcs to arrive in a bit more organic way.

John Williams returns with his usual fantastic work. Rey’s theme fully expands as she discovers and navigates her path, finally reaching its full potential alongside its character whilst weaving perfectly with the classic franchise themes.

A/V: 5 stars – the 7. 1 DTS-HDMA (Blu-ray) and Dolby Atmos (4KUHD) are both engrossing demo-worthy tracks, with moments sure to justify your home theater and perhaps anger your neighbors (Rey and Kylo’s desert clash, the opening “light skipping” and final battle are all highlights).

Make sure to set volume it a couple notches above reference for full effect.

This movie is pretty terrible. It rushing to fix all the things undone by the previous film while also trying to tell its own story and what your left with is too many stories and an unsatisfactory conclusion, but Palpatine is great.

The 4K itself is top notch, and made this an easy option to complete my Star Wars 4K collection. Sound is great, especially in the finale. Picture quality and color is also great. I suggest turning the movie on and ignoring all the convulsed plots and just enjoy the sensory overload.
