Just the righr size and feel. Several different magnifications available. The highest power one even allowed me to see The Weave of fibers in the memo pad that I was writing on. The lights are bright and of great help when you need a little bit extra site to see very small tasks and homemaking or crafts all right even forgetting out that pesky sliver in your finger.

It takes 3 AAA batteries but I can’t say how long they last yet since I just got it. I’m very happy with this purchase. Quick delivery and a really great price.

I truly loved everything about this product. I especially love the bright LED light because it can also function as a flashlight if needed. In fact, I’ve already used it as such several times since I received it.

The actual magnification is excellent and with the added light makes it perfect for my needs.

I did a search on MagniPros and came across this one. After reading the reviews, I placed an order. After this item arrived and I popped in some batteries to test it, HOLY CRUD, I did not realize – #1 how awesome it would be and #2 how much I needed one for myself.

The packaging is very nice, no batteries are included, so grab yourself some good triple A’s, like I did. The box included:1 -5 inch little card-like magnifier for carrying around (non light up)2 -Cleaning cloth – nice touch3 -LARGE PRINT instructions (thank goodness)4 -LED handheld magnifying glass (with protecting peel offs on both sides so the glass stays clean until your gift or use it).

The magnifying glass handle fits comfortable in your hand, not feeling heavy but is well made (plastic but a quality one). The LED lights are dimmable. You can choose to not use them or turn them on and adjust the light brightness to your liking.

You have a good 5 inches reading area holding the magnifier sideways – which really is plenty and about 2. 5 holding it normally in your hand, which is still just fine. It’s really sized just right. After testing this before wrapping, I have decided that I actually need one of these and told my hubby to gift me one.

I don’t even know how anyone reads any instructions to anything any more without one of these suckers on hand. This is a gift that any person really doesn’t know they need until they see it and try it.

I was totally blown away by how cool it really is. Even my adult kids who saw it in person thought it was pretty awesome!.

My first purchase was this 3x battery-charged MagniPros magnifier (ED12). When it arrived, the acrylic glass lens had some scratches, so I contacted the company’s customer support directly. They offered to immediately replace the device and check the new device to ensure it was perfect.

There was also no need to return the scratched device. While on their website, I noticed the 4x rechargeable MagniPros magnifier (ED14). I asked, if it was possible to upgrade the replacement to that device and I would pay the difference.

No problem at all, and there wouldn’t be any additional charges. When I brought both devices to the office to show our staff, they too wanted a rechargeable one. I ordered another 4x rechargeable magnifier and unfortunately that box was missing the USB charging cable.

When I asked to please send us the missing USB cable, they sent us a whole new replacement device with cable!So now, I had two magnifiers (one at home and one at work) and the office had two (one for the owner and one for the staff).

MagniPros has the most awesome customer service!Register the device and you’ll get extended warranty for free. Our office prefers the rechargeable device, because it’s lighter and easier on the wrist.

It also charges rather fast. There is no noticeable difference between the 3x and 4x magnification, a fact that customer service confirmed. For the last couple of weeks, the on/off switch on my rechargeable device started acting up, to the point where I could no longer turn off the lights.

I “cracked” open the device by holding the lights pointing away from me, and pushing down on the front edges and sides. It opened and exposed the switch, which is a turning wheel. I noticed that the tiny screw holding the wheel down had become loose.

I tightened it and the wheel switch now works great once again. This magnifier has been a life saver and I’m most grateful to MagniPros for their excellent products and services!.

The MagniPros 3X Large Magnifying Glass with 10 Anti-glare and Fully Dimmable LEDs is nothing short of revolutionary. Or maybe evolutionary. Or both. That rectangular lens really makes a difference when poring over maps, as I’ve been doing for several weeks now planning a far-flung adventure down the Mississippi River.

I finally gave up on round magnifiers and ordered this one in the hope that it would make my life easier. The difference was astounding. And it makes sense, too. Maps are rectangular; texts in books and magazines and newspapers are rectangular, so why aren’t magnifying glasses rectangular? Kudos to MagniPros for finally making one that is.

Oh, and that dimmable light really provides a level of control and comfort lacking in most other models. If you’re like me, an aging baby boomer, you won’t find a better magnifying glass. Once you try rectangular, you’ll never go back to round.

MAGNIFICATION TEST. I would reckon that Magnipros would have the most accurate description of magnification of their products. I have 4 of their products. 3x rectangular no light 3x rectangular with light 4x rectangular with light 10x double glass with lightI have no reason to doubt the accuracy of the above, based on my tests (between them).

How does the product being reviewed here compare, testing it against the above ?It is about the same as the Magnipros 10x. In fact the magnification is just slightly greater than the Magnipros 10xThe diameter of the lens is a wee bit less than the Magnipros 10x.

Thus focusing is a wee bit harder, and you see less of the target. To illustrate what that last sentence means – pretend that you would use both magnifiers to read a book (which off course no one would ever do).

The Magnipros would show say 4 legible words, and this product shows 3 words. For those that are short of cash, I would recommend this product. For those that don’t worry about expenditure, I recommend the Magnipros 10xRobPS I have to pay shipping to Australia.

If that was not the case, I would purchase another Magnipros 10x to try an experiment. Magnipros says that we can remove one of the double glasses in their 10x, to give a 5x magnifier. I would love to test that, if anyone cares to gift me one.

(I don’t wish to muck about with mine, in case it is never the same afterward).

I’m a fan of illuminated magnifiers because they eliminate shadows, uneven lighting, and flare from lights behind or above, so that was the first thing that caught my attention. But wait, this unit is different.

It gives you THREE light modes (warm, cool, mixed), and all are DIMMABLE from bright to low. If you don’t see the value of that, just think about reading or looking at something on glossy paper; and actual use will find many more situations.

And an unexpected bonus, this thing can be your light if your power goes off (try it in the dark!). Next, and just as notable, the lens is over 4″ in diameter, important for someone who needs 10X. Most 10X magnifiers are in the range of 1″ or 2″, and you have to get real close to use them.

This works like a magnifying glass instead of a jeweler’s loupe. That larger diameter makes a bug difference reading printed materials. It says it’s 10X and 5X. Most units have a second head. This one comes as 10X by ganging two 5x lenses.

You can remove one of them to make it 5X. Do yourself a favor and read the simple directions or you could be playing a fumblefinger game for a while. A tip when dis- and re-assembling — make sue the lenses are clean.

Do it on a sheet of paper or other spotless surface, and wear white cotton gloves if you have them. Beware of dust. It stands on its own so you can use both hands on something while watching large. And therein is my only quibble.

Your eyes have to be at the work level to use this feature. Some other unties have built-in stands and angled heads, which are more practical. But I don’t think most people would use this for that kind of work.

I give it a hearty five stars.

Very comfortable and light, bright and crisp magnification, but be aware this is higher power than I needed to buy if I only needed one. I wish I had visited their excellent website first, because the 3X or 4X larger rectangular magnifier seems more appropriate for daily use for readers.

Still I’m keeping it! Why? Price and quality. Wonderful for seeing splinters or exploring the world of bugs with the kids. I thought it would be glass, but at this price with two lenses I can see why acrylic was their choice.

One thing their website doesn’t provide are clear instructions on how to remove one of the lenses for more casual use. (Search for MP9896 not working). Eventually after much fumbling and smudging of the lenses, I figured out a method for disassembling and reassembling, using microfiber cloths and very delicately aligning each lens in the very thin holder.

Not a convenient snap in and snap out assembly but it is nice to have two lenses and variable magnification at all!Mine evidently had been returned, because there was a bit of dust under the plastic covers, and no pouch or microfiber cloth, but that is probably MagniPros, not the manufacturer, and I’ve returned plenty of things.

All in all I think the larger rectangular one may meet my needs better, but this one is a KEEPER for very close in work. It DID help a lot with the specs on the puzzle pieces that give the whole position of the puzzle piece away (in this case a Ram’s horn, and skunk’s tail).

Probably would have gone with the rectangle if I could only afford one, however. Not work as well for surveying a lot of puzzle pieces or for reading the fine print across their 5×8 User Manual. Buy it if you want an inexpensive, powerful, comfy magnifier.

The rubber grip is awesome, the LED light bright, and the lenses clear as glass (almost, since they may collect more dust and smudges, though these are easily cleaned from what seems to be a fairly scratch resistant set of lenses).

Just be patient if you are trying to remove one of the lenses. Everything sits in place when you align them just so with the thin metal diameter lens separator. The company offered me a second one free if I wrote an honest review, and this is certainly that.

Magnifier is quite helpful for failing eyes – especially for reading small print in telephone books. It’s a fine addition to other devices like lights and handheld lighted magnifiers. Thanks to Staples for their fine service.

This is such a quality magnifying glass! My sons had a few small plastic ones that just kept getting lost so I bought two of these for them. The wood is sanded so smooth. It’s the perfect size for their hands.

I like that it can easily be hung up when their adventures are done for easy storage. They have been using their magnifiers to examine rocks and fall leaves.

I got these to encourage my 4 year old daughter to explore animals and plants outdoors. She has enjoyed using it to see insects, leaves and flowers in detail. It is very sturdy and has held up very well so far.

I would have loved something like this as a child. This is a great addition for any young naturalist!.

I switched out my 5 pin setup for one of these. BIG MISTAKE. All went great target shooting. Placement was perfect every time. Out in the stand is another story. Too much moment adjusting sights, pain in the but-hole to adjust at negative temps, by the time you range a deer, adjust the sight and lock it in, pull back and get the deer in your vision through the peep, the yards have already changed and you end up shooting high or low.

No way to account for change of yardage fast with these. I wouldn’t even consider these for hunting.

I have never used a sight on my bows before my 55th birthday this September, needless to say my eyesight has been better. I was intrigued with this sight and ordered it. It took roughly 30 minutes to mount and another to properly sight in to 20 yards.

Most of the time was spent trying to serve in my very first peep. Fine tuning was easy with the micro-windage adjustments as well as well defined elevation markings. Less than an inch at 20 yds, 1. 75 avg at 40 yrds, and crazy accurate less than 3 inches at 60 yrds.

I had been contemplating a single pin sight for some time and when the Truglo Archers choice came on sale I just realized my dream had come true. The questions I had concerning varied ranges with differing bow speed/ arrow variables are taken care of if one reads the supplied instructions.

Only one issue which will probably not be an issue in my hunting situations where I live. Due to the light gathering of the fiber optics it is extremely bright in open sunlight. Almost too bright. Now this may not even present a problem in our coastal timber we hunt in as the tree canopy blocks much sunlight and my previos sight many times lacked sufficient light gathering ability.

So we will see soon. The adjustments are easy and precise.

The Magnipros large rectangular reading magnifier is everything the advertisement says it is except the price which I think is a bit high. i bought it for the large lens area for reading and something that would cover my Android smartphone screen area and it does very well.

It has a shatter proof acrylic lens and its scratch resistant. It is also very lightweight and can be held for long periods of time as advertised and can be held vertically or horizontally. it is very well made.

It’s great for an older person (i’m 74). Overall i’am very happy with the purchase and would recommend you buy it.

The only thing that could make this magnifying glass better would be a means of suspending it in thin air. But the large handle is more than enough to make this glass perfect for reading everything from labels on cans and jars, to the small print on strips at grocery stores, to a favorite book I happen to be reading at the time, to inspecting the tiny bug I just found crawling on the windshield of my car last early evening.

Very handy. It comes with a bubble pouch that falls apart much too easily, so I suggest you find a soft cloth bag to carry it in. It fits perfectly in a purple Crown Royal Canadian Whisky bag. Just a thought.

Boy did I need this. Print must be getting smaller. Helps with instructions and phone. And a myriad of other things. Keep it close. You will need it often when you get used to using it.

I have a magnifier but wanted a second one. The above magnifier isnt as clear as my first one. It is okay but I prefer my other one. Ive never liked the spot lens because it distorts things Im reading.

I should have known better since Ive had them before.

Bought this for mother n law. She is having a hard time seeing to read. She had a smaller one and lost it. So got this one its bigger. Hopefully she can’t loose or misplace it. She says she can see a lot better and thats all that matters.

I love this magnifying light it makes hand sewing easier than wearing reading glasses with standard lighting. I would highly recommend it to everyone who loves embroidery or hand sewing. I will be able to get more emboiodery accomplished without having to stop due to eye strain.

5 diameter) is 6 3/4 long by 2 3/4. The larger one is 3. 25 in diameter and the handle is 7 1/4 long. Both lights have 2-position-slide-switches: low-off-high. Theyre perfectly OK, and inexpensive at that, but I cant say theyre anything special.

Most magnifying glasses Ive seen have terrible distortion rendering them rather difficult to use. I suspected lenses made by Vivitar might be good. They are indeed. When the subject is in focus, distortion is practically non-existent.

The LED lights add greatly to their function. I recommend them highly!.

I think they’d be great for college students, or anyone living in a small space, or who’s starting out, and doesn’t have a complete tool set.

if you need a super-powerful magnifier, then this may not be the best for you as the max power in the very small magnifier is 5×5. However, it works well for most needs, including being able to read the fine print on collectible coins – although not always easy for the very smallest markings.

The ability to set this magnifier up on a desk or table top and use it hands-free is a great feature that I really find useful.

This was much smaller than I thought it would be. Not that much bigger than a normal yo- yo. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. But it wasn’t suitable for me and my cross stitch. I couldn’t position it the way I wanted.

It was awkward. I tried in my lap and on the table. Didn’t work. It kept falling over and was very lightweight. The magnifying glass was really good. So clear! Even though it was small. I didn’t try out the lights because I didn’t want to ruin it as I had decided to return it.

Which I did today. That was good. I bought something else in its stead. That is much better, also from Hobbycraft. The idea of a yoyo lamp is really good. It just needs to be bigger and more flexible and the base needs to be heavier.

I know the idea is to keep it light and small so it’s easier to travel with but I think it still needs adjustments. Sorry!!!!.

I love this wee thing. It’s great the way it folds together and unfolds into a stand that’s easily positioned. I bought it to check knife edges and saw blades for defects. It works great with clear magnification with the added bonus of good light.

The is a great little magnifier and the light is really bright. I also used it at knit and knatter, it’s is easy to just drop into your bag and simple to unfold to use. Lots of people have commented on what a good idea this is.

I will take it on holiday with me becausethe way it’s folds up protects the glass.

This really helps with aging eyes see fine details when soldering. There’s three sets of lenses you can use. The main ones are mild with a flip down pair inside the visor to really increase the magnification.

If that’s not enough, there’s yet a third magnifying glass on the outside that can flip down over the right eye. The build in head lamp is also a real added bonus, getting light right where I need it.

The battery compartment door can be tricky to remove but not too hard with a nylon spudger. The strap is highly adjustable. I have a very large head (one size fits all doesn’t usually fit me) but this visor can be adjusted to fit very well with some adjustment to spare! I’m happy with this one.

The lenses are clear and the 5. 8x zoom comes in handy for very fine wiring, meanwhile, it is only on the right side of the head you can move it. Be careful not to snap the plastic though. This brings me to why this is not a 5-star review, the entire headband construction is plastic and the crews and lenses feel cheap.

The product is reasonably well made and includes features such as a comfortable headband, adjustable LED (left right up down) and a folding lenses that can be operated by one hand. I found the focal distance to be quite short (less than 30cm) which means you can’t really use these when seated normally at a desk.

I was thrilled with how easy it was to order this product, and how quickly it arrived. It consists of 3 small magnifying glasses which swivel in and out of a small case in such a way that they can be viewed singly or one under another.

Each glass has a magnification of 5X becoming 10x and 15x when viewed one on top of the other. It’s a light, neat and protected way to carry a magnifier in one’s pocket. 10X seems the most useful. 15X is difficult to focus, impossible with a moving object.

I’ve gotten these for myself and my grandchildren before and was just going to order another. I use it when drawing details, getting out slivers, checking my nail when it seems to have a snag. The best thing about this one is it’s made well.

I’ve had so many that the glass falls away from the metal circling it. In most cases, if you drop this it doesn’t break easy. Just right for easy reading. Be sure to get some extra ones for the children or little artist and grandparents.
