my third pair of statesman shoes already. tried different shoes, also other shoes for crews models, but this model is really by far the best in quality and comfort. maybe a bit mor expensive then other models, but for me they last for at least one year.

I put a lot of miles on these, they look great. Everytime within a month or two they start to lose a seam or something but every pair of these 45 have eventually let water into the shoe.

I bought these shoes a few times already. The most convenient shoes ever. Specially they have wide size. I always had problems with shoes, but not with Dockers dress shoes Oxford.

I bought the shoes for Jerry. He loves them. No complaints. They are dress shoes. The shoes are perfect for church, wedding, funeral, etc. No complaints.

I have 2 pairs of Dockers shoes. I find them so comfortable and durable that I rarely wear any of my other shoes. I needed a dressy black shoe. The Garfield was shown on the Dockers Shoe site as a new style.

My First pair of Scholls. I wear size 15 in most shoes and initially got size 15. They were approx. a half inch or so too big and felt akward. Got the size 14 D sent and the matched right up. Sadly my right foot is just a a little bigger than the left so the 14 in my right foot seemed to fit a little more snug and Im extremely flat footed.

Now after wearing for 2 weeks the right shoe is broken in and the shies are the business. I like that they are not bright white in the soles but still give a nodern look. Im 6’2″ approx 280 lbs and they dont make much attractive clothes for guys my size.

These shoes allow me to dress up and casual down a bit. The material is very soft and has a good feel, will have to see how long it holds up. I cant remember if there symthetic leather or not. I assume anyone reading can go look it up.

Id say I’ve recieved some positive input on how they look and feel on my big feet. I am enjoying them and bought the Black and Brown at $49 for a great price. Good money spent in 2021.

Wide width hubby really likes these. Perfect for that “in between” when skechers are too casual and work dress shoes are too formal/stiff. Have the brown, getting the black. I was not crazy about the cream laces when he had them on with blue pants, so bought an $8 pair of perfect match brown laces on amazon.

I bought these shoes a year and a half ago for my job as a houseman, and they have dutifully served me through the thick and thin. I bought this 1 week ago and so far so good. There was minimal breaking in, and they have been very comfortable. A little concerned about the side elastic air vents ripping, but so far, so good.

I recently bought this black pair of shoes for my father and I am totally sure He will love them. They are nice looking, they are comfortable, and they are made with high quality materials.

My Dad always wore Rockports, and I wanted a pair to see how comfortable they were. I have some brown penny loafers, so ordered the black but haven’t had a good experience with them. They seemed really wide at the opening, especially the left shoe.

It causes my foot to slide, creating an abnormal rubbing on the inside of the back heal. I have not found the shoe to form to my foot at all, just the opposite. I have narrow feet, and bought the M style…nothing seems to help.

I’m sure these are wonderful shoes, but they just don’t suit me any more. They look great in the pictures but in real life they seem cheap. I have two older pair of these and love them. I bought these in two different colors and returned them both.

I worried that the basket weave-type part of the shoe might be too prominent, but it’s subtle! I have owned these shoes for 4 years now and they are still going strong. I needed a shoe that was comfortable if you had to be on your feet at length, yet look very professional when in the law office and courtroom.

These superseded expectation and are my favorite shoe to wear. I wish all my shoes were this comfortable. I have them in Cognac color and they are super sharp looking; truthfully the picture does them no justice.

I clean and condition these regularly and give them an occasional polish and they look every bit as good today as when I bought them back in January of 2017 and are IMO more comfortable now. They did not require breaking in or anything but eventually every shoe becomes more comfortable when they mold to your feet and walking characteristics.

I didn’t even go in to buy shoes but they looked so nice I tried them on. They were too big and the next size smaller wasn’t in stock. The sales lady offered to order them for me then gave me all the information to do it myself.

I did but they were still too big. Did some research and found that this brand runs a size larger. I took the shoes back to the store and exchanged them for a half size smaller. No hassle at all. Great people.

I purchased these for my father who just finished very long rounds of radiation. He was attending my son’s wedding and nothing fit. We found these Clark’s which look fantastic with his tux and kept him comfortable the entire night.

They were wide, had cushion but gave him much needed support. Very much recommend these.

I’ve recently bought these shoes. I believe they are a good value for money deal. In general they have been good. A bit uncomfortable for me to walk in at first, but after a few days of breaking them in, they seem to have adjusted well.

The reason I’m not giving them a 5 star is because the laces on one of them broke on the second week of wearing them, which I found to be unacceptable. That said, overall, I believe they are good, sturdy and comfortable shoes that provide a professional appearance.

During that time I might have to run or jog after someone, who might have left something behind. If you have ever done that in a pair of dress shoes, depending on what you brought it could be highly uncomfortable during that incident and most important the rest of the day.

I have a love hate relationship with shoes. I hate shopping for them, but when I find the right pair it’s all worth it and love it when it’s a great fit. I went in thinking I’d buy Florsheim, but thought I’d give these a try-on to see.

Glad I did. I ended up buying multiple pair. Only two weeks in (yeah, I know), but these are the most comfortable “dress shoes” I’ve had in a long long time. No regrets. Totally worth it bruh.

I purchased these for my fiancé to wear for our wedding with his deep blue/navy suit. They look perfect with it and add just the right amount of flair with the details. He said they feel comfortable enough to be on his feet all day in too! I would say the shoe seems to be worth the price, we will see how well they hold up over time.

Very poor quality control. Leather was dyed poorly and inconsistently cut. Definitely not worth the full retail price. I bought a pair at a large department store as a close-out for less than 1/2 retail price; however, even at this highly discounted price, these shoes were no bargain given the poor quality.

Didn’t notice many of the imperfections until I got them home. Will probably return them. I will not purchase another pair of Allen Edmonds again. There are much higher quality options in this price range.

Disappointing.

I only wear Allen Edmonds for business, since 1986. Great company and products. My collection isn’t huge but what I have was recrafted several times and look like new. And so, it has been awhile since I bought AE new.

Also my feet have grown larger with age and sedentary lifestyle that’s left me needing to lose some weight. My existing pair of Park Ave shoes are a tight squeeze at 12D. The Park Ave shoe model is my favorite and it’s iconic.

The 13E shoes that came were large for me yet doable for everything except possibly serious road warrior wear through airports, mass transit, etc. That is not a concern, these days with the shut down since May 2020.

Moreover, I don’t travel for business anymore, as that’s a young man’s job. The price was right, at $179, whereas the best deal to compare was $199 through an AE Factory Seconds promotion recently. One of the shoes had a pucker in the captoe but that doesn’t significantly detract from its appearance.

Anybody know how to revert the pucker?.

This is my second pair of strandmoks I purchased. First purchased the cognac color which I love but I’ve always wanted a pair of these darker brown series. I’ve always appreciated the build quality of Allen Edmonds and these shoes do not disappoint.

I have about a dozen pairs total and have never been disappointed. They’re not broken in yet as it does take a couple of weeks or so to really soften them up but so far I still love them. Can’t wait for them to really break in.

I’ve been wearing this style of shoe for many years. They fit right out of the box – and they come in 3E, perfect for my wide feet – but it takes a few times wearing before they slip on without a shoe horn.

Once broken in, they are as easy to slip into and as comfortable as slippers. I prefer the slip-on style, as I’m not a fan of dress shoes with skinny laces. The soles do wear out over time, getting substantial cracks, but it takes years for this to happen.

I recently ordered two pairs so I have a backup for when that happens again down the road, taking advantage of current prices. I hope Florsheim never drops this style!.

We love these shoes! We always stick to these same dress shoes as they are just perfect for us. Shoes otherwise are very hard to fit as my husband has very wide size 14 along with a bump on his heal and toe,and a high instep.

They are light weight and a very nice leather. My husband really likes this burgundy colour as it is a little different but goes with everything! I wish that the light grey ones came in 5E size14 as well!.

Very comfortable shoe, very well made, and constructed. This is one of Florsheim’s Comfortech styles. I’ve been wearing these type of Florsheim shoes for about the past 20 years. The size of the shoe is very close to the size of my feet.

Not too short, and not too long. The width is very good also. Even though it’s a loafer is still feels snug on my feet, but not too tight. I wear these shoes at work so I have them on all day. They still feel good on my feet after a full day of wearing them.

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit right. I have a wide foot and shoes that are not specified wide don’t fit. I was pleasantly surprised that these shoes slid on easily and didn’t pinch my foot.

I was also impressed with the soles of the shoes that got excellent traction on all surfaces. Lastly, they were quite stylish in look and will be my go to dress shoe when needed. Very pleased with these shoes.

They are supposed to be made of some kind of leather but in this case I am not sure it is leather at all. Looks more like plastic and very sturdy plastic. Sole is even worse. It is not flexible at all.

Walking in this shoes is like being Donald Duck. If you are going to wear them for only couple a minutes it is possible but it is for weeding you are not going to be married. No I don’t recommend them.

Style and color are great, but the fit is incredible. I was concerned because I had broke my little toe and had trouble with shoe width. For some reason, both R and L shoes fit perfectly. Not so with other brands.

Two important changes in my life contributed to the love I have for the Conard Cap Toe shoe. I landed a new job that required business attire so I was forced to upgrade my entire high-end wardrobe. My feet hate shoes in general, so I was NOT looking forward to wearing dress shoes often.

But the second I tried these shoes on I knew these were the ones I needed. And they get even MORE comfortable over time. At the same time, I ditched my car for public transportation and car-sharing. And that means I increased my steps per day significantly walking to bus stops and to the car-sharing lot.

These shoes make walking 10k steps per day no big deal at all. My feet love them and I continue to buy another pair when they wear out. I almost checked the “Wears out quickly” box on this review, but I don’t think they do.

It feels like they hold up really well when I consider how much walking I do on city streets. Obviously, comfort is most important to me, but the style of this Conard Cap Toe shoe makes me smile every time I look down.

These shoes are very nice! They are leather, which is nice because they will last longer. The shoes fit true to size and my son says they are very comfortable. These are the perfect shoes to match all of my son’s outfits to wear to church! Very high quality shoes and I highly recommend!!.

It’s so comfortable. ‘comfortable’. One word is synonymous with the camper, but the junction is also a very comfortable shoe. I would like to purchase other color junctions as well. It would be a good idea to change the thickness or material of the shoelaces.

As an office worker, it’s also attractive that it can be converted at any time, whether it’s for daily use or casual wear on the weekend.

Neat and timeless design of the shoe itself (while the removable rubber toe makes it also unique)! I had to ‘play’ with sizing, so I would suggest to order a few sizes. Perfect colour combination and incredibly comfortable shoes for everyday.

In the past, I purchased a lot of Cole Haan and Bass & Co. shoes. It was not until recently that I became educated on hand made, leather sole shoes. The hype is that you must start with the Oxford. This is simply not true in today’s age.

I work in a field where conservative attire is a must, and the oxford is not a must. With that said, I tried my luck with an Oxford from Beckett Simonon. For whatever reasons, the wait was unusually long because of the pandemic and it was four months maybe even five before I received my shoes.

In the meantime, I purchased Oxfords with Allen Edmonds. In fact, I ended up purchasing a lot of shoes through both companies and now have learned a lot. One thing I was not aware of during my purchases was that I had a high instep.

A second thing I learned was that Oxfords are terrible shoes for a high instep. For example, I was unable to get a perfect size for the Allen Edmond Park Aves. I ended up settling for a shoe that is slightly too wide for my feet and I still have a larger V gap than what I feel comfortable with.

The Dean Oxfords, no problem. I have to tie the shoes tight, but the gap is normal on this shoe. I will update my review and see how it holds, but so far, my high instep has not been a problem with these shoes.

I am also pleasantly surprised with the leather on the BS shoes. They feel great and look great! Comparing them with AE, the leather is superb. It feels like it might be slightly thinner than the AEs but cost considerably less.

I learned with hand made shoes that there are more imperfections to be found generally than on factory shoes. Less so with Oxfords and dress shoes but I have found them on AEs and Thursday shoes. So far, I have not found any with the BS shoes except a slight crease (pre-worn) on the right vamp.

That always concerns me because I had the same thing with a shoe from AE (2nds) and Thursday that ended up being loose grain with thick vein like creases. So far, this crease does not have thick veins and actually looks like it was form into a perfect crease for where I want the shoe to bend.

With that said, with all dress shoes from any brand, I would inspect them before wearing them. I received other shoes already from BS that were too big and BS’s customer service has been great via email.

I will be purchasing more shoes from BS with confidence. Also, if you have a high instep and want Oxfords, the Dean Oxfords worked for me. In the future, I will most likely stick to open laced systems like the Dunham Derbies and Irvine Derbies but do not have any regrets with the Dean Oxfords (unlike the Park Ave with fit).

(NOTE: This review is for the Bernard Tassel Suede Loafers) As an author, I don’t have much occasion to wear fancy shoes. But as an enthusiastic Beckett Simonon patron, I create opportunities to be seen in them.

And I’m not shy about showing the shoes. Just got these size 10. 5 Bernard Tassel Suede Loafers after an interminable 5-month wait, about what it took them to deliver the Yates Oxfords the year before.

The wait can be a grind, not unlike the night before Christmas for a kid or the hours watching the clock on the last day of school for most every student. But the reward is exquisite. Just taking the out of the box feels satifying.

If that doesn’t do it for you, just put ’em on your feet. Any lingering impatience is displaced. I will continue to bucket list Beckett Simonon for their unique attitude about the environment, the craftsmanship, the care they show for precious resources.

And, oh, yeah, for. the shoes!.

The Dean Oxfords were very well made considering the price paid. I have had several pairs of Allen Edmonds and the craftsmanship is on par if not better. The stitches were well done (no overlaps, loose threads, etc).

The coloring was even. You can tell they took pride in constructing these shoes. That shows good quality control compared to AE which is American made and almost twice the price! Why the 4 stars only? Firstly, no half sizes or other widths.

And just my preference, I don’t particularly like calf skin as the shoe uppers. Calf as a lining is a must but not the uppers, which explains why most comment there is no break in period for them. Anyways, I had to return the pair because of sizing issue.

I hope they can address this in the future and provide more sizing options. As far as customer service, they are excellent. Great communication throughout the build and after delivery. Shoes arrived on time as promised.

No hassle exchange or returns if needed. I would highly recommend them to anyone that can find their size.

These shoes are not half bad. The shoe fits like a glove after some conditioning and a couple wears. I went in and asked for a 9. 5 or 10 because I’m normally a 10 in most shoes but Im glad I went with the 9.

5. Along with some good shoe polish, these could easily be mistaken for Allen Edmonds or even Edward Greens (depending on the lighting. ).

So far I am very impressed with this cap toe dress shoe. I ordered as a replacement for a pair of much more expensive luxury brand cap toe dress shoes and the styling and quality is very comparable. I am hopeful they will hold up but at the price point they are a great value and are very good looking.

These shoes were for my son. They are a tremendous value since they are leather and look more expensive than they are. Style was perfect for a wedding he was in and will work well for many other occasions.

Fit was good, too.

They look like the photo, they are lightweight, they have a wonderfully cushioned insole. I gave them 2 stars because I have to return them as they fit quite small, as in, I wonder if I need a 10 1/2.

I wear a (womens) 9 1/2 consistently. Worse, the seam on both heels was instantly uncomfortable, not due to the size, it would rub a blister in no time. For the high price, I would not recommend.

Not a bad shoe for the price, the fitting is wide which makes the shoe relatively comfortable, nice colour that matched a blue suit perfectly. If I had to nit-pick the sole is very thin and you feel everything through them.

Disappointed with these even for the price. Have bought this style of river island shoe for years for work in the hotel and usually decent quality and comfort. This latest pair have worn in half the usual time.

Literally falling apart.

These shoes are nice and my son likes them for his groomsman suit. However they stink! Ordered 2 pairs in different sizes and they smelled horrid. Like rotting meat.
