As much as I like my no-wire bras, many times it’s necessary to wear an underwire for more support and lift. Maidenform’s Dreamwire Back Smoothing Underwire Bra is an appropriate bra for everyday use.

It’s actually pretty comfortable and I’ve found that the underwire doesn’t dig into my skin like many underwire bras I’ve used in the past. The material of the bra is smooth and soft, made of nylon and spandex and the band is thicker so it smooths out your silhouette underneath a shirt.

The cups are padded and have good coverage and it has the traditional hook and eye closure on the back. The straps don’t dig into the skin uncomfortably and are convertible, but I do wish we could adjust them from the front.

I’m normally a 38A-38B, and although the band sizing is fine, the cups are a bit too large for me. They seem more like C cups rather than B cups. Overall, still a comfortable bra, but the foam cups do sink and indent inwards for me because of the large sizing of the cups.

Great bra if you’re concerned about your back fat. The material is lightweight, soft and comfortable. There is plenty of shaping and the cups are thick enough to provide sufficient coverage during the colder moments.

Although the back has more fabric designed to cover the back fat. The front is also designed to provide for full coverage. A little too much coverage to be honest. The cup size was a little larger than I expected.

The band fit comfortably, but the cups were fuller. I suggest to go down a cup size and go up a band size rather than getting your regular bra size.

I have purchased this bra several times. I have always hand washed and hung dry. The last couple bras didnt hold up and the underwire would slip and, either poke my under arm or the center of my chest.

The most recent bra came with the glued edges of the cup coming apart. Sad how much these cost for such poor quality. I do not have a printer so i requested a return label mailed to me. I have been waiting for nearly 3 months so, guess I will not get a label.

I first ordered this bra in a 42C and 42B. I usually wear a 40D on a back close bra, and know from experience that the front close bras run smaller in the band. When you go up a size in the band, best to go down a size in the cup.

The 42C fit perfectly – not too tight and not too loose. Great that the straps adjust in the front – rather than in the back like most front close bras! I had purchased the first iteration of this bra and unfortunately, the front clasp kept sliding and even opened once.

I donated those. So imagine my happy surprise when I found they fixed that problem and there is no slipping or moving of the front clasp. FYI, I am 74 years young, still prefer an underwire bra (the better to keep the girls up) and after 2 shoulder surgeries, find the front clasp more comfortable for me.

I bought 4 more of these bras and plan to go back for one or two more. If you prefer underwire and like front close – try this one. You won’t be sorry!.

I bought four of these since front closure bras are hard to find. I have shoulder problems, so they are all I wear. These are very nice except for the closures. The plastic closures slip/slide on the fabric pieces that attach them to the cups.

Have not had this issue with my other front closure bras. So, with that happening the plastic closures are crooked. I am going to stitch right along the plastic closures with my sewing machine and hope that helps to keep the plastic closures straight.

That may be good news or bad news to you, but personally after my first day wearing this bra, I literally CUT THE FABRIC and pulled the wires OUT! The particular design and style of this bra came so far up into my armpits that I was literally SORE where the wires ended.

Am so desperate to find a front closure bra that I’m keeping this one, now “wire free” but let me add that the fabric and heavy duty reinforced stitching in the track where the wire WAS, is firm and stiff enough to provide more than ample support for me.

My most honest description of this bra: industrial-strength. (I softened that some, by removing the wire! ) Good luck, ladies….

My first time ordering, the cups were a little big or maybe it was the seams bunching up under clothing, so it had to go back. Seems in the middle of cup are not very flattering. Also, I wish supportive bras came a little more lined.

This bra is absolutely beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. The band is narrower, so its great for people with average to narrow breast roots, and the gore isn’t too tall. I originally got this bra in a 30F, which I thought fit great—but then I began spilling out of the sides and top.

I realized I hadn’t scooped and swooped properly and it didn’t fit. I ordered it again in a 30FF, but once I tried it on, I realized the problem was actually a shape mismatch. The cups are a bit too shallow for someone with large projection—the band fit, but my boobs didn’t sit in the cups, they kept falling out the top.

I had a lot of room at the bottom of the cup yet was spilling out top. Bummer. So if you have a lot of projection like me (8 inch difference from band to *leaning* measurement) this may not work for you.

This is the second bra in this style I have bought – I actually wore the first one out (never happened before) after it became my go to bra and over several years I wore it a lot. I have the beige colour (nude) – it doesn’t show under clothes, the straps don’t slide off, and it feels weightless and so comfy you could wear it for 24 hours and not notice! It’s not a va va voom bra, it’s an every day bra which gives great shape and support, with no double boob drama.

I’m a 32E and it fits so well. I have the matching knickers too, which are excellent (no wedgies thank you!), they don’t ride up and are also invisible under clothes – no idea why JL doesn’t sell them in the beige colour.

I will buy this bra in other colours, it really is superb, the most comfy of all the fantastic lingerie I have in my drawer. Brava Fantasie!.

I have struggled to find the perfect go-to every day plain black bra, that isn’t padded or moulded, that is plain enough to go with plain black pants, that isn’t ‘granny’, that doesn’t push my boobs to the sides like a minimiser, and that accommodates both boobs perfectly without overspill even thought one is slightly bigger than the other! This bra has achieved the impossible – it is comfortable, it is plain enough for everyday but looks good on, goes with all my plain black pants and holds my boobs up and forward in a good sexy shape while still feeling fully supported.

The fact the lace trim on the top is fully stretchy is what saves me from one sided overspill on my bigger boob. I highly recommend – and believe me I think I have tried every bra there is in this category!! Next step is for me to buy again in more colours!!.

I’ve been wearing these Smart and Sexy bras since 2017 and literally won’t wear anything else. The band comfort, the look, the push-up and the feel can’t be beat in any other bra. I recently went up a cup size and it was hard for me to find to the size I was supposed to be in but customer service was amazing.

I was able to exchange bras for the correct size immediately. I feel amazing in my new bras! I’ve never loved bras and their fit so much in my life! Thank you!.

Let me prevace by saying these are beautiful bras. Good quality and love that you can adjust the straps in the front. BUT the sizing is way off. I ordered 42C and the band is more like a 38 and the cup is more like a DD.

I know cup size goes up with band size but my measurements were accurate. Such a disappointment. For the quality and price A+. Sizing is an F.

I love the color. I also love that the satin material is true to size. Unfortunately, for me, the padding under the breast is easily creased and the straps dig in just a bit. Other than that, this bra is perfect.

There are four hook and eyes, with four different rows. The back has great smoothing properties. The straps stay put. The lift is pretty nice as well. Lastly I love that they make my size. Most brands don’t bother with bigger sizes.

Underwire is uncomfortable. Removable cups are a hassle. Molded bras dig into my breastbone. Sports bras, other lounge bras, or any non-triangle bras come up too high under V-necks, tank tops, etc. Triangle bralettes are so lacey they have a bumpy texture under most shirts, plus they have no lining/nip coverage or support.

But this bra is lined, is soft, is beautiful, is durable and machine washable, and doesn’t show under any top. I have finally found MY BRA. I ordered six of them so I have enough between washings. The mauve color is really pretty.

My measurements are 29″ band and 35″ bust. I tried the 32C and the 32D and both fit great, but the only difference is the D cup has higher coverage in the armpit, and cuts in a little too high for my comfort.

This is a pretty comfortable bra- as a person who lives in sports bras- this offers a similar comfort but with support. My biggest issue is the sizing seems inconsistent. I ordered 3 bras total(online orders).

I brought one to try it out- (bra a)was a little small in the cups but usable-I liked the comfort, next time ordered 2, I got the same band size but went up a cup… next one that came in(bra b) seems like the band is a lot tighter- to the point where it’s uncomfortable- meanwhile I was comfortable in a bra where the cup was too small on the same size band-then the last one (bra c) is pretty much a perfect fit- when they’re all the same band size.

I do like that they offer a variety of sizes-however the inconsistency is something to look at. You might need to try a few sizes to find the one that works- I do think it runs on the smaller size. For the price- it’s worth a try.

Wow I cannot believe how comfortable this bra is. I’ve had so much trouble finding a bra that fits with good support. I’m a 36DDD so they’re hard to find, especially at a regular retailer. This bra not only gives good support (without underwire!!!) but also supports on the side and doesn’t feel like it’s pulling on my back or shoulders.

It stays in place, even when I jumped around, lol. AND THE PRICE! Hard to beat. Would 10000% recommend. I bought 3 more.

First I should say that I have worn this particular brand/style of bra for more years than I would like to mention…In fact, since the Envy replaced a similarly cut Harmony. I update regularly as I am a K cup and find that I want the continued support that a tired bra can sometimes lose.

I have noticed a shift in quality over the last two years and this is now the second bra that I have had that has disintegrated to the wire. Yes, that’s right: disintegrated. I was aware of an added stiffness below the cup that was not there in the new black version of the bra that I ordered at the same time (or previous versions).

This stiffness seemed to be the result in additional bulk under the cup that irritated and bruised me. Yes, I was wearing the right size. I washed the bra, breaking the golden rule of hand washing because I always have – I just avoid the dryer.

And perhaps this is what has caused the damaged, but I am somewhat confused about why a 2 inch + section of wire is now exposed after a single low degree wash. I used to be able to justify the price of my bras, but I am wondering if I can continue at this rate.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect wireless bra – after wearing underwire for over 35 years – that has a back clasp closure vs. pull over styling (required thanks to a shoulder injury), doesn’t look like a sports bra, and has enough material (but not heavy padding) in the cup for nipple coverage.

The Evolution bra is almost it and I love so many things about it — reversible colors, racerback option, and so, so comfortable! My only deduction of one star is wishing this had a little more material in the cup for nipple coverage, as this definitely does not.

It seems like my only options for all of the above, are truly padded bras — and being a DD / DDD cup size, I am no where in need of more padding. just a little bit thicker material would be great for this issue.

I’ve tried almost every Knix bra (I just ordered my last option – the Padded V-Neck bra – and am hoping it’s the one and there’s not too much padding!), and the Evolution is so close, just not a 100% for me.

This is my 3rd evolution bra. I bought it to replace one that was beginning to wear out after many wears and washes. The evolution bras are the most comfortable bras I have ever worn! They are lightweight which is perfect for hot summer days and I love that they are reversible, because it’s like having 2 bras in one.

These factors make them perfect for travelling because they barely take up any space and can go with multiple outfits. The evolution bra is so comfortable it barely feels like you are wearing a bra!.

I ordered a size 7 based on the measurements which I took as instructed. The bra wasn’t just snug, I had it on the loosest hook setting and it was tight and I was overflowing the cups. I applied for an exchange and was sent a size 8 which is a bit loose but feels much better.

The cup size fits but now the underarms gap out a bit. It doesn’t show and I’ve been wearing the bra. I find it very comfortable even during the hottest weather and I can wear it all day with no problem.

As I write this review, I’m in New Orleans – the boob sweat capital of the US. I hail from the California valley, where it’s like walking into a pizza oven if you step outside between June and September.

NOLA was a WHOLE different beast. I wore a different bra the first day we were there, and it was awful. Day 2, I switched it up with the Bliss triangle and never looked back! It was so lightweight, but supported my 40DD girls plenty.

The thicker band at the bottom help trap any moisture, and the adjustable/thinner straps literally molder to my body. I wore it with dresses, tank tops, tshirts, it went with everything. The straps are thinner than the standard Bliss bra, which works better for the tanks I tend to wear, but they’re both extremely comfortable.

It was a game-changer, for sure! It was also light enough to wash out in the sink at night, then it would be dry by the next morning. I can’t wait for more colors to come out – this thing is my new secret weapon!.
