The lid takes 3 hands to remove – one to turn the lid, one to hold the cannister & another to pull down the unnecessary red locking trigger – probably a safety device to keep kids from opening it when running but the threads are so fine on the lid that it takes a lot of a force to unscrew it once it has been running & sucke din a bit of grit.

The bag grows algae and is hard to get crumbs of leaf litter & such out of the fabric. Would rather have gotten the hard basket version – may also be a factor in why it screws on so tight with the fabric covered ring in between the cannister & the lid.

I strongly suggest this product If you have a pool, get this product as this one does a great job of holding the leaves, you need to buy Pool Skimmer Socks along with this, so even small debris can be stopped getting into the pool pipes.

I install a pair of panty hose inside the catch bag; sucks up all the ‘dirt’ on the pool floor (after I sweep it into a pile) and catches it so it doesn’t get to the filter. Especially good on cartridge filters as they are expensive to replace.

This was easy to assemble, and I’m one person who’s not particularly big or particularly handy, and I did it by myself. First one took me 45 minutes, second one took me 20 minutes. It’s easy to assemble.

But it’s not particle board furniture – there are some tools required and you must read all the directions: including which tools are required. Some steps are left out, but not hard to intuit. I’ll try to list them below: General: it’s pretty obvious, but all the stuff you do on the sides needs to be done on both sides Step 6: the directions don’t explicitly say to attach the spacers with screws to the front section, as you did the back section.

You need to. Step 7: you must tighten the ball stud and lock nut using a 7/16th wrench and a 1/2 wrench/socket wrench. You must tighten till they are flush with one other Step 8: the hinge braces line up with the indentation pretty well in the correct direction.

There are no predrilled holes for you to screw into. Line it up, fit it into place, and then screw into the plastic. Step 9: There are no predrilled holes for you to screw into. Line it up, fit it into place, and then screw into the plastic.

You must tighten till they are flush with one other. I would do the nut/screw first on both sides. It says that you need two people, and it would make it much easier I admit, for one person to hold and one to tighten.

But it wasn’t particularly difficult to climb into the box with the lid resting on my back and attach both sets of nuts and screws and tighten. So while two people are recommended, I personally just did it by myself and was fine.

Disappointed, maybe just got a lemon. Instructions are not clear at all, I consider myself a pretty gpod handyman. In particular mounting the brackets for the struts, very unclear, actually had to put on twice as the first time lid would not close.

When closed the lid does not lay flat, almost like it was warped. As another reviewer, spaces where critters can enter and possibly rain water. , bottom in each corner and the gap by the hinge area. Can be and will be solved with clear silicone.

I guess I could use heavy weights on the lid for a couple days may help closing. Once I reversed the latch and grinding it to fit, it still does not penetrate the opening to put a pad lock on, although I never planned on locking.

Overall the unit is pretty sturdy, roomy will fit all our cushions, actually a little bigger than expected. The one I got had a small indentation in the back side. Since I already had taken everything out of the box and disposed of the box, I could not return it.

It will serve its purpose, looks great, but would never buy another one.

I love Suncast and this so far hasn’t disappointed. I already have two Suncast deck boxes out back but have since added a cabana area and needed more storage for cushions, and in the winter, the 10 curtain panels.

I got an extra large one because I thought I could store the large cushion from my new outdoor sofa but while I got the right size length wise, I didn’t foresee that one side of the cushion wouldn’t fold over quite right and wouldn’t allow the lid to seal properly.

but I’m glad I got this size because the sofa has lots of pillows to store and who can’t use more storage space. You can’t sit on this one like you can my other ones and this one was a bit more difficult to put together, not impossible but more difficult – I did it by myself (58 year old woman) it was a bit cumbersome to lug outside by myself as well but I got it all done.

so far it has held up to several heavy downpours and snow. My other ones are about 3 years old and are still as great as when I first got them. everything stays dry and the bugs stay out. I love these!.

Curbside pickup, started putting together the next morning. Got to second to last panel and just can’t get it to click. Ending up snapping a piece off. Take it back to the store and swap out that part.

Go home again, and still can’t get this piece on. Take everything back to the store, started setting a different one up in store. Got to last panel, couldn’t click it. Had several staff come assist and still unable to, clearly the measurements were just off.

Tried a fourth one and yet again. Accepted the refund but was told they’d connect with Keter rep to see what their solution is. Mgr advised he’d follow up with me as I really want the item, but I’ve yet too hear back.

Also stated he’d bring in a different brand/model for same price but no response from that either. Its been 2 weeks.

We bought this simply to store some garden cushions as we’d run out of other storage space in the garden. Unpacked, it feels stupidly flimsy, but once assembled, it’s pretty robust. I don’t think I’d want to sit on it though! Very easy to assemble – done in 5 minutes.

Took me longer to level the ground. It is very light – once the cushions come out in summer, we’ll put something heavy in it just to keep it in place. Downside – fitting a padlock is possible but the holes in the front / lid are difficult to get to once the lid is shut.

I plan to simply twist some wire in, just to keep it safe and stop the lid blowing up in wind / rain getting in.

I’ve got four of them – I bulk-buy wood for my stoves over the winter and store it in these plastic wood-effect boxes/seats and they keep it all nice and dry. Then, in the good weather, they become excellent seats for any humans or felines wanting to sit outside.

The boxes come flat-packed so are easy to get from the shop to home, and are really easy to put together – just popping lugs into holes is all. The individual pieces might seem flimsy when you first unpack them but the finished boxes are totally solid and even come with little rollers for one end if you need them.

Excellent all round – really pleased with this product.

Came quickly and well packaged. The description says no assembly required but you do have to assemble them. It’s super easy and tools are not needed, just pop the sides, front, bottom and top in to place.

They are very lightweight which was nice for moving them but seem kind of flimsy, definitely don’t try to sit on them. The lid does hinge open but it’s not spring loaded so it doesn’t stay open or close nicely like our big deck box.

The lids blow open in a strong wind and need a fair amount of stuff inside to keep them from moving around on the deck (a couple pillows won’t do it, they’ll be in the yard in no time). Overall pretty cheap product for a cheap price, so no big surprise there.

Will probably fade in the sun quickly but they look nice for now.

Seems sturdy enough for my purposes, and I liked that it’s made of weather safe materials. Super easy assembly with no tools required. Unfortunately one of the two arrived with an incorrect piece. The front and back panels are supposed to be different, and the front has a small latch to prevent the lis from sliding side to side.

I didn’t realize until it was particularly assembled and could not be separated without doing damage. I decided to keep them rather than try to explain to a customer service rep why I couldn’t get the defective one back into the box.

We had to order another skimmer basket for our pool. It fits perfect and works well. But the handles dont last on these baskets. Because theyre plastic. \nWish there were some baskets that had steel handles.

The worst product I have ever purchased through Walmart. This basket is the size of a toy, literally, and they sell better plastic toys at the Dollar store. Tried to send it back, my bad did not read the fine print.

My pool is 20 years old and it didn’t fit even though it said it would Think it was due to age. Too much hassle to return so cut into circle misread of oblong and it works somewhat. Quality, was able to trim edges with large sicciors so not so much very brittle.

Of it makes the season have decided to upgrade pool next year.

Just bought one for my new puppy, a border collie. I bought my first Yeti bowl 2 years ago. At the time my border collie puppy was 6 mos old and kept flipping his food bowl over; any and every bowl. So PC Richard started carrying this $50 dogfood bowl which I first thought was a little much.

But hey if it doesn’t flip over, then to me it’s worth it. So we used it for a week and although he tried, the bowl did not flip over due to how it is weighted. Then being a border collie he figured something out.

he kept nudging it with his snout and inch by inch moved it into an inside corner of the walls. Once in the corner he got leverage to slightly lift the edge of the bowl off the floor, and after some tries he figured how to push it up and get his nose under more of it.

until he was able to flip it up against the wall and then paw at it and nudge it upside down finally. I swear he turned around and grinned at me for his accomplishment. He never did it again, he just wanted me to know that as the smartest dog, a border collie, he could.

Purchased this because I?m notorious for kicking the collapsible bowl over when we?re camping. This bowl is sturdier and more durable. It?s weighted at the bottom with a grippy pad so it doesn?t get knocked over easily.

Bonus: its dishwasher safe. My pup is probably the max size for the 4 cup bowl, he?s a 30 pound heeler and it fits him just right for his 1. 5 cup scoop of food. I do have to refill the water several times a day so we probably could have gone with the 8 cup, but he?s really good at getting sticks and mud in his bowl when we?re camping so what we have works for us.

If you?re dog is bigger than 30lbs would recommend getting the bigger bowl, especially if you plan on using it daily. We?ll keep the collapsible bowl for backpacking but this is now our go-to for picnics, car camping, play dates, and doggy park days.

We’ve had these YETI Boomer 4 Dog Bowls for over a month, and our girls are happy. We purchased 4 of these bowls and placed them at various areas in our home, with one outdoors. Our 4 Australian Shepherd girls have never drank so much, and that’s a good thing.

I’d been having trouble with the skimmer baskets that my local pool shop had in stock – They’d last less than 2 weeks before cracking! This one is perfect. Well, almost perfect. It fits well. It is flexible enough that it doesn’t break.

It turns out that the lattice pattern is a little bigger, which has turned out to be a good thing, especially when the wind blows drifts of leaves in the pool. My only quibble is that it doesn’t have a handle although the grips along the edge do fine with grabbing it to empty it.

I’m glad I found this product!.

There are other Skimmer Baskets this size out there but this one is heavy duty and will last much longer. It has an inside tab to grasp easier to remove the skimmer basket when needed. The sides are made sturdier than than the other type out there.

We purchased the other type because we needed on in a hurry and that is what our pool store sells. But then we went looking for this one knowing that the other light duty one will not last. We only purchased it because we needed one that day.

Highly recommend this product.

I wouldn’t waste your money!! I purchased this box after reading all the reviews. good and bad and I decided to give it a chance! Used curb side delivery at one of the local stores – excellent experience 🙂 Opened the box at home, seemed to be in good condition.

The two end pieces were a little warped when I took them out of the box, but I assumed the would straight once the box was built. Not one of the little screws fit any of the “predrilled” holes. I was using a hand drill and I kept stripping the screws trying to get them in.

I can honestly say I tried every step, I thought if I could get the majority of the box together I would figure out how to make it work. After 30 minutes I got too frustrated and I decided to return.

If you have a way of making the holes a tiny bit bigger without stripping the small screws then I am sure you’d end up with a great storage bin! But alas I did not and I was very disappointed in paying full price and not being to figure a work around.

Returning it was a horrible experience and does not play in to my 2 stars, I just want to share because it was so surprising. The customer service rep at returns was good, they helped me get it out of my truck and processed the return.

it was the store manager that shocked me. He had to come and do an override, as the customer service rep explained the issue and he looked over at me, I felt awkward and said I kept stripping the screws.

He hesitated, and follow up by making a noise. “mmmm”. I could be wrong, but it felt very judgmental. I’ve been shopping at Canadian Tire for years and rarely return things, but when I have, I have never experienced any issues.

What’s interesting to me is I am seeing more comments like this about the return customer service at Canadian Tire. I am hopefully that this isn’t becoming the norm.

Arrived 4 days early. Just a few minor bends in the metal but was able to man handle flat so I could assemble it. You definitely need two people to finish assembling the last couple of pieces because of the dimensions and needing an extra pair of hands to either torque the piece while you screw in the hinges and sides.

Disappointed that I’m actually missing two components and one screw but I’m sure I can cont contact mfg and get those mailed. As for size, the depth is perfect, slightly bigger than visualized but I have the room for it so no big deal.

It is ALL metal so be mindful to not have it in full sun or you won’t be able to touch it.

Well constructed for the price. Coating on steel looks good. As others have mentioned, try to assemble on a flat surface & align the walls at right angles. I used a driver (phillips bit) for the assembly with no issues, took about 30 minutes.

Note, to clarify other comments, there are pilot holes only for metal screws. With a driver it isn’t an issue, by hand I can see it being more challenging. Ensure you place the drilled and threaded plate (two holes) the right way up to match the (right hand) thread of the lock plate bolts.

This guy is a solid workhorse. Either it gets very dirty, very easily, or I’m just using it constantly. Probably both tbh! I love finishing smoked meats on this thing, including tri-tip, steaks, pork tenderloin, etc.

The cast iron grates are a huge plus for those classic sear marks, while the heat distribution from the Sidekick burner allows for even searing with minimal to no flare-ups. Only downside is it appears the Sidekick burner might be too powerful for this searbox.

I try to keep it below medium, otherwise, the temperature gauge goes well past 750, and the bottom of the searbox turns from black to red #funtimes.

How do you make a transportable barbecue? Just ask the Camp Chef crew, they thought of everything. I own the 14 inch barbecue box. It’s easy to move, just carry it in one piece with large sturdy handle, and locking lid.

The infrared system keeps it clean after use, so you don’t get to your vehicle dirty. The whole thing (stove and barbecue box) fits in the trunk of my car. I give it 100 stars!.

I had been on the fence with the older Deluxe version of this attachment. I finally jumped on when they added the stainless steel lid. It is a unique design and I know they like their version with the heat diffuser plates.

I’m not the biggest fan of the design but felt comfortable spending the money on this since it doesn’t look like they’re planning to make any design changes. I added some custom cut grates (from a really popular company who makes grill grates).

I’m not sure if I should have ordered the griddle version of their grates to prevent the drippings from going down into the heat diffuser and ultimately on the burner. The pizza oven is the real deal though!!.

Just bought a house with a pool and the basket was broken. I purchased this and when I put it in the skimmer, there was immediate suction, keeping leaves from sneaking under like the broken one. Highly recommend.

I cant talk to the longevity but seems like very good quality.

Bought several of these over 20 years with my pool and by saving a few nickels I always got garbage that didn’t fit and cracked after a year. This one is factory fit and very heavy duty. Unfortunately it’s hard to find these good quality items on this crap website since they allow fakes to pose as OEM.

I had this skimmer for two seasons now. It creates a nice vortex and the floating piece allows you to remove the flapper door. It does a good job of trapping debris. What is dislike is the difficulty in removing the inner piece to clean out the debris.

I have been successful only once. Whenever you dump the basket over, debris get trapped between the two pieces. I am considering a skim around all in one because it appears to come apart easier. 5 stars for function.

I just bought my third Lifetime Storage Box. I have had the previous two for several years now (purchased 2nd one in 2014 and 1st one before that!) and both have held up very well. They have remained outdoors on my patio and by my pool all year here in NJ and are still in excellent condition.

The finish on both is still in excellent condition and have not stained with mold/algae as other plastic stuff has in my yard. They clean up easily in the springtime. I use these to store patio furniture cushions, pool tools, pool toys and supplies.

They boxes were fairly easy to assemble. I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. It is a lot easier to attach the lid if you have an assistant to hold it but I was able to do it by myself just fine.

I also cleaned up the through-holes of plastic burrs left after the manufacturing process to allow easier insertion of the hinge bolts. No big deal. One very important reason I purchased these specific model boxes from Lifetime is because they are made in the USA.

I am extremely pleased with this storage box and I highly recommend it.

I like the chest. Just put it together. I watched the YouTube video which was excellent. Just a few comments: The BKW (shorter screws) and the BEV (longer screws) should all be the same length. Why? Because the BEV were so long that I had to add washers to prevent the screws from going out of the side of the top.

Furthermore, one length screw would probably be more cost effective for Lifetime and less confusing during assembly for the customer. And a note should be made that the ‘nuts’ with the locking plastic on the threads should be utilized on the hinge/pin assembly.

Otherwise, I assembled this by myself. with the aid of the video. and the box looks great. I hope it stands up to the over 100 degree heat of New Mexico :).

I bought this box to replace a smaller deck box (different manufacturer) that finally succumbed to years of sunlight – the top got brittle, cracked, and appeared ready to start leaking. The Lifetime box is a much better design as far as ease of assembly.

I put it together by myself on a moderately windy day. Based on my experience I have three suggestions. First, in addition to reading the instructions, watch the assembly videos. Second, be sure to remove any plastic from the holes the bolts for the hinges go through before you try to install the top.

Trying to hold the top in place with one hand while clearing the bolt holes with the other hand is a losing proposition. Third, spray the slots in the bottom with silicone lubricant before attaching the front and back panels.

This will make it easier to slide those panels to lock them in place. And, as with any plastic product, it helps to have a drill handy in case any screw holes are missing. Overall I am well pleased with the quality of this deck box.

Time will tell how well it stands up to the elements.

Perfect in every way! I bought one of these over 10 yrs ago, took only a minute to put together, and it is still in perfect condition, doesn’t leak, and can be picked up and moved around easily. I needed more outdoor storage, so I knew exactly which tote to go looking for.

Thankfully they still make this one as good as they did in the past!!! I found it online, and it shipped quick!.

Good overall construction for an outdoor box. This lid on the box overlaps to close but if it’s not level the lid will be crooked so be sure to level it. It isn’t air tight which allows stuff to breathe but it is mostly waterproof as seen in last thunderstorm.

All pieces were clearly marked by a “Letter” and construction was simple while each piece interlocks to the next. I would beef up the plastic catch wires that hold the lid but they serve the purpose I guess.

I laid mine on a shipping skid. This box IS lockable and it has a 1/4″ hole to use either a cable lock or a long armed padlock. I can fit a full 6 gallon bucket with lid inside this box and close the lid to give an idea of it’s height.

This was perfect for me to store garden materials.

I just received my fourth Suncast Deck Box except for one these were all purchased through Hayneedle. I am confused. It took my daughter and I less then 10 min to assemble. The box was damaged at the top but nothing inside was damaged.

I have read reviews stating the box was flimsy hard to assemble, no instruction etc. Maybe I am very fortunate to never receive a bad product from Suncast. I only buy Suncast because they have never let me down.

They remain outside during the winter months (empty) and still hold up. Except for an occasional bug the boxes I own remain dry and sturdy, Will alway purchase Suncast.

The instructions are actually backwards when it comes to the hinge installation. Came with missing screws and once you seat the screws you’re hosed if the dang thing is warped, which you won’t see till it’s together.

Took 2 hours to get the hinges installed using a socket set because hand tight was just not good enough. They eventually had to shim one corner because the resin wasn’t cut correctly or molded however you want to look at it.

The price is on point that construction is horrible and the lack of parts was frustrating not to mention the directions are backwards the pictures were actually printed backwards as if they took a picture of it through a mirror.

Can’t fault tractor and supply for this manufacturers problems but I can say they should probably drop this product from there catalog. We doubt it will last one season up here in New England but we’ll see.

I bought this because the reviews here were good and reviewers were saying it was water proof. Well we had a big storm Victoria Day weekend and everything inside got soaked and there was a huge puddle in the bottom.

Thank goodness I checked a couple days later otherwise everything inside would have gotten moldy. I am returning it to the store. What is the point in having a deck box that’s not water proof?!? Also the box was full of those whrily-gigs from the maple tree.

If it closed properly, how would they get in. And it’s super flimsy. On the plus side, it is easy to put together. Not so easy to try to take apart so it’s going back to the store assembled. With tattered assembly instructions because they were in the box as well.

Don’t waste your money.

If you’re looking for something that is durable, rugged and quality stay far away from this product. To call this a disappointment would be putting it lightly. The pros: the design is nice. That is where the pros end.

The cons: the plastic is cheap, flimsy and comparable to the quality you would expect from a dollar store plastic bin. The base of the unit as others have pointed out isn’t very strong so don’t put anything heavy in there.

Many pieces of the plastic were chipped, scratched, scuffed or had minor deformities, not the end of the world but there is almost a dozen aesthetic issues. The price would be tolerable if the quality matched, but this unit shouldn’t be priced a dollar over $100 – it is highway robbery to charge $219+taxes for this.

The unit itself just clicks together with plastic clips to hold it together, which are pretty low quality and will break if you’re not careful. Overall avoid this product if you expect something that is of decent quality.

I would return this unit but it would be more of a hassle to take it apart and drive it back to the store.

I bought this as it was a great size and price. I admit I was hesitant at first as I bought a Keter shed last year and it came damaged. I emailed back and forth with Keter who promised to send a replacement part then to provide a refund.

They did neither. I decided to give Keter another chance. Well this deck box came with a hole in the lid. Sadly I did not notice until after it was together. A friend of mine said I could fill it with caulking as it was a pain to take back now that it was assembled.

I should have gone with my gut and not purchased another Keter product. No use reaching out to their support as I learned they talk a good game but do nothing. Beware of their products and don’t expect support.

deck box is a bit larger than I thought. It works well in the spot I have. I had thought it would have been a bit sturdier, but it is pretty solid and roomy. I like the soft close top feature. Installation was fairly straight forward except I got confused about the sequence.

The instructions don’t make it clear that you have to put the bottom on before putting the last side on. I struggle working to fit the bottom on after I put all the sides together. I messed up some of the plastic tabs to do so.

Now, I’m waiting to see how waterproof it may be. I gave this 5 stars because of its size and look. It really should be 4 because of my problem assembling the components.

My old skimmer basket was getting brittle and pieces started breaking off. This OEM replacement works just fine. I will say that the quality is not quite as good as the original, even though it’s a genuine Hayward replacement.

The plastic seems a bit thinner and the handle does not fit as snugly as the original. In fact, the handle wasn’t attached when I received it. I reattached it and it has stayed on since (several weeks).

All-in-all, I’m satisfied.

If you’re tired of the big, thick metal bars, bulky plastic handles, or thin bars that come out all the time, these are the baskets for you. Also, if you use the double-basket method (bottom basket with a sock, top basket to catch leaves, grass, etc), take the bar out and other baskets fit nicely into this one.

Plus, you can’t beat the price on these.

Nice unit. Just like the old one I replaced. Old one still in good condition except I like things to look new. The old one was put in in 1997 as it came with the New Hayward Skimmer Package.

Absolute waste of money. The item does not even fit together properly, leaving gaps on the sides and bottom. The top lid was so badly scratched up it looked like I had got someone’s return!! also the lid doesn’t close and the lock hole doesn’t line up.

As for the item doubling up as a seat because it is heavy weight bearing, I wouldn’t sit a toddler on it, it wobbles so badly! So disappointed. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I haven’t returned it, because I am house bound and it took forever to put together.

Lesson learnt.

I was looking for a storage container for a few frequently used garden tools I didn’t want to dig around in the shed for and to store patio cushions before a storm. I needed something large for the cushions but not particularly heavy duty.

I was surprised these boxes were so expensive as I hadn’t bought one in years. The price on this one was quite low at $68 so I give them 2 stars for reasonable pricing and another star for aesthetic.

as far as storage boxes go it’s not an eyesore and looks good next to our chrome and black BBQ. I deduct 2 stars for quality control as our lid had 2 cracks and the box looked perfect, no damage at all, so we believe it was damaged at the factory and they packed it up anyway (and they are obvious cracks).

My husband didn’t want to fuss with a return because the shipping box is so big and he had broke it down and folded it up before he assembled the container. The lid still functions and he’s going to seal the cracks to ensure they don’t cause leaks.

Perfect for us. Fits tons of pool toys. We have two adult size round floats, a couple buddy boards, Two sets of foam water weights, and more. Holds a bunch. No issues. Hinges work well. We’ve had it all through spring, summer, and fall now and it’s great.

Originally got it to be able to hold full-size solid wood cornhole sets, and it does, just for reference.

I had to undo half of my assembly, as I put the outside of sides on the inside. see their diagram for groves. There are 18 screws at the bottom and 16 at the top. But that is what makes it sturdy. Use a strong electric screwdriver and finish by hand.

Quality is very good. Been 3 months in sun and rain with no change. Time will tell. DO latch the lid down. We had extra windy rain. Once lid opened a little, the hydraulic hinges pushed it to full open.

Genuine replacement product was a good price (lower than Amazon, even though Amazon had free delivery). Because it’s the original manufacturer replacement it works perfectly.

I’ve had my eye on this rug and color for two years. Finally got it for a great price. I have had Colonial Mill braided rugs before. They last forever. Times have changed though so the rug is a little thinner than past years.

Not a big deal since we have less traffic with the children gone. The only real disappointment was the change in pattern from concentric bands into an all over tweed effect. The runs of color were so short that the dark blue made splotches rather than bands.
