A bow is a traditional weapon used by samurai warriors in feudal Japan. It was used both for hunting and for combat, and was considered an essential part of a samurai’s arsenal. The bow was made from a variety of materials, including wood, bamboo, and metal, and could be strung with either silk or hemp cord.
It was typically used with arrows tipped with either metal or bamboo, and could be fired from either a standing or kneeling position.

1. PSE Snake Recurve Bow
Practice target shooting at the archery range all day with the 60-Inch Snake Pro Max Recurve Kids Bow Kit from PSE Archery.
Hit the target more often with the 60-Inch Snake Pro Max Recurve Kids Bow Kit from PSE Archery.
This was the first bow, that I bought in a long time. It fits the arrows nicely. It also shoots nice and there’s no hard pool. And it’s easily fits in small space. It is Light weight it’s not heavy weighted and it’s not confusing like the other bows.
it doesn’t have all those gears and things you have to watch out for. I would highly recommend this bow if this is your first time or if you are looking to upgrade for the kids.
I have been using several of these for years on a public trial course at fairs. each gets used for literally 200-300 shots on any given day. They take great abuse and keep on going. They have outlasted much pricier bows and many many strings.
We got our kids some of the Bear Archery beginners bows from Academy, We enrolled them in beginners lessons and they asked me to get a bow to go out in the yard and practice with them. I had been researching bows to upgrade for them and came across the PSE Snake.
I was surprised to see that it worked well for myself and my 9 yo twins. I am able to get some zip on it and they were able to get their arrows on target.

This tool is a life-sized must have for members of the Minecraft community. For ages 6 and up.
Very cool toy! The arrow broke on the 3rd day, right in the middle but company happily replaced item. My kids decided to hit one another so it was not damaged due to proper use. Very easy to handle and shoot for smaller children and flies well.
I’m not sure how long the stretch bands will last but we’ll see.
I didn’t expect this toy to be worth much. It stole the show at my daughters 6th birthday party! We had a Minecraft theme. This was one of her gifts. After it was unboxed kids AND adults were fighting to play with it! It’s really made well.
We LOVE these bows – bought two to decorate the tall bushes by our front door. Very good quality and handy grommetted holes for securing with floral wire so they stayed put even through a couple of big wind storms.
Made our house look so festive and they didn’t fade or fray – looking forward to using them for years to come!.
CenterPoint Aspen Takedown Recurve Bow has a rich laminated riser that is made of African cherry rose, white oak, maple and green wood for maximum strength and a flawless look. The Aspen limbs are made of hard maple and fiberglass for strength and long lasting durability.
The CenterPoint Aspen overall length is 62 and a brace height from 7. 5 to 8. 25. The aspen has a modern limb-pocket design and brass threaded inserts for easy sights/arrow rest install. Kit includes bow, stringer, finger tab, nock set and arrow rest.
I just purchased the centrepoint aspen and completely amazed at the quality and performance. I am used to using a one piece recurve (Bear Grissly) that I had purchased in 1977. I used that bow for ages until I had to retire it.
I recently decided to get back into archery and researched bows for several weeks. I knew I wanted to stay with recurves but I really liked what I was reading about take down bows. It took me only a few minutes to get the bow ready for shooting.
I was very impressed with how smooth the bow drew and how quiet it was. I very much recommend this bow for intermediate archers. One small point. The finger tab sucks so get a good glove separately. I also purchased a separate arrow rest.
I bought this bow for my son’s birthday. It looks great and went together nicely. We have yet to use it as the string was missing. There doesn’t seem to be a size for the string anywhere (packaging, online, etc.
). Does anyone know what size of string to get? We are looking forward to using it.
Well pleased with this Bow, well made, very accurate. Had a small defect on the Handle riser below the grip, smaller than my fingernail, but great buy for the money. The shipping is a little slow, but with what’s going on in this country right now, it is understandable, have made several other purchases from Sportsman’s guide and am pleased with the quality of the products.
This Bear Grizzly Longbow Bow is designed to build the archer’s confidence by its pinpoint accuracy and power. The 58-inch high-performance length will comfortably handle personal draw lengths of 27/28/29 inches.
I have been into traditional archery for about 10 years now. I have shot a bunch of different recurves, both borrowed from friends and of my personal collection. I’ve owned my Super Grizzly for about 6 years now, 55#.
I do not claim to be an expert, just a guy with a little experience with different bows. I am comparing this bow to to the ones I’ve shot, which are Bear Grizzly, Bear Kodiak, Bear Kodiak Magnum (I do not recommend this one for guys with 30″ draws), Samick Sage, PSE Coyote, and a Hoyt take down (don’t remember the model, it was a friend’s).
Compared to the rest, the Bear Super Grizzly felt the smoothest to draw, very quiet when tuned, durable, accurate, and the finish wares well and reveals a beautiful finish. Specific comparisons: -The Bear Grizzly: The Super Grizzly is more forgiving and smoother on the draw.
My Old Grizzly suffered a little limb twist in the same time and conditions that I have owned my Super Grizzly. I think the glass on the belly of the Super Griz helps prevent this also. It’s still as straight as it was out of the box.
-Bear Kodiak: While the Kodiak’s added length provided a more comfortable draw hand, it did not feel as fast or as smooth as my Super Grizzly. -Bear Kodiak Magnum: WAAAAAAY too short for guys with longer draw lengths.
Not a fan at all. -Samick and PSE Coyote: These two are not built to the same quality control, nor fit and finish. Again, not as smooth and comfortable as the Super Griz. I felt a big difference in quality when shooting.
-My buddy’s Hoyt: A bigger price tag for what, to me, boils down to high speed looking aesthetics. The Hoyt shot well and comfortably enough, but not twice the price tag worth.
I bought in early summer to have enough practice time before whitetail archery season. I had months of shooting almost daily. very impressed with every aspect of this bow; from the looks, to the smooth shooting, and it was almost completely silent when shot.
I would encourage anyone to this product. I have always shot Bear products and really didn’t expect anything less.
This is the slightly upgraded version of the Grizzly, with reinforced tips and one more laminate layer in the arms. It is a well made, solid but light bow. It seems like it holds up to whatever it needs to.
It shoots well right away (I just got the arrows that 3Rivers recommended based on my draw length, the bow, etc). Nothing fancy, but love that it is just a simple, great shooting recurve.
This 58 AMO recurve with its brown hard-rock maple one piece riser with limbs overlaid with clear maple both backed and faced with high strength black fiberglass. There is a crowned and cut on center arrow shelf that includes leather side plate and bear hair arrow rest above the grip that is cupped with fiberglass.
Features: Right hand bow Aluminum alloy riser with high intensity, Stainless steel cable guard Adjustable draw weight and draw length With String silencer and peep hole Specifications: IBO rating: up to 320 fps Axle-to-axle: 30 inch Brace height: 8 inch Draw weight: 20 – 70lbs Let-off: 75 – 80% Draw Lengths: 17 inch – 29 inch Bow Weight: 3.
Got the bow pulled it out of the box, fitted all the accessories on and noticed it is a very lite abs comfortable bow to handle. Took it outside and began shooting at my target. Just a couple of adjustments and felt like i have had this bow for years.
A great bow for anyone beginner or pro. Very well made and strong for now. I save the rest of my opion for awhile after i shot it for some time. Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price.

The recommended age range for children is 12 years old and up. The Titan is a 60-inch long bow that features durable composite limbs and an 20-29 lb. draw weight and a 22- to 28-inch draw length range.
It’s never too early to share Bear with the next generation of archers.
I bought this bow for my 12 year old granddaughter for her birthday. I was concerned that it might be too heavy for her to draw but she handles it fine. The only thing I was disappointed in was that it didn’t come with a couple of arrows.
Not a big deal, purchased some good quality arrows for her but just know unlike some youth bows, you only get the bow, no accessories. Good quality bow that can be used for years.
Grandson and I shot it ,I was hard to draw. He shot it a few times and went back to the 20# pse razor. I would say buy a better bow ,for a little more money you will have more fun shooting. Now it is rugged, and I can see why the camps would get them.
I think I could drive a tractor over it and pick up and shoot it all day. I little patience , I could get better at it. My grandson 10 liked the power of it. But he didn’t like the effort it took to draw it back.
Like the bow, daughter shot it a bunch. Not good when she over drew an arrow and it went against the riser and bent. Up to 28″ draw length bow package should come with arrows longer than 26″ (27″ to end of the tip).

Purchased this bow after not shooting about ten years since high school. Has the same feel as my older Hoyt Xt2000 from 2001. Does have a smooth draw and flat backwall. has been quiet for the time being.
The most convenience from this bow is probably the option to change draw lengths easily. The rth package is okay. Can’t do much with 4 pins, the stabilizer is real basic and needs an upgrade, the strings are frayed already after 2 weeks, the peep hole is extremely large so there’s no consistency with shooting, the hand grip is fairly small and awkward to hold steady, the d loop is really thin which made me switch releases.
Although Trophy Ridge products make this bow a good looking package it’s not quite the package needed for ready to go into the woods. Going to see if Cabela’s will take back as easily as they force you out the door with it.
For the money I rather buy a bow with nothing and create my own build.
I have had a RTH package bow in the past and the items that come on this bow are higher quality than what cam on the past as these components have metal parts rather than purely all plastic. The quiver that comes with this is high quality but is a pain to break in (thats probably a good thing that its so tight).
The bow itself is super high quality, sturdy, and great looking to top it off. Little details like the sight coming with a light is a selling point for me because if it has little details like that, the rest of the bow has to be high quality.
A couple of my friends have Mathews V3s and they think that this bow is comparable in alot of the most important departments. My only complaint with this bow is that i hate the tubed peep sights but i do understand that they’re easier to sell and distribute with components such as this.
Other than that, I am beyond happy with my purchase. Excellent job Bear!.
Minecraft comes to life with this player-sized Ultimate Bow and Arrow set that makes game-accurate shooting sounds. This fan-favorite accessory looks like the weapon that Minecraft players make to fend off attacks from evil mobs! Players will have fun battling each other offline or using the electronic toy to knock down their Minecraft characters (sold separately).
Colors and decorations may vary. Product info: This player-sized Minecraft Ultimate Bow and Arrow lets kids act out Minecraft adventures in real life! The electronic role play set makes 9 game-authentic sounds as heard in the Minecraft video game! The bow and arrow has Minecraft’s unique pixelated styling! The bowstring responds with a CREEAAK! sound when retracted for even more game-precise excitement! The collectible Minecraft toy makes a great gift for video gamers who love to battle with adventure, ages 6 and up! Contains: 1 Minecraft Bow, 1 Minecraft Arrow and 3 LR44 Button Cell Batteries.
Pros: Being hit with the foam tipped arrow feels like being hit with a slightly larger nerf dart, which is to say it doesn’t really hurt. You shouldn’t aim it at eyes or toddlers, but kids ages 5+ are probably going to be fine.
The bow is designed to make sounds when you pull back on the string and release the arrow, which my 7 year old liked. What I liked is that there is an on/off button for the speaker, meaning we could turn it off, and he could continue playing with the toy without the same sound playing over and over.
The bow is made so that you can actually pull the bow string back, and then power the arrow forward with the force of the bow. The cons here aren’t really that negative. This isn’t a bow and arrow set to practice archery with, it’s clearly a toy.
You’re not going to get the distance or accuracy you would with a real archery set, this is more for kiddos chasing each other and playing. Lastly, I love this set as a part of a costume. Last Halloween we bought my son a plastic Minecraft sword to go with his costume.
He and I both agree that this bow and arrow set is a way cooler costume accessory.
This is our review of the Minecraft Ultimate Bow and Arrow with Lights & Sounds by Mattel. My son was super excited to open this one. As a big Minecraft fan, he enjoys playing Minecraft both inside the game and out.
His other Minecraft toys (sword and pick axe), do not have any sounds, so this is an upgrade for him. The size works well with his other toys and the bow is surprisingly easy and comfortable to fire.
He says he gives it 5 stars, no cons at all! As a parent I will say this toy is well made. The “string” is a sponge like foam that appears to be well made. There is a track (in the stock of the bow) that is made of 2 wheels that you load the arrow through.
It seems to keep the arrow in place nicely. The tip of the arrow is a firm foam material. Hard enough to keep its shape, but soft enough to not hurt should it hit someone. The sounds are great. from the sound of pulling back the bow to it firing is very good.
It also plays sounds when it hits its “target”. The sounds we observed were: striking a target or tree, TNT, Enderman and Zombie. The sounds appear to be random. While there is no volume control, the volume wasn’t something that was obnoxiously high, if anything I would say right where it should be.
The arrow doesn’t travel very fast. A good speed given the type of toy it is. We consistently had the arrow traveling 10-20 feet (in the house). Pros: Well made, fun, sounds are great, scales well to other Minecraft toys we already own.
Cons: While the item name on the websites say “Lights & Sounds”, there is no Lights to this weapon, so its misleading. We only saw “sounds” on the packaging, so this seems to only be a issue with the name used on retail websites.
I don’t see where any lights would be used, so it doesn’t take away from the toy. The only other con we see is the battery requirement. Three LR44 (round) batteries are required. I would have rather AA or AAA batteries for this type of toy.
We always have those laying around the house, but the round batteries will require a trip to the store when they run out. The bow comes with batteries, we will see how long they last. All in all this is a great toy with realistic sounds from the game.
Received from Mattel in exchange for an honest review. Packaged well, mostly using cardboard (recyclable), but some use of plastic to hold it in place. Solidly built toy bow and arrow. Looks just like the bow and arrow used in the video game.
Makes sounds as you draw back the bow, and again when you release the arrow. Safe foam tipped bow, and drawstring also make of a foam type material. Feels like it will last. The plastic frame of the bow is a bit uncomfortable to hold with prolonged use, due to the squared moulded design.
Designed to be used to shoot down Minecraft figures (sold separately) but my kids just had fun running around the house aiming at each other! Straight forward and easy to use – my kids are 9 and 3.
From backyard recreation to schools, clubs, camps and J. O. A. D. programs, the OMP Adventure 2. 0 Recurve Bow is ideal for all types of recreational target archery. Crafted from walnut, white oak, hard maple, and padauk woods.
Three piece take-down design for easy storage Equipped with sight, plunger and stabilizer bushings Slim grip design Recommended brace height: 48-inch [. ].
I’ve been into archery for 40yrs (I hunt probably 150 days a year. seriously), and this bow is all around excellent. This bow,and all October Mountain bows, are actually rebranded Samick bows. Samick is a solid name in traditional archery.
That said, this bow is solid, very well built, and shoots as good as my bows costing close to $800. The riser is beautiful, the limbs can be changed out to any weight you want, its just a solid bow, made for everyone from beginners to pro shooters.
That said, you can save $100 because everywhere else they are $149. Is the bow worth more? Absolutely! This bow shoots as good as a $1200 Bob Lee custom.
I got this bow as a gift 5 or so years ago. I’ve shot hundreds of arrows through it, so I suppose it held up well enough. I’m a little disappointed because the bottom limb snapped today without cause (i.
e. I didn’t overdraw, etc. ). If OMP offered a 60# bow, I might go for that.
I only just received this bow and thought I’d send in a review right away. The first thing I noticed after opening the box and assembling is the excellent workmanship. Not a single blemish on the limbs or riser.
The riser itself is beautifully made and blended with nice maple. The grip fits my hand perfectly. After firing a few arrows last night, the bow draws smooth and is surprisingly quiet. There is a lot of quality packed into what some consider an entry level hunting recurve.
I’m very impressed and would recommend this bow to anyone. novice to experienced.

Super fun product. Safe for kids and enjoyable. Perfect to play hunt with the kids during hunting season. My son loves it plays with it everyday. I purchased this at my salon that I work at. Definitely would recommend.
My son loves this bow and arrow!! It’s fairly sturdy and shoots far. I would say it’s for 7+ because it’s pretty powerful so the user has to understand no shooting at a face. This is great for basements and out door where you can shoot with a little bit of room to play.
I was so hesitant to purchase this. however very glad I did! My boys have a blast! I waited to leave a review anticipating for it to break, but its still like new. Lots of good fun. My kids look forward to these, finally taking the long over due break from video games!.
Overview: Nineteen sixty-seven marked the end of an era and the beginning of a new one at Bear Archery, after 17 years of production the Super Kodiak replaced the very popular Kodiak line of bows. The same craftsmanship has stayed true over the past 45 years making this bow a legend just like the man who once mastered it.
Fred used this model bow for many years on quests for African lion, cape buffalo, Alaskan polar bear and the British Columbia grizzly bear. Still to this day the Super Kodiak is one of the smoothest, finest shooting bows available.
Features: Brown and Black Dymondwood 60 inch AMO length.
I have a 76′ Kmag 50# I bought new. Grayling Green. Just received my new KMag 45# and comparing side by side the 76′ looks as if it is comparatively over built and it has taken considerable abuse over the years and still functions like new.
I shot about 100 arrows through my new one same day it arrived and it shoots very well when I do my part. That’s a big “when” because a short bow is less forgiving of form issues than longer recurves.
But the performance is there, it’s totally up to me to bring it out. I like it for what I do and that is deer hunting woodland thickets. Braces best for me at 8″ and I shoot off the shelf, split finger, pure instinctive, 27″ draw.
I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner only because it’s a little less forgiving than a longer bow. So far, and not hardly broken in, I would give it high marks for light weight, handling and portability for ground hunting woodlands or from a tree stand.
Has a character of it’s own, a really nice bow. Of course we’ll see how it holds up to hard use.
I have been shooting since I could walk but took a 45 year break. 63 now so it’s apparently like riding a bike. Photo is not representative of my normal 12 arrow ends. My SK is a #55, my next will be a 60 through TRA.
I also have the original Kodiak in a #45, it’s lighter, prettier and quieter but the grip is a little. dainty. Full disclosure: I’ve tried a shot or two with other bows but basically have always stood behind Fred Bear.
There may be better bows but I stand behind Fred Bear, the man. This is a man’s bow designed and shot by the man himself.
Really nice bow. love the grip. The grey glass is really nice. Limbs are straight. tiller is good. Shoots arrows fast and accurate. And fairly quite. String quality not so good. loops are the same size really small.
Top loop should be bigger to slide down the limb while stringing. Looks like the limb tips where the tip over lays meet the fibre glass was sanded a little to deep as you can see in the pictures. Almost back down to the wood core.
My kids, 7 and 9 years old LOVE this toy. It really helps with their aim, coordination and building arm strength. The arrows are soft and cushioned, so it’s safe to use in the house. My kids enjoy designating their own “targets” and creating different score keeping systems.
This bow and arrow set really flies! Its not for inside use since the arrows will easily go 150 feet. The arrows are soft but could break a window if shot close enough. The entire set is well made. I only wish we could get some more arrows.

Such an excellent starter bow. Beautiful riser and as part of the recurve kit its just an excellent way to get everything you need to start shooting. We bought a set of Black Sheep 24lb limbs in addition to the recurve set so that our son could start off with the lighter weight and then upgrade when he is ready.
Bow stringer was helpful as was the youtube video telling us how to use it! Overall absolutely stoked with our kit purchase.
The Timber Ridge Takedown 60″ recurve bow has all the performance and appeal you could ask for in an intermediate bow. With tons of wood grain patterns and stylish curves for an awesome look! All at an incredible price.
Riser: The 15″ riser is crafted from a blend of exotic hardwoods and maple. Features a highly radiused shelf for minimal arrow contact. That’s great for improving accuracy. The Timber Ridge riser has a medium grip for the perfect fit in your hand.
The limb connection points feature felt limb pads for extra silence. Arrow rest installed. Limbs: Made from exotic hardwoods with clear fiberglass laminations. The limbs feature reinforced tips, making them FastFlight compatible.
Single pin and bolt limb attachment. String: Dacron Flemish Twist bow string included. Includes limb bolt Allen wrench, two limb bolts, and bow case with two zippered pockets. Available in right handed or left handed in 35#, 40#, 45#, 50#, or 55#.
I have been shooting my TR 45# T/D Recurve since May. It has seen almost daily use, heavy shooting, and real world testing. I have changed things, swapped things out, and made slight adjustments. My Review from 3 months ago still stands.
This is a GREAT BOW at an even better price. I am currently hunting whitetails in Missouri and I trust this bows accuracy entirely. One thing I found during the tuning process, this bow does not tune well off the shelf if you are a 3-under shooter.
You will need an elevated rest and I recommend the Bear Weather Rest. At the end of the day I like this bow and it will stay around. Some reviews have said this is a loud bow. it is not. I believe hunters should use string groove material for best results no matter what and good string silencers.
I am using Black Widow Spiders on a D97 Flemish twist string. Including velcro on the sight window. The bow is efficient, quiet and consistent. For more information and to see this bow in use, head over to my YT channel BACKWARDS HAT Traditional Archery & Outdoor Skills.
I was a both skeptical and optimistic about this bow just based off the fact it’s a China bow at a budget price. But I am going through the process of testing bows and working my way ultimately towards a custom/high end bow.
Upon receiving this bow it did have a slight twist in the upper limb. I ultimately shimmed between the limb and riser and it’s worked it’s self out just fine. With all that aside the fit and finish is to be expected.
Some lines don’t flow and line up but again, it’s a budget mass production bow. I added a high end string and tuned this bow diligently with good arrow build and this bow is LIGHTS OUT. It shoots right there with any other bow I’ve used.
I think at the end of the day it has all the right features for the price and it is an EXCELLENT BUDGET BOW. I will be hunting with it this fall and in NE next year.
I bought this at the Nanaimo store several months ago and while it’s very pretty and shoots well, the felt on the shelf quickly got torn up by the fetching and the limbs don’t fit the riser well. The limbs are wider than the riser and overhang one side more than the other.
The worst part is the serial numbers on the limbs don’t match. This is probably why they don’t line up right. You might expect this on a surplus SKS, but not a brand new bow. Unfortunately the guy working the archery section didn’t organize these properly, they were scattered all over the place instead of being in their respective cases like a normal store.
It also didn’t come with a nock installed, and given that he said he didn’t know a lot about archery, I didn’t ask him to put one on.
With its slim grip and smooth draw, Cabelas Warden 62 Recurve Bow is perfect for getting anybodyted in archery. Slim-grip design fits archers of all ages. Wood core and black fiberglass limbs with reinforced limb tips withstand stress for years of use.
Walnut, white oak, hard maple and garin riser makes the Warden as attractive as it is functional. Color: Brown.
i just received this in the mail. few nicks around the edges and pads around the arrow rest are already coming loose. when i went to string it and the large hook broke as soon as i applied any pressure.
will have to find a new string before i can test the bow. not confident in the bows integrity based on my first 5 minutes of handling it.
I bought this bow to replace my 36lb Greentree Recurve bow. I caught the previous deal for a little lower!! I am one happy Warden recurve bow owner! This bow is very nice out the box y’all! I purchased the 45ib version and the craftsmanship is top notch! I went ahead and replaced the original string with fast-flight Flemish strings and purchased some GT 500 traditional fletched arrows; however, I already had some Victory “Gamer” all silver, 500 spine feather fletched arrows that was suppose to be movie replica arrows from the “hunger games”.
Let me tell you- these arrows matched up very nice with my Warden recurve! I am having so much fun! Also, the limbs from my Greentree recurve fits my Warden perfectly! I now have 36lb limbs and 45lb limbs.
I highly recommend this recurve bow for beginners on up!.
The Magyar bow is inspired by the warrior-archers of the same name. The Magyar were the original Hungarian people, renowned for their horsemanship and archery. Because of their skill with the horse bow, at one point in history these great warriors controlled more territory than the French, being the third greatest power in Europe.
Now you can harness that great empire-building power with the Magyar Sport. The Magyar Sport horse bow measures 55″ long when strung, and draws smooth to a 30″ draw length. The limbs are fiberglass wrapped in leather, with solid wood syhas.
Shoots “off the knuckle,” so can be shot left or right handed. Color varies. Bow string included. Available in 35, 40, 45, and 50# @ 30″. Please specify. Bow Length: 58″ (string groove-to-string groove, unstrung) String Length: 50″ Loop Size: 6¾” Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is.
Bow weight will change approximately ±2 ½ pounds for every inch from a bow’s rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28″ bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27″ or 47½# @ 29″. Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#’s under and 3#’s over).
Solid bow, minimal twist, very little hand shock, no sound and very well made. Grip is a bit narrow for my hands and I had to tape up a palm swell to grip it properly to perform Kathra correctly. Bow is a bit heavy but performs very well.
FYI Kassai updated the Magyar in 2002 and refined it, it’s now called the Magyar Sport Raven. This is that Raven refinement bow.
I just received this bow as an early Fathers Day gift from my son and I absolutely love it. I have shot longbow and recurve for years and wanted to try something new. this bow is beautiful straight out of the box.
it comes with a sock for storage which was a nice surprise. The bow is easily strung up using the step through method, and draws smother than my 60″ longbow. I am planning on learning the traditional Mediterranean style thumb release, however this bow shoots like a dream with the three finger style as well.
I purchased this bow as a new off hand shooter. I was amazed at how easy it was for me to pick up this new way of shooting. As my friends that shoot off hand told me it would take me some time to get use to.
The smooth draw and release was amazing. The Leather work on the bow is seamless and precise. With in a few hours i was grouping on target. The bows design is exotic yet powerful. My father saw the bow for the first time two days after i bought it, and was amazed at the exotic look and power it had.
Every one that looks at this Magyar bow asks me what kind of bow is that and were did i get it. I simply say its a blast from the past. And 3Rivers is one of the pleases to get one. I have been surching for a dealer in the states for over three monthes, trying to deside on where i would purches from.
3Rivers is the plase fore sure. It also being a Lajos Kassai bow make it well worth it. Lajos Kassai is a hungarian archer/horse archer and boyer. He is the guy that put 12 arrows on target in 18 seconds from horse back.
The product has a reputable name to back the quality of the bow and craftsmanship. This bow is amazing.
