20 Best Board And Train For Dogs
1. Treat & Train Remote Reward Dog Trainer
Teaches calm behavior in distracting situations like visitors at the door, the family dinner table, or left alone in a crate
Makes dogs to focus on you with engaging, interactive games that provide exercise and mental stimulation
Reward your dog’s good behavior instantly by remote control. 2 interchangeable food disks for different sized kibble/treats. Extendable target wand with removable base. Hand-held remote control with battery.
Requires 4 D batteries for the base (not included). Rewards are the best teacher, and the PetSafe Manners Minder Remote Training System is the best way to deliver rewards. The remote-operated feeding dish lets you dispense treats without having to keep a handful of Snausages in your pocket.
Simply press the button and the covered dish reveals a treat, encouraging your dog to stop begging, barking or pestering your guests.
I have 3 of these devices, purchased when it was marketed as the Manners Minder. It’s fabulous whenever you want to train behaviours and you have to be some distance away from your dog. Some examples where I have successfully used the T&T: leaving a dog with separation anxiety inside the house while I go outside, calming down a dog that goes crazy when riding in the back of the car, calming down a dog that goes crazy when I mow the lawn, stopping barking when I respond to the door bell, leaving one dog in the car without barking when I competed in tracking with another dog, training a dog to wait calmly away from the table when humans are eating a meal, proofing behaviours for competitive dog sports.
There are 4 channels, so you can operate multiple T&Ts for multiple animals at the same time. One remote can also be used to operate multiple T&Ts at the same time when they are all set to the same channel.
You may reinforce once whenever you wish, or set the device to dispense repeatedly, either on a fixed or variable schedule of reinforcement, and you can set the timing between each dispense from 3-300 seconds.
It comes with an instruction book, a DVD featuring videos of several training ideas, and a target stick, which may be used as a hand held target or free standing. It will work with several different brands of kibble.
I purchased this after lots of debate whether it would be worth the money or not and I am so glad I did! My agility dog and I have been struggling with weaves and this has been a great help in teaching him to drive forward instead of looking to me.
I am also using it with my other dogs to help with impulse control. I am just sorry it took me this long to get one! 100% recommend. The only negative is that it did not come with the battery for the remote like it stated it did.
Luckily I had one that size on hand so I could use this immediately. A very small issue and not one that would ever lead me to not encourage anyone from purchasing this product!.
I’ve waited about 4 months to write my review for this item because I wanted to have a complete experience to report. Having an exuberant dog that even 1 hour daily walks, treadmill training and using traditional food puzzles and dispensers didn’t seem to calm in the slightest, this has been a gem! Upon first inspection, I thought it was merely a remote controlled food dispenser with a few options to increase calm and patience with a positive training protocol.
But, I THOROUGHLY READ THE MANUAL and WATCHED the DVD. It is a complete training package to improve your dog’s behavior and particularly manners. It has become our routine twice a day, for 15 minutes or less, every day to do the exercises.
There are even options for when you personally need to take a session off but your dog can keep working! Some others have commented on how the DVD is worth every penny by itself, we wholeheartedly agree in our home.
The key is not to make any assumptions or take any shortcuts and constantly review the proper techniques. We love that the DVD shows you both what to do and not to do. It’s so handy to rewind constantly.
We probably watched some segments 10+ times. After a year of what felt like trying everything, we consulted a veterinary behaviorist who introduced us to the Treat and Train. It’s wonderful to have a product and process that feel fool-proof and positive.
As for the product jamming, we just can’t complain about that. There are multiple sizes of the spinners that allow the food to be dispensed and we have had it jam very few times. It’s most likely to jam as the food/treats diminish to the last few.
We use Zignature kibble at meal times with the Treat and Train and use Zuke’s Natural Minis when we do an extra session with treats and very few problems. less than 10% of the time. We feel by following the training methods provided and using the Treat and Train, we made more progress in just a couple of days than months of training without it.
We give it the highest accolades. We’re appreciative of Dr. Yin, her techniques and her remote dispenser. so are guests when they come to our home!.
Solve problem behavior: Professionally designed and engineered, the klimb is designed to improve the relationship between you and your dog by working on common issues like begging, jumping, and unnecessary barking.
How it works: The klimb is a safe space for your dog; they feel comfortable and happy here. By giving them this defined and elevated space, they become more focused on you and your cues. The specifics: The base is 24” sq with 12” removeable legs.
The base is a strong, molded poly with our exclusive pawgrip rubberized surface for sure pet footing. It’s uv stabilized and washable for limitless outdoor use. Portable and modular: The lightweight design weighs only 14 lbs but holds up to 500 lbs.
the klimb is ideal for on-the-go training and has a modular deck, allowing you to connect and stack for unlimited configurations. Dogs live in our world, and it is our job to make sure they are safe, loved, and comfortable to ensure they succeed.
Our Klimb Training Kit was developed by dog training experts with that in mind. It gives your pup a defined “place” to call their own. It helps with common behavioral problems like begging, incessant barking, and jumping on guests.
The mailman, doorbell, and vacuum cleaner will no longer be the enemy in your home. At 2 feet square, it can easily fit into most rooms in your home, but the durable, UV protected design means it can also live in your backyard.
The rubber mat makes sure your pup’s paws aren’t going anywhere when they’re being trained. The legs easily screw securely in place and store flush in recess underneath the base for easy, compact transport or storage.
All dogs are good dogs, some just need some extra attention and care to let it shine through. Klimb paves the way to better behavior. Blue-9 is one brand to meet all your training goals. Our goal is to provide products that make it easier for dog owners around the world to connect with their pets.
Yes, the KLIMB is expensive, and you will get your money’s worth out of this platform. It is versatile (three heights with purchase of optional short legs) and can be used for physical fitness exercises as well as for general manners training, indoors and out, in all kinds of weather.
The specific edges are often easier for a dog to understand (placement) than a simple mat which lies flat on the floor. And for dogs who like to be high, simply getting on the KLIMB is reinforcing. Even though the surface is textured, it can be slippery, so purchasing the rubber mat accessory is not optional in my opinion.
And beware: you will want more than one KLIMB! :o).
I have been wanting one of these for several years and finally got one!!! I have been using it to train my 3 golden retriever puppies the table since they are being trained in agility. Teaching then to lay down and stay it has worked very well.
Recently caved and bought a Klimb. A bit pricey but I can’t believe how much we have used it already. I’m working on my dog’s trick titles and stunt dog titles and this is coming in very handy – wish I had one sooner! It is a bit pricey for a plastic stand but it is sturdy and well designed.
A top-mounted selection dial provides for 6 levels of stimulation for adjustability without complexity. Pro 70 can expand to train up to 6 dogs (additional dog devices required) and features remote-operated LED beacon lights on the dog device for low light conditions and built in BarkLimiter, activated on the dog device, for a quieter kennel.
The PRO 70 uses the tried and true tube-shaped design that trainers have come to love, but is easy to operate (and master) 1-handed so you can keep your eyes on your dog at all times, even while switching between stimulation levels and dogs.
The stimulation level/tone/LED selection dial is at the top of the handheld unit, allowing intuitive operation. And the multi-dog toggle switch and the color-coded buttons comfortably line up in the hand for fingertip control.
A 2 ½-inch fixed transmitter antenna eliminates the threat of a lost or broken antenna while delivering up to 1 mile range.
PRO 550 Handheld. PT 10 Dog Device. 3/4 inch Black Collar Strap. AC Adapter. Split Adapter Cable. Charging Clip. Contact Point Set With Wrench. Manual
Reviews From Real Customers
This trainer was excellent (5 stars) until the antenna inexplicably broke less than three months into owning the unit. It had great range and never really had to go over level four. Instead of a tone I’d prefer a vibration button as a warning instead.
It’s not feasible to turn the dial 180 degrees to get to vibrate. I also feel the antenna was poorly designed from the outset as it’s a separate piece and was wobbly to start. It made me wonder how waterproof it was as well.
It should be one solid piece. Overall it’s an excellent trainer that works well if it doesn’t break. So many trainers use it that I’d recommend different colors or hand engrave it so you don’t mix it up at the dog trainer sites.
I actually created an account on Chewy to leave this review. I have been using this e-collar for two years, and all I can say it is incredible. I have read other reviews, and concluded that frankly others don’t understand how to use an e-collar.
The collar is designed to offer graded stimulation, with only one setting for vibrate and tone. If you feel uncomfortable using an e-collar and only want a vibrate feature, save your money and buy a cheap collar.
However, if you really want a durable, effective, and elegantly simple-to-use e-collar this is the one. I love that there are no LED screens to try to read in the sunlight. The spinning dial is super easy to adjust in the midst of training sessions and in the field.
The range is great, and I have never been out of touch with my dog (a pretty big-ranging German Shorthaired Pointer). The toggle to other collars is also really easy and simple (by the way, you can get multiple collars from GARMIN that work with this transmitter.
Do not buy a duplicate transmitter just to get an extra collar. ) I love that I can turn the running lights on when I let my dog out at night. The only aspect of this collar I have not utilized in the bark collar feature.
Overall, I have found it to be absolutely worth the money and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a fairly serious training tool.
Dogs are den animals. Have you ever notice your dog always sleeping or relaxing under a table or in a corner, well the OxGord pet cage is the perfect solution to make your pet feel more secure and confident.
After they are acclimatized to the cage, they can treat it as their own hangout place and the cage is easy for you as well. Dimensions: 20″ x 13″ x 16″.
I’ve been searching for a 42” wire crate on which the front door (the one on the short side) hinges on your RIGHT and latches on your LEFT if you’re facing it. This is the only setup that will work for the space next to my bed, where my dog prefers her crate to be.
Garage door style or canvas crates won’t work for various reasons, and the crates aren’t vertically symmetrical so you can’t place it upside down, otherwise the carrying handle will get in the way and the tray won’t slide out.
The opposite (hinges on your left, latches on your right) is standard I assume because most of us are right-handed so it’s easier to latch and unlatch the door with our right hand. But where are the crates for lefties? Some of the product photos and even some of the reviewer photos show the front door in the configuration I wanted.
After checking with Chewy help for recommendations, they suggested this one, so I took it to mean this crate was sure to meet our needs. Nope! It arrived today and is configured just like other wire crates.
The front door hinges on the left and latches on the right, so it’s back to the drawing board. I’m rating this 3 stars because the crate seems fine, but transparency is important and this manufacturers photos misled me and the Chewy representatives.
I had bought this crate previously a few years ago and had been happy enough to buy it again. However, upon receiving this crate yesterday, the quality is night and day from then and now. My old crate was five years old and going strong.
The crate I received yesterday would be surprising if it lasted more than a month or two. It is flimsy and none of the bars line up as they should. I have a ten month old puppy who is already figuring out where she can squeeze out.
I’m going to attempt to reinforce the crate with steel zip ties as I need a crate now but I definitely do not recommend anyone to buy this.
I was looking for a medium size crate and didn’t realize until after it was delivered, that the description says “M/L”. It’s gigantic for our tiny puppy and small house. However, I need the kennel now, and don’t have the time to send it back and get a smaller one.
Plus, the regular size medium is out of stock anyways. It was shipped in the manufactures packaging with no additional box, and was pretty banged up. Metal walls are bent in weird ways, so not perfect but still keeps the dog locked up.
I had to bend some of the hooks for the side door because they weren’t even interlocked with the side panels. I would have gladly spent $30-40 more dollars to get a sturdier, better built one. Feel like I could have gone to Menards and bought the pieces to build one on my own.
Pawise Premium Dog Training Pad Holder helps keep training pads in one spot and protects your floors from accidents. The lock features double latches for extra reliability to secure the pad in place.
And the non-skid rubber feet insure that it wont leave scratches. Plus, the high polish finish makes cleaning a cinch. Features: Premium quality dog pad holder. Double latch closure locks securely in place.
Effectively contains pet messes and protects your floors.
We have two small dogs that can be fussy if the weather is really bad outside. For the most part, they do go outside, but for those occassions when they won’t go out we keep this out. Very convenient to to just take the top part off and throw away the dirty pad.
It locks into place also so pee doesn’t get all over the floor in cases when you don’t use something like this holder. Trust me on that! Also great if you are gone for extended amount of time so you know they don’t have to hold it.
The Pet Corrector emits a hiss of compressed gas (HFC 134a) which is completely safe for animals and produces a broad spectrum sound (white noise) varying from a low frequency rumble to a high frequency hiss to interrupt a dog’s unwanted behaviour.
The overall effect is to grab the attention of a dog. Dogs exhibit a wide range of reactions according to their hearing sensitivity and prior conditioning. Nevertheless, almost all dogs initially react to the Pet Corrector because the sound is genetically programmed to be associated with danger, such as from the hiss of a snake, an angry swan or the buzz of a dangerous insect.
Other Uses The Pet Corrector is not just for dogs. On Dr Mugford’s farm, one young horse has a playful (and cruel) tendency to chase and bite sheep. Another, enjoyed chewing post and rail fences. Both ‘misbehaviours’ can be interrupted, even from a distance, by the Pet Corrector.
Cats can misbehave too! The Pet Corrector can be used effectively to interrupt their stalking and catching birds and to stop them using furniture as scratching posts. The Holster does not come with a 50 ml canister.
This works very well if you know how to use it. It isn’t supposed to he used over and over line I’ve read it only lasts a like 10 sprays. When the animal does the unwanted behavior you spray a short burst in the air, use the word you are going to use like Stop or Don’t Jump and then once they’ve stopped you reward with them with “good boy.
” I don’t recommend using treats because they quickly will start thinking when they stop an unwanted behavior they get a treat. There are also different can sizes meant for different types of people.
Smaller for personal use, bigger for trainers or more than one animal. It isn’t supposed to he used over and over. If the animal doesn’t respond to it, then getting a trainer to help with what will work is a good idea.
It definitely isn’t meant to stop all unwanted behavior. Just the major ones. You can’t use it to stop the 10 different things your animal doesn’t like. He/she may see the can and stop when you use your verbal command you used when using the cam to start with.
That’s the goal. Not spraying it over and over. We use it for our Doberman puppy who’s almost anyway who barks and is Leary of people who come to the door and come in. We first taught sit. When someone comes to the door we said sit.
When she didn’t and was barking we did a short burst and said “stop. ” It stopped her in her tracks and she sat. When the person came in and she started barking and growling slightly we sprayed also while she’s on a short leash and said “stop” again.
Then told her to sit and used the words “it’s ok” and pet her and repeated it’s ok. She’s then allowed to sniff the person without them reaching towards her and she then realizes they aren’t a threat and licks their hand.
She then starts wagging her tail. She was the most shy in her litter and was bottle fed so her mom didn’t get the chance to teach her company is ok. It’s a learning process and we’re working on it, but with the help of a trainer we’ll move to off the leash next.
This may be the case where she does react like we want to the spray and will use it as long as needed. If your dog is still doing the behavior, but does react to the can, it’ll just take time and repeated correction and using the same vocal command is key.
That’s when you will be able to move to just using the vocal command and not have to spray every time. It’s not to be replaced with verbal commands forever. Only if your trainer recommends it. I strongly suggest using a trainer if it doesn’t work or they will only stop when you have to keep spraying the air can to get them to stop.
I initially purchased this as recommended by my trainer to teach my dog how to properly walk on a leash (my dog had a problem thinking leash time was actually tug of war). WELL, today on our walk my dog was doing great when we passed a green strip in our neighborhood and low and behold there was what appeared to be a dog walker with 4 dogs.
One of the smaller dogs escaped her grip and came running toward me and my puppy Doberman. I quickly stood in front of my dog and was able to grab the small dog by his collar and return him to his owner.
I carried on and no more than 2 minutes later I hear the woman screaming “get back here! Bad dog!” I turn around to see her husky and large fluffy white dog sprinting at me at full speed. I crossed the street in an attempt to get out of their line of vision and confirmed they were in fact chasing me and my dog.
I quickly turned around and without thinking utilized the pet corrector spray by spraying it in their direction and saying a loud and firm “STOP. ” Immediately the dogs halted in their tracks and I herded them back to their owner who was doing nothing but yelling “bad dog” at them (as if them being off leash is their fault).
The moral of the story is I don’t know what the dogs were going to do next! Jump on me? I’m only 5’ 2”! Bite my dog? He’s just a little puppy! Or worse bite me?! I don’t think they were aggressive but they were clearly over excited and out of control.
Thank God for the pet corrector spray! I will never take my dog on a walk again without it!!.

I finally got around to opening this and am quite disappointed. The parts that make up the orange circle don’t fit. After a lot of pushing and squishing, I was able to squeeze one end together, but I’ve been trying with no luck to fit the other end together.
I’m usually pretty good at assembly. Bummer. I’ll keep it and tape the pieces together to get it to work, but I can’t recommend.
Great purchase for the $ ! Just hearty enough for us to have something fun for the pups to learn/play. They are light tubing so after a storm, they are at a slight tilt and need to be reset in the ground.
The stakes on the bottom are solid but are not glued/attached to bottom blue tubing so if you wish to move the piece, you need to grasp the top of the stake to remove. The orange “hoop” comes in 2 pieces that do NOT fit well into one another — need some umpff in shoving one end into the other.
Had they gone in easily, set up would have been 3-4 minutes. 🙂 Am thinking of buying a 2nd. The height required for dog to jump thru hoop is only 10″-ish and it is wide enough for our 55lb labradoodles to easily pass thru.
Ergonomic design, comfortable to hold. Good training aid tool for your pets. Small enough to be hidden in your palm. Raised button design to activate the click. Develop your relationship with your pets through teaching and training them.
Wrist strap design. Great for training. Obedience/ HTM/ Agility.
The best time for a dog is the time he can playfully spend with you. Joint activities deepen the relationship and create trust. Dogs also want to be physically and mentally challenged, so they remain persevering and maintain their responsiveness and speed.
A meaningful challenge are intelligence games, which promote the activity of your dog and keep him fit. Fun is guaranteed – for both participants.
Inexpensive enough to get two sets for multiple configurations for training. great for both inside and outside set up. They are easy to pickup when a storm rolls in, because they will blow away! Not for hard use.
This was bought about 10 days ago and has been used about 6 times. It’s useful for what it is, however the poles are quite short, so that makes the jumps quite narrow. The poles are made up of 2 halves, that you slot together, however one of my sets has split at the join (and they defiantly weren’t forced).
Arrived quickly and in a nice canvas bag – very good for storage.
Got this set for my 6 month old puppy to keep her occupied when raining, its good quality and can be used for weaving training, Im no expert at agility but my pup is doing really well and enjoying using it.
It comes in a really good storage bag and stores away nicely.

Like all CP Toys, this set can easily be combined with other toys for greater fun. Contains Small Parts – Because this set contains small pieces, it is recommended for ages 4 and up. For reference, the larger doghouse is 4½”W x 4″H.
I bought this in September to save for a Christmas gift. My daughter opened it on Christmas morning and I was very disappointed. I received 9 dogs, 2 of the same dog house, and the dog tent. It seemed as though someone grabbed random pieces and threw them in the box.
The kids absolutely love this. It’s fun watching their imagination work. I love dogs, and have worn off on my daycare kids to be dog lovers as well. So this has been a big hit. It’s very well made, and has so many fun creative things to do with it.
Lots of little figures, and great selection of dogs. I got it at a great price too. About 70% less than what it retails for. So that was a plus. Although for as well as it’s made, I may have paid full price.
I know it will also for years to come. Now I want the cat set too! Highly recommend.
Trixie Pet Products Agility training is a healthy and enjoyable experience for pet owners and their dogs to share. It builds a dog’s fitness, mental skills, and confidence while also strengthening the bond between pet and owner.
With the broad assortment of agility products, you can set up courses customized for your dog’s unique skill and fitness level. Each piece of equipment can be used separately at first, then later combined into a complex training course.
In order to prevent injury and properly train your dog, the hurdle bar lies loosely in the supports instead of being attached. When not in use, it is fully collapsible for easy storage in our zippered nylon bag, included.
This is really simple to set up. You have to adjust the upright poles a bit further or closer together to get it just right so the crosspiece stays in their, but that’s easy enough to do. Adjusting the height of the bar is as simple as flipping open a latch, raising or lowering the bar, then closing the latch again.
My 65# Catahoula took to it right away and has a lot of fun jumping over it at all heights and sometimes with a toy in her mouth. My tween and teen kids even have fun jumping over it themselves! haha Hang on to the clear plastic pieces that are on the metal stakes so you can replace them before you put this set back into the storage bag.
Otherwise they’re going to poke holes in the bag. My only real complaint is, as others have said, there are no markings on the upright posts to help guide the height or leveling of the crossbar. Not a dealbreaker though.
Purchased these jumps to introduce my dog to the obstacle and use in the backyard. They are sturdy enough for low key use. Definitely not for anyone wanting a truly sturdy jump for competition. Very pleased with this purchase!.
This product is a lot of fun for my pups to jump over and under for nice interactive play with us. It is adjustable. Slightly flimsy but definetly fun and well priced. It does easily disconnect if your dog can’t jump over and bumps it, so it seems they really wouldn’t get injured.
For intermediate canine players. Designed especially for small dogs Flip lids using knobs Slide disks to side Lift up cones note that design prevents cones from being knocked over they must be lifted straight up to remove Vary number and placement of treats to increase level of difficulty Dogs are very playful and intelligent animals.
Channel their energy and curiosity into something positive with trixie’s flip board. It is ideal for the intermediate canine gamer. The game rewards your pet for correctly opening the various compartments.
To begin, place your dog’s favorite treats in any or all of the compartments. By correctly sliding the covers or lifting the flaps and cones, the rewards will be revealed for your dog’s enjoyment. Due to our unique design, the cones cannot be knocked over.
They must be lifted straight up to be removed. Vary the number and placement of treats to increase the level of difficulty. The non-slip rubber rim keep the game in place as your dog explores. Dishwasher safe.
I bought this for my cats. Our dog is a Greyhound who is way too big for this puzzle. We have three Bengal cats. The Alpha cat (Zhumer) is VERY food motivated. He got all the treats out of this the third day we set it up for him, after being shown how to do it.
The third cat in the pecking order (Bandit) figured out how to open doors that have a lever handle, but he doesn’t have the patience for this. The middle cat in the pecking order (Soft As Mink) doesn’t care about treats, so she has NO interest.
Since a cat can’t grab the blue towers with its mouth, we need to leave those a bit slanty and not all the way into the holes where they fit, so the cat can knock over with paw or face. Instructions for assembly are NOT included, so human user needs to figure out.
I finally managed to get the clear tower locked in place, but I’m not sure how I did that. Description should include SIZE of dog for which this is intended (I’m guessing around 20 pounds maximum).
I almost gave up Using activity boards because my dog is honestly too smart (Aussie/heeler) and he would do them in 30 seconds so I didn’t like wasting money. this one actually engages him and makes him think a little bit.
It took him 5 minutes or less to do this one but that’s a lot longer than others have! He loves it! The frenchie likes it as well and does ok with it, but the part where the pieces slide are too far down for his fat flat face.
He can’t reach the treats in that part. And he’d ratherJust chew on all the pieces. I also accidentally had it on autoship by itself and just messaged Chewy to see if I can return the second one as I had no use for two.
They replied right away and said they would refund the second one. The refund even included the shipping cost as it was shipped by itself!.
My 1. 5 year old golden loved this puzzle. He enjoyed the sliders he’d previously mastered from a previous puzzle and was fascinated & quickly figured out how to manipulate the little doors, and enjoyed doing so repeatedly.
I LOVED that this washed beautifully on the top rack of the dishwasher. In the future, I’d only buy a game that is dishwasher safe because it is very difficult to get the slobber & all the soap off the other puzzles, so I am 100% sold on that feature alone.
CONS – I was disappointed to find that the lift off cones were not a good size for him, so we didn’t use them at all. They may might be okay for a medium size dog but they are definitely a choking hazard for a large, full size puppy who thinks every oddball item is for ingesting.
Perhaps the cones could be larger or attached with something durable and relatively safe, not sure what….

I think that this item is great. My wife and I did 20 mins with our dog this afternoon and she was flat out by the end of it. It’s a really good interactive workout between you and your dog, and you can practice various commands at the same time if you want.
The hoops do get tooth marks in them straight away, but this is expected with this kind of material, and it’s just more evidence that they aren’t damaging for your dogs teeth. If my dog were to sit and chew on these they wouldn’t last very long, however that isn’t what they have been made for, so i would recommend putting them between workouts.
The hoops are sturdy, my dog is very strong, but after she has stopped putting on it the hoop goes back to its original round shape. I bought the standart size for my 20kg Staffy X Husky, because she is quite strong and has a big mouth with big teeth, so i thought that it would be more appropriate than the next size down.
I’ve had a blast playing with these with my pup. He’s not the most enthusiastic fetcher, but he chases them when I roll them. They’re easy for him to pick up. He LOVES playing tug with them, and- wait for it- so do I! The rings are nice and soft on my hands so I can actually get into a good game of tug without worrying about my hands getting sore or pinched.
Only thing is, after only a couple days’ use they are already covered in tooth punctures, some really big/deep. My dog is a 60lb ridgeback mix for reference. The rings seem to be holding up fine, but for the love of all things holy do not let your dog lie down and have a chew on them.
The rings will not survive and you will have wasted your money. BUT they’re wicked fun and I highly recommend them- especially if your dog is super toy motivated!!.
Mine is a largish shepherd dog who easily destroys most toys. We had a set of these rings for more than 3 months, with at least an hour of running after them daily. The dog loves them. It’s so much easier to train my dog when he can see these toys.
They float and when he drops them into the ocean the next wave brings them back. It’s so much fun to see how he manages to catch both toys at the same time, or runs around with both rings in his mouth, to ensure other dogs do not pick up his toys.
The rings withstood quite a few tugs-of-war with put bulls (who are surprisingly attracted to this toy) before today yet another tug-of-war ended up with a ring pulled apart. I’m ordering a new set immediately.

Generally, a clicker is a clicker. But I do like the clickers that have a button like this for anyone who has hand mobility issues, or for people just beginning with clicker training as it is often easier to get precise timing with a button instead of the standard box clickers.
I do prefer the Click-R by petsafe for the elastic finger loop on the back, but I coulnd’t find that one to review on here. I own 3 of this starmark clickers (I’m a dog walker and trainer,) and I do like how this one feels in my hand, but I find it can slip out of place somewhat easily in larger hands, and I wish it came with a wrist strap.
But i do appreciate that there is a hole in it so that you can add a strap to it yourself or put it on a keychain (which I prefer. ) Quick PSA: Clicker training is definitely the way to go for any dog owner or trainer.
Dominance theory (like caesar millan preaches) was debunked and disproven in the 90’s and is super harmful and just wrong. If you own a dog, or want one, you owe it to yourself, your pet or future pet to treat them well and keep yourself updated on current training techniques weather that be positive reinforcement (what i believe is best for most cases) or balanced training (for more difficult cases.
I have three rescued dogs which are on electric fence and learn very quickly. This clicker has helped me train two of my older dogs in some special commands. It hasn’t taken any longer, and sometimes shorter training repetitions than the instruction and videos demonstrate.
My third dog showed stress in using the clicker,as it is loud, but I still use the training techniques on him. Item and website are useful tools. I’m glad I found this product.
I have two 3 month old Mini Schnauzer puppies. As soon as I got the clicker and some training treats I used the clicker. Right away it was working with the puppies. The female was especially hard to get to come to me.
She learned right away what the clicker meant. I am definitely using this as a continued training tool. It is very well made and the sound is loud and clear.

This dog agility training kit includes a sturdy carrying bag that’ perfect for taking your set on the go to the park or just to the backyard.
I recently bought these great dog agility hurdles, not for my dog, but for MYSELF. As a track athlete (sprinter) living in a colder climate during Covid, I wasn’t looking forward to training outside during another long winter.
I set these up in my basement and use them regularly to enhance flexibility and mobility. For my purposes, they work as well as actual track hurdles, arrived quickly, and cost a fraction of the price.
I have astro turf so I wanted an agility set that stood up on its own without having to be staked into the ground – this does this job well. It is a bit flimsy, but good enough for a bit of fun with your dog in the garden.
It is also light enough to transport, although it fits very snug in its bag so careful re-packing is needed. It is very easy to put up and because the jump poles just sit on the jump supports, they can easily be taken off to change your activity to weaving.
The jump supports fit well and are fully adjustable to the height required. The other good thing about the jump poles sitting, rather than being fixed, is that if your dog knocks them going over, they won’t hurt themselves because they will just fall to the floor; they are also light enough not to cause damage from impact.
The downside to this being so lightweight is that the poles will fall off in a gust of wind as the supporting poles aren’t very sturdy. It would be ideal for indoor use. All in all it is a reasonable purchase for having fun with.
Perfect jumps! I love the size, very standard. The measurements on the side poles are awesome to know the right heights. I also really like they sit in jump cups so the bars fall if bumped by the dog which is a good safety feature.

I haven’t actually finished reading this book yet, but I’m already very impressed with their knowledge and translation with easy to understand and follow principles. It should have a different title as it doesn’t do it justice.
It’s so much more than just training. With so many dog ‘experts’, especially American, it is great to see Aussies bring a basic, common sense approach to dog ownership obligations. It covers information such as breed selection and the avenues available to purchase a dog or puppy, which is so important.
Anyone contemplating a dog should read this first. Too many people rush into the process which often leads to re-homing or worse. Also good to retain in the bookcase as a ‘go-to’ for any stage of dog ownership.
We got a puppy more quickly than we had planned (read not a lot of pre-planning or set up) and this book was an absolute lifesaver in helping us set up our puppy for success. It is easy to read and easy to put into practice straight away.
A really accessible combination of theory and practice which helps you to understand both what to do to support your dog and stay sane and also why you are doing it! Would highly recommend (preferably before you bring your puppy home but would be useful to any dog owner!).
I would’ve given this book 5 stars but it lost a stars for me because there is no index. There are great tips and advice but it’s very frustrating when you have to flick through the entire book again to reread information.
Makes it a lot less user friendly! I think the purpose of this sort of book is to use it as a guide and revisit and reread information when needed, but a book needs an index to do that!!!!.
It consists of a feed container and a release button with signal sound. The dog has to press the release button with paw or nose to make treats fall out of the feed container. Once the dog has understood that container and release button belong together, the distance between them can be increased up to 40 m.
This is great! Button has choice of sounds and can be floor or wall mounted and amount of biscuits dispensed can be adjusted to your preference. My dog loves it but he is not as clever as I thought and training him is proving quite difficult.
He absolutely loves the whole thing and gets excited as soon as he sees it but he just cannot work out that he needs to press on the button and not just sniff it. However he has managed to accidentally press the button afew times now and he has been reliably rewarded by the machine.
Now I only need to persevere with my 3 year old Pom to make it a complete success.
This unit had all the hallmarks of being a returned product. One of the main unit battery compartment screws is impossible to turn or remove. However I was able to open it and found that the battery compartment already had Duracell batteries in – not the type of battery you would find installed even if batteries were included (they weren’t).
Because the unit worked and because I was able to overcome the issue with the screw, I kept it. However I note in previous reviews that this issue with the screws in the battery compartment is not a new issue.
This Mini K9FITbone pet balance platform from FitPAWS is an excellent accessory for exercising your dog and improving its strength, balance, and flexibility. The balance trainer offers a fun way of instability training, helping you bond with your dog.
With this training platform, you can teach them new skills and strengthen the core, the powerhouse of your dog’s body. Both small and large dogs can train their entire body in a fun way with the K9FITbone.
The PVC material used is of professional quality, with good grip and resistant to damage from dog nails. The K9FITbone has sensory nodes for brain stimulation. The training is also a great way to reduce stress, burn excess calories, and it’s also a healthy “job” for your dog.
The challenge can be adjusted by pumping in less or more air. The pump is included.
We got this balance bone for our 2 German wirehaired pointers – about 65-70 lbs. They have fairly long leg spans so we went with the giant for our male and the regular size for our female. Both however work on both bones.
Our female had TPLO surgery and we noticed in agility class that she would have some shakiness on some of the equipment so we are working with her core. For our other dog, it is just fun and he needs lots of engagement so this is a nice way to do it.
I struggled a bit pumping it up but once a bit more inflated was great. The extra nubby side is not a hit with our dogs just yet but we will keep trying.
So far, this have been super helpful to have at home for doing physical therapy exercises with our pup that suffered some nerve damage during surgery for hip dysplasia. It comes with little exercise instructions too which is nice.
The product came to us quickly and with no issues, besides missing a small part that comes with the pump. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because it seems the needle part fell out of the packaging pretty easily before it was shipped to us (ziplock bag was open).
And because of how pricey the item is. Still, all in all, great purchase and grateful to have for our pet. We have a 70 lb doggo btw, and she does not fit standing on this with all 4 paws. So if you have a large breed dog, and want them to be able to fit all four paws on it, one on each curved part of the bone shape, I would suggest buying the giant FitBone instead.
I bought this to use as part of my mini dachshund’s physical therapy program. It’s the perfect size for working with a a dog of her dimensions (14 inches long). I tried to use balance discs for humans with her, but even 13 or 14 inch diameter discs were too short.
This has plenty of room for her to stand completely on it, sit, lay down, etc. The nubby and smooth side provide different levels of challenge. You can also adjust the inflation to vary the difficulty.
