Hair dye didn’t lift at all. My hair is dark brown/black. Turned my roots bright ginger so have had to spend another £26 on this site for different dye that I know actually works. I just didn’t want to have to bleach it.

And thought this would be so good. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

This product does work ,but next time I order I will get 2. as my hair is long and thick. The only fault ,, there was no nozzle with application bottle. But as I said I will be ordering from this site again and not to long to wait for arrival and I reside in Ireland.

I received this hair dye to trial as part of the Beauty Review Crew. I have used this brand of hair dye a few times over the past couple years. In particular, I have used the shade ‘Darkest brown’ which is the same shade I’m trialing today.

The shade has always been is a lovely vibrant colour and the colour result is similar to my natural hair colour. The dye promises to 100% grey hair coverage and it lives up to its promise. Preparing the dye for application is nice and easy.

After applying the gloves that are included in the packaging, you pour the colour formula into the bottle of developer before placing the lid back on and shaking the bottle until completely mixed. It’s that easy! Then starting at the roots, you evenly apply the dye.

The dye goes on smoothly and, surprisingly, the dye scent isn’t as strong as other brands. Other brands tend to have a strong chemical smell which makes my eyes water and nose tingle when breathing it in.

Clairol have done a great job at producing a hair product with a low scent. One of the best things about Clairol’s nice n’ easy hair dyes is the short processing times. Unlike other brands that have a processing time of upwards to an hour to reach your desired shade, these dye have an average processing time of just 25 minutes.

The short processing time means you can dye your hair during your lunch break, before a night out, or before a date, without it taking up too much of your time. The rinsing process is also quite a smooth and easy process.

After applying some warm water, give your hear/head a little massage and then rinse until the water runs clear from all the dye. It normally takes around two minutes for the water to run clear. Then using the conditioning Clairol conditioning treatment that comes with the hair dye, you apply from roots to tips and leave for a couple minutes before rinsing.

The conditioning treatment has a lovely scent and is nice and thick. It’s almost like applying a luxurious hair mask. It glides onto the hair smoothly and evenly. After rinsing the conditioning treatment you can instantly feel how hydrated you hair feels.

Dying your hair often dehydrates it and your hair can feel a little worse for wear. Clairol’s hair dyes are gentle on your hair and the conditioning treatment prevents damage and keeps your hair hydrated and feeling lovely.

After towel-drying my hair, I blow-dried my hair until was dry. Looking in the mirror you could instantly see how vibrant and lovely the hair colour result was, and it looked and felt really healthy.

I am always so very impressed with the results every time and I often get compliments from friends and family members. As my hair grows fairly quickly, I use this product every 2-3 months to help cover grey hairs.

Despite dying my hair so regularly, my hair has remained healthy and manageable, and hasn’t compromised my hair in any way. The only downside I can mention is that the dye stains your skin. Normally hair spray or acetone on a cotton ball or cotton pad helps remove hair dyes from skin but I found this dye to be lot stronger and barely budged from the skin.

I also tried scrubbing with soap and dishwashing detergent but the dye only faded slightly. It took a few days of scubbing before the dye faded completely. The best thing of all about Clairol’s Nice n’ Easy hair dyes are they cost just $9 from your local supermarket.

Sometimes, you can grab them on special for just $6! SIX BUCKS! Now that’s what you call a bargain! Why pay $200+ t an expensive hairdresser when you can get almost the same results for just $9.

I received Medium Chestnut Brown as part of the review crew. My hair is dyed medium brown over grey/white and is a few inches below my collarbones. It’s fine and flat with a slight wave immediately after air drying but this falls out quickly, it’s also horribly frizzy.

I found the instructions easy to follow and the dye easy to use although I did find I’d missed some areas which is unusual for me. I was using this on about 1 inch of grey roots, apart from where I’d missed it covered it well although it’s lighter on those grey areas and the other areas are now darker.

This means my roots are still visible although not grey and it would be good if the colour guide also showed the outcome on grey or white hair. I don’t usually see the roots so evident with other home colour I’ve done.

However the colour on the roots is nice and I might keep using this to get all my hair to a lighter colour. I didn’t notice that the smell was better or worse than other brands I’ve used and I had no adverse reaction on my scalp.

I wasn’t able to see a blend of tones and highlights although I did like the colour on both the grey and dyed areas. My hair felt soft after using and easy to comb. After a few further washes I’ve not see much fade or loss of condition.

Overall this Is a good dye for home colouring with good grey coverage although I feel I need to be more attentive when I use it. It’s a good price too.

As the cost of everything rises I have gone down to bi-monthly hair visits and have been colouring my roots in between. I have stuck to two main brands the past year so I was excited to trial clairols Nice n Easy to see how it compares! The new packaging is pleasing and clear on what it delivers.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the scent wasn’t overbearing whilst I applied this to my roots. It mixed very well in the applicator bottle and was so easy to apply. The gloves fit well and I waited the appropriate time until rinsing off.

The colour rinsed off well and the conditioner was lovely. I decided to let my hair air dry for the best and most accurate review on colour, shine and coverage of greys. So the colour match was great, it definitely covered my grey roots and my hair was a little dry on the ends but nothing a good leave in conditioner can’t fix! I like that this dye did what it said and was not gimmicky or over priced compared to competitors.

A solid budget buy option if you prefer colouring hair at home. It may dry your hair out if used frequently so a good quality conditioner for coloured hair would be a must alongside this product.

I tried this for the first time recently and it’s my favorite blue-black yet. The color comes out beautifully. Only thing is if your hair is already dark, it comes out DARK. Still, I love it, and the price is great! Very satisfied, totally recommend it.

Ive used this brand of permanent hair dye twice and while the color is very deep and lasts a long time, I think the colors go on very flat. It takes my hair about 3 weeks for it to look more dimensional and shiny.

I don’t know what it is about it. Also, colors go on a lot darker than you think but as time goes on it fades into the color you initially thought it’d be.

I am not kidding when I say that everyone I knew exclusively used this for at home touch ups, aside from a few friends who are hairdressers and would go to Sally’s for their stuff. But even one of my best friends whose mom is a hairdresser only used this.

If the topic was box dye, this was mentioned. So it doesn’t make any sense to me (I know my world is small in the grand scheme of the entire world) that it could have not done well enough to have to discontinue it.

I certainly never knew anyone who chose the cheaper buttercream hair dye option, and now that it has keratin in it, I literally cannot use it. Keratin is becoming so annoying of an ingredient because yes it’s important and it makes up our hair, but not everyone can tolerate hair treatments or any products with added keratin.

Especially if they’re already heavy on hair protein. My hair breaks. So, please bring this back. It was the perfect box dye. Discontinuing it just made 2020 even more sad. When I had to inform certain friends that it was discontinued, it felt like just another 2020 thing we had to accept but it’s 2021 now and we want it back.

I LOVE this dye! I have used the regular Revlon ColourSilk before and wasn’t so impressed. The buttercream version is great! I have been dying my hair a lot over the last 5 years and I stopped bleaching it over a year ago and since have been trying to treat it better and not dye it so much.

however it is still in quite a bad condition. My colour had faded loads and gone very brassy so I decided to dye my hair black. I used the 10N Black shade. The product was very easy to manage and went through my hair easily compared to other dyes I have used.

I have hair down to my bra strap so I bought 2 boxes. However I only needed to use one which was amazing! Even when my hair was shorter I normally needed 2 boxes so I was very happy with how far the product went! It smells lovely and washes out really easily.

I had cleaned my bath the day before so was a bit gutted that I was going to wreck it with hair dye but there were absolutely no stains! There were a few stains on my neck but nothing major and they look like they will fade in a few days.

Without a doubt, Bigen has saved me from many. It is a product that does not damage your skin. It is a natural dye so that beautiful. I use it for eyebrow pigmentation and it works incredibly for me.

It is one of the best products that I have tried, nothing harmful, the pigmentation lasts on the skin for 2 weeks and in the hair it lasts more than 5 months.

This is my favorite coloring product. It doesnt smell like strong chemicals when you use it. And if youre just coloring again to refresh your hair then you dont even need a whole bottle. Its inexpensive and it smells good, and it works.

Black brown is now my go-to after I used the jet black one for a couple of years. Black brown definitely looks black but just without that fake look you get with jet black even if you have naturally almost-black hair like mine.

This hair color is my absolute favorite. It doesn’t smell. You mix the powder with water and apply. That is it. It covers grey really well and it leaves my hair so shiny. It doesn’t damage your hair like the others.

The package arrived pretty fast and I couldn’t wait to try it on. As I have a medium/long hair and light brown, I had to use both of the packages. It’s very easy to use and mix it at home and the smell is more than beautiful.

After 40 minutes, I rinsed the hair and applied the conditioner which by the way, made miracles on my hair. After I dried it, the true colour came out and I can say it’s amazing. I expected to a purple/pink and I wouldn’t liked that but the results are more than awsome.

I already recommended it to my friends and for sure I will keep using Syoss.

I bought the color mahogany brown. And wow, so amazed with the results. Easy to apply at home. I dont need to spent alot of money in salon anyway.

I tested this paint and it left a pleasant impression on this paint. the hair remained pleasant to the touch, has a pleasant smell and the color is as expected.

I received this product and was eager to trial it. There’s nothing quite like a colour touch up to make you feel a little more refreshed and energised! The product was super easy to use and everything needed was contained in one compact box.

I followed the directions with ease and all progressed to plan. The end result was reasonably true to the desired colour although my hair did end up more orange than I had anticipated. I accept this can happen with hair colours because there are so many factors that contribute to the end result.

The hair colour did address my primary concern – covering the dreaded greys! The smell was not offensive as can happen with some brands and I liked the fuss free application process. A major benefit is the convenience of doing this at home at a time that suits me and a cost that is budget friendly! I have had my colour now for a week and the colour at this stage is still looking fresh with great coverage.

I would suggest that anyone with thick hair or very long hair should invest in two packets and not chance a dye disaster!! I have long hair but it is very thin so one packet for me was sufficient. Overall – I will be using this product again!.

Staff Review by BC’s Tamara I’m not going to lie – I have greys. Lots of them. But the Clairol Nice’n Easy Permanent Hair Dye did a mighty fine job of making them disappear! I have actually used this dye in the past, and can’t recommend it enough.

The range of colours on offer is wonderful as there is something there for everyone. I have dull brown hair, so usually opt for a warm shade to brighten my colour – I used the Medium Chestnut Brown 5RB.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow and after spending 10 mins applying the product as thoroughly as I could, it took a simple 25 minutes to penetrate before washing it out and conditioning.

The colour completely covered my greys (which was my main objective), but overall my hair looks so much healthier as it is shiny and the colour has more life to it. My favourite thing about this dye is that the colour brings out the natural highlights I have and it looks really natural.

At $12. 99 the Clairol Nice’n Easy is a bargain as it is a high quality product and I would recommend it!.

It also has an optimal color blend formula and ultra-hydrating cream conditioner. The 3D Color Gel Technology is a liquid gel colorant for multi-tonal results from root to tip and the ultra-hydrating cream conditioner is known o highly nourish hair after color application and provide shine, care and frizz control.

The package contains 1 ammonia free colorant, 1 cream color developer, 1 after-color conditioner and 1 application instructions. Personally, I followed the instructions on the manual step-by-step. I wanted to do it correctly because I haven’t dyed my hair in a few months.

I received the color “soft black”, and to my surprise, I loved it as a final result. I made sure to test this product 48 hours before dying my hair to see if I was allergic to it. All in all, I enjoyed dying my hair at home, and I would highly recommend this product, Revlon ColorSilk Permanent Hair Dye, to my family and friends that are interested in dying their hair at home.

Shopping for an at-home dye kit can be a daunting experience. When every box on the shelf over-promises luxe, salon-worthy locks that will sparkle like diamonds, it’s easy to overlook Revlon’s no-frills packaging.

Don’t be fooled by the simple packaging or too-good-to-be-true pricepoint: this is hands down the best product on the shelf. I’ve used various shades from the black / brown end of the spectrum and am amazed every time at the coverage, ease of use, and (most importantly) the results.

The results truly match the sample swatches on the box. If you’ve dyed your hair black before, you know box dyes sometimes have a tendency to lean blue / purple. I assure you, Colorsilk Black 10 is a TRUE black.

No undertones whatsoever. Other things I love about this product: there is ZERO harsh or unpleasant chemical smell (the only at-home dye I’ve ever been able to use in the bathroom with the door closed and no fan on).

The inevitable skin staining came out right away with just a bit of soap and water. Oh, and the conditioner packet they give you is liquid gold. I would seriously consider buying a box just for the conditioner if my hair ever needs a “pick me up.

During covid lockdown I didn’t know what to do with our growing hair as my husband and myself was unable to go to a hairdresser. I had just purchased a new good hair shaver to keep my husbands hair and beard looking good but what could I do? One evening I had the idea to actually shave my hair off with number 2 attachment.

I had previously bought and loved this product so I then sprayed my hair all over with this steel blue spray. I had a doctors appointment the next morning so I boldly walked in with my super short steel blue hairdo.

Both my doctor and the nurses raved about how good I look. I have even got stopped several times and asked what colour was I using. At 73yrs old I feel really funky this is an amazing product which not only colours my hair but also colours my scalp which makes for even coverage.

The great thing too is my hair is so easy to maintain and I don’t have to use creamy messy colours.

I was hoping for this to provide a color similar to the purple shade on the bottom part of the label. I was startled when I opened this and found a thin liquid (as compared with typical shampoo) which was an unpleasant-looking reddish-brown.

Honestly it looked about like cherry cola or kind of the color of dried blood. Definitely not ‘lilac’ or even a hint of purple tone that I could see. I came here and read reviews before using it. I’m glad I did.

many mentioned the unexpected shade and that they used it and did not get the results they were looking for. I did try a small test area of hair at the ends and it definitely didn’t magically change to ‘lilac’ in color, more of a cherry brown.

It would have been a disaster on my lightened blonde hair. Since this was expensive and is not the way it was described or labeled, I’ll be returning this for sure.

For some reason it won’t let me select the color I used. I have this in magenta. When I tested the color I was pleased that it had more of a purple than red tint. It says to leave it in your hair for 20 to 40 minutes but I’ve worked with fantasy colors for decades and usually leave them in for 3 to 4 hours.

My first run through I left it in for 40 minutes and my hair is a level 11 to 12. The color that came out I was too embarrassed to even take a picture of. It was splotchy and a beautiful dark magenta in places and then a pukey pink color everywhere else.

Even if I had you to protein filler it still would not have applied the color correctly. It’s a super thick formula that is hard to spread but it does look beautiful in the balls shiny and bright. I actually ended up using another tube which is insane because my hair is not that long.

It also smells like a wet dog and it’s hard to get that smell out of your hair. Bottom line there was nothing I liked about this formula or the color. I immediately start doing olive oil soaps and Dawn dish soap to pull as much color as I could out.

It fades super bright. I’ve already managed to get it to at least a bright bubblegum pink color. I am however planning to remove it with a bleach bath. I’ve never really been a big fan of ion colors to begin with but I got this for free from a friend so I decided to try it.

I will stick with punky colors as is my favorite.

Alright, Summer Hair Hair, and she was a Beaute! Couldn’t have asked for prettier summer hair. So what did we work with? Well, alot, let’s run down the list: -Iroiro: Seafoam, Aqua, Neon Yellow (not pictured) -Ion: Cyan (mixed with Aqua) -L’OREAL Effasol Color Remover -Select Care 10 Clear Developer First, Iroiro is everything, it’s about 2x better than Artic Fox at a slightly cheaper price.

Ion is so-so, but man, do they have some AMAZING colors, just wish they would fix the crappy formulas. But they’re cheap, so, you get what you pay for. The color remover, TOP TIER the ONLY color remover I will EVER use.

I almost find it better and safer for at home use than bleach. Non-pros have to order it on Amazon, but it’s worth it ladies and gentlemen. The the developer is developer. As for how long this lasted.

Iroiro last the longest out of all of them. I do little to maintain longevity in my hair because I love changing it (as you can see) but so far it’s been 8 weeks(?). so try and guess which picture is the 3 week one (lol, it’s not a hard guess, lol, and little secret, I have done nothing to extend it, literally nothing).

I love the color choices in the Ion line. I am current trying out the brilliance line to see if it has more staying power. I currently am using this color and the Fuscia Permanent Hair Dye. While I absolutely love the color choices, I hate how fast I have to re-color.

My hair does grow fast, but not three weeks fast. I will have at least 2-3 inches of root growth that needs to be touched up. Most especially around my ears and temples. Does this compare to Wella? No, however it is always troublesome to find my color choices in the Wella lines at my local Sally’s.

I find myself either going to 2 stores, or nabbing all they have when I can find them. Great Colors, dull and needing re done way too fast.

Fanola’s range of colours is extremely impressive while some products (no yellow range) really should come with a warning label their diverse colour range is that of high end colours. Ratio mixing with appropriate developers for long lasting Demi-Permanents and full grey coverage permanents Their.

1 (ash range) recommended only to tones on existing level not to counteract warmth while lightening.

Great colour. Mixed this with the silver toner and used this on my roots then added the 9. 11 with silver toner on my ends which gave me the exact silver/grey colour I’ve been after for a while. Will be ordering more.

I ended up getting the 11. 2 platinum pearl and the 12 super platinum blonde colors and oh my goodness I love love love them! I will be ordering those colors again! My hair turned out fabulous and so did my neighbors hair.

I definitely recommend this color line. I’ve used pretty much every color line out there from Redken, to Wella, Schwartzkov, Framesi, Kenra, Joico. I do love all of those brands but Fanola is definitely my favorite for lifting with just color not bleach.

I recently began dying my hair naturally brown hair with henna. I used the henna guys previously and would have to do the two step process (4 hrs of henna followed by 4hrs of indigo) in order to achieve dark results.

It was so time consuming! I began looking for other products and came across this one and I am so glad I did!! I was pleasantly surprised on how fast this henna worked and how dark it got my hair in 60 minutes! My hair never turned this shade with the other henna.

It doesn’t turn it jet black like chemical hair dyes, but rather a beautiful soft black that looks so natural. I’m in love and so happy that it’s 100% all natural. You don’t have to worry about putting harmful chemicals on your scalp/hair.

The only thing is a few of my grays were not covered completely. Maybe I have to leave it on longer next time. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for an all natural dark hair dye!.

I have tried many henna combinations, that usually don’t work. I’m 53 and my hair became very grey from lack of coloring. I was born with jet black hair and decided to try this product and I’m so glad I did.

It covered most of my greys in 120 minutes. I think with one more touch up process soon, it will be just where I want it. The smell is not over powering like most henna products are. I have sensitivities to just about everything, but this did not cause any itching or discomfort.

It rinsed out nicely without the henna crumbs still stuck in my hair. I’m very happy with my results and will definitely purchase again!! Thank you!.

I have been using chemical hair colors for over 10 years now and was always thinking to discontinue when I get a great organiz product. I have tired henna and indigo powder previously but never got a great coverage like this product.

Henna and indigo powder leaves a heaviness in the hair after wash due to no shampoo and I was aware of it. but this product was better than all other organic natural products I have tried before. Great great coverage and doesn’t fade away after couple of washes.

I decided to continue using this. Love it.

I tried this. At first I was so excited to die my hair with this product. I knew that if I was going to like it I was gonna leave my hair this color permanently afterwards. The color did not even change I didn’t even notice the brightness and read of my caller probably because my hair was pretty dark.

I would use it again because I’m tired of permanently dying my hair sometimes. This this is still a good product I would recommend this to pretty much anyone.

This is my go to hair coloring product. The color lasts a long time and covers my grays. I have used other brands but always come back to this one . I have used this product for about 5 years now.

I had put my hair light-medium blonde hair through three days of hell trying to remove a permanent toner that turned my hair a dull gray. Soap cap, baking soda, dandruff shampoo, dishwashing liquid, color remover—you name it.

By the time I was done, my hair was orange. I tried to correct it by putting a dark blonde color over it, but it was still brassy with plenty of red/orange tones. In despair, I drove to the local Walgreen’s and purchased a box of Garnier Extra Light-Ash Blonde 111 (White Chocolate,) hoping that the ash color would take care of the brass.

I applied it, left it on for 30 minutes and prayed. After rinsing and applying the after-color mask, I was ecstatic to see that my hair was a light beige blonde with slightly darker and lighter tones.

I will most likely have to use a purple shampoo to keep the cooler tone of my hair, but I am totally ok with that. I know that there are a lot of negative reviews on here comparing the older formulation to the new, but this was perfect for me.

I can’t believe how soft and shiny my hair is, because it literally looked and felt like straw before using this hair color. A total winner and a total lifesaver. Best box hair color I’ve ever used.

I tried out the Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color Crème in a light brown shade. I have naturally dark brown hair with auburn tint in my hair, so I wanted to go a little lighter brown for the summertime.

The kit has everything you need and is super easy to use/apply, which I appreciate as other dyes can be quite difficult to use. It also wasn’t messy at all, which is a huge plus for dying hair in an apartment.

I loved how healthy it made my hair feel after dying, like so smooth and silky. It’s now been three weeks since and my hair is still feeling really healthy. However, the dye color didn’t work on me at all.

You can not even tell I dyed my hair unless I am in the sun, then you can see some highlights that look kind of light !but barely. If anything, it made my hair a little more red tinted than it naturally is, which is kind of strange.

I probably should have used bleach before using this, but the box had a picture of what my hair color would look like after using the dye and it was close enough to the color I wanted. Either this dye isn’t very pigmented or my hair just didn’t take to it at all.

Either way, I have used this dye in the past and had positive results, so it might just be the color I chose this time around.

For years I’m using L’Oreal Superior Preference 9G Light Golden Blond hair color creme. Always excellent, true golden color-tone that lasts me 8 weeks. It was time to color my hair but I couldn’t find this product, so I decided to try Garnier Nutrisse color cream in the shade 93 Honey Butter which described as Light Golden Blond on the box.

Omg! The color turned out ashy (which I hate bc it reminds me of my grey hair) with some weird pink undertone. Whatever grey hair I had – they came out same grey without getting any coverage. The instructions are identical to my favorite L’Oreal color creme, so I couldn’t do anything wrong while using Garnier product.

Appled and waited for 25 minutes, then rinsed it. Eveen remaining true golden color on my hair from last coloring session disappeared and turned into ashy ugly color. I can’t wait now to get rid of it ASAP! I can’t belive this product works for other people.

Waste of time, waist of money, awful results.

This hair coloring product really works at covering coarse gray hair! It’s much gentler on my skin and doesn’t trigger my scalp to turn painful red and itch. Very pleased!

Honestly I would recommend this product! I have not heard of a product like this and I knew I needed to try. I was pleasantly surprised that the dye did not stain anything and the color left was exactly what I hoped for.

I would recommend this product.

amazing product! absolutely love it so easy to use and it is slot cheaper than alternatives iv used! i can say id put a different scent in future if i was to offer any advice but colour was perfect as expected and id one hundred percent buy this again!.

I purchased this product as a cost effective alternative to a product that was good but too expensive for the minimum quantity they offered. This hair dye product is more concentrated and therefore easily stretched to the consistency of my previous product with the same results.

In other words, I can make this product last longer for much less – Cha-Ching$$. As a mid-40’s guy, I use it to “fill in” a slightly receding hairline and my goatee (beard) for a natural look once visiting the barber (who is me).

I went to the gym this morning for my AM workout, 10 minute sauna and then showered and was careful not to aggressively rub the ‘colored’ area and lightly pat dry to preserve the coloring. The color appear to be holding up fairly well just be careful with handling it because they recommend using plastic gloves when handling and I know why – it stains easily.

I recommend placing an old towel over your application area to assure your countertops or sink basin does not get stained. This will be my “go-to” hair product secret weapon replacement and I will definitely purchase again.

If you’re looking for great bold colors than KISS semi permanent is for you. Their IG page have great color ideas. I have been using semi permanents since I was sixteen and I’m still a customer til this day.

I recommend this product to any parent who child wants to experience with colors in their had. My go to favorite is always reds and oranges. You can find this product at your local hair stores and probably some big retailers like Walmart and Target.

Works great. When putting it on it will look really dark like your beard is unreal. I learned to let it set for 15-30 minutes then rinse my beard with cold or warm water or even take a shower. After that everything looks normal black.

I use raw coconut oil on my face and beard and bam Im good to go out.

Great experience using this hair dye used for the first time on my hubby to cover his greys. Application was an ease preperation very straight foward. non drip so no mess applied well and the end result was all grey hair now gone his hair was left soft and shiny.

no bad reaction as we followed the test prior he was so happy i have purchased a couple boxes from this test.

This is a great hair colour. Very easy to apply. The end result is perfect. Hubby’s hair looked lovely and he loved it. Would highly recommend to others.

I initially tried a strand test on my silver hair by leaving it 1. 5 hours and it turned it a pleasant but subtle light golden. So the next time I used it, I applied it to all of my silver roots and left it for 3 hours, which gives a strong coppery golden blonde.

In future, I’ll probably try 2-2. 5 hours as I’d prefer something in between. The stained silver hair is shiny and healthy, unlike chemical dyes which leave it looking dull and cause a lot of hair to fall out.

This product is a mix of cassia and henna, but it contains no metallic salts so it didn’t have any negative effects on the ends of my hair which are dyed blonde using standard peroxide dye. Dyed blonde hair will absorb this product faster, so I made sure I only applied it to my ends in the last 30 minutes.

I shampooed my hair in the morning to get rid of oils and styling products, then towel dried it and later applied this cassia/henna mixture in the evening when I was relaxing. The downside of these products is they look like mud and leave your shower looking like a muddy dog was washed in there, but it’s worth it to have hair colour without losing so much hair.

I had dark roots with some greys and highlighted ends. I stopped colouring my hair 3 months ago just to be in a safe side because I knew that I will switch to henna. After doing a lot if research and reading hundreds of reviews I’ve decided to go with Flora and Faunas henna.

I used chamomile tea to mix the powder and it smelled beautifully of fresh cut grass. I found that I needed way more water than stated in the instructions as the paste was getting dense pretty quickly.

The application was super easy and not messe aylt all. Just like any hair dye. I kept the colour for about 3. 5 hours and rinsed. I felt straight away that my hair was softer. The colour was simply breathtaking; deep brown cooper on the roots and very vibrant light cooper on the ends.

After 3 days my hair has a very strong smell of hay but I love it because it reminds me of home 🙂 The other thing that I find incredible is that one box is more than enough to colour my very dense shoulder blades length hair.

And yes, the grays are completely covered.

Loving having a natural hair dye to cover greys. Have not had any application issues – it’s really easy to apply, the consistency is fine – not clumpy, and no drips. Just make sure to follow all the instructions to activate it, make sure your hair is clean beforehand (use a clarifying shampoo), apply using a standard tint/colouring brush.

Heat helps the colour to take. The only downsides are the length of time (3-4 hours) but honestly I just wrap my hair up and get about chores at home and it’s no effort – just pick a day you’re at home.

I also found that the first time I tried it the colour didn’t seem to last at all (<2 weeks!), however I may have only left it for 2-3 hours. I've now used it a few times (leaving it for 4 hours) and the colour definitely builds, I am now able to stretch it to 4-5 weeks between colours (washing twice a week).

So if this happens, be persistent. Yes it’s a bit of extra effort but it’s a small trade-off, to not use chemicals.
