1. Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control and Pregnancy Achievement [Book]
Celebrating 10 years of helping hundreds of thousands of women achieve pregnancy, avoid pregnancy naturally, and gain better control of their health and lives, the 10th Anniversary Edition of the classic bestseller will include: – New ‘Preface to the 10th Anniversary Edition” – Updates on new fertility technologies – Natural approaches to conception – Updated Resources and Books For any woman unhappy with her current method of birth control; demoralized by her quest to have a baby; or experiencing confusing symptoms in her cycle, this book provides answers to all these questions, plus amazing insights into a woman’s body.
Weschler thoroughly explains the empowering Fertility Awareness Method, which in only a couple minutes a day allows a woman to: – Enjoy highly effective, scientifically proven birth control without chemicals or devices – Maximize her chances of conception or expedite fertility treatment by identifying impediments to conception – Increase the likelihood of choosing the gender of her baby – Gain control of her sexual and gynecological health.
I’ve read Natural Family Planning by the Kippleys, Honoring Your Cycle by Katie Singer and Taking Charge of Your Fertility. This one explained things best and actually made me feel as though the Fertility Awareness Method would be reliable, AND I would be able to do it! The Kippleys book was more confusing to me and left me feeling overwhelmed.
Katie Singer’s book seemed so simplistic I almost questioned the content. (homemade whey and sauerkraut don’t intrigue me either). TCOYF gave an overall picture of a woman’s cycle and thoroughly explained the FAM method without making it seem over complicated.
Toni’s writing style was very conversational and entertaining. Although the book is long, it’s an easy read and left me feeling confident in either attaining OR preventing pregnancy. It seems to be the most thorough for teaching the method.
It does not touch on the moral ideas surrounding NFP, so that could be a positive or negative depending on if that’s what you are looking for. Kippleys does touch on the moral issues a lot (from a Catholic perspective so put that into your personal consideration.
) If you want to learn the Fertility Awareness Method as a form of contraception or pregnancy achievement this is the book I would recommend to read and keep on you shelf for reference.
“Every woman should read and own this book. It is extremely empowering!” Part of my life I have had some symptoms that resemble PCOS, such as irregular periods, some hair loss, and acne, even though doctors have ruled it out.
This book really helps you understand what the inner-workings of YOUR specific body are, unlike the sometimes systematic, everyone’s-the-same view that a doctor may have. I have gone to the doctor to try to regulate my periods and understand why my body works the way it does but I was unable to get any answers– only a prescription for birth control.
After 6 years of the Pill, 30 lbs heavier and with my conditions worsening, this book, tracking of my basal temperature, and taking saw palmetto have really turned things around for me. Needless to say, I would recommend this book! For those trying to conceive naturally or trying to use natural contraception, this book will be amazing in providing you with helpful information.
Every woman should read and own this book. It is extremely empowering!.
We have been trying to avoid pregnancy using the fertility awareness method for a little over two years. I read the chapters pertaining to avoiding and basic fertility signs and this book taught me SO much.
I plan on keeping it for when we try to conceive so I can also read those chapters. Some changes were made in the most recent edition, but if you join some groups on Facebook, you can figure out those rules and follow along.

It is an essential reference for every woman of reproductive age. Size: Medium. Gender: female. Age Group: adult.
Much better quality than I expected. It looks like a new book from the outside, but has about 4 pages that have folded corners, but those folds are the only thing that shows wear! So worth it getting it from here than buying new.
I can’t comment on the book content itself because I haven’t read it but I was going through the table of contents and it seems so informative, it looks like it touches on everything you can think of about fertility, from anatomy to how to deal with certain health conditions.
This book is a must read for people who want to be more in-tune with their body! Once I started reading it I could not put it down. For those who want to prevent pregnancy or get pregnant, it is such an insightful read! It allows you to track your ovulation easily and understand what is happening over the duration of your monthly cycle.
Lovely diagrams, great layout, impressive FAQ list at the end. Highly recommend!.

Perfect for any new mother! With this OB/GYN-recommended latex-free postpartum compression underwear, keeping your c-section recovery process is one less thing you need to worry about.
Now you can get back to the bigger and more important things in your life, like bonding with your baby!.
This was a terrible and expensive waste of money (I bought the 2 pack) as they are completely useless. Now I’m stuck eating the $80, since they aren’t returnable, which I guess I should I have realized.
I tried on one of the 2 exactly one time (with regular underwear underneath, so that I would be able to return if needed – obviously unnecessary). The thigh openings were far too small for any normal human to wear for any length of time, while the abdomen was so large that there was not a shred of compression.
Basically a complete and total waste of money. Do NOT buy unless you have chicken legs. And be aware that they CANNOT BE RETURNED!!.
I just have my second baby through c-section. My first baby was also delivered through C-section. I did not have any issues the first time. I was almost pain free after three days and felt great. However, I have a tough time this time around.
I have lots of pain especially the first two weeks post partum. I did some research and came across Upspring c-panty. I did not want to buy it in the beginning due to so pricey and not sure if it is worth the money.
But I have experienced so much discomfort from the surgery and found myself hard to do day to day chores even getting up from chair. I decided to order the c panty and gave it a try. I ordered the small size and it fits well.
I am happy with my investment because it dose give me some support in the abdominal area. It is good quality fabrics and feel comfortable. It provides the necessary support. It helps with the pain. Definitely would recommend it.
I have to give the c-panty 4 stars. The first week I wore them, I had to wear a panty liner or pad near the silicone just to protect my incision as the directions recommend. Once I got to a week and 2 days post par, I removed the pad/liner.
This provides just the right amount of compression to hold the tummy, while not putting to much pressure on the incision. I actually bought another postpartum compression garment off Amazon and that garment FAILED in comparison to Upspring’s c-panty.
It’s aiding me to heal much quicker and my tummy is going down quickly as well and I’m only 2 weeks postpar! This product is especially for women who have had a c-section. Love the c-panty, worth every penny and i will be buying another! Lol.
Expert hypnobirthing coach Siobhan Miller has made it her mission to show women everywhere that birth can be better. And not just better — it can be an amazing, empowering experience. HYPNOBIRTHING is an invaluable technique for EVERY woman with a baby inside her uterus and for EVERY type of birth — from a natural water birth through to an unplanned caesarean.
So, what is hypnobirthing? Essentially, it’s a form of antenatal education, an approach to birth that is both evidence-based and logical. Hypnobirthing teaches you how your body works on a muscular and hormonal level when in labour, and how to work with your body to make birth more efficient and comfortable.
Being relaxed is the key, so you will learn how to quickly and easily access a state of deep relaxation using a combination of breathing techniques, visualisations, guided relaxation exercises, light touch massage, positive affirmations and various other techniques.
HYPNOBIRTHING will change your mindset towards birth, so that you’ll be able navigate your birth – and any twists and turns – with confidence, armed with practical tools that ensure you feel calm and in control throughout.
No matter where you sit on the ‘anxious-to-excited’ spectrum at the moment, by the time you finish this book you’ll feel relaxed, capable and genuinely excited about giving birth, because it’s truly the most awesome thing you’ll ever get to do in your life.
I read this during my pregnancy and it was a game changer. Gave me the confidence to cancel my elective c section and try a natural labour and gave me the tools to feel in control of my daughters birth.
As someone who was completely phobic of the idea of child birth this book really changed me for the better! I’d recommend this to everybody. My only downside was the referral to partner throughout the book.
I was single at the time of reading so would have been nice for the book to be more inclusive in that sense.
Incredible book that shows the science behind birth and gave me the knowledge and ultimately confidence to have a natural drug free birth. Removes the fear, debunks the myths and instilled power. I knew I could have a good birth experience and I did.
It was the single most empowering moment of my life and I have this book to thank.

So I am always on the market for Anti-chafe products. Even though this product is geared towards pregnant women I wanted to try out and see how well this works. Packaging is sleek and I really like the structure of the product.
I will say I was disappointed in the product itself. While it does glide on well, it feels like I have absolutely nothing on making me nervous that I don’t have enough product to protect my thighs. So I did glide multiple times until I felt somewhat satisfied.
Throughout the day, I feel like I was waiting for the product to dissipate and it did. While I didn’t necessarily chafe that day, it was the fact that I didn’t have 100% confidence with the product from the start.
At the end of the day, this product is geared towards pregnant women and not a curvy girl so maybe it wasn’t going to give the results I was expecting from other Anti-Chafe products I’ve used.
Frida mom no friction stick Works fast and wonderfully. It is made with vitamin E. and tapioca starch The wicks sweat from the skin To prevent the skin from being rubbed raw. It can be put on under the chest line Between the thighs or anywhere else that the skin rubs against each other.
All you need to do is put on a small amount like you do deodorant or antiperspirant. It even has Bergamont fruit oil and lemon peel oil and orange peel oil In it to give it a pleasant scent. It can be put on as many times as needed And if the skin is raw it does not cause pain when it is applied.
And even though it is implied it is mostly for females men can use it just as well. End it works for both boys and girls especially the ones that are athletes because this will keep They are body from becoming raw from The exercise that they get playing their sport.
First let me start off by saying I’m not pregnant. But I am a bigger woman. And if you’re a bigger woman you know that summer time and heat can be HORRIBLE! I wanted something that I could use that would help prevent chafing.
Nothing I’ve found works. But this works! I haven’t had any issues since I’ve started using it. There’s no loud scent to it so it’s not noticable and it leaves no greasy or sticky residue on my skin.
It leaves my skin smooth and soft. I love it so much!!!.
The Corset girdle has a front closure consisting of 2 rows of hook-and-eye closures that can be adjusted to tighten your girdle when additional compression is needed. The Bellefit Corset can be worn after a C-section or Natural birth.
You may tighten the corset when additional compression is needed as you progress during your childbirth recovery. The front hook and eye closures are designed to avoid or reduce friction with the C-Section incision while putting on the Corset.
I was really excited to get my Bellefit after reading so many good reviews. I wore the hospital compression belt for 2 weeks after my Csection and I’m glad I did – my size went down considerably and I would have had to spend quite a lot to get the various Bellefit sizes on the way down.
A couple problems with my Bellefit and why I didn’t give 5 stars – 1. I’m 5’0 and the boning on the sides digs into my lower rib area despite wearing the correct size. This makes wearing it uncomfortable, especially later in the day or when sitting and I can’t imagine wearing it to sleep because of this.
Perhaps having a petite size option would help. 2. The compression just isn’t what I was expecting. Even on the tightest setting on the correct size (I’m at the high end of the size’s weight range currently) it doesn’t feel like the super compression I was expecting.
It seems to stretch out pretty quickly between washes which probably contributes to the less-than-expected compression. 3. The lowest 2-3 hook and eye closures don’t stay linked when you go to fasten the higher ones, no matter how tight I make it.
I end up linking those first and then pulling it up; even then it doesn’t always help. Annoying and something I wouldn’t expect from an expensive product like this one. What I do like about the Bellefit is that it provides a more streamlined shape versus bulkier binders.
The fabric is breathable and comfortable aside from the boning problem. Overall I saw far more drastic improvement immediately after my Csection with my hospital binder versus the Bellefit. In the weeks after I’ve seen pretty minor improvements only.
I will continue to wear it because of the cost but I admit I was disappointed.
I had a planned C-Section due to complications and had read that many hospitals provide binders about 48 hours following the procedure to help stabilize the core and make everyday movements (going from lying down to sitting, sitting to standing, and walking) easier.
Although I knew my hospital would provide a binder, I wanted to ensure I had a high quality option as well. I researched different brands online and read reviews, and the Bellefit Corset came out on top.
At 175lbs, I ordered an extra large and when it arrived, I put it in my hospital bag. I wore the binder my hospital provided during my stay, and it was no where near as effective as my Bellefit. That said, it was probably the gentler option for that time.
I officially wore my Bellefit on the day I was discharged. I bought an extra large as I weighed 175lbs carrying my twins. It was the perfect size. About a week and half following the delivery, I ordered the large! I’m excited to continue using Bellefit over the next few weeks to help with my recovery and body shaping.
I anticipate needing the medium at some point (my pre-pregnancy size), and then I’ll stop wearing it once I can exercise again.
Soft and breathable, the award-winning KeaBabies Revive 3-in-1 Postpartum Support Recovery Belt gives tummy support, corrects posture, and helps to straighten the spine. Comprising of 3 separate belts that you can wear on their own or all together, regain your confidence by helping your body go back to how it was before!.
Black ONE SIZE 5ft 7in 140lbs 36D pre baby / 9 months I was 165lbs 36DDD ALL BELLY. ( gave birth I look 6 months pregnant) Definitely gives you light support. I wore out of hospital ( just the main band).
Some doctor recommended waiting to put on band but this band wasnt tight to the point where I felt it was too tight OR even tight. I will be using this band for a few weeks 4-5 weeks tops. I WILL be buying a band with Way more support.
I recommend for light support the first month or so but definitely wont be using after 4-5 weeks. Just enough support to feel secure. I bought one size and definitely had a lot of room left. Not bulky and its-thin and good for price.
Able to sleep in. Able to wear for 12 hours no problem. I recommend.
I’m 5. 3, normal torso length and this brace is too long on me, especially the back where the braces are a bit wider. The material rolls. It’s very uncomfortable and I have to continually yank the pieces down because they ride up.
Read the size chart – it really is true to size. This product is really comfortable I tried it on as soon as I received it and walked around in it for an hour. I was very pleased with the level of support and the comfort.
Pretty lace-trim briefs are cut with a high waist from soft, comfy knit, making them an elegant choice for postpartum and C-section recovery. Pack of five assorted briefs Cotton-lined gusset 95% rayon, 5% spandex Machine wash, tumble dry Imported Women’s Clothing.
After reading reviews and the sizing guide, I decided to go up from my normal a size to a Large, however I should have stuck with my usual size Medium. The only time the size up would have worked for me would have been the first week after giving birth.
Because they’re so big, they constantly slide down on my belly and because they’re a cotton undie, they stretch out VERY quickly, which make them slide around even more. Currently, I only wear these to bed, not during the day.
My recommendation is that if you’re between sizes, go with the size down as that will work better more long-term in the postpartum journey. Now as far as comfort and quality, I think they’re great and I would have been much happier with them had I gotten a medium.
The fabric is SO soft and the lace is also stretchy and soft enough to feel comfortable post birth and provides extra comfort post c-section. Kindred Bravely, PLEASE start allowing returns/exchanges on these.
While I understand your concern for health, it’s standard industry practice to accept returns/exchanges on undies, so in comparing to other companies, you’re setting yourself apart in a negative way by not allowing that.
Will I recommend these? yes, but if you tend to be between sizes, first look for something similar from other companies that will allow you to return or exchange if they don’t fit.
I bought these while I was still pregnant. When they were delivered I could see that some of the lace around the top was detached from the actual underwear and there were a bunch of strings hanging off I had to cut.
They weren’t in bad enough shape to complain or attempt a return, so I washed them and wore them. Let me tell you, these are comfortable! I was thoroughly surprised. I ended up going back and buying more.
After receiving the quality of bras from KB, I was a little disappointed in the look of the underwear but I’m just about 6 weeks postpartum and still wearing them. They do run a bit small, so I sized up, plus I figured with all the pads postpartum that would be good and they fit perfectly.
My thought on this was it’s a good deal for the 5 pack and if they’re really that bad and I get blood all over them it’s not a big deal. I would definitely recommend these to a friend with the caution of the condition when you first open them.
These are something I feel KB needs to work on to get the same quality as their bras.
I’ll start by saying I was super excited about these, as I had a scheduled c-section. I order one set, and before they came in I ordered another (and I wish I hadn’t). The first set I had refunded, after back and forth with customer service of course.
Two pairs got wholes after a single wear, I was super disappointed. I didn’t even want to deal with the second set. They seem cheaply made, the lace frays and honestly they just don’t fit me right. I thought at first maybe it was because my pregnant belly.
but postpartum it’s not any better. They don’t stay up and they are always moving around and with a C-section I was really looking for something to stay off my incision and these are not doing the trick.
All and all I would NOT recommend these, go to Target or Walmart and get high waisted briefs, they’re cheaper and the quality will be the same. There are other items that I got and love – check out the nightgowns and robes!.
During the lochia stage, which can last for approximately six to eight weeks after childbirth, tampons cannot be used and postpartum pads, also called tocolology pads or gynaecological pads, should be used.
Indasec Postpartum pads are indicated for the first days of the postpartum period and its second phase, when the lochia are not so abundant. The special layer of cotton in contact with the skin prevents fibres from sticking to the wound and ensures maximum softness.
The wings prevent the pad from moving, which offers great comfort and protection. It fits perfectly into your underwear and offers the security you need to lead a life without limitations. You are also guaranteed skin care and protection with Dermoprotect, an emulsion with exclusive ingredients such as aloe vera and blackcurrant, which moisturise and repair the skin barrier.
And also with Controlsec, which guarantees maximum effectiveness in neutralising odour.
TranslateShow in original languageLas he comprado para tenerlas en casa cuando vuelva del parto, por lo que aún no he podido utilizarlas así que le pongo 3 estrellas. Explains the Fertility Awareness Method, which allows you to: maximise your chances of conception, or expedite fertility treatment by identifying impediments to pregnancy achievement; enjoy effective and scientifically proven birth control without chemicals or devices; increase the likelihood of choosing the gender of your baby; and more.
Wish I had read this book 15 years ago when I first started periods. I can’t believe they don’t teach you the things in this book. Interesting read if you want to understand your cycles for contraception or conceiving.
Will be sharing with friends. Can’t recommend enough!.
This is a scientific analysis and journal developed in 383 pages with ILLUSTRATIONS. In her book, Weschler talks to women who want to become pregnant about their FERTILITY SIGNS. It helps to study the mechanics of reproduction and, especially, for women wanting to get pregnant.
On the flip-side, it helps those who need to put-off having children with clinical information that gives them control over their bodies. Originally, my idea was to better understand why it is that some women trying to become pregnant do not conceive until they’ve adopted a child or have just given-up on the fulfillment.
I am AMAZED at the details and mechanics of conceiving! How could I not know this, a grown woman with two adult children and a couple of miscarriages, that somebody “out there” was identifying the secrets of childbirth? HERE ARE HIGHLIGHTS OF INTEREST: Identify Miscarriage vs Infertility (p23) Male Fertility & Advice to Challenge (p144) Best Strategy For Low Sperm Count Partner (p148) Observe and Chart Fertility Signs (Chapter 6) This EXTREMELY challenging study journal is written by a women’s health EDUCATOR and SPEAKER.
She has a MASTER’S DEGREE in PUBLIC HEALTH (MPH). She founded Fertility Awareness Counseling and Training Seminars and has lectured at hospitals, clinics, and universities since 1982. Weschler says, “Enjoy highly effective and scientifically proven birth control without chemicals or devices.
A really brilliant book that all women young and old should aim to read. This book was in perfect condition and looked completely unread and sparkling new, its a big chunky book about the size of a yellow pages and it contains lovely images inside, its very intriguing and content heavy.

The binder came 3 days before I was expecting it. thank you for the quick turn around. Unfortunately, I have not opened it. The patient that I ordered it for passed away before he could use it. How can I return it.

Silver-infused fibers help eliminate bacteria and odor.
I got these and really want to love them but they did not work out. The belly portion was amazing but the panty portion really needs more thought. My main issues are the elastic for the leg holes are so snug.
I’m a size 8-10 and I bought XL over a L because I wanted to avoid anything to snug or pinching. The leg holes are just way too tight I couldn’t wear them without always being aware of the tightness, I even tried to snip and unstitch to get it to be more comfortable.
Also the crotch area is so cramped and small I could not get a pad to stay in place. It just kept twisting and rolling up. If the pad has wings it’s especially hard with the way the fabric is cut to put the wings down and over as well.
I was using thin always pads in size 1 (so not bulky or overly long at all). For underwear geared towards a postpartum life these just don’t cut it. It was a lot to pay for them not to workout. I will say that the materials are top notch and very well made.
Band portion that covers my c section felt amazing. If it could just have a complete redesign on the panty part the product would be amazing.
I recently gave birth and these post-partum panties have really saved the day! I found the hospital’s products very uncomfy, but Belly Bandit is so comfortable that it doesn’t even feel like im wearing anything.
I love the 3 pack because it means I dont have to wash my 1 pair of undies every single day because I swear I have not worn a single other pair of undies since I gave birth.
I discovered these panties after my first cesarean. The compression is perfect. I pair them with compression leggings and I don’t have the roll-down issues others have had. I’m 5’2” 170 postpartum, and the mediums fit me perfectly.
I started wearing them about a week postpartum, and they have been a postpartum essential for me after this second baby (also cesarean). I’ve recommended these to everyone who has had a c-section too.
