Have only rode less than ten miles so far. Quick and easy to assemble, box arrived in good condition, damage to bike. Rear derailer shifter and brakes already seem tuned accurately. Crank derailer shifter shifts through all 3 crank gears but is only labeled for H & L gears so will have to relabel shifter myself.
My first road bike so can’t compare to others and been over 20 years since I’ve rode. Did replace seat with one that is better cushioned. Nice sleek looking frame. Alot stiffer ride than mountain bikes but to be expected on road bikes.
May see about putting a little wider tires for softer ride, comes with 28 wide. All n all I would recommend this bike to anyone wanting a nice road bike for begginers on a budget wanting a sleek look and nice color combo (black & white w/red accents).
Pretty much, you get what you pay for. It’s a cheap road bike. The quality overall is ok, just ok. The gears is the single thing thats not of good quality. Everything is ok. The gears are cheap, and switch without you even switching them.
The chain popped off multiple times as I was riding it. I tried adjust the derailer but still not quite as accurate as other high end gear brands. Its a bike for a entry level rider whose main concern is price over quality.
The bike looked pretty good for the money for one season. Recently I faced with 2 issues which should not ever happen so fast on lightly used bike – the fork started leaking and slacking. I feel it’s too dangerous to continue riding on so loose fork – and right nut of bottom bracket if fall out of the frame (inner thread on frame looks damaged).
The repair cost is more than the bike costs – no sense to repair. To buy it you should be ok to pay $200+ for the bike for just one season. After the first 10-15 rides it falls apart.

I have been on several rides and I love it. I ended up changing the tires, so they match my seat and handle bar grips that are brown. Really a good looking and nice riding bike. Now, I was supposed to get a 5% rebate upon delivery but I never received, hence the 4 stars.

After getting back on my old Synapse 105 Alloy you can tell the difference ! Why was I sceptical , because the price gap between the alloy/carbon – 105/Ultegra is not small. Synapse is my go to model and I am not disappointed with the Carbon Utlegra, same ride as the alloy105 but a little softer.
The only moan would be the stock tyres but then who doesn’t switch those out first thing when getting a new pony. Fulcrums compare well to my old Aksium’s. Caution though the hydraulics discs brakes stop on a sixpence and I confess to seeing my back wheel at 90 degrees when being a little over enthusiastic on my first ride.
Well rounded bike , not a single thing to moan about and for me the first bike where I haven’t considered upgrading anything except the saddle from day one. Sigma , never been anywhere with such professionalism and interest in someone else needs a cyclist and not wanting to sell you their own vision/preference.
Very happy all round and Sigma even threw in a different skewer in case I wanted to switch wheels 🙂 Finally , the colour Saber Orange seems to be unique (for the moment) and definitely standouts from the usual blacks and reds !.
Very happy with this bike so far. Taken it round Regents Park and up and down Box Hill and good control and traction. I was also very happy with the advice given by Milo at the Hampton Wick store to select the right bike for me, using the jig set up to test different combinations.
When the bike arrived there was also a really useful session to fine tune the set up and this didn’t cost a pound more. Much better than when I previously bought a bike online from another retailer and the set up and size wasn’t right for me long term.
This means you’ll get to your destination faster and you’ll also have a great time, because road bikes are really fun to ride. Built around a steel road bike frame, the 700c Kent RoadTech Ladies Road Bike is beautifully engineered and reasonably priced.
The high-profile alloy Vitesse racing rims look as good as they perform. Shimano shifters and rear derailleur completes the drive train for quick and smooth gear changes, and the gearing offers a number of different speeds.
The racing seat is comfortable for fast racing or slow riding.
I love this bike It’s beautiful. It moves well but I already want something faster and will purchase a carbon race bike. The box was damaged when I got it from the store and the frame had some gouges but nothing too noticeable.
This was not the manufacturer’s fault. It was wrapped and protected perfectly. Assembly was easy. Half of the bike is already assembled. Just need to attach the front wheel and handle bar. While riding the bike, the gears are noisy and sound cheap at times and the front tire is a little off-balance when you spin it.
The tires lose air easily and I am filling them before each outing. Other than these minor issues on a $148 dollar bike I like it very much and rate it as a 4. In 3 days of ownership it has re-awakened my interest in cycling and I will definately be stepping up to a high quality bike because of this bike.
For those looking to toy around and take a cruise once in a while it is certainly sufficient and a fun way to get some exercise. It’s sensitive and it’s easy to ride. I am a 5’7″ 148lbs athletic female and it’s a tad small for me so I raised the seat and handle bar.
It fits in my suv great and I take it up the mall to do laps. I really like it overall. It’s a very nice bike. I take pics of it often. The color is stunning.
I ordered two of these bikes and the assembly was easier than the huffy bikes that I previously ordered (which were missing pieces). However, when the bike was completely assembled, there was a piece left dangling from the bike.
When I looked up pictures of the fully assembled bike, it appears that the piece was somehow supposed to fit around the handlebar’s stem but there are no directions on how to do this without scraping the paint off the bike.
It also seems like there should be some sort of screw to keep this piece secured, but there’s none.
Get fit and help others with the Susan G Komen Road bicycle. The SGK Hybrid bicycle is the perfect blend of road bike and comfort bike. It begins with a sturdy steel frame. When you’re riding to the store, out for a training ride or just making a coffee run you can count on a reliable 21-speed drivetrain with a rear derailleur from industry leader Shimano to tame the hills and get you moving.
If you get moving too much, you can rely on front and rear alloy linear pull hand brakes to keep your speed in check. What a great combination better health for you and health benefits for those in need!.
Bikes in this size have been hard to come by so when I happened to come across this bike, I ordered it immediately! My mom is a 2x breast cancer survivor, so I feel it was meant to be. I was a bit reluctant getting a bike that I had to assemble sent to my home, but at this price I had to do it.
UPS delivered the massive box 8 days later. I was stunned because I was still waiting for other packages I had ordered before I ordered the bike. Whoever packed this wasn’t playing because every single piece was wrapped in either bubble wrap or very thick protective paper.
There were also about 15 zip ties holding everything together. It was easily the best packing job I’ve ever seen! I’m not a master builder, or even close so I was really worried about putting this together myself, but I laid a blanket out on my garage floor and got to work.
The instructions are very clear, detailed and have helpful pics. To be clear, the only things to assemble are the pedals, seat, handle bars, and front wheel. The break mechanism slides onto the handlebar stem.
You aren’t attaching cables or anything crazy. You need an allen wrench, a crecent wrench and a screwdriver. At about the 35 minute mark I was done and went through and tightened everything up. A little air in the tires and I was ready to ride.
It was very simple! 9/10- ease of assembly. The bike has a very smooth ride. Unlike some other bikes with skinny tires, you don’t feel every pebble you ride over. The chain and gears are quiet and easy to switch.
I LOVE that the handle bars sit up a bit so I’m not killing by back bending down. 2 sets of breaks on the bars are nice depending on how you ride. The seat is a bit narrow, but for what I need this bike for (rides with family and around the neighborhood, to and from school with my daughter), I don’t find it terribly uncomfortable at all.
Matter of fact, I haven’t had the inter leg pain at all since I’ve been riding and it’s been over a year since I’ve been on a bike. I also like that there is room for a water bottle attachment on the frame already built in.
Now, I will say that this is advertised as a womens bike, however there are some things wrong with that as it is built more for a man. First, the length of the frame is more of a mens length. But for me, it’s very comfortable.
The seat is narrow and not wide. But the biggest thing is the middle bar, which is parallel to the ground and not curved. I honestly don’t mind at all because I find the bike very comfortable (I’m 5′ 7″ for reference).
Hey guys, real men rock pink! This bike is good for you too! Overall, I absouletly LOVE this bike! I get compliments left and right and it is so comfortable and easy to ride! The price is SUPER right, and putting it together was easy as pie! On top of all that, I get to show my support to an amazing organization and support my mother too! I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
I’m happy to be back on the road. I highly, highly recommend this bike! 10/10.
I got this bike 3 days ago and have been on 2 rides thus far. I called my local Walmart before I purchased and they were nice enough to agree to assemble it for me free of charge. Although the bike is heavier than most road bikes (supposedly- I wouldn’t know), it is lighter than other bike types and easy to lift and move around.
The bike looks great and looks high-end. This is my first road bike, so I am still adjusting to riding low without straining my back. The seat hurts after a while, so go ahead and order a comfort seat.
Also, I am 5’6 and the bike’s middle bar stops just under my pelvis, so short ladies beware. So far, what I like most about the bike is that there are two sets of breaks: (1) in the traditional place of a speed bike and (2) the normal place for road bikes.
Having 2 break options is great for easing into the lower riding style that road bikes offer. Also, as another poster shared, the gears are on the neck of the bike, so I am still getting used to using them.
Lastly, given the extra break option, you may have some difficulty attaching a basket to the handled bars. The one I purchased will not fit, due to the double break option take up a lot of handlebar space; however, a back rack looks as if it will fit.
Given the price, look of the bar, Walmart putting it together, and the double break option, I give it 5 stars.

I’ve always been slightly afraid of bikes. The speed intimidate me and I have never been fully confident or trusted myself on a bike. After moving back to my hometown of New York from Melbourne early March 2020, I realised that I wanted a way to keep fit and also be able to quickly travel to see my mom.
I started out with a cruiser by another brand, then purchased a Liv Flourish FS 2018. After getting more than comfortable with both for about a month, I was craving speed! The other bikes I owned were heavy and I wanted a bike that could take me around the state.
In May 2020, I purchased this Liv Avail 3 from a bike shop and picked it up 2 days later. Within 30 minutes of picking it up, I was circling Central Park on drops and feeling unafraid (with a helmet, of course!).
This bike is excellent for beginners because the handling is intuitive! I’d never ridden drops before and was unfamiliar with the required posture, but fitting the bike to my height (5’7/170cm) was so easy! The Shimano Claris groupset is incredibly responsive and offers the perfect amount of speeds for me (8) as I am a beginner and would likely end up not using additional gears.
The bike is lightweight, which is good because I have weak noodle arms. The range of sizes with women-specific geometry is very helpful for someone like me with quite a short torso compared to my legs.
I have tried bikes that made me reach over excessively and eventually, my back or wrists would hurt. That’s all avoided with this Liv design! No longer am I afraid of cycling! This smooth handling and lightweight powerhouse is perfect for my needs.
The best benefit of all is the improved mental health effect gained by riding a comfortable bike. I haven’t had a hobby in years and I am so grateful to have regained some motivation and passion in life! I have been in such uplifted and positive spirits since I acquired this bike and I have Liv to thank for that, as well as my newfound addiction to cycling!.
I ordered the D-Fuse seat post adaptor and the installation was difficult (no instructions) and the design makes making minor adjustments nearly impossible. The location of the bracket adaptor and the bracket I installed is below the seat with screws on the outside.
I am 5’0″ with big quads and my brand new cycling pants got torn up from the screws on my first ride. This bike has also ghost shifted on me nearly every day, even after installing a new chain right after I got it and several adjustments by bike mechanics.
The only thing I like about this bike is the size and the handle bar brakes.
I mainly use this bike for casual road riding with a gran fondo here and there. Overall I see the bike as a decent value. I have a few gripes about some of the components that were evident cost cutting measures.
For example the chain and brakes. The chain is noisy and inefficient. The brakes are slow to react. Retail wise I can upgrade the chain and brakes to far better versions for about seventy dollars. Throw on some good 32c tires and this bike comes alive.
So those few things kind of disappoints coming from a big name. Overall pleased with my purchase but it is not one that will make me loyal to the brand.
New Triban Evo frame in 6061 T6 aluminum, comfort-oriented geometry with adapted slope. Weight: 4 lbs in size M Strong, versatile frame: carrier and mudguard can be installedCompatible with tires up to 36 mm cross-section | Triban Women’s Rc520, Disc Brake Road Bike in Blue, Size XS: 5’1″ – 5′ 5″.
So my assesment that dechatlon was shipping this 11S bike with a thichker 10S chain resulting chain rub on the cassette was not correct. I installed a brand new shimano 105 chain and casette but the rubbing was still there.
My caliphers were not correct as shimano 105 chain mesured excatly the same as the stock one. I mesured again with a new calipher and both chains were indeed conforming to 11S standards. I finally asked a second opinion from a bike guru and the word is: this is not due to the component but due bike geometry on this bike (size S).
the casette is a bit too close to the BB which causes slight chain rub as the chain angle is steeper because the distance between front cogs and cassette being shorter on size S. The solution? The mechanic suggested installing a thin BB spacer on the drive side, bringing the front cogs more in line with fastest cogs on the cassette (slower ones doesn”t rub).
even a minute correction (around 1mm) should solve the issue. I should have asked a pro’s opinnion soonner. My overall score is still 4/5 because it’s still a problem to solve on a brand new bike and the solution is a bit more complicated to identify and solve than the thick chain issue.
otherwise I’m glad that Dechatlon wasn”t cheaping out by putting a 10speed chain on a 105 groupset. still a great bike. still amazing value.
For the price, this bike is a great value for the money. It came fully wrapped and padded really well and didn’t have any scratches or dents. And although it needs assembly, it isn’t that difficult. Just the handle bars, front and rear shifters, pedals, and the front wheel.
The shifters and brakes were already tuned. It came with assembly instructions and a full general manual, and the tools. It also came a day early. The front derallieur needed some minor adjustments, but the rear one was spot on.
I’ve taken it on 2 rides, one 28 miles and another 35 and it rides really well. I have the small frame and it weights 25. 2 pounds, and the aluminum frame’s welds look sturdy. I would definitely recommend this bike and would buy it again if needed.
You get what you pay for here. Bike needed a full tune up out of the box. Wheels were horribly untrue. Gear shifters were super tight and hard to push down. Need to find that sweet spot between High and Low gear settings so the chain doesn’t rub against derailleur.
Popped a tube second ride out after hitting a tiny pothole. Hoping things get better with time since bike is virtually not returnable after being ridden. If I could do it all over again I would’ve invested a little more money for a better bike.
After weeks of research, Retrospec was by far the best option. I live in the DC area and it only took 5 business days for my bike to be delivered. It was so easy to assemble. I’ve already ridden it a couple times for trails of 11 miles each; and I couldn’t be happier.
The bike is not only nice and cue but also light and very comfortable.

All too often corners are cut to meet price-points in the entry-level road bike market but the 2022 Specialized Allez Sport Road Bike redefines what it means to be entry level. Focusing on weight refinement and reliability like nothing else in its class the Allez is the first to make these technologies accessible to everyone.
Whether youre just getting into road cycling commuting or looking for a new bike the Allez is just as performance-packed as it is versatile. For the build this Allez features crisp and reliable Shimano Sora shifting durable Axis Sport alloy wheels our new super-comfy Body Geometry Bridge saddle and well-protected RoadSport tires.
This is my second specialized bike, first one a mountain bike and now my Allez Sport road bike. This is a great bike and true to the product description. Bought this bike back in Oct 2019 and due to the current climate researched into a new road bike.
The bike ride is a smooth ride, great set up specification. Great components , well made and constructed. Can’t fault the bike, you pay for what you get and this is a great product and I would highly recommend this bike and it product.
Absolutely love this bike. Was originally after the Allez Elite but unfortunately they’re as rare as rocking horse poo Was so pleased when i got this bike instead. It looks great, incredibly comfortable and quick.
Its an upgrade from my Pinnacle Laterite 2 and is already shaving minutes off my daily commute. The Sora groupset is smooth and reliable, has a solid feel and with the 11-32, handles the hills effortlessly.
I bought this bike mainly as a commuter bike for riding 7 miles round-trip to my work and home everyday and sometimes 10 mile rides on the weekends. I specifically looked for road bikes that could fit fenders and a rear rack since I work with servers and sometimes have to carry up to 30 pounds of server equipment in my panniers.
However, the rear rack mount on the left side of the bike is blocked by the rear brake. Luckily, I have a rear rack with bendable metal mounts so I was able to bend it around the brake. If you have a rack with non bendable mounts, it won’t work with this bike.
You’ll have to find a rack that can mount on the seat post instead. Otherwise, this is an amazing bike that had served me well in both sunny and rainy days on both bike trails and roads alike.
Overview – All too often, corners are cut to meet price-points in the entry-level road bike market, but the Allez redefines what it means to be “entry level. ” Focusing on weight, refinement, and reliability like nothing else in its class, the Allez is the first to make these technologies accessible to everyone.
Whether you’re just getting into road cycling, commuting, or looking for a new bike, the Allez is just as performance-packed as it is versatile. – For the build, this Allez features reliable Shimano Claris shifting, durable Axis Sport alloy wheels, our new super-comfy Body Geometry Bridge saddle, and well-protected Road – Sport tires.
DetailsEntry-level road bikes often times feature either alloy or cheap carbon fiber forks that greatly detract from the overall ride quality. But with a full FACT carbon fiber fork, the Allez is better handling, smoother riding, and lower in weightfloating over rough chip-seal and carving through corners like a slalom skier.
This meant creating a geometry that’s sure to cover a broad range of positions while still providing the performance-minded handling you’d expect from your first bike. – Not only does a lightweight bike feel better when you’re climbing up a hill, but it’s also essential when you’re carrying your bike up to the 5th floor, and this was at the forefront of the frame design.
With a redesigned E5 Alloy frame, the Allez features a class-leading weight. Aggressively thin-walled, yet tough, tubes have been implemented to save weight and this results in over a 450g (1-pound) reduction in the frame and fork alone when compared to some models of yesteryear.
– This Allez also features integrated rack and fender mounts, allowing you to get weight of your backpack off you and onto a lightweight rack. This not only makes for a good road bike, but it also enables you to transform it into a fast commuterGeometrySizeStackReachHead-Tube Length – Head-Tube Angle – B-B Height – B-B DropTrailFork Length (full)Fork Rake/OffsetFront-CenterChain-Stay LengthWheelbaseTop-Tube Length (horizontal)Bike Stand-Over Height – Seat-Tube Length – Seat-Tube Angle4451636511071.
I was in the market for an ‘entry-level’ plus road bike for medium distance rides 2-3 times a week. Basic criteria was a bike around £1000 mark, so alloy rather than carbon, good year on year reviews from trusted sources.
Having been on the bike for 100’s of miles over Xmas/NY, I can say that the Allez Elite is a great option and a lot fun to ride. Shifting, acceleration and the geometry are feel excellent. The carbon forks take the hits when riding on country roads.
Lightweight frameset and wheels. Would recommend upgrading the brakes to full Shimano 105 from the outset. Other reviewers have mentioned replacing the crankset to 105 as well, personally I think the supplied Praxis Alba option is doing a good job at the moment.
So I wouldn’t suggest doing anything with that until you need to replace it, sometime down the line.
I bought this as my first proper road bike and I’m in love with it. I’ve done about 350 miles in and around Surrey and it handles long days, climbs and fast paced sprints very nicely. It gives you a slightly less aggressive position on the bike but being fairly new to road cycling I found this felt perfect as a way to ease me in to the riding positions and in addition it gives me comfort for those long 60+mile rides.
I was looking around for a while to try and find a good set of components at a good price and settled with this. DT Swiss wheels, Shimano 105 gearing and the 54 comes in around 8. 7kg (according to my scales) so nice and light as well.
The brakes that come on the bike are great but aren’t Shimano 105 so for little money you can upgrade those very easily. The green colourway is beautiful in real life as well, its subtle enough but gets great compliments when people are paying attention.
The Gestalt is for the drop bar rider that doesn’t want to stick to pavement, and can’t help but get dirty no matter the route.
