I had wanted to try beef tallow for cooking for a while now to get some more variety into the diet besides the usual butter (does not work for everything), olive oil (the majority of olive oil now is adulterated with who knows what else in it and is contributing to excess consumption of omega-6’s), coconut oil (I don’t care for the flavor of this in a number of different recipes).
But honestly, I was not at all expecting the outstanding excellent flavor of this! I was thinking it may taste bland and kind of nappy, like when you skim the top grease layer off something cooked. This is SO DELICIOUS — wildly flavorful with the tiniest little amount, and it really disperses evenly and easily throughout all the food.
What a pleasant surprise! I will be using this product from now on. I also wanted to find the healthiest version of beef tallow that I could, as there isn’t very much of this available anywhere. If it can’t be from organic beef, at least this is from grass fed beef raised without antibiotics.

I love the product. My comments are related to the website. The first purchase was smooth, but when I came back to buy more I had completely forgotten that I had a subscription. I almost subscribe again.
The subscription under my account is difficult to notice. I had to discover a roll down menu. At some point I remembered I had subscribed before and actively looked for that subscription to just change the delivery date.
I also saw a notification on top of the page for deliveries before Christmas. We are in January already. It made me feel like there’s not a lot of attention put into the website. I did everything on my iPhone 13, so I was looking at the mobile version.

I was really excited to have a bone broth with no additives but its literally just like water that had something sitting in it. I even added this to a batch of rice as the liquid for it. I didnt even like the rice.

I have had the chicken broth on subscription since last fall. There had been a delay of several months due to supply chain? sourcing? who know? Anyhow, I finally got a shipment and I could tell when I cracked the seal that something was wrong but I poured some into a coffee mug and warmed it up and had to spit it out.
It tasted disgusting. Like water with some dirty vegetables thrown in. Totally inedible. I don’t know what’s going on. But I cancelled my subscription and received a refund. So sad bc I usually sip on this before breakfast every morning and now I’ll have to find another product.
I have a heaped teaspoon of this bone broth in a mug with near boiling water on a daily basis now. By virtue of making more ethical choices I am virtually vegetarian but these New Zealand (Australian?) cows are grass fed and – I imagine – happy.
And although we couldn’t clock up more air miles if we tried I feel that this bone broth is providing an almost elemental nutrition that my poor 50 year old menopausal, and taken for granted, body requires.

Love the locations! Love the high quality brands you carry, like my dog’s: Open Farm. However, I find that a lot of flavors of their freeze dried food and wet stews are out of stock at multiple locations regularly.
I’ve called ahead to find a flavor because the online store says it in stock at a particular location. When I call, an associate often says it’s out of stock and the website just doesn’t reflect inventory accurately.
In my opinion, that renders the websites’ inventory useless. It makes it hard for me to find food in a pinch. I don’t want to have to go back to ordering directly from the company online. I’d like to be able to buy this food in stores, but big retailers like Petsmart and Petco don’t carry this brand.
It has clearly gained more popularity over the years so I think you guys should stock more of the flavors that sell out so often. If you regularly had my dogs food in stock, I would be a more regular customer.
However, I understand that things like this can be out of your control which is why I still think you deserve a pretty high rating. I otherwise love everything I’ve purchased from your store and so does my dog.
I recently adopted a 10. 5 year old hound who had been extremely malnourished for years. He came to us around 10-15lbs underweight and we needed to get weight back on him quickly. Based on the great reviews I ordered 6, however, only one is available to pick up. Thank god I only wasted money on one! I was expecting a clear pure organic chicken broth, however; the color is dark brown, and I have no clue which ingredient caused the color brown.

This has been one of the most fun things that makes cheese taste great that I have ever purchased. That is saying something since I think cheese is pretty great. This fondue pot has been the central part of the sustenance element for a number of get togethers.
We have made a Swiss-style fondue three times and it has been a hit every time. The ease of operation of this fondue pot is exceptional. Follow whatever recipe you have, turn the control to the suggested temperature to get things started and wait for the bubbles.
Continue adding cheese and manipulate the temperature between 3-4. 5 on the dial and things will work out. As you fondue, you will occasionally have to turn the temperature up or down and stir a little.
It is much better than a candle or a sterno. There is a lot more control with this and not as much attention is needed, but you still have to pay a some attention. As you and your friends enjoy the fondue, there will be a bit of manipulation with the temperature control but it is very forgiving.
Things will get runny and then thick but we have experienced mainly consistent results. Pay attention and stir once in awhile. Clean up is a breeze! Don’t scratch your pot. Use wood or plastic to stir.
We had left over cheese. Let it solidify, should come off pot super easy. Store it and make a grilled cheese sandwich with it the next day, delicious. Can do it on stove or in microwave. Fondue tastes better next day so don’t be afraid to re-heat or use in another way.
I just purchased this FONDUE POT and used it ONCE. the food turned out perfectly. I tried to use it again a few days later and the plug to the fondue pot seems to have a SHORTAGE or something. It came on for about 10 seconds or less it turned itself off again.
I played with the card that attatches to the fondue pot part. It came back on for a few seconds later it was off again and again. I know the cord is awfully short but that wasnt a problem because I sat it next to the electrical outlet.
I dont know if anyone has the patience to continue that process to cook a meal (but I DO NOT). I had to take the meat out the fondue pot and cooked it on the stove. I can NOT tell anyone what to purchase or Not to purchase.

The Fondue: This is four-star! The item is nice. It works well and has enough capacity to place 5 or 6 skewers in the pot at the same time. However, it would be even nicer if the pot came with a top, especially since the cooling off after use would be less worrisome.
The electric cord: That’s a 1-star! The cord is pretty short. We used it at the corner of our kitchen island as it has an outlet. If one wants to use it in the middle of table (dining room, for example), then one needs an extension cord, which can and most likely will, present a tripping hazard.
The temperature: That’s a 1-star! Yes, it comes with a warning that the oil (if used for cooking meats) can spill and splat. It sure did! – We ended up using a lower temperature and waited patiently for the meats (chicken and beef) to get done.
FYI: If you are planning on cooking veggies, just toss them into the pot carefully and remove them with a tong. It worked for us. Picking up the item via “curb-side-pick-up” (during COVID-19 times): That’s a minus 10-star! This was a horrible experience.
– We pulled into the waiting stall and called the number for pick-up, which was provided on our receipt. BTW: This was the same number provided at the parking stall, too. NOBODY answered the phone! We called several times, yet no one ever picked up the phone.
So, after about 5 tries we called the 1-800 number and got to Customer service. Via their help, and a “runner” inside the parking lot, we were able to drive off with the item after 25 minutes! That’s way too long for a wait! In fact, other customers parked next to us for “curb-side-pick-up” must have gone through the same issue, as they left their vehicle and went inside the store.

I love soup but am on a sodium restricted diet. This broth has 90mg per 8oz compared to 500mg for the best “reduced sodium” chicken base I have been able to find and still has a good chicken flavor, and that’s the point in using chicken broth.
It also has no added sugar and 8 more mg protein. It does have more cholesterol, but I don’t think 10mg per 8oz is significant for the amount I would use. So, I can add a little of my lower sodium base, sea salt, or salt substitute to this if I want a stronger chicken or saltier taste and still have a dish that’s far lower in sodium.
I use a lot of vegetables and spices instead of salt and chicken base to make soup and things like rice. I used this broth to make rice instead of water and added celery, onion, and garlic, and it was great, didn’t need more chicken flavor.
I like having a carton of broth already made up. I use a little when I reheat chicken, gravy, rice, etc, and the shelf life of this product is great. I got it a week or so ago, and best buy date is 2/22.
I will try it in soup next but have no doubt that I can make a batch that’s just as tasty and far lower in sodium. Yes, I am on a sodium restricted diet, but no one needs as much sodium as is in most canned and prepackaged products and regular bouillon cubes and bases.
This tastes fantastic! We only get the Unsalted (very low sodium) one so that we can have healthier broth and salt it any way we like it. The apple cider vinegar that’s added in there is barely noticeable, but it enhances the flavor.

I bought more than one flavor of this brand. The shredded chicken breast is their favorite but I like the others because some have pumpkin and sweet potatoes. I have two terriers with health problems.
One has pancreatitis and the other has food allergies. This food is ideal for both of them. The other two do not have any problems and they eat this everyday along with kibble. I love to see them enjoy their food.

Aubrey had been doing some, bottom carpet scooting. She was also scratching a lot. The vet suspected she may have allergies to food. It was suggested I cut out ANY chicken, and try any other protein.
We went through rabbit, duck, venison and pea, and even other brands of turkey. It was getting expensive, as she would eat some, the decide, no thank you. She didn’t even enjoy the wet food given to her! For over 2 years now, Aubrey has been eating Taste of the Wild Prey Turkey, happily and excitedly.
She has never turned her nose up at it, and still begs for more after her meal is done. She has never liked a food this long. On a great side note, her carpet surfing has stopped, she is MUCH less itchy, so very soft, and look at how pretty and clear her eyes are.
She just had her vet checkup and she is as healthy as can be. I buy the large bag, knowing she will eat the whole thing, even if it takes her a while, and that I will not be left with an open half eaten bag.
My other cat, Zetta (not pictured, I didn’t want to tease her), unfortunately has SEVERE allergies, and is on a very special diet. She too LOVED this food. She even breaks into Aubrey’s special food dish and steals some of her kibble.
In good news, Zetta does not seem to react very badly to her extra meals. Other foods would make her itch so horribly, her neck and ears would bleed, and, she lost all her fur on her belly. If she can ever get off her special diet food, I am so glad to know that Taste of the Wild Prey Turkey, will be a good transition for her!! This is by far the best food I have found for my cats!.
For almost all of his life, my cat had been eating wet foods with chicken and a few types of fish. Recently, he started developing an allergic reaction (complete with hives), and our vet suggested that his food might be the cause.
She recommended switching to a food with a different main protein than his past ones, but I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to find a quality food with clearly labelled ingredients not containing chicken or unspecified types of fish.
This was one of the only foods that didn’t break the bank and still fit the vet’s recommendations! I am so grateful this exists. My cat loves it, and it even smells like a quality food. Tomato is the 3rd ingredient, and on opening the bag it smells like tomato soup! I like to add a bit of pet safe beef broth, and occasionally a bit of pumpkin and wheatgrass puree I found.
My cat has had no allergic reactions since he started this new diet.
We have been all over the place recently looking for foods for our two standard poodles. One of them is very picky, and was getting prescription high fiber food (very expensive) but that was not available for a while.
I did some searching and discovered that this one is higher fiber than most. Now both of our dogs are eating it pretty well. Their poops are good. The younger one (who is prone to stinky flatulence) has not been farting much with it, so that is another plus.
Their coats are good. The only downside I can see is that the large bag doesn’t have a ziplock or velcro type closure, so sealing it up again in a reasonably airtight way is difficult. (For dog food the velcro type closure is better – kibble dust can make the ziplock hard to reseal.

Purchased as back-up for a wedding chocolate fountain feature. Glad it wasn’t needed. The chocolate chips arrived as a chocolate blob and had a white surface. For a chocolate fountain, it would be fine.
But since I didn’t need it for the fountain, it would’ve been nice to use in making chocolate chip cookies, but I can’t use it for that as it can’t be broken apart. I love Sephra chocolate for fountains and the Belgium chocolate has a very long shelf life and have never had this problem when I have ordered directly from Sephra.
Bought dark before and again, tried the Belgian, it’s wonderful, immediately reordered. First order came faster than I expected, but second order is taking longer! Used to buy the dark from a local restaurant supply, that went out of business, after decades, just before covid.

Have tried three different types of beef jerky from Jack Links. The Original was loved by all that have tried it, (including a couple of bits nabbed by the pets)! The Teriyake, is very tasty, very moreish and a big thumbs up.
The Sweet and Hot was not my favourite but still very nice, not something I could eat a lot of at a time and would definitely last longer than the other varieties. On top of this I tried the Biltong, this was nice and thinly cut, being how it is prepared in marinade, it is softer than the beef jerky and slightly more fatty, still good though!.
This was an excellent product. Got it for my Dad for Christmas and he shared some with me and surprisingly they are making better and more tender and flavorful than they have in the past. It cost a little more but it’s well worth the price for the improvement in the product.
I would recommend anyone who likes beef jerky to buy Jack Link’s product. My Dad has been throughly pleased!!!! He likes the Black Pepper flavor that Jack Link offers but I am sure their other flavors would be tasty too.
