This bed is exactly what I was looking for. My 16 year old 10 lb Jack Russell has very bad lumbar sacral disease and dementia. After a recent fall off our bed, we realized she needs to be sleeping in her own bed on the floor.
The round dog bed that she loves during the day was not going to work for nighttime sleeping. She was waking up very stiff after being curled in a ball all night. She is used to sleeping on a Tempurpedic mattress with us, so I wanted a memory foam mattress that she could stretch out on.
This bed (medium) is perfect for her. She has made the adjustment well, and I am sure the comfort has helped with the transition. (Some reviews indicated it is not completely waterproof, so I placed a puppy pad inside, between the bed and the removable cover.
It hasn’t been tested yet, but I think that will prevent any problems with the inner mattress getting wet if she has an accident. ).
I have bought 6 different beds in the past 2 years. I’ve been trying to find a nice bed for my senior boxer pit mix. She has hip issues and advanced staged arthritis. I’ve tried to find something that wasn’t outrageously expensive so I could replace them over time.
I eventually used the cover of a bed I had and bought a 4 inch memory foam topper to make her bed myself. It has finally wore out. Anyway this bed is the first one that I am really pleased with. I weight about 155 and I can stand on one leg in this bed and not feel the pressure from the floor.
I bought the size large and she has plenty of room. I really think this bed is a quality item. I was skeptical when I placed my order but I’m actually happy with it! If it goes flat in a few weeks I’ll update my review but it honestly seems like it’ll last a while.
The material of the cover is nice and has nice seams and zippers also.
I bought 2 petfusion bolster bed for my 2 yorkies. They prefer their own bed. The color was brown. They had great instructions and the bolsters were already in the cover. You only have to slide the bottom foam into the cover.
It appears that they bolster filling is covered inside. I have to call petfusion to see if they can be removed for washing as I am not sure. These beds have a solid piece of foam on the bottom and it is firm.
My dogs were not too sure at first but they slept in them the first night. They now go into the beds as if they were there forever. I love these new beds and feel like the will last a long time and even better the dogs love the new beds.
My dogs are not chewers but one of them likes to make his own bed and I have had no problems. I just can’t comment about chewers. The cover is heavier than the average dog bed. PUT the foam in the bed before it expands and let the foam expand for about two days maybe longer.
It is much easier to let the foam expand in the cover.
Designed with extra care, your pet’s comfort is our priority. Your dog will get a solid night’s sleep in this Friends Forever Hastings luxurious bed. The cushioned plush poly-fill bolster provides your dog exceptional comfort, even for dogs with joint pain or arthritis.
The water-resistant liner and human-grade mattress foam will provide your pet with the comfort they deserve. This orthopedic bed has been put to the test proven to be durable and long lasting. Bed Size can perfect for a small or medium dog up to 30lbs provides great head, hip and bone support.
Easy to clean, the removable cover is durable, and machine-washable. You can remove the cover anytime with the pure metal zippers and keep your pet’s bed clean. The cover is also fur and hair resistant with an anti-tear cover, while the bottom of the bed is finished with a non-skid, non-slip bottom sure to keep the bed in place.
I have ordered MANY dog beds in my lifetime but this one is the WORST one of all!! Why? The top “zip in” filler for the “armrest” is impossible to completely insert. I have YET to completely zip it in without nearly losing my breath because of the tugging, pulling, stretching, while TRYING to move the zipper! I thought I was in pretty good shape but putting in this armrest filler role is horrible.
I would suggest the manufacturer use LESS filler or something but I would NEVER recommend this dog bed. To think I paid this much for TORTURE.
The fabric is silky smooth but seems quite sturdy. The base is nice firm memory foam. My dog automatically laid his head on the bolster. The medium bed is just the right size to be roomy but still cozy for a 60-pound pup.
My dog settled into the bed immediately and he has the final word.
It’s okay. Was hoping the mattress would have more support. The memory foam squishes down so you can feel the floor. Almost like sleeping in a blanket. The dog likes it but I’ll keep shopping around for a better version even though this was a bit pricey.
The contoured ends of this bed are specifically designed for neck support, promoting deep, restful sleep. Medical-grade orthopedic foam in the core ensures proper support. The cover is removable and washable; its underside is a moisture-resistant polyester canvas material.
We have a VERY large boi: a brindle mastiff very appropriately named Drax the Destroyer. His last dog pillow (not purchased on Chewy) met a dramatic end, and he urgently needed a new one. We shopped around a while before deciding on this one.
It seemed big enough for him, the right shape, and the reviews suggested it would hold up well and be easy to clean. I am very pleased to report that this was exactly the case. Drax has had his new dog bed two months now, and I have successfully removed, washed, and put the cover back on without wanting to yeet it into the sun.
Additionally, while the cover was off, I inspected the foam pad and found no damage from him digging at it to get comfortable. (His previous bed was shredded to pieces inside of the cloth cover because of this.
) The foam pad had also not absorbed a lot of the dog smell through the cloth cover, which was nice. We were able to air it out and give Drax a fresh clean place to sleep by that evening. So if anyone is wondering, this dog pillow is mastiff-approved.
This is a favorite dog bed in our household. This is actually the second of this bed that we purchased. The first time was for our previous dog (Tibetan Terrier-35lbs and Med. Goldendoodle-50lbs) who liked to sit on the bed together.
At that time we got the XL, Orthopedic option. This was our first experience with Furhaven and a wonderful one at that. The dogs loved this bed, it held up perfectly, and it really helped them both have a comfortable place to lounge instead of the cold floor.
This had been for the latter part of their lives when they started to show signs of arthritis. For our current 2 year puppy (Lab/Whippet mix-55lbs), we got the L, Orthopedic option. We found out last year that she has hip dysplasia, so it was important to us that she have a really comfortable bed to lounge in all areas of the house.
This particular bed was for times when she wanted to lounge or curl up by the in the family room. This is a narrower space that this lounger fit in perfectly.
I purchased this dog bed to place on a new sofa for when our dog wants to be on the sofa. The overall quality appears to be excellent in both construction and fabrication. The removable, washable cover is a soft fleece and has a very sturdy zipper and substantial piping along edges and comes in three neutral colors.
The price was beyond reasonable and considering the high quality, it was an incredible bargain. It is the perfect size for our small dog and sofa’s seat depth. My only criticism is the bed itself is not as soft as our dogs’ other beds which he seems to prefer.
That is just a personal observation and not necessarily a negative. The site is easy to navigate and the ordering process went smoothly. It did take what I feel was a longer than expected delivery time but it was not through any fault of FurHaven.
The shipper’s movements were slow. I recommend the Luxe Lounger Dog Bed.

These beds are not great, they’re AMAZING. They are literally the best purchase you can make as far as a dog’s bed. Unless your dog just destroys their beds, these are perfect. You can wash them whenever you want, they’re comfortable, my dogs absolutely love them.
I have two black labs and a white German Shepherd, So I have all kinds of hair everywhere. And these beds catch a lot of that hair. It’s awesome that I can go outside, shake them out, and then throw them in the washer and they’re done.
Over the years I’ve bought a lot of beds for my dogs, a lot of them tend to wear out over time, my younger black lab likes to chew on them and tear them up. But he does not do that with these beds for whatever reason.
So after all the 30 and 40 and $50 beds I’ve bought over the years, don’t hold a candle to the paw. com beds. They’re pretty much a one-time purchase and I’ve had my first one for over 3 years now, I just bought my second one this last November, 2021.
And now I have one for the living room and one for the bedroom, and next year I’m going to get another one for upstairs. And the dogs will have plenty of places to lay, aside from the couches ;-).
This is the absolute, hands down best pet bed ever!! We have tried other beds and our dog would not even go on it. She loves this bed, and we put the blanket on the floor in our room because we have new carpet and she stays on their all night.
We cannot even coerce up on the bed anymore. They are beautiful, look great in our home and are super soft and comfortable. I have not washed them yet but I have no doubt they come out like new. I would suggest purchasing the giant size for labs.
Our yellow lab is 75 lbs and we tried the large but it just wasn’t quite big enough. The thickness is perfect, probably 3 or 4”. Anything thicker and our dog doesn’t like it. Also love the white color, it has twinges of brown at the end of the fur and the bottom of the blanket is a beautiful dark brown.
Goes very well with our home decor. And arrived very quickly, in just a couple days.
I purchased the small pup rug curve specifically for the dimensions I needed in a small tricky space. Su pup insists on being in the kitchen and when she’s not actively playing Su Chef she needs a place to land comfortably.
I have a tight space where she’d but out from under foot nudged in between a bistro table/dishwasher/her dog bowls station and I wanted something stylish and that I could walk over to get through to access the entire area around there so this was perfect.
It was an instant hit – when I unboxed the cover and laid it out to test it for the right fit for the space Su laid on it for some serious snuggles immediately. We’re beyond happy it’s PERFECT. If I were buying a dog bed that she would use for longer periods of time other than when I was just in the kitchen and she wanted to be there too, I would get the extra thick version – this version is perfect as a pup ‘rug’ – comfy for pups and easy to walk over and not interrupt the flow of your space.
Casper Memory Foam Dog Bed, Large, Gray; Let sleeping dogs lie on foam with the Casper Memory Foam Dog Bed! This dog mattress is engineered by the same team behind all of Casper’s sleep products–including the award-winning mattress for humans.
It took 110 prototypes, 460 hours of lab testing, and 11 months of dog sleep studies to create a universally comfortable sleep surface that caters to canines’ natural behaviors. With features such as excess material to mimic the sensation of pawing at loose earth, and a bolster for head resting, Casper truly has your dog’s back.
Probably the first evidence of the value of my new Casper Dog Bed was that within a month, I felt so guilty that my silver Labrador retriever’s new Casper bed was not in our bedroom so he could enjoy his obvious comfort throughout the entire night, that I ordered a second one to give him the ultimate in comfort all day and all night when he chose to relax.
It was quickly obvious that it was the right decision, for precisely at “our” anointed bedtime, he no longer waits for me to head into our bedroom, but gets up from Casper bed #1 and stands in front of me until I stand up in response, then leads me to our bedroom and he jumps onto his nighttime Casper bed.
He knows without doubt where the best place for him to sleep is. But the most amusing action I get to watch every night is he pulls his large cozy blanket off his Casper bed, then goes to the center of the bed and digs down as if he his digging a hole in dirt while he twirls around until he has made a cozy divet to then circle around until he cozys up in the middle! Whatever material is placed in the underlayers of the bed as described certainly have the right effect to attract him to dig around in until making it a cozy place to sleep.
And surprisingly, after all of that digging on the material, no scratches or holes! Amazing!! I recommend this dog bed for any pet parent who wants to provide the ultimate dog comfort that will immediately be verified by just watching how much he/she enjoys being there.
Our soft coated wheaten terrier (27 pounds, medium size bed) loves her new bed! The bed itself was easy to assemble – even though the sides looked a bit too long for the shape of the fabric outer sleeve at first glance.
It took less than 5 minutes to completely put together, and the pup jumped up and immediately tucked herself in for the night. She is light enough to barely depress the cushioning of the mattress, and there is plenty of space for her to choose a spot for the night.
We chose the “sand” color, which is a perfect neutral tone for our space. The only minor consideration we have is that the light outer top does show small stains pretty clearly, as our dog likes to lick herself periodically through the night, and the remnants of her saliva are visible as small spot stains on the fabric.
It’s really not a huge issue. Otherwise, our dog loves stretching out on her bed and has some of the most uninterrupted sleep sessions that we have seen for her. The quality of the material is really fantastic and we can see this lasting quite a while.
I loved this bed till we had a vomiting accident the other day. I immediately took the cover off to clean off the mess and threw the cover in the washer. 4 washes later I can still see the stain. On top of that the liquid passed through the cover and on to the foam.
I thought a gentle soap and a little water with a bit of rubbing with the palm of my hand would quickly get this clean. Umm no… the foam started to disintegrate and the stain never did go away. It’s been in the laundry room drying for 3 days now.
I contacted customer service, but they weren’t willing to tell me one way or another wether the store would take it back or not. So my choices were drag this huge bed to the store and if they wouldn’t take it back, I should send it back by mail with no guarantee they’d do an exchange/return for me which would leave me with no bed at all at that point.
I guess I’ll just keep it. Seems like more trouble than its worth. I realize that the stain was an unfortunate occurrence, but the fact that the cover material and foam is so delicate it can’t stand up to one accident doesn’t seem right to be used for a dog bed.

Although I did not keep the one I ordered, I still think it os a great product. My 8 year old shih tzu is arthritic and needed a better bed. This is a very firm bed. It would best fit a dog above 40 pounds or so.
My girl only weighs 20 and it was just too firm fir her. It is well made, good zippers and removeable washable cover. Very soft to touch and doesn’t weigh a lot. Bolster stands up alone and provides great support.
This is an awesome bed. it’s super huge! I can’t fit it in my house, unless there’s plenty of space to put it go smaller. Besides the size(I ordered xlarge) it’s really nice! My 115lb German Shepard fits in it with tons of extra room.
Tucker Murphy Pet A cozy place to sleep: this dog bed fuses comfort and function for a superior dog bed breakthrough. This cozy pet bed is manufactured with identical materials and to the same specifications as $2,000+ mattresses.
The orthopedic memory foam design will provide your dog with a comfortable, healthy sleep. The cover is easy to launder and provides total waterproof coverage against accidents and fluids. Your choice of colour and size match your pet bed to the decor of your home or the mood of your pet.
How to choose the right size pet bed: There are a few things to consider when choosing a pet bed for your best friend, like where you will use the bed and how your pet sleeps. If you plan to use it in the kennel or in the car, you’ll want to measure the exact space the bed will fill.
Many of our pet beds are designed to fit standard kennel dimensions. If you are using the bed in an open space, like your living room or bedroom, consider your pet’s sleep position. If your pet sleeps curled up, a small, cozy bed is ideal.
If your dog spreads out in snoring, care-free sprawl, occasionally chasing dreamland squirrels, you may want to size up to accommodate. A general rule is to measure your dog from nose to rump and add 10 inches.
Although no one knows your pet the way you do, these suggestions should help you select the right size bed.
We have a two-year old GSD mix that we rescued when she was 5. 5 months old. We bought two of these Brindle beds – one for her crate and one for the tv room. We noticed that one bed was growing mildew or mold from the inside-out – you can see it through the waterproof skin.
Our dog does not tend to have accidents, either – maybe one or two since we’ve adopted her – so it isn’t a question of whether the waterproof skin doesn’t do a good enough job of keeping liquid out. Maybe it’s doing too good of a job and keeping too much moisture in? The company made good and replaced the bed, however, they’ll only replace it one time.
Now, the replacement bed and the second bed we had purchased have also become mildew-y and moldy, and so they both have to be replaced as well. While I really liked the look of these beds, the support the foam provided my dog (she does like the beds), and the ease of washing the removable covers, I’m really disappointed that in less than two years we have had to/need to replace three different beds.
I’ll be looking for another brand, hopefully one that has better quality foam.
We’ve had this bed as a crate mat for several months. My terrier mix thought he was in heaven when it first arrived. He loved it and still does. The mattress is firm and supportive and the cover is soft and waterproof.
The description says it’s not for dogs with “chewing behavior” so I thought “great!” I don’t have a chewer, BUT what I do have is a digger (typical terrier). He got upset last night when we used his crate to separate him from us when he was being too hyper.
Well, he dug a 3″ deep hole right through the cover and into the foam. It was everywhere and he was thoroughly pleased with his work! I do recommend this bed, but just note that if you have a digger, you may want to look elsewhere.
My pup is getting older, and I wanted to get her a bed that would support her for longer than a year. I purchased one in 2020 for her, and after some resistance and coaxing, she finally started sleeping on it willingly.
It became the bed she would go to first. So, when her previous favorite bed stopped being supportive, I purchased a second one of the Brindle to replace it. She slept on it that same night with no hesitation.
Now she has one upstairs and one downstairs. The quality of the bed is superb, and I expect both will last for many years to come.

This high-quality dog bed comes with a bonus surprise toy that your dog will love!.
We’ve three small dogs, Penny 9lbs, Gizmo 10lbs and Gus 17lbs. All are rescues so past histories are unknown. Gus has significant spine issues that are managed with medications. Gizmo has had surgeries on both back legs.
With their maintenance medications, I was looking for beds that would help ease their discomforts. I purchased two small and one medium of the beds from Barkbox. Right away, all three of them took to these beds.
My plan was for each to have their own. Sometimes that is the case, sometimes they’re curling in with each other. I was worried about purchasing a more expensive bed, but I’m so very glad that I did.
Penny, Gizmo, Gus and I highly recommend these beds from Barkbox. I won’t hesitate to purchase another.
Bed is great; love that its washable. Fabric is rough. like a backpack, but if thats what makes it durable, well take it. Plan for your doggo to want a blanket to accompany it. Stuffing is hard to zip in, feels like it needs additional securing inside; slightly worried that its a lot of strain on the zipper, even if zipper seems sturdy at first.
I wasn’t sure this bed was going to work when I unboxed it. And it was a little difficult to get the sides into the sleeves correctly because I don’t have a lot of physical strength. But my dog is 15 yrs old.
She loves this bed. I love this bed. Its firm. Easy to clean. I am buying my daughter one for her dog. Nothing on the market that I have found can compare to the quality and comfort of this bed.
This Self Warming Lounger brings space age technology to your dog’s comfy bed. There’s a space blanket liner inside the bed that reflects your dogs body heat back to him to keep him warm. You’ll hear a slight crinkling when you handle the bed, that’s how you know it’s there! Great bed for dogs with arthritis, older pets, or dogs in cold climates The lounger has a soft chenille-look outer in Spice color, with a comforting fleecy interior.
Eco-friendly 100% recycled polyfill is lightweight. Bottom of the bed has a non-slip material to help keep it in place when your pup leaps in. Keep your dog warm, comfortable, and more relaxed in the Self Warming Lounger Bed from Aspen Pet at Mary’s Tack.
I am slightly torn on how to review this item. First off, out of the box it is absolutely adorable. Color is very pretty but the quality is the issue. The bottom is a paper thin material that I would be leary of washing and for the price, I expected much better quality.
The outside is wonderful but the filling is weird, it is this crinkle stuff and feels like it would be made cheaply; however I am assuming it is the special self warming material. We bought this for our 7 or 8 pound rescue kitten who never looked twice at it so i decided today to put it downstairs figuring our 15 pound cat would probably crawl in and get all comfy, which he did immediately.
Per the reviews, it sounded as if he would not fit but for the cats that want to be in a tiny ball, they will fit. So I guess I would recommend the bed but not sure I would machine wash the bed, but I haven’t even read the directions yet so it may be spot clean only.
I don’t know why but neither of my cats will go near the beds. I bought 1 for each and put them in each cat’s room so no territorial issues. When I first put the beds out each cat sniffed their bed then walked away and never went near again even though they have used other cat beds.
That was several weeks ago and both beds are still untouched. Our house is cold in the winter, and I liked the idea of helping them stay warmer with this bed. Makes we wonder if the beds treated with something offensive to my cats.
I don’t think I will purchase anything from this manufacturer again as I don’t know why my cats avoid this product but not other manufacturers products. I’ll see if the local shelter might like to try them.
The PETMAKER Orthopedic Memory Foam Pet Bed is designed with comfort in mind featuring duplex foam construction: A two-inch thick layer of orthopedic memory foam offers support for their weight while the two-inch egg crate styled memory foam top layer distributes their weight evenly to limit pressure points while cradling your pet in any position.
Spot clean or machine wash easily with our featured L shaped wrap around zipper for easy removal.
This is my second recent purchase of a dog bed by PetMaker, and I’ve ordered a third. The orthopedic foam is firm and dense enough to provide excellent support at a reasonable mid-range price. If your dog prefers to nestle into a fluffy bed, this is not the bed for that.
If you’re expecting memory foam that allows the dog’s body to sink into the foam and conforms around the dog’s body, this is not the bed for that. This is an orthopedic foam bed that will support the dog’s weight and provide cushioning and comfort on a hard floor or crate.
Dogs with mobility issues may have an easier time getting on and off this type of bed because they won’t sink into it and struggle to get out. The foam does need a few days to fully decompress and reach three inches in height.
The cover has an almost velvety finish, and the fabric is on the thinner side. So if your dog tends to maul the bed, you may want to look elsewhere for a tougher fabric (or train your dog not to maul the bed).
Based on my initial impression, this dog bed seems to be of good quality and should last a good while.
While I cannot say that I personally used the product, my 70 pound Siberian Husky seems to appreciate the new bed. I put it on top of a frame so that he is off the floor by about 3 inches by a metal frame that reminds me of a flattened out sand chair.
The egg crate material has puffed up nicely as the packaging it came in was very deceptive. But it says it in the package instructions that it takes about 4 hours to puff up from its decompressed packaging, saves space in shipping and therefore money.
The brown velvety cover is nice and has a zipper for easy removal to clean. As Dakota is an old man, 12 years Saturday, he needs a little bit more comfort when resting and I had no problem picking this out for him.
He’s fussy, so it took a few days before he made up his mind but definitely last night was the night for him to try it out. He settled onto it and then never moved off of it maintaining his king of the castle attitude.
It’s a great product; has a good price and the quality is quite nice. Definitely could recommend this to other animal lovers!.
Ok so I have 3 great Danes. I thought they would love these. I bought 4 of them. no. they won’t go near them. so why do I give them 5 stars. I use them for exercise mats! They are great! Also. my husband thought our mattress was too soft.
I used a couple on his side under the foam mattress pad we have on the bed. They work great! Happy husband. Maybe not the conventional use for them but they work for me ! They are not hard but just firm.
They still have cushion but also good support. So they work great as an exercise mat.
With a shredded memory foam interior that conforms to your dog’s unique weight and sleeping habits to relieve arthritis, aching joints and hip dysplasia, this Brindle dog bed is a great gift for your dog.
Featuring a removable cover that’s machine washable and dryer safe and available in a variety of sizes, this dog bed is a convenient way to add comfort to your dog’s life. Size: Large: 40 inches long x 26 inches wide.
This is a winner, in terms of whether puppers enjoys her time in it. A bit too big still for her Australian labradoodle derpness but I think she’ll grow into it (she’s about 10lbs now, will be about 30-35lbs.
I got the 36” size). In the meanwhile, she scratches/paws at it to make it comfortable for her (i. e. , so she doesn’t slide off). Downside, she did have an accident on it and it took several rounds in the dryer for the memory foam to dry out (the interior is the cut up memory foam stuff).
Overall, I would give this a 3. 5 star. But it’s such a winner with the puppers, rounding it off to a 4.
The bed comes rolled up in an air tight plastic. Once you open it up, it takes a bit to fully expand. It’s lumpy at first but all evens out eventually (few hours). It has a removable cover. It’s soft but not so much that he sinks to the floor so it’s a bit firm.
When I first laid out the bed for my fur baby, he showed no interest of even getting on it. This surprised me because he usually takes to things that are his immediately. Once he realized it was cozy and all his, he curled up and he fell right to sleep! I think he approved!.
Can’t say too much yet as our dog won’t be coming home from the breeder for another 1 ½ weeks. I did want to let you know though, that unlike some reviews, from the completely flat airless shipping condition, this mat immediately started inflating as soon as it was taken out of it’s vacuum packed plastic packaging.
Took about a day and ½ or 2, to completely inflate to a seriously comfy, firm pad that entirely molds to a body laying on it. It’s JUST like my tempur Pedic mattress!! LOVE IT. Now, that said, the caveat: No dog yet.
Don’t know how it will stand up to a 60 lb Bernedoodle when full grown, or his pee. I hope to let you know within about 6 months. So far, I’m excited for his new bed. we’ll see. TBC.

I ordered 2 of these beds for my pups Xmas gifts. I have an older lady- 12 years old this year and she needed a TRUE memory foam bed. My other pup is 2 but large for his breed and needed something easy on the joints.
I love these beds. the cover is removable/washable and my girl already had an accident on her and I was SUPER surprised and happy that when I unzipped the cover, I noticed the foam mattress was already lined with plastic! The reason for the low rating is because when I unzipped it, I also noticed a tear in the foam.
Im not sure if this will effect the integrity in the long run or not but she is already attached to the mattress so returning it is just not an option.

We didn’t crate train our first two danes, but after much reconsideration with our newest dane baby, we decided to go ahead and try it this time. I purchased the best memory foam pillow, that I know of for her crate.
We use these crate pillows with our 3 dachshunds and have had very few issues with them the past 5 years. After 5yrs, the foams have no holes, rips or divits. On one of the 3 waterproof covers, there is a small tear at the seam, but Im blaming myself for that because when I removed it from the washer, it was tangled and I pulled on it.
On the outer fabric covers, one of the zipper pulls came off, but thats really no big deal to me as it went right back on. These have been washed approx once a week for the past 5yrs and Ive been very very pleased with them.
We wash&dry them right side out and fully zipped. Danes have arthritis issues later in life, so Im sure this will help her later on. I highly recommend this for a crate or for just a bed on the floor.
It is pricey, but with my personal history with these, it is worth it to me as I should not have to buy another.
We have 2 Beds for my 12 year old Golden Retriever Sammy, one in our Dining/Living Room Area, and then one in my Grandparents Bedroom for when he sleeps at night. The Bed is EXACTLY as Described and shown.
My Dog did have to get used to the bed. The Suede seemed to make him slide and fall when trying to get on or off. He started to lay on the floor rather than his bed. Now, we use the bed in my Grandparents Bedroom where he sleeps at night and it’s in a position where he can easily get on it and has more of an enclosed area around him for protection.
I feel he gains more Benefits of having it in the Bedroom because he sleeps on it all night and we use the bed in my grandparents bedroom for when he sleeps tonight and it’s in a position where he can easily get on it and has more of them and closed area around him for protection and I feel he gains more benefits of having it in the Bedroom because he sleeps on it all night.
Having it in the Dining/Living Area he wouldn’t stay on it long enough to get comfortable. I’m glad that we got it and if I ever found a Clearance Memory Foam Bed, despite his Age, I would buy it.
We have two German Shepherds and a Border Collie. One of our older pet beds was falling apart so we purchased this one a few weeks ago. The dogs have each slept on it once and then they don’t lay on it again.
They prefer the big soft round beds. This bed seems hard and makes noise when they step on it.
The Happy Hounds Oscar Orthopedic Dog Bed comfortably supports elderly dogs, dogs with arthritis, joint pain or other needs. It has durable, double-sewn boxed edges with decorative cording. The reversible design allows for longer use.
Water resistant, heavy -duty microfiber fabric reverses to a soft sherpa panel. Removable and machine washable cover with zipper. Cushion dimensions are +/- 2 inches. Please note product will arrive in a slightly compressed state; please allow a few days for product to expand to final size listed in description.
I got a bigger one for my dog and it’s the same feel and quality as this little one I got for when his little friend comes over. Very good for elderly dogs, but I would get this for a younger dog as well because it would help prevent joint problems early on.
The cover also dries fairly fast after washing compared to another pet bed I have so that’s a bonus.
My dog is picky! After buying and returning several dog beds because they weren’t large enough for my 80+ very long-legged dog, or they were too hard, this one got his full approval. I opened the package, put the cover on the mattress, and my dog immediately claimed it.
It is cushy and snuggly. It does not have memory or gel foam for stuffing so it may settle over time and may not work for very heavy dogs. My dog will not sit on memory foam- its too hard, but he loves this.
I love that I can unzip and wash the cover – although I haven’t had to do that yet. I have a similar bed that was a little less expensive, but the cover isn’t removable. Pros: True to size. Good for large dogs that like to stretch out rather than curl up.
Cover can be upzipped and laundered. Cons: White top. The “lamb’s wool -like” material is nice, but definitely shows dirt. I wish that there were color options for the top.
This is a must have bed for my furbaby who at times loves to stretch out on the hardwood floor. He has arthritis in his hips and laying on hard surfaces makes it hard for him to get up and tend to make him limp more after he does.
He loves this bed as he can lay curled up or totally stretch out with plenty room left. I was happily surprised with how big the large size is because you usually have to pay big bucks for big beds this size.
The thickness and the orthopedic top makes this bed so comfy and perfect for any furbaby. I am a proud and happy owner of a Happy Hounds Oscar Orthopedic Dog Bed and my furbaby is even happier and thanks you too!.
FurHaven Cooling Gel-Top Memory Foam pet beds provide a cool, comfortable space for your pet to snooze the day away. The gel foam core includes a layered orthopedic foam core topped with gel-infused memory foam.
Micro gel beads help keep the bed cooler while memory foam conforms to your pet’s shape providing superior support of joints and pressure points. Gel foam has cooling properties reducing the sleeping surface by 1 or 2 degrees which wicks away heat from your pet.
The superior support provided by both foam cores will help your pet reach a deeper, more restorative rest for you pet’s health.
Over the past two years, I have ordered FurHaven pet beds. Chewy was kind enough to credit me for the FurHaven microvelvet luxe lounger orthopedic I recently ordered. I had two other beds of the same style but the piping around the bed started pulling away from the seam exposing the foam so I wanted to order another one.
I ordered the same product in a different color. I was disappointed with the cover being too loose over the thick foam and the fabric on the back was not polycanvas as described. It was a thin cotton or polyester material.
My other two had the polycanvas back/bottom as described. I donated it to one of my animal shelters. With that being, I decided to order this FurHaven NAP deluxe memory foam dog bed. It arrived and the cover was loose over the memory foam.
Again, the description said the material was polycanvas on the bottom. The material used was not polycanvas. It is not a heavy material on the bottom which means it’s not going to hold up. I even checked one of my other egg crate beds which has the polycanvas bottom.
What is wrong with the manufacturers and the quality of material and workmanship of their products. Pet beds are not cheap and my elder dog needs a durable one because he has hip issues. He can’t get the traction from a soft pillow style bed when getting up.
Whenever I buy a pet bed, I always read the description and expect to get what is described. I guess the animal shelter will be getting another donation from me.
I DO NOT recommend this item and consider it a waste of money if your dog weighs more than 25-30 pounds. I ordered a large. On the positive, the dimensions are within an inch of the stated size (on the shorter side) which is a plus, and the cover zipper goes along 2 dimensions/sides so taking the cover off to wash and replacing it will be much easier than beds with zippers on only one dimension/side (which we never buy).
When the box arrived I thought they had shipped me an empty box or that I had by mistake only purchased a bed cover without the foam – it weighs nothing! But no, there was a foam pad inside the cover that did not feel like much.
I placed the bed on the living room carpet and gently pressed the palm of my hand on the bed and it sank pretty much all the way to the floor. This is not a very supportive Orthopedic bed – not compared to the other 5 beds we have purchased in the past for our two dogs.
I feel that the pictures are somewhat deceiving. In my opinion if you are looking for a nice supportive foam that can support a dog for more than a few minutes then his is not the one – unless your dog weighs under 30 pounds.
Our dog LOVES this pillow! We had an older pillow that was flat and she didn’t want to sleep on it and kept waking us up in the middle of the night, trying to get onto the bed with us. She is a 60 LB dog, so the bed wasn’t big enough for the three of us.
I purchased this pillow with the hopes that she would like it and would want to stay on her own bed thru the night and this pillow is exactly what was needed. It has nice THICK foam and a soft cover top, although I keep it covered with her little blanket.
We keep the pillow right next to the bed. She stays on her pillow and snores thru the entire night and no longer tries to get up on the bed. I am so happy! She’s very happy! We are all happy! During the day I slide the pillow under the bed and out of the way.
I haven’t yet tried to wash the cover, but I am sure there won’t be a problem there. This was a really good purchase and the best part is that our dog loves it!.

This bed seems to be well made. The back of the cover with the non-skid dots is not a heavy duty material. It is very thin. The top is fluffy and white and seems to be like a fur type material. The zipper is easy to zip and plastic.
The side material seems an average thickness. The bed is supposed to be 4 inches thick. It is not 4 inches. We have waited for it to expand and it has been hours, but it only measures 3 inches with the expanded foam inside.
Overall, I would say this is not a bad bed, but not the exceptional one either. I was hoping it would be more firm and thicker, but it will due for now. If you have chewers, would definitely not recommend.
The cover is too thin, and then the foam would be exposed for the dogs to tear apart easily. Luckily our dogs are not chewers. Hoping it won’t squish down after being used by 2 pugs that are 20lbs each.
I purchased the medium size for my 35 lb dog. I is supposed to be 4″ high, but after 3 days of letting it sit and ‘fluffing’ periodically, it is only 3″ (one corner did make it to 3 1/2″, but the opposite corner is less than 3″).
The cover appears well made, but the non-skid bottom only has tiny dots of something that does not stop it from slipping on a smooth wood floor. My dog has not tried it, yet, so I don’t know how comfortable it will be for his arthritis.
I did flip the foam around, so the memory foam is on top. The other side felt too firm.
This bed is thick , seems to be well made , seemed a little pricey , my dogs do use it all the time to lay on sleep , chew on chews and so on. I bought the biggest one and both my large 100+ GSD and a medium size dog will get on it , it is tight but they both fit on it and snuggle up.
They want to pull on the fluffy top if any little thing gets on it and down in the fluff , this worries me cause I know not much of that and I will have a whole and we all know from a whole it gets torn up in a short time , but I am with my dogs all the time so I can watch them and catch that issue but it would be a problem for others.
I would never put it in a Kennel they both would tear it up quickly unwatched. I have learned nothing stuffed (even toys) unless they are watched closely.
This mattress is designed to soothe your pal’s pressure points and joints so they can enjoy a more restful sleep. It features a deep egg-crate style foam core for extra support and comfort. The easy step-on mat design is ideal for older or disabled pals.
The zippered cover is machine-washable and the foam core can be hand washed to keep things fresh and clean. And as a bonus—the plush faux fur and suede sleeping surface is the comfiest way to send your precious pal off to dreamland!.
I do not recommend this product, or the other sizes. I bought this large one for my medium dog and a smaller version for my smaller dog. I bought them both in November. Over the past 2-3 months, the foam inside has become really really flat, even after purchasing the recommended proper size and thickness for my dogs’ sizes.
So there is very little support left for my pups and it’s really uncomfortable for them. These haven’t even lasted 5 months to date, and the quality was lost a long time ago. The only thing I like about them is that the covers are easy to remove and machine wash.
But I sure wish I had spent my money on a different brand, because now I have to replace these. And I shouldn’t have to replace them every few months. I have another bed that is complete memory foam from Frisco that has held up really well, but it is too small.
Great quality and super soft. Problem was, my GSD can get destructive sometimes and tore the cover just a bit. Filed a warranty claim with FurHaven that came with our order, replacement cover came about 3 weeks later.
Fitted on this model of bed (3-sided head rest) and the cover was wrong (2-sided head rest)! Upon filing a claim with FurHaven, I had to show a picture and proof to them that the cover was torn. I DID show them the 3-sided head rest bed and I don’t know how they could’ve given me the wrong cover! Now I have the bed fitted with NO head rest, of course along with the torn cover that I didn’t plan on keeping but might as well because it fits the head rest part.
TLDR: FurHaven sent WRONG replacement cover, kept the old cover because what am I to do with this extra piece of bedding? CHEWY is NOT in the wrong.
I purchased this from for my retired Guide Dog whom tore her ACL at age 2 & is now very arthritic. The bed is nice but not as comforting as I had hoped & the mattress portion doesn’t have any waterproof protection in case of accidents.
I needed to make these changes to make it as comfortable for my 59 pd lab as possible: 1. Added Memory Foam: I purchased a 1. 25” twin topper & cut the 1st piece the length of the bed bottom. The remainder fit perfectly in the center.
This added 2. 5” on the mattress center & 1. 25” underneath the holsters making it much easier to zip the cover closed. 2. Added Waterproof Cover Over Foam Pieces: I also purchased a twin protective cover as none was provided with the bed just in case of an accident with my older dog.
The twin size fit perfectly over the bottom foam pieces & the excess folded neatly to the underneath side making the zipper easy to close. I’m sure many wouldn’t have bothered making adaptations to this dog fed; however, my 13 year old retired Guide Dog is more than worth it & deserves the best I can give her.
Other than having to add the memory foam & waterproof protection, this bed is well made & most likely suitable for an animal without an injury.

The Ultra Plush Memory Foam Pet Bed is expertly designed to be loved not only by your canine companion, but you too!.
They look just as pictured. These are replacement beds from our previous Chewy beds that lasted many years. I think the dogs prefer the old ones. They are a little smaller than expected, I should have sized up.
Haven’t had them very long but they are comfy. I did not experience any smell but followed the directions of leaving open to air for 72hrs prior to use and I washed the covers before placing on the bed the first time.
Featuring triple foam construction, the PAW Memory Foam Pet Bed with Bolster is designed with comfort in mind. A 3-inch thick layer of orthopedic memory foam offers support for your pet’s weight while the 1-inch egg crate style memory foam distributes their weight evenly to limit pressure points.
Additionally, a 1-inch cooling gel memory foam keeps them cool and comfortable. This attractive, neutral pet bed also includes a removable shredded memory foam bolster for your dog to rest their head on.
Spot clean or wash easily with our featured L-shaped wraparound zipper for easy removal.
I had purchased this bed three years ago for my first German shepherd now we have a new puppy and I purchased a second bed. The memory foam has held up very well and its a nice thick material. Also the cover on the bed is removable for laundering you can even unzip and remove the pillow area.
It is shipped rolled up vacuum packed so once you open you will have to wait an entire day not just a few hours like they say for it to plump up to full thickness. I searched for a long time before I decided to purchase this bed.
I have 2 large older dogs, I decided it was time to get them beds that were easier on their joints. I debated between the large and x-large and went with the large. The beds are huge, both of my dogs weigh about 95lbs, and could almost fit in one.
As someone else noted, the fabric they lay on is very flimsy, and it is, but I’ll cross that bridge when it rips. The solid foam mattress is very thick, on top of that is a thick egg crate mattress. I unzipped the cover and slipped a self warming pad on each one.
My only problem is with Hayneedle, not the mattress. I went back into the website to show a friend, she noticed the bed was listed twice at very different prices. Unfortunately the picture I chose had the large at $8.
50 higher than the other one. So I paid $17. 00 more than I should have. This is a gross error on Hayneedle’s part. When you’re on a fixed income, and your dogs are your only family left, you do what you can to keep them comfortable.
But none of us want to be taken. The bed is great tho, would like it a whole lot better for $17. 00 less.
Phenomenal and is exactly as described. It does come flat in vacuumed sealed bag so follow directions and let it puff up for 24 hours. Also you have to fluff the border pillow. The padding is amazing and I wish my mattress felt that way.
My dog Scout is an 80 lb Pit mix and he fit great on a large with room to spare. He immediately got on it and loved the cooling gel as he had a spinal tumor and was paralyzed in his left hind leg. Unfortunately he only got to use it for a few days as he passed away today.
It will be used by his physical therapist to help other dogs in need of ortho bed. Great purchase highly recommended!.
Whether your furry friend is young and spritely or a little slower and getting on, our Griffith offers orthopedic support to cushion and protect their joints, so they can spring up ready for a hike in the canyons or a stroll around the kitchen.
The Griffith is spacious to accommodate your bigger pets, or many pets. And don’t worry about accidents—the cover is removable, washable, and replaceable, with a nontoxic waterproof lining to protect it from staining or smells.
Best of all, the tailored tweed lining matches all of your classic Brentwood Home décor. CertiPUR-US foam, with no chemical flame retardants, heavy metals, or phthalates Removable, washable, replaceable cover Waterproof liner Made in California Take Care Brentwood Home takes care of you with safe, natural products.
Now it’s time to take care of your new Griffith pet bed. You can remove the cover of your Griffith pet bed and wash it on gentle in cold water. Tumble dry on low or air dry in a warm, sunny spot. The foam liner is nontoxic and waterproof, so you can easily wipe it down with a damp cloth if there are any accidents.
I never leave reviews but in this case, I had to. I searched for weeks trying to find an affordable and eco-friendly pet bed after finding out about all the harmful products and chemicals used to make most pet products.
I finally pulled the trigger on the Griffith bed about 2 months ago and my pit mix and I both LOVE it (seriously it’s so ridiculously comfortable I even lay on it sometimes just for the heck of it). We’ve had a few slobbery incidents on it and not only is the water proof cover a life saver but the dog smell never lingers after washes like with most other products and fabrics.
My dog loves laying on it when he can’t find room on the couch or he just wants space to himself; large was the perfect size for all 70 pounds of him to comfortably sprawl out. And I’m shocked at how well the foam has held up to his weight and constant use.
Most foam products would’ve lost shape by now but this bed still looks fresh out the box. The price was on the higher end for me but I am so glad I bought it. The price truly reflects the high quality, and I get peace of mind knowing there’s nothing dangerous in a product my best friend is constantly coming in contact with.
I just can’t wait until my mattress goes so I can buy myself a Brentwood bed too. I would 100% recommend this to any pet parent looking for a safe and environmentally friendly bed for their furry friend.
I hate to write this review because we used to love these dog beds. I have 2 older Griffith beds that have stood the test of time and still look/feel great. Sadly, the most recent Griffith bed I bought (5/2021) is now made of different material and the quality is not nearly as good as the old style.
The cover has a waffle-stitched, padded interior liner that is falling apart after only one wash. Brentwood Home is working with me to send a replacement cover at no charge but, overall, I am disappointed with the product for the (not inexpensive) price.
It’s such a bummer because this has always been my go-to dog bed and I have encouraged many people to buy it.
My elderly greyhound is so much more comfortable on her Brentwood dog beds! We have both griffith and runyon beds throughout the house. We have tried many dog beds over the years, and these are by far the best.
My only complaint is my greyhound likes to dig before she lies down. I do have to keep replacing the covers due to rips, and they are not always available to replace.
As the ideal bed for a dog with arthritis will vary depending on the dog’s individual needs. However, some tips to keep in mind when choosing a bed for a dog with arthritis include: opting for a bed with firm support to help reduce joint pain; choosing a bed that is easy for the dog to get in and out of; and avoiding beds with hard or rough surfaces that could further irritate the joints.
Ultimately, the goal is to find a bed that will provide the dog with the most comfort and support possible to help ease the pain of arthritis.
