20 Best Beard Oil For Dry Skin (2023 Updated)

I wish I could say otherwise because I love the company and other products, but this was a hit. I love the ‘executive’ scent in the beard wash and conditioner and chose it multiple times even after trying the sample pack to make sure I wasn’t missing out on something else.

But I can’t even use this oil. It’s sitting on the shelf; I can’t bring myself to throw that money in the trash. I tried for a couple days, but the scent is just too strong and not like the rest of that line at all.

I was assuming it would be great and the right choice to avoid scent confusion. I was wrong. Hopefully others will have a better experience.

After reviewing so many beard oils and which one to buy(Honest Amish, Moutaineer, Grave before shave etc. There are so many!!) I settled on Shea Moisture beard conditioning oil. I have purchased the African black soap and love it so I gave this beard oil a shot.

I couldnt be more pleased and happy with how silky smooth my beard is now. I am at the inch length now and I apply about 3 drops(size of a dime) in my palm and begin to moisturize my face and beard. This oil lasts all day long and I love the smell.

You can see the ingredients and the oil profile is good skin and beard nourishing oil and I find myself sometimes adding an extra drop and rubbing whatever excess I have in my hair(crewcut) or on my arms.

You cant beat the price either. Most beard oils come in 1 and 2 oz bottles and can go upwards of 20 plus dollars. This is 9. 99 for 3. 2oz!!!. That is great value for an excellent product. I have referred all my bearded buddies to this oil and all of their man products.

Also pick up the beard balm too.

Well the verdict is in and hubby is one happy guy with all the goodies he got to test out from @bulldogskincareca he really enjoyed all the products but his favourite was the 2 in 1 beard shampoo. All three products work so well together from the beard oil, wax and shampoo.

They have a very earthy/manly scent but not too over powering. You don’t need to use a lot of product and the results you are looking for and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy. After using this for a few weeks he felt his beard was noticeably softer.

All products don’t require the use of much so these bottles will last a long time.

Purchased for spouse who’s tried several beard care kits, washes, oils, and taming balms with hot/miss experience. Spouse was hesitant as they were still halfway they their latest product which was still a “mehhhh” but after much urging and hearing me read the prior reviews, caved and cracked the seal.

This may be IT— the scent is Divine and I couldn’t help but keep leaning in to the beard for a deep sniff and cuddle! We were both very pleased with the product and are thinking of giving the full Bulldog line a try!.

I have only been using beard oil for about 6 months now. After hearing about the beard guyz, I started using this beard oil. I have noticed my beard and skin has been less itchy, and more moisturized.

I’m an avid user of hair products. For me, a great hair product is something that looks great when you have the time to wash, blow dry and then style properly, but also does a pretty decent job when you are in a rush.

This is one of those products. Murdock Matt Mud comes in a smart, dark blue, metal container with a big twist-off lid (see the photo). Why does this make sense? Because when you’ve accidentally taken a bit too much of the product onto your finger, you just wipe it off on the rim back into the pot rather than wasting it on the top of the lid.

These guys have thought things through. The product itself is surprisingly solid to start with but quickly works into a nice putty in your hands before application to your hair – no need to use loads.

It’s got a pleasant smell and does a good job of holding hair in the right place while not making it obvious that you’re wearing any product. It works well when your hair is completely dry and when only towel dry, i.

e. still a bit damp. However, it goes without saying that the hold and finish is better when used following a proper blow dry. I was impressed by the how reworkable the final look was. Restyle and shape throughout the day and it will hold well – significantly, I did not feel the need to wash my hands after reworking my hair, which is something that cannot be said for many other hair products I’ve tried.

Overall, a really decent product and definitely one I’d recommend.

This is definitely one of the better hair products available. The texture of the product means it’s easy enough to apply without that awful feeling of never being able to wash it off your fingers afterwards.

Smells absolutely lovely as well which is always a bonus. I use a decent enough application so I can keep my hair styled without it falling out of place within 20minutes. The hold on this is pretty average but it does work very well in that it doesn’t make your hair look or feel greasy.

Teamed with hairspray it holds a style surprisingly well. Given the amount you get in a tin and how long it lasts I would say this represents pretty good value for money. It’s one of those products that you don’t regret having.

So many of the cheaper and poor quality products aren’t fit for purpose but this doesn’t fit into that category at all.

I’ve been using the same brand of hairwax for many years, nothing special, so I was excited to try this ”Mud’ product. My normal ‘routine’ is quickly slapping a bit of it through my hair and walking out the door – I enjoy something simple that doesn’t take too much work.

This product is pretty good for that. It’s quite thick, rubs nicely together in your hands and goes easily in to the hair. The finish in the hair is very matt – it’s less noticeable than my normal wax, and it also isn’t at all sticky.

Not on your hands and not on your hair. It’s hold is pretty good – my hair is medium short, and it holds okay. I would imagine that on a short cut this would hold perfectly. It’s smell is nice but not particularly strong.

The mud does not leave your hair at all greasy either, even if you leave it on overnight. It’s a good product. Would I buy it again? I think I would.

I was excited to try this beard oil since I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect product to condition my beard, and almost every Kiehl’s product I’ve used has been a hit. Unfortunately for this one, I was not a fan.

It’s your basic beard oil, wasn’t too greasy or shiny–but didn’t really see much benefit from it. The one thing I couldn’t get over was the scent. It just doesn’t go with anything else I use, and clashed with my cologne.

Not sure what it is, but not a fan. The bottle is mostly full and is tucked away in case I run out of my primary beard oil.

I have a tick closed manly beard, this oil does the job at keeping your beard super moisturized, soft, good looking and your skin under it as well(nurtured). However, the scent is not as good. It smells like cooking Castor oil and a super subtle smell of wood, but the Castor cooking oil smell is more predominant, believe me when I say so, even my girlfriend noticed it lol.

I really hope they come with an improve version of this. Regardless of this, I will keep buying it because it is good on my skin!.

The beard oil is rather good. It is easy to work into a freshly cleaned beard and keeps the skin from itching like a good oil should. It seems to absorb into the skin and beard fairly quickly so you aren’t depositing it all over things that your face touches for half the day.

I was originally looking for a nice smelling oil and this seems to be topping many of the ‘top ten’ lists that I happened across with a quick web search. It scent is masculine but not overpowering and is a change from many of the wood-based smells that seem to be populating the market.

The price seems fair for the size of the bottle that you are getting when compare to competitors. I am happy with this purchase and it will feature in my beard maintenance routine for the foreseeable future.

purchased for my boyfriend after hearing him complain about his bread growing in. decided to experiment and purchased this as well as a beard balm. since we’ve purchased this a few months ago, there’s a noticable difference in the texture of his beard.

he’s no longer experiencing irritation under his jaw, it’s significantly softer, and it just looks healthy. he’s been using this product twice a day. it’s got a pleasant scent. absorbs nicely. will repurchase for him again.

Recently started using beard oil and Mitch is always reliable. I use this weekly and has little to no scent. I would not make any changes either. Packaging is cool too! I recommend to my bearded friends often.

A great product from Detroit grooming co. The absence of a dropper can make some argue it’s cheap on Detroit’s behalf but, any longstanding beards man or simple patience nullifies the absolute need of a dropper.

The composition of the oil is a very smart medium balance not making your beard to heavy or light. The oil instantly soaks in beginning to hydrate your beard and lasts for me in the construction world about a half a day as well as the strong pipe tobacco aroma cork town gives off.

Out of all the scents I’ve tried from Detroit Grooming Co. the Traverse City tops the list as my favorite. I didn’t think I would find another scent better than Corktown but I was wrong. Traverse City is the best tobacco scent on the market today in my opinion mainly because of the sweetness the cherry adds.

What blows me away is how the scent evolves to a better and better aroma throughout the day. I would highly recommend Traverse City to any tobacco scent lovers and would encourage anyone who find tobacco scents undesirable to give Traverse City a try.

It’s not an overwhelming “all I smell is a cigar” type scent I’ve found in other companies tobacco scents. I would best describe it as that addictive aroma you experience when you open a fresh new bag of premium sweet cherry pipe tobacco times 10.

These guys obviously put a lot of time in their research and have a great feel for what is preferred in oils, butters and balms for the beard and skin. They really have outdone themselves on this scent👍🏻.

I have recently purchased the downtown beard oil, beard shampoo, beard conditioner and hunter creek beard butter. I’ve used your guys butter and oil for quite some time now and the feel it has given my beard is absolutely amazing.

I love the neutral smells of the oil and butter in this purchase. I never have tried your conditioner or shampoo so I decided to try them. Let me tell you I love the conditioner smell is amazing leaves my beard feeling great.

The shampoo I wish was a little thicker and not so watery it doesn’t create that great lather it does make my beard feel clean and refreshed I love the smell of the lavender and bergamot. Your guys products always exceed expectation.

This really helps scruffy beards become tame, softer, cleaner looking & of course smell amazing without looking greasy! Like a nice shine. It helps me also because I would get a rash on my face just from a simple peck because his hairs stuck straight out.

I got this oil for my boyfriend. He is new to the whole beard thing, so neither he nor I have much to compare this to when it comes to other oils and differences in softening and conditioning the beard hair.

What I can say is this, though – The Pros: The oil smells wonderful – very masculine but not too strong (coming from someone with a sensitive nose). The oil is smooth and lightweight, and it doesn’t make the beard look greasy.

I put it on my face once and it didn’t seem to clog my pores or cause any irritation. For these reasons, I would highly recommend the oil. Some Cons: It is pricey. As I said, I don’t know how this compares to other oils, but I do know you can buy a 2oz bottle of other seemingly-trusted brands with great reviews online for $10.

Also, the bottle does not have a dropper. I did not have a problem pouring a small amount into my hand, but my boyfriend did his first time trying it. To avoid any future mishaps, I purchased a dropper online for $3.

If you choose to go with this brand, I would recommend doing the same.
