20 Best Bath Mat For Textured Tub (2022 Updated)

My husband is extremely particular and wanted a thick and cushy tub mat. After purchasing from several local stores with none meeting his approval, I came across this and thought I would try it. He actually was very happy with this one.

I’ll be ordering another one soon, just to have one ready when it needs to be replaced.

This mat is thick and makes my feet really happy. It fits the whole tub not just half. Dries really fast. Great buy. I highly recommend.

Just like my title says, this is a great quality mat. We have kids and preventing accidents from slipping while in the tub is critical. The suction cups stick really well and the mat seems quite durable.

I am very happy with this non slip bath mat. My elderly mother lives with me and I had been using anti slip strips in her tub. This is so much better and safer. It easily adhered to tub and I feel very confident with it and as it is definitely more pleasing to the eye.

Looks abit smaller than I imagined more of a standing matt than anything else. looks good though and functional.

I love this mat! Our tub is pretty slippery, and I wanted a good spot for my 1-year-old to sit in the tub that would not permanently alter the tub and would not start to look grubby. This is great! It does not cover the whole bottom of the tub, but that’s not an issue for me.

It has suction cups all over the bottom, so it does not budge, but they are small suction cups and it is not difficult to pick it up. It has drainage holes in the bottom so water doesn’t get stuck within the grooves, and it has just enough cushion to make it comfortable to sit in.

My favorite feature is that it can hang on the showerhead, however. So many bath-related things can get funky in a hurry, and this ensures that it stays dry and that I don’t have to find a place to store it or hang it elsewhere.

Pros: Solid construction, seems durable, no odors from plastic materials, no mold issues, allows water to seep through weep slits, convenient way to hang up to dry. Cons: Suction cups will not stick to most tubs that have textured bottom, slightly too long for our tub, needs a curved cut-out on one end to accommodate the tub drain (and not another hanging hook).

I have tried several bath mats for our 20-month old and nothing seems to work very well, including this mat. The material was a thick, hard plastic material. The suction cups on the bottom were also very hard and would not stick to the smooth surfaces of the tub.

Our tub does have a little bit of texture on the bottom and the cups would not stick to these parts (which I knew going into this purchase). I thought the mat would be large enough to reach the tub end-to-end, which would mean the suctions cups would be on the smoothe parts of the tub.

Unfortunately, the mat was not long enough for the length of the tub, nor did it stick very well to the smooth parts. I really wanted to love this mat based on the reviews, but sadly it had to be returned.

This is actually the first shower mat I’ve tried. I decided I wanted to try this product. Thought I might like to have something softer in the tub and maybe keep me from falling. I have decided that I could live without it.

I decided to put it in my other bathroom. I always wondered what you did to keep it from getting gross but you take it out and rinse it out e every time you use it. So that makes me feel better about using one.

I also noticed that i kinda tripped a few times. It stuck down really well but I think it’s because I’m not used to having something in the floor of my tub. But this one is super soft and nice soft material.

it also told me how to put it in, you put a little bit of water in the bottom of tub and it weighs it down. So you can put it down and it isn’t so hard to lay down.

The bath mat is a lightweight, but strong non-slip mat that works perfectly for our wild kids when they are in the bathtub. We have used a few different kinds of bath mats made of various materials that didn’t perform as well as this one.

This mat holds to the tub floor securely and so far hasn’t shown any issues with mold. I love that I can clean this in the washing machine whenever I need (as I know mats tend to gather mold and mildew over time).

The cushioning on the mat is soft and the kids love sitting on it (way more than the old plastic one). There are suction cups underneath the mat to keep it in place. Love this mat!.

One of my biggest fears is that I will slip and fall in the shower. Sometimes I’ll be in the shower and just feel my heel slip just an inch or so and my entire life flashes before my eyes. It’s terrifying, lol! I very much appreciate this tub mat.

It’s large, so it covers more than half of the tub floor. It’s thick and feels cushioned, so it’s really soft and comfortable to stand on. It has a lot of suction cups on the bottom, all around the sides and also in the middle of the mat so the whole thing is very securely suctioned in place in your tub.

They are thick and absorb water quickly and dry quickly as well. they are soft and absorbent. It absorbs water nicely when getting out of the shower. The size was perfect, the color is perfect. The rug does not slip around under your feet at all.

They are reversible which is nice. Love them totally,so glad to have them. Definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful bath mat. I love the unique style of it being round and it is really perfect for my black and gray bathroom decor. I love the pointed edges that give it a fun look and it has great absorbency for using when getting out of the shower.

Water doesn’t soak through to the floor underneath but I like that it doesn’t tell like a thick rug like so many bath mats these days. Its made with high quality material and hadn’t frayed or lost its shaped even with washing.

Wine is one of my favorite colors, it fit perfectly in the space between my shower and sink. Having tile floors in my bathroom, a bath mat is always needed to not slip or step on cold floors. An issue I encountered was with this mat is that there is no anti slip material on the back, it’s the same material through the whole mat so when using it on my tile floors it does move a bit.

The crocheted material feels almost like a towel which is fine with me. It’s definitely cute and the color is very nice but I’d really love for it to have some type of anti slip material to be safe.

This bath mat is perfect! It’s not a giant one which is excellent because I have a tiny bathroom. However, this bath mat is excellent. Plenty big enough to step on. And so absolutely comfortable! I highly recommend! It also dries quickly and stays in place despite not having any rubber grippers on the bottom.

I love it and I have tile floors in the bathroom and this doesn’t move when your wet and step on it.

I bought this a month ago and my feet are so happy I did. It not only looks cute, but is a dream to step out on each time I shower or bathe. The stripes look like a row of cotton balls as they puff out parallel to each other.

The grey makes for a beautiful match to my “Get Naked” shower curtain I bought on Amazon. My cat and I highly recommend.

The mat itself is nice and plushy. However, it is very difficult to clean. Throwing it into the laundry machine resulted in a lot of pilling. It is nice and thick to absorb water pretty well. Overall, the mat is only to be used for a few months and then thrown away.

Small bathmat. No tripping as it’s only about 1/4″ high. My husband likes it in his bath so I bought it for our daughter who also has a small shower area. Second purchase. Good deal.

Nicely made, just the right size. No room to hang a bathmat in our second bathroom, so this rolls up nicely and stands up out of the way.

We are using this in our shower. I wish they offered a wider version so it was easier to keep both feet on it at all times but it is working as it is and stays in place. It came folded up accordion style.

I hope it doesn’t wear out quickly at the fold marks. It is rinsed and hung to dry each day and we have not had any problems with mold. I would purchase again.

Bath mat works great. Tub had been repainted with the big box store “tub paint in a box” and needed a bath mat that wouldn’t destroy the finish. This works perfect. When showers done, we drape it over the edge of the tub for the next use.

We struggled buying mats for our textured tub, for our one year old to take safe tubbies. I bought this hoping it would work and its perfect! Its heavy and doesn’t float like I thought it might if we put a lot of water in the tub and its not slippy for our little one! We plan on buying another! If you have a textured tub this is a great mat! We pull the mat after the tubbie just so everything dries faster but it will dry if you let it lay it just takes longer.

I was so looking forward to using this mat as an aid to exfoliating my tired feet. The pumice stone cracked into three pieces after first use. The unpleasant oder of the plastic is still very strong and has not subsided with daily use after many uses.

I have a small bathroom and it the odor of the plastic is very evident. What an awesome idea though.

If I didn’t have the pumice stone on my bathtub mat, I wouldn’t take the time to use it. I love what it does for me all while in the shower

These three rugs are extremely comfortable. So soft. The colors are vibrant, so beautiful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I will be getting more for gifts as these rugs will be a sure favorite for the people getting these gifts.

The gray is a more of a blue gray which to me is not what is pictured. While they are soft, they stay wet for hours. I’ve had similar rugs that did not do this. There was also a really bad chemical smell that did not completely go away after washing and drying.

I have been using this bathmat for approximately 2 weeks now and the smell from the plastic is still very strong so I have only given it 4 stars. The suction on the mat is very good and it does stay in place.

I think the length is great, however it is a little narrow especially if using for children. It would have been ideal if it were about 3 inches wider. Would have given 5 stars if not for the smell.

I have a textured bathtub/ shower. I have fallen twice in it because the other mats came loose. Both times I got hurt. This mat sticks solidly to the tub. wet or dry it sticks. I have zero fear of falling.

I would advise letting it air out the very strong smell in a garage or another building. It does eventually go away. After a bath shower I pull it up and drape it over the side of the tub so there is no chance of mold, slime and things that grow.

You will love this mat. once the smell has left.

The material is just plain weird! It’s almost like a sheet of foam. I am a clean freak so I washed it immediately upon arrival. I have several rugs that I use in the same spot because I like to be able to wash them and have several clean ones at the ready in the closet.

That being said. It’s kind of stiff and stays in the shape of being folded for several days which makes it a trip hazard when you first lay it down on the floor. The pros are that it looks pretty much like the pictures.

It washes well, although I haven’t washed it much because it is a p. i. t. a. to wait for it to settle down flat once it’s been stored folded. I probably would not purchase again.

It is softer than butter soft. It is a joy to put my feet on. I’m not using it as a bath mat, but a non-slip runner for a small space. I have some questions about how absorbent it would be—I prefer cotton bathmats for that reason.

But as a small rug, it is an absolute delight. I wasn’t sure I’d like the texture (the one it’s replacing was not textured), but it’s delightful. Also, because the non-slip is in dots, it *can* be nudged.

The one it’s replacing was altogether rubber backed and to move it you had to pick it up. On the other hand, when the other one got wet on the underside it would slip and I think this one would not. Recommend!.

Excellent for bath long mat for 2 person vanity or shower to sink. Very absorbent, does not slip and machine washes to fluff again. Great for laundry room as well, padding in front of washer dryer, and clean space in case of dropping clean clothes.

This is a really nice bath mat. The color is gray for our bathroom. The mat is big enough, I would advise not to get the littlest size. That mat was way too small. Thinking of getting the larger one for in front of our vanity.

I bought something similar recently to use in front of the cat genie. This is the Only style of rug that traps the small liter particles. I will be buying another soon. All I have to do is shake this rug outside once a day (or every other day), then launder once a week.

I got the navy blue and it is a true navy, which was perfect. It is good to get out of the shower, but it bugs me that it is not a perfect rectangle. One of the corners is curved so it doesn’t lay straight.

I fold it over the shower step after it dries so the uneven edge doesn’t show.

I ordered tub mat in clear but they sent me blue. I’m not going to pay to return it but won’t order again from them. Too bad because I like the mat otherwise!!!

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve paid more attention to things where I might get hurt. One being a slick bathtub. I’d never used a bath mat but had thought about it. So, I decided it was time. This mat is thick and textured.

It’s a good size, 29 by 17. And it has many slip resistant suction cups on the back. It is not about to let go. It’s treated with something to help it resist mildewing and it is machine washable. I like baths better than showers and it’s a bit rough to sit on but it may soften with use.

I did feel safer getting in and out of the tub. The mat is textured to appear like a loofah. That’s what it looks like. I’ve only had it a week or so, have used it each time I bathed and I did feel safer each time.

I can’t tell you if it will mildew or not. It does mention in the instructions that bath oil or bubble bath may reduce the performance so if you enjoy either of these, it may not be for you. And you need to Be sure it does not cover the drain.

I ordered this on-line after another story canceled my order for a similar product. It is the right size and of good quality. The only thing I do not prefer is the sticky back. I never have trouble with cotton rugs slipping in my bathroom, and I like to scoot my bathmat to the end of the tub area and back to the middle of my small bathroom with my foot.

Unfortunately, the rug needs to be lifted and replaced. If you need a bathmat that won’t move from the place where you lay it, this is the bathmat for you.

These look great when you get them. You think everything is good to go, you found a quality bath mat. Then you wash them and an unholy amount of fabric comes off them. They’re never the same after that.

Good luck washing them a second time or a third. I had these for a year and I will be replacing them with Target bath mats. These should hold up a little better.

Love these bath rugs! Quality is excellent and hold up well even after several washings. I have ordered sets of two. love the green color and just recently ordered the aqua. Colors are vibrant and fun! The size is perfect for in front of shower and double sink vanity too.

Sticks to the tub when your standing on it, but when you are laying in the bathtub it floats up. Not sure what happened there, but most importantly it is comfy when showering. Thanks!

I purchased two Turkish bath mats for our cabin rental and found them to be not only very comfortable after a shower or bath, but they wash and dry beautifully! They look new after a wash and are so lovely.

Nice though fragile- if you have pets, their claws easily snag the loops and the mat is a mess after only being on the floor for a few minutes and had to repair it. Snags easily and can only use it sometimes after repairing it to avoid this.

Bought these for our new bathroom, just looking for something simple (but nice) to tie the space together. Really soft and comfortable on feet too. Would definitely purchase again!
