“Let’s get a non-player’s opinion,” said no one ever. But nevertheless, here I am. First of all, we have the Penn 1 and the picture clearly shows the Penn 3s, but I’m just going to ignorantly pretend they’re all the same! But as someone who just got into the sport on a whim, they work perfectly fine! They bounce, they’re round, classic look and feel, they don’t disintegrate when I hit them – what more could I want? Not the cutest or most luxurious packaging, but who cares? New plastic/tennis ball smell is kind of strong at first, but don’t sniff them for too long and you’re fine!.
First one had a dead ball. So I exchanged it. Same thing. One dead ball. Garbage. When I describe it as dead, it means that one will bounce visibly a lot less than the others. Will have to buy one of the more expensive ones and hope that they are better.
And another thing. Canadian Tire’s inventory said that the yellow ones were in stock. None were. Only these orange ones were on the shelf.
I like Penn extra duty balls due to their ability to last in multiple weather conditions. In Phoenix they last well in the usual dry heat, but also on those occasional humid days and occasional frosty mornings.
Penn extra duty balls also keeping bouncing well into the 3rd set on dusty court conditions, when other brands tend to fade as the fuzz accumulates dust. I highly recommend Penn extra duty balls.
Tourna Pressure less tennis balls never go dead and include 60 bulk tennis balls per pack. They are ideal for practice and for throwing machines. Pressure-less means they never go dead which makes them great for tennis practice ball machines filling up ball baskets and hoppers or just making sure your pet has hours of fun chasing these balls.
They fit Chuck-it style Dog ball launchers and automatic ball launchers. Durable rubber and a premium felt ensures their use Can be universal Whether your a budding tennis player or a pet Owner.
I have 2 Labrador Retrievers. Every day we spend hours (yes, hours!) playing fetch the ball and swim with the ball. My dogs are hard on the balls, incessantly chewing between throws. I was going thru tennis balls at least a dozen a week, with the balls coming apart and creating new chew toys.
That changed this week. My lab ladies still chew, chew, chew. But the ball stays whole!! Wow!! These new pressureless dog balls from Chewy are amazing! And a nice surprise? They are about the same cost as mid grade tennis balls.
But they are hearty and strong. And last for eva!.
They went bonkers when I left this bag of balls in their reach. The first day, somebody tore a hole into the mesh netting-bag when we had to leave -the culprit remains anonymous, but he knows who he is- even though it’s my fault.
The second time, they helped themselves to over half of the bag. Balls everywhere!!! Quality balls; they’re solid, no squeaking, and they’re tough for rough pups. Even though they are light-weight, they get great distance & bounce.
With anticipation of summer, I bought these for our precious queen that is a Goldendoodle. Fetching is her favorite pastime. Fetching on land is fun, but nothing compares to swimming for her. She also happens to lose balls like a silly cat does with their jingle-balls.
So the more, the better! There’s also so many in this product that I’ve been able to gift some to my father’s pack of pups. Will definitely re-buy!.
My golden is a rescue. We got her after a neighbor dumped her and grabbed some old tennis balls from the shed for her until we got toys. She loved them so I bought this multipack when getting the rest of her supplies on a whim.
I opened the entire bag and dumped it into her new toy bin. BIGGEST DOGGO SMILE EVER! She was so ridiculously happy and I think she felt reassured that we weren’t going anywhere and that this is her new home.
She’s calmed down tremendously and I think she just likes knowing she has a lot of toys and we’re not taking away her tennis balls. It’s also helped to calm her chewing habit. She just carries one in her mouth half the day from room to room.
So if your doggo likes tennis balls get them this sack of them. They bounce well and your dog will love you forever. I think I’m getting her the double pack for her Gotcha Day next year. Great bang for your buck.
Penn Championship is America’s #1 Selling Tennis Ball and represents the standard by which all other tennis balls are measured. It features a controlled fiber release for consistent nap, natural rubber for consistent feel and reduced shock, and interlocked wool fiber for longer wear.
Penn Championship is the Official Ball of the USTA Leagues. It is USTA and ITF approved and is available in extra-duty felt, regular duty felt, or extra-duty high altitude felt. The Championship Line provides quality play every time you hit the court.
We prefer to use the Penn extra duty balls. This one goes flat faster than the extra duty ones. The ball’s pressure are inconsistent even if they came out of the same can. Some came out firm and other are a bit soft.
They bounce well in the beginning but do not last as long as the extra duty ones. Overall, Penn balls are good tennis balls.
Make learning tennis much more kid friendly with Tournas Pressureless Tennis Balls. Easily transport your balls to the court with the included mesh bag. These tennis balls are pressureless, so they never go dead or lose their bounce making them ideal for youngsters who are just starting out.
The balls are designed to move at a slower speed giving your kids a chance to sharpen their hand-eye coordination skills.
I purchased this bag of tennis balls to use in a homemade treat puzzle for my border collie puppy. I place a few pieces of dog food kibble in a regular size muffin tin and put a tennis ball in each muffin compartment.
My pup smells the kibble and has to move the balls to get to the kibble. She’s small so grabbing the ball with her mouth isn’t easy. she’ll roll the balls off the tin with her paws and it actually takes a while before she’s got the whole thing excavated.
Tons of fun. I like that these come with a bag to store them in.

I know you’re supposed to use these to play tennis but use them as dog toys. I have a very destructive husky and when I buy him the tennis balls for dogs he splits them in half the same day I buy them.
With these real tennis balls he has not been able to break them in half. I’ve had them for several months and they are still going strong. He has lost the other two but we still have that he has not lost and it’s his favorite toy.
Official ball of USTA League Tennis. The standard by which other balls are measured. Controlled fiber release for a consistent nap. Natural rubber for a consistent feel and reduced shock. Interlocked wool fiber for longer wear.
Deep elastic seems for reduced cracking. Extra Duty provides greater durability on hard courts. Penn donates $. 15 for each can purchased to support breast cancer research.
I’m very surprised that nowhere in the description do they mention that a potion of all sales of these balls is donated to breast cancer research. I have always used Penn tennis balls and when these pink ones came along it seemed like a no brainer.
Sure there were a few laughs and smirks in the early days (I’m a guy), but these balls are common now and don’t garner a second look. Plus they have the added bonus of making it much easier to keep track of your balls as opposed to those belonging to other people.
In short, you can have a good quality ball and support a very important cause. Good luck and happy shopping!.

Penn’s Professional tennis balls are the most technologically advanced tennis ball providing player with top of the line core and felt technologies that allow the ball to play at its best for longer periods of time.
I have been wanting to try the Penn Pro Marathon Extra duty balls for a while to see if they provide longer durability. I am still in the process of playing them right now so do not know for sure yet.
I appreciate having the ability to buy individual cans to try them out, vs. the case which most other tennis suppliers offer. Wish the price was a bit lower, but hopefully they will last longer to justify the extra cost.
Really appreciate the hand written note along with my shipment – what a wonderful touch! Thank you and keep up the good work!.
This is the only ball that I used to use for competitive matches. I used to use them for training, but since the Pandemic’s supply-chain issues, the availability has been limited and the price has now increased 25% to around $100/case + delivery and tax.
Now I use these balls only for training due to their durability, and I use standard Penn balls for matches and literally use them for warm-up balls after one match. My guess is that the availability will increase, but that the price will never return to what it was pre-Pandemic, which is unfortunate.
I’ve played with Penn Championship balls for many years and was always dissatisfied with how long they retained pressure. Figured it was normal for tennis balls, though. In the last 2 years, I went to Penn Tour Extra Duty for hard courts and Pro Penn Marathon Regular Duty for clay.
Both kinds of balls last at least twice as long as Penn Championship balls in terms in terms of retained pressure. So they are definitely worth the extra cost of the basic Penn Championship ball.
Penn’s pressureless balls help slow the game down for those just learning how to play. The 12 pressureless balls are packed in a mesh bag with drawstring for easy transport and storage. The best-selling tennis ball in America, Penn is the standard by which all others are measured.
An ideal tennis ball for those looking for a casual practice session, Penn Pressureless Tennis Balls are great for players looking to fine tune their game. Long-life pressureless cores offer extended play value with Penn quality you know you can trust.
Great for use with a walker. They last just about forever indoors, last a long time on smooth concrete like a sidewalk. They’ll wear through in just under a mile on rough concrete or asphalt, but even there they last a lot longer than the more expensive pressurized balls, which have significantly thinner walls (and are no longer pressurized once you puncture them to stick on the walker.
) These are stiff enough that if you make an X-shaped hole to put the walker leg through (rather than a single huge straight gash like nursing homes and rehab hospitals often use) you can rotate the ball, make another X-shaped incision, and reuse the ball.
With a bit of practice, you can get three uses from each ball. I know this isn’t what they were designed for, but it’s what I use them for. :).
Get ready for sizzling serves and powerful returns with these Wilson Championship Extra-Duty Tennis Balls. Suitable for practices and matches, these tennis balls can be used on all types of hard court surfaces, delivering a long bounce that challenges opponents on the baseline.
Covered in Dura-Weave felt, the balls provide consistent bounce on the court and response off the racket when serving and returning shots. Size: OS.
I think, these balls are a tad heavier and smaller in comparison to Penn Extra Duty balls. But that’s what we like about them because the wieght gives us a good feel on the racket and balls also stay in with good amount of top-spin despite hitting bit harder.
Undoubtedly, they also last longer and the bounce is maintained even after one or two sets of play on hard court. The only disadvantage is that they are out of stock most of the time, maybe because everyone wants them.
My German Shepherd became very ill with fast noisy panting and breathing difficulties for days, after I bought a three-pack of these. It looked like he was in pain and he was going in to the vet for X-rays and an exam.
We were very worried. I looked at him with one of those balls in his mouth, and I saw the yellow fuzz on the outside had turned into a mushy gray skin. He was ill every time we went for a walk or outside and he had these in his mouth.
I took the balls away and threw them in the garbage and he quickly recovered. Do not buy these for your doh.
In comparing the balls to Penn, the quality of the Wilson balls are so much better than any of the Penn balls. The balls hold their felt during the match. There are no irregularities in the seams. Compared to Penn, the Penn’s have little tabs.
The Wilson balls have superior quality control in production compared to Penn. I make this comparison because our club only carries Penn balls. When I bring balls, I receive compliments on the quality of the Wilson balls.
Then my partners go and get the inferior Penn balls from the front desk when they have to supply balls. As a coach, I have stopped using the “coach” balls that other manufacturers offer. The Wilson balls hold up longer and the cost is actually slightly less per case.
The other balls are good for 2 weeks as practice balls. I am gettng almost a month out of the Wilson balls, cutting my cost in half. Thank you Wilson!.
Lobster Sports highly recommends the use of pressureless tennis balls, since standard tennis balls become soft and lose their pressure quickly. Pressureless balls provide such consistent results in both toss and bounce that it’s like playing with new balls almost indefinitely.
I’m constantly shopping for tennis balls for my dog. This is the best tennis ball I have found for her. My dog is almost 70 lbs. so she can handle the larger size. What I like is the ball has some give to it when you squeeze it and the red color is easier to spot when looking for lost tennis balls in the green grass.
including when mowing so I don’t run over the tennis ball. My dog definitely gives this ball 10+ stars. I realize these balls are meant for kids but my dog is proof they also work great for larger dogs.
You will not be disappointed. Just remember when you order them you are getting 12 tennis balls and they do not come in a bucket like the photo shows.
No one in our house plays tennis, but my kids and dog love tennis balls! These were the perfect size and shape to bounce, throw, and chew. My son tells me that opening the can is quite satisfying as well.
I’m sure these are great for hitting back and forth on the tennis court, but they are perfect for throwing against a wall, hitting with a reinforced wiffle ball bat, juggling, and throwing to a dog in the yard.
And for the price, go ahead and buy more than one can.

The combination of a good quality, first grade core with unique Hydroguard water resistant cloth technology has resulted in a truly remarkable all court tennis ball. Up to 70% more water resistant than the nearest equivalent competitor ‘water resistant’ ball, the Championship Hydroguard retains its playability in the wet for longer.

The balls don’t pick up as much water as there is less pelt. Unfortunately, we found that they didn’t last as long as other balls before the performance fell off, however it should be said this has been in Autumn weather conditions.
The Hydrogaurd Tennis balls I purchased were very good. Good bounce, maintained pressure and was only minimally affected when it got damp/wet on open air courts. A quick airing in the boiler cupboard and they felt as good as new for the next game.
Excellent balls for practicing for Stage 2 kids. I bought these orange balls for my son to practice. These balls are perfect for stage 2 as they are soft balls when they bounce they are slow as compared to normal tennis balls and good for practicing strokes.
