With its classic bass fishing design the YUM Dinger is a versatile worm that delivers real results in nearly any fishing situation. This soft plastic bait presents a very subtle lifelike action that even highly-pressured fish can’t resist.
YUM Dingers also have a unique hook slot that provides better hook-ups and they’re tougher than similar baits so you get more fish per bait than any other. The versatility of the YUM Dinger cannot be overstated as it’s equally effective on a Texas rig Carolina rig wacky rig weighted weightless or any other technique; bass just go crazy for it.
The Z Man RaZor ShadZ 11cm Soft Plastic Jerkbait features a segmented, fish-shaped body and forked tail that create an extremely lifelike baitfish profile. The Z Man RaZor ShadZ 11cm Soft Plastic Jerkbait pulls double duty as a first-of-its-kind floating/diving soft plastic jerkbait and the perfect bladed swim jig trailer to complement the new Project Z ChatterBait.
When fished unweighted on a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG style hook, the RaZor ShadZ floats on the surface at rest, yet a broad, sloped head causes the bait to dive on a twitching retrieve, creating a floating/diving action that cannot be duplicated by other soft baits.
The Z Man RaZor ShadZ 11cm Soft Plastic Jerkbait doubles as a perfect bladed swim jig trailer when conditions call for a bulkier ChatterBait profile to mimic full-bodied forage like bream, shad and herring.
A very very good trailer. The material is very nice and different than others. Like KVD Strike King Baits these baits WILL melt and melt everything it touches. But comon, who takes baits out of the plastic and stores them with other baits? DUUUURR I think its common knowledge by now most baits melt upon mixing with others but anyway.
Whether you are a weekend warrior or a seasoned pro, this easy to use top water lure is designed to deliver explosive top water action. Chunk and wind the Berkley Choppo around cover and in open water for a serious waking action.

Just like the real thing, fish just can’t pass up the Nikko Hellgrammite. Both largemouth and smallmouth love these baits, as do large crappie as well. Floating, scented, super stretchy, and long lasting.
You’ll go through a lot of fish before the bait gives out.
Used the Nikko Hellgramitte for the first time last year on Lake St. Clair. Rigged on 1/8 oz. jig head it caught numerous smallmouth bass and became one of my go-to presentations. The natural color was my best producer.
Last forever! I have caught over 45 fish on just 1 of these. This plastic is not as stretchy as Zman but more durable and has more detail. I own the new Nikko Craw’s also and they get demolished by big bass and still look new.
The Baby Bullshad is a collaboration with the legendary Mike Bucca, creator of the original Bullshad Swimbaits. The Bullshad is a heavy duty, trophy hunting swimbait responsible for catches on some of the biggest bass in the world.
It is also, however, a specialty bait requiring certain gear and performing best specifically in certain regions. Mike Bucca and Catch Co teamed up to bring a version of this amazing bait to the masses.
Let me start off by saying how I pretty much have fallen in love with this lure by accident. I bought this last year, used it with little knowledge how to use glide baits, and I got stuck in the weeds a lot.
Stashed it for the winter. Recently during a tournament I wasn’t getting a single fish on any of my confidence baits. I noticed the water was starting to get into a frenzy with shad and I hooked on my pearl bone Bucca.
I was cramming them instantly and ended up getting a check off this bait. I’ll continue to use this bait in the future. For the price, it’s amazing.
First impressions, it’s a small swimbait that packs a lot of amazing features and the paint job is superb. The bluegill and pearl bone particularly are the ones I pre-ordered. The sticky size 6 treble hooks will sure pin a bass down when you get a bite! After taking it out on initial pond tests, you’ll be smiling BIG, as you make casts after casts and just watch its awesome swimming action! If you’ve had Mike Bucca’s jointed swimbaits before, you’ll be feeling right at home with this small swimbait, the action is just like its bigger cousins.
It’s not same exact hard material, but boy, did they do an amazing job matching the action and even the fall rate (slow sinking). Whether you burn it and wake it just sub-surface, or count it down and slowly retrieve it, its swimming action is just a beauty to watch and I’m sure bass will be reacting to it and getting their attention for sure.
When you burn it through, you will hear the knocking sounds of the joints hit each other making a nice calling sound to the bass. I must admit, I find myself just casting it just to watch the lure go through water 🙂 So far, I’m very impressed with it and time will only tell when I finally land a bass with it.
For me personally, this is a perfect size lure for the gear that I already have. I don’t need to spend more money buying bigger rod setups to handle the bigger swimbaits. This matches the hatch perfectly around my neck of the woods, as well as help me build confidence to get really into swimbait fishing.
Way over rated. not even close to one star. Another poorly made cheap Chinese fishing lure. Mite as well buy a jointed TRUSCEND swimbait from amazon that is half the price. You can get three for the same price as one baby bull shad, and probably made in the same Chinese factory.
Maybe great for ponds under 100 acres or private bass ponds but not an ideal lure for big lakes and reservoirs.
The product of countless hours of research and development, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait delivers unique design and big fish attraction all rolled into one incredibly realistic package. Molded around an internal harness, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait eliminates the ripping and tearing that can be caused by inserts and provides direct connection to the bait.
– Utilizing Megabass’ Maghold technology, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait features a super-strong magnet that hugs the treble hook close to the body of the bait. This streamlined presentation allows the Megabass Magdraft to move through snaggy areas with less chance of getting hung-up and also hides hardware from discerning predators.
– Equipped with a tournament-grade swivel as well, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait eliminates a fish’s ability to use the bait as leverage, resulting in a higher hook-to-land ratio. On the sides, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait is fitted with two side fins that act as weedguards and help stabilize the action at high speeds.
– As lifelike as they come, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait features 3-D eyes and comes in a number of highly detailed pours that will match-the-hatch perfectly. Combining the advanced engineering of a hardbait with the smooth movement of a softbait, the Megabass Magdraft Swimbait delivers an ultra-realistic presentation that outperforms all the rest.
Whenever bass are feeding on minnows or shad, the Googan Squad Scout Jerkbait is the deal! Featuring a natural baitfish body shape and a perfectly balanced internal rattle system, the Googan Squad Scout Jerkbait provides a lively swimming action that will slash and dance across the middle of the water column with each twitch from the rod tip, which mimics a wounded or fleeing baitfish.
The internal rattles are also stashed in a chamber positioned in the belly that improves casting distance and calls fish from afar. For added visual appeal, the Googan Squad Scout Jerkbait features 3D eyes, a molded lateral line, and a custom paint job that brings it to life when it hits the water.
To finish things off, it is outfitted with a set of Googan approved black nickel treble hooks that are so sharp it’s almost dangerous. Offered in a variety of colors, the Googan Squad Scout Jerkbait is the ultimate jerkbait for bass that are actively feeding on baitfish.

This was the first time I’ve ever thrown a jerk bait. I was a live bait boy my whole life until a couple years ago when I caught my first bass on a trick worm. It was over. This year has been tough coming out of winter and into spring, I haven’t found much success.
I saw online that a suspending jerk bait might be the ticket. Boy was it ever, two different ponds I got smoked on my first cast. Neither of them were huge, but still awesome. The hooks are incredible, which I found out the hard way when I took one to the thigh.
The silver flash color looks awesome and clearly the fish like it a lot.
Because that’s what happened to me. Snagged in pretty sparse grass the second time I was using this on a spinning rod (8 lb test), tried to pop it free and the body shattered along the side. I’ve freed jerkbaits from wood/reeds while using heavier line on a baitcaster without even a bill break.
That tells me all I need to know about the durability. The action is. ok? Does not suspend, is not even a slow float, maybe a med float. Action is pretty similar to a KVD jerkbait or a Husky Jerk, without being as durable.
Colors are about the only thing this has going for it, but not nearly as close to Lucky Craft or Megabass. The earlier reviewer said it best: “Don’t expect a Vision 110”. I would amend that: “. or your money’s worth.
” Shell out a few extra bucks for a Vision or Rerange or Pointer, or spend around the same for an X-Rap, KVD, or Husky Jerk. If you really need something endorsed by loudmouth bros, pick up an IKE specialty colorway Rapala or Molix.
Love the jr. Scouts, they work great BUT the bills r weak and need improvement. I’ve broken 3 bills already and two were first time uses. The first two I didn’t get mad about because they were broke fishing rocky banks in the CA delta so I didn’t blame the lures but the 3rd one broke at a lake where I was fishing dirt and light grass bottom no big rocks or stumps in the way and it came out of the water broken then as I continued to use it because they still work just fine they just don’t dive as much, therest broke off but for $10 a piece with tax and to break them without trying in a single fishing day is pretty lame.
Everything else about them is perfect, they work great but those bills need some reinforcement or a stronger compound or something to hold up better. Like i said though, the first two I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and blame the harsh delta for it but that last one at the lake had no excuse.
On a positive note, that 3rd one did catch two fish with perfect hook sets before breaking. I never have problems with the hooks I’ve never lost a fish off a googan lure. Never change the hooks u use.
Features: The Z-Man StreakZ are Fluke-style soft plastic jerkbaits. Outlasts other fluke-style baits thanks to 10X Tough ElaZtech construction. Extremely buoyant material is ideal for topwater applications.
Deep belly slot makes for easy weedless rigging and solid hooksets. Available in 20 colors and 2 sizes. The Z-Man StreakZ are Fluke-like soft plastic jerkbaits. Mimicking a darting baitfish with uncanny realism, the soft, potbelly minnow design and thin pin tail of the StreakZ will entice strikes from virtually every fresh- and saltwater species that swims.
Comes with Super-durable ElaZtech construction helps them withstand repeated strikes without tearing or having to be replaced, and their buoyancy allows them to be fished at all levels of the water column.
These lures are made to the standard that I expect z-man products to be. I purchased this product to get a Z-man alternative to Zoom’s Magnum Fluke (which is a fantastic bait as it is) but being an avid z-man customer I always look for their alternatives.
the Elaztech in this particular bait has been “impregnated” with salt with the goal of adding casting weight and to sink faster. if you are familiar with Z-man products the material is much like that of the Zinkers, which are also impregnated with salt.
You, Will, need a weighted hook because Elaztech products do float due to their unreal buoyancy. I see no issue in adding a weighted hook because the action of this bait, in my opinion, is better than that of the magnum flukes.
I personally use the 10/0 Gamakatsu Spring Lock Monster Hook. Ultimately i have found that i will be using both the Zoom Magnum fluke and this amazing product just because the fluke is smaller (7 inches compared to the 8inch streakz) and I can use a medium rod with it and feel Farley comfortable.
Cons (to some): floats without a weighted hook need a heavy rod (recommendation from zman is a heavy rod with 30-50 lb braid. I direct messaged them on instagram and they responded very fast. Great customer service!).
The plastic lures from Z-Man seem to be the strongest around. Tuff yet very flexible. i used these for So. Cal. inshore fishing. Halibut love them. Most soft plastic lures dont last too long with the TOOTHY halibuts but these do.
I would have given five stars if they had a little bit more detail. I guess what really matters is that they do work!.
i frequently target bluefish and striped bass on Long Island and an effective shad/bunker artificial is crucially important to me, especially action and also some structural integrity. these have great swim action and although bluefish will terrorize ANY artificial plastic, these are very durable against striped bass compared to the name brand Bass Assassin etc.
will definitely continue using these as my go to bait for that target species. PS- these also work great for inshore and ocean fluking.
The Googan Squad Contender Swim Swimbait is the first generation of hard body swimbaits from the Catch Co. and Googan Squad collaboration. This 3-jointed, slow-sinking swimbait features an unrivaled life-like motion in the water.
Simply wind the Contender back on a slow, steady retrieve and let the natural swimming action draw in those mondo bites. Or try fishing the contender with a twitch-pause retrieve and provoke lethargic, skeptical bass with a wide, erratic, wobbling action.
Equipped with 360-degree rotating hook hangers, the Contender’s ultra sticky hooks spin freely and take away leverage from the fish during the fight. Furnished with deliciously painted details and a soft plastic tail to fool even the savviest fish, the rubberized matte finish feels soft to the touch and is incredibly durable.
The Googan Squad Contender Swim Swimbait gives anglers a cost-effective way to break into the swimbait game without breaking the bank. Googan Squad Length Weight Class Contender Jr. 4. 5″ 1oz Slow-Sinking Contender 7″ 1-3/4oz Slow-Sinking Upgrade Your Treble Hooks!.
The Googan Squad Contender 7” is probably, wait, the BEST Swimbait I’ve ever used! I personally think that this bait beats the Storm Arashi Swimbait and many more. I’ve caught Northern Pike, Walleye, Musky, Smallmouth Bass, and Largemouth Bass on this bait and it still hasn’t been destroyed.
The hooks on this bait are extremely sharp and also swivel around so that fish you have caught can’t use the hook as leverage. For example I remember when I first opened my Googan Squad 7” Contender and it literally just by barely even touching my skin hooked me and it got me good.
Youch! Another part of this wonderful bait is the pattern I find in my 18 years of fishing (My whole life). I’ve seen thousands of baits and have never seen such good patterns on a Swimbait before. For example the Storm Arashi Swimbait has 5 patterns, Blue Back Herring, Oikawa Mesu, Rainbow Trout, Black Silver Shad, and Threadfin Shad.
None of those patterns are helpful for where I fish, I am from Ontario, Canada and I fish at Kashe Lake, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada in the summer and my baitfish is Blue Gill (Sunfish) and Googan has really nailed it on the patterns with Gizzard Shad, Baby Bass, Blue Gill, Crappie, and Bone.
Their patterns actually resemble a fish unlike other companies, and also the Googan Squad Contender’s all come with this special paint on them and it feels like rubber but it’s actually a hard plastic bait, also I find that fish hold on to soft plastic swimbaits like the Storm 360० Searchbait and the Googan Squad Contender has nailed it with that special texture so that you get the feeling of a soft plastic but also get the strength of a hard plastic.
Another thing for a good Swimbait bait is the eyes. I love when the eyes take up a good percentage of the head of the bait unlike Rapala how their lure’s eyes are tiny and also are unreflective unlike the Googan Squad Contender.
And it also adds a more realistic look to the bait when it is of good size and is also reflective. Another thing is the tail and body. I love the body and how it’s not just some flat, measly little baitfish.
It has actual gills, a mouth, plastic around the eyes, and a good texture for the belly of the bait. And finally the tail, the tail is strong and durable yet is actually a soft plastic which I find if a fish hits it in the tail when they go to eat it they will commit to the bite more often because it feels like an actual fish tail not just a chunk of plastic.
Also the action of the Googan Squad Contender is also super realistic and also just looks so nice. I remember watching the video for it and in the clip of the underwater footage it just looked so real that I was just tripping.
And it also falls very slowly through the water column. I like to cast the Googan Squad Contender 7” very lightly as it already weighs 1 ¾ ounces and it already goes very far. Don’t try and force it further because if the bail closes or it stops feeding the cast line you can just say goodbye to your bait.
So just cast it very carefully and you’ll do just fine. Also on another note don’t underestimate the size of this lure because when you’re ordering it you think well 7” isn’t that much but that’s actually huge, it’s almost as big as some of the Musky Spinner Baits I use.
Another thing is to think about water depth, weedbeds, and structure in the water. You have to be very careful when sending it into shallow water as it is huge and will get stuck. It is also a year around bait where you can cast it year round at any time of the day and still productively catch fish.
One final recommendation is if you’re fishing a pond get the Googan Squad 4. 5” and if you’re fishing a lake I’d get the Googan Squad Contender 7”. So overall a wonderful bait which is ready to catch your PB right out of the package, the only thing is that they’re kinda pricey but it’s quality matches swimbaits that cost much more then it.
And finally experiment with the bait, don’t just buy one 7” Contender buy both a 4. 5” and 7” in your baitfish pattern. Well, actually buy it in your baitfish pattern plus the Baby Bass in both sizes and I guarantee you will catch your PB!.
I’ve been a big fan of googan since I started using Bandito Bugs. Wanted to try using some other googan products so started with jigs and frogs and liked them alot. Moved on to some hard plastic with the Blooper popper, got about one morning in it before I broke it.
Bought the Revolver, the revolving fin broke off in 30 minutes. Wanted to get into swimbaits and figured the Jr. Contender was a good starter swimbait. It looks really good in and out of the water, the action is fantastic, and it only took me 6 casts to get my biggest bite of the year.
Unfortunately, the fight only lasted about 5 seconds before I lost the fish. Upon investigation, I found the bottom hook hanger had broken off, leaving one of my bigger fish swimming off with a treble in its mouth.
Googan products look great, come in very pretty packaging, and fantastic marketing. But when push comes to shove, they will fail. Might not be on the first fish like it was for me, but it will eventually.
So if you like googan, stick with bandito bugs, unless you like losing fish.
The Googan Squad contender Jr has a phenomenal subsurface retrieve. I had no problems with the bait turning on its side and having a bad action. I was able to take it out on pre-spawn and was able to catch a 3lb bass.
Even for the $20 I spent on two of them I would not regret buying it because it brings in bass. The durability of the bait is very good and holds up well. The hooks are very sharp and sticky. Overall it does what I asked which was to catch fish.
Insane strike-enticing action the second it hits the water
Designed with a unique kicking action
While in motion the Googan Baits Bandio Bug looks like a swimming craw or minnow
Loaded with salt and a heavy dose of Slaunch Sauce that makes fish hold on longer
Perfect downsized option for flipping, pitching or adding to the back of a jig trailer. Elongated claws and multiple side pincers that are all equipped with a raised ridge, which generate a lively and fast kicking action.
Stuffed with salt and Slaunch Sauce attractant for an added level of attraction. Available in 14 colors. Delivering the perfect combination of profile and action they produce bites and put fish in the boat 365 days a year.
They feature elongated claws and multiple side pincers that are all equipped with a raised ridge, which generate a lively and fast kicking action. Additionally, their molded ribbed body produces substantial vibration that attracts fish from afar.
Deadly when flipped and pitched on a Texas-rig, but just as lethal when fished on the back of a jig, swinging jig head, Carolina-rig, and even a shaky head. Loaded with salt and a heavy dose of Slaunch Sauce that makes fish hold on longer, the Googan Baits Bandito Bug is one that you need to have tied-on every time you hit the water.
IšverstiShow in original languageI finally talked myself into trying these the other day and I threw this thing on a Texas Rig and decided to hit the pond. Within 30 minutes I had 3 solid bass on the bank!! Not to mention 2 blow ups fishing this on top just to see the action goofing off.
This bait is perfect for a Texas rig setup and has enough action to trigger the bites on bottom or swimming it mid/top water. I’m half way thru a pack of 6 so far and 7 bass caught and a index finger cut up and in a band aid from them slamming it so hard.
Trust the Hype on this one it will be well worth the money spent.
Pitching and flipping has a new go-to bait. The Bomb is a bulky 11cm creature bait with a unique ribbed body that displaces lots of water resulting in a straight fall. The tails sail when sinking slowly or flap wildly when moved rapidly.
The body is thinner where the hook comes out for easy hook sets but the head is solid and thicker so the bait stays on the hook in heavy cover.
This bait is truly something special, it’s amazing Texas rugged, it’s one of the best punching baits on the market, and if I’m throwing a jig more often than not this is the trailer I will be using! And not only does it catch fish, but it catches BIG Fish! The action on this bait is amazing but I believe the scent on this bait has a lot to do with its success.
Another great thing about these baits is how cheap they are compared to other soft plastics I use! I love them! Try a pack of these out and you won’t be disappointed!.
Great as a trailer for football jigs, like the booyah boo. This bait has produced some great winter bass for be this winter in deep water, and look forward to using it all year round! In my opinion, this is the best beaver style bait for jigs.
Weird piney/sweet scent and very oily/slick that the LM bass seem to love. Great price too! I get them when they are on sale, which is often- but probably only because it is a relatively new bait.
Like nothing most bass or bass anglers have ever seen, the GameChanger Lures Eeliminator grub combines the profile and movements of several popular bass prey to create one unique bait. The large body of the bait and the long tail combine to create an unbelievable swimming action.
Very versatile, the Eeliminator can be fished Texas-rigged, Carolina-rigged or even weightless and slow rolled just beneath the surface.
At first glance at these in my mystery box, I didn’t think too much about them. Tried one for the first time after having them for months just the other day. The feel of it and the look of it moving through the water made me realize that this bait was going to catch me some fish.
I wasn’t sure how to use them, so I tried Texas rig and the tried and true “lift and let it fall” method. I soon after decided I liked the way it looked in the water so much that I would retrieve it slowly to see what happens.
It started skimming across the top of the water and some thick grass, a 3lbs large mouth instantly came up, grabbed it and got gone. This bait has got me a fish on the line every time I use it, especially when the fish areas are over fished and seen every lure made.
Fish can’t seem to resist it, I love them now. It’s my new favorite baits.
I love these lures! I’ve used both the smaller and larger size. All catch fish. I have had best results rigging them weightless on a 4/0 hook. The lure has a crazy, almost walk the dog action, under water.
Combine with the tail action it really gives the fish something new to look at. It is also very versatile as a top water bait creating an almost buzz bait feature. During these hot summer days these lures have provided plenty of strikes when other lures just weren’t cutting it.
I really Love this Lure!!! I got it with my June MTB and used it for bass fishing and hooked up on many bass. if y’all really want to know how I feel about the lures i receive from MTB take a peak at my YouTube Videos @ Get hooked on fishing with Joe.
I open the box like so many other of your customers but what I do is I take the Mystery Lures and use them the entire month bass fishing. I’m not a big bass guy, more of saltwater guy. but i decided to get back into bass fishing because of the MTB.
If I have good days of fishing with the lures, then I order more, either from y’all or from the lure company themselves if y’all don’t carry them. I ordered from luncker city because the ozmo was a great lure too.
Another take on a classic bait design with legendary crankbait angler and designer David Fritts. The Berkley Frittside crankbait features the same proven action that won David Fritts the Bassmaster Classic.
Delivering proven balsa actions with the durability and casting performance of a plastic bait, the Frittside is a key bait for tough conditions when fish are sluggish or heavily pressured. ## David Fritts Pro Tip: Silent, tight actions are ideal when fish are sluggish or heavily pressured.
Perfect for very cold or very hot water less than 10 feet deep.
I bought probably 15 different colors and sizes. This has been our go to crank bait of choice. My son and his fishing partner fishes on the high school tournament trail. In there last 2 tournaments they have caught over 35 fish.
But sadly these baits don’t hold up. The bills have broken, cracked, or came off do to catching so many fish and hitting the bottom.
Ideal for pressured waters, Googan Baits Drag N Drop Worms are a tasty little dropshot bait that bass love to slam. The Drag N Drop Worms features a shad-like profile with shell-shaped segments that produce a tantalizing quiver.
The worms have a flat bottom, so they slowly glide through the water. If dropshots aren’t your thing, you can also use them on a shaky head or Ned rig. Googan Baits Drag N Drop Worms are a must-have item for your tackle arsenal if you’re a finesse angler.
A compact squarebill that packs a major punch, the Rapala Balsa Xtreme BX Brat Squarebill Crankbaits are well regarded as one of the best shallow running crankbaits to ever hit the market. The BX Brat is the perfect tool for power fishing through shallow cover like rocks, stumps, laydowns, grass and more.
The positioning of both the square lip and line tie cause the bait to swim nose down, causing the lip to be the first thing to make contact with obstacles. This allows the bait to aggressively deflect away from cover every single time, triggering reaction bites and keeping the sticky sharp VMC treble hooks clear from potential hang ups.
The BX Brat is built with a balsa inner core surrounded by an armor coating of rugged copolymer. The balsa core gives the bait a prominent wobble and swimming action thanks to its high buoyancy. The durable copolymer coating is highly impact resistant, allowing you to cast at docks and rip-rap with confidence knowing that one little casting mishap won’t cause your crankbait to explode.
Available in models with both 3′ and 6′ diving depths, The BX Brat has become a favorite shallow cranking tool of tournament anglers nationwide.
Bought 6 of these today to try. Reviews seem great! I bought the BXB-6 in both Blaze and Delta. Unboxing them at home I was shocked that the paint job, at least in these two colors were absolutely of terrible quality.
The front nose of all the baits by the bill was not even painted but still white base paint or just the plastic itself which was white. On both sides of each bait there was like a white spot where either the bait had been held by something while it was being painted or the paint was scraped off later but some sort of manufacturing process.
Absolutely horrible painting quality for a $10 bait. If they catch fish it won’t matter but just the idea a company as great as Rapala would lower their standards on some of the colors of apparently an otherwise great bait is very disappointing!.
I fish everyday (almost)! After watching Palaniuk and Omori make amazing catches on the latest televised Major League Fishing show I decided to try these lures for myself. I lived in Missouri for over 20 years and fished the waters they fished on Lake of the Ozarks many times.
I am currently testing both lures and so far the Brat 06 that Palaniuk used is outfishing the one Omori used. We have a crystal clear lake here on the Oregon coast that has smallmouth and largemouth and those pesky trout.
There is enough timber in this lake to build thousand’s of very large homes! Many are extremely near the surface, so far I have lost (0) lures to hang-ups and have had very few hangups at all! Both lures jump the wood relentlessly.
To be clear, for over a month now and on several different lakes on the coast the Brat 06 is outfishing the Lucky Craft 1. 5 that Omori uses. I tried various weights of flourocarbon and all the lighter weights including 16# test unload on my shimano curado reels.
I can’t get enough of these, I started buying the regular brat which I found to be on the small side, the big brat however is prefect for what I need. Great lure that performs excellent. I’ve caught plenty of LMB with this one along riprap, amazing action.
Only thing I’d change is that I wish it went deeper, not really an option with the squarebill but I’d like to see this same design and colors in a deeper lure. At the price Discount Tackle has them for you can’t go wrong.
Another take on a classic bait design with legendary crankbait angler and designer David Fritts. The Berkley Frit side crankbait features the same proven action that won David Fritts the Bass master Classic.
Delivering proven balsa actions with the durability and casting performance of a plastic bait, the Frit side is a key bait for tough conditions when fish are sluggish or heavily pressured. ## David Fritts Pro Tip: Silent, tight actions are ideal when fish are sluggish or heavily pressured.
Perfect for very cold or very hot water less than 10 feet deep.
I have eben watching the bassmasters and how they fish jerk baits so I reached out and asked several what their favorite jerk bait was and the response I got was the Berkley 110+. I ordered me some and had a very great experience ordering and actually receiving the baits.
Upon trying, it was shaky at first because I wasnt sure how to fish but after a few tries, it became like riding a bike. It is truly an amzing bait as I have had greater luck than I was expecting which is very nice for a change.
Easy to use and feel the action really well. I got the Ayu color and it works great in our southern Coosa River lakes. Thank you for making such a great product and ordering process. Very great folks.
Bought the cutter 110’s as an affordable option to lucky craft, & megabass. I was so well pleased with my purchase that I returned to bass pro & bought all the colors in the 90 & 110 sizes. Where I fish we frequently get bitten off during the cold months by pike & musky.
Fishing for smallmouths on light line is a give & take & it becomes less painful losing a $8 lure verses the ridiculously $25 that other bramds charge. I have fished the cutters beside the megabass & lucky craft & catch just as many fish on them.
A true workhorse, the Zoom Z Craw delivers advanced versatility and universal attraction that works across a broad spectrum of techniques. Originally built for flipping, the Zoom Z Craw was quickly recognized as an outstanding jig trailer, an excellent addition to a chatterbait, as well as, a standout companion to a wobble jig.
Designed with hook pockets on the top and bottom, the Zoom Z Craw provides streamlined rigging that is able to slip in-and-out of heavy cover with ease. Made to move plenty of water, the Zoom Z Craw features forward-facing ribs and two fluttering claws that waver with the slightest resistance, yet are subtle enough to remain believable in extra-cold water.
Infused with a tasty dose of salt, the Zoom Z Craw provides universal effectiveness that will make it a familiar sight in tackleboxes and storage lockers everywhere.
The Rapala DT (Dives-To) series of crankbaits, dive fast to a preset depth and stay in the “strike zone” longer than any than other crankbait on the market. Made from the top seven percent of balsa wood, this consistently perfect wood combined with carefully placed internal weights, tapered fuselage and thin tail design creates the ultimate crankbait action, found only in the DT family.
Ultra-thin polycarbonate lip digs the bait down quickly to desired depth. Swimming with a side-to-side action only balsa crankbaits can achieve, the DT cranks deep, yet pulls with ease. Perfectly weighted to rest in a “quick-dive” nose down position allowing for immediate descent to desired depth, the DT can be easily cast 150 feet.
Simply put, the farther the cast, the longer the bait stays in the strike zone. It’s the most effective way to cover more water and catch more fish. Internal baritone rattle is tuned for best sound performance.
Premiere finishes in all the right color patterns, finished with 3D holographic or painted eyes. Each lure is hand-tuned and tank-tested to swim perfectly right out of the box.
I bought the DT10GB (Bluegill) a few months ago and tossed it in with all my other lures in my tackle box. One morning a few weeks ago I went to my local lake in NC not to far from my house and started fishing the banks in my boat using my trusted yellow skirt spinner bait.
Hours went by and not a single hit. So that got me thinking that they must be deep because of the water temp and the scorching noon sun. I headed to the buoy lines that mark off the dam. After searching through my lures I put on the DT10BG and thought I will give this a try.
About 200 feet from the dam I started throwing in about 30ft deep water. I started catching one after another. I caught 12 largemouth bass and surprising never before 1 CATFISH on an artificial bait! I tried this lure again a few days ago at a private pond near my house and caught 9 largemouth bass.
I went this morning back to the pond and fished in very windy conditions and caught 8 more largemouth bass. Since then I have made this lure my go to lure to use. LOOK OUT BASS PRO SHOPS I PLAN ON BUYING EVERY ONE OF THESE IN EVERY SIZE AND COLOR COMBIATION.
I’ve used the DT series baits for several years now. Mostly DT 6 and 10. But a while ago I wrote the Rapala company to tell them how amazing these crank baits are. They have even out fished live bait.
I’ve caught pike, smallmouth, largemouth, catfish, large crappie, walleye, sheep head (fresh water drum), burbot, and bowfin. I taught my nephew how to fish with them when he was five. He caught 17 smallmouth in under two hours.
If you don’t have any you should get some. Terrific baits.
I picked up a few of these (10, 14, 16ft) models to troll and cast. They work very well and run true to depth. The color patterns are nice and bass will readily hit them. Now that the weather is getting warmer I am moving to fishing deeper water and these guys seem to do the trick.
I tend to start shallow and work out to deeper water till I find the depth of active fish. I have yet to break the bills on these crankbaits as other reviewers have bemoaned, but I also haven’t been running them into rocks (so time will tell how durable they are).
I think the size of the the deeper divers are a little big (goes with the territory of deep divers) so smaller fish will often be harpooned in the side with the rear treble hook (probably not good for fish survival).
Overall a very good lure and would recommend for summer time fishing when the fish go deep to beat the heat.
The Rapala DT Dives-To Crankbait utilizes high-quality balsa wood with strategically placed internal weights to produce a perfectly balanced crank bait. The body features a tapered fuselage and thin tail that creates the ultimate side-to-side crankbait action.
This bait is awesome, it has a tight wobble but yet it will flat out catchem in any season. I always have one of these tied at all times. This bait, like I said catches them year around becuase of there wide range to cover water depths.
The only down fall I have with this bait is that it’s fragile. It’s great that it’s made of wood and it does rise back up but they need to work on the connection point, from the crank baits bill to the bait it’s self.
This is a fish catching crankbait. As soon as it was hitting the water I was pulling fish after fish. I’ve used a color similar from another brand but it caught fish but most of the time I had to deal with it twisting around the hooks often.
As soon as I saw this color online I knew I had to have it because I knew it would catch fish and I mean big fish. I’m in love with Rapala because their crankbaits are one of the best one made. Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see what color or colors are next.
The Rapala DT series consists of excellent crank baits for large mouth bass fishing. They have high quality hooks and split rings, dive to the depths advertised, and, altogether, cover a wide range of depths from 4 feet to 16 feet.
The series comes in a wide variety of color patterns that allow you to mimic virtually every type of forage bass feed upon. They are made of high quality balsa so they float up over obstructions when you pause the retrieve, especially if you tie them on using buoyant, nylon mono-filament fishing line.
I have found the DT 06 and DT 10 to be the two most productive sizes, in either the original bluegill pattern in clearer water or the original shad color in stained water. I use them in lakes where the primary bait fish forage consists of bluegills and red ear sunfish, where the lures’ deep bodied profile does a good job of imitating the shape of the bass’s prey.
As different anglers have different preferences. However, some of the most popular baits used for bass fishing include live bait such as worms, minnows, and leeches; lures such as crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and plastic worms; and flies such as poppers and streamers.
Ultimately, it is up to the angler to experiment with different baits to see what works best in their particular fishing situation.
