20 Best Baby Wipes For Diaper Rash (2022 Updated)

I originally started buying these wipes a little over a year ago when I realized that my daughter has extremely delicate skin and gets rash after rash after rash. Sometimes it even gets so irritated it starts bleeding.

I tried every wipes under the sun, and got those because they say they are basically just water. Well, they are not the best of the best and they are pricey, but they work for my daughter as they are thin, soft and not full of chemicals.

I believe my daughter might be allergic to the chemicals on some wipes and diapers, even the “organic” ones, but that has never been tested. All three of my daughters have skin issues with thick wipes so I much prefer the thin ones.

The reason I bought those was because the daycare I was forced to put my daughter into (I was in the military and had absolute zero choice when it came to daycare) DEMANDED wipes and refused to use cloth diapers because they considered it unsanitary (at home I use gentle cloths and water, and cloth diapers).

And when babies had rashes they would use harsh, wet paper towels which made the rashes much worse, and then once the skin broke, they would send baby home and that had a major negative effect on one’s military career.

So I bought those to save my daughter’s skin as well as my sanity. They are really pricey to give to a daycare that doesn’t care about wasting, but they were what my daughter needed, and for that, I am thankful that I found them.

Also, the daycare refused to leave the wipes in their original packaging and had to open the package to place them in a wipe box, which caused them to dry faster. The packaging is fine, the opening flap doesn’t stay sticky for the whole life of the package but the wipes don’t dry up inside it.

One thing we noticed is that they are difficult to pull one at a time from the package, you often end up with 2 or 3 at a time. Also, when placing those in a diaper bag, they need to be placed with the opening at the top.

Otherwise, they make the other things in the bag wet. Two of the packages I bought a year ago went through a big move from Missouri to New York state, and were in storage for months through the winter.

I was afraid of using them after I got them out of storage, but they did not show any signs of mold and had no odor.

I have been a huge fan of the original WaterWipes as my pediatrician is not a fan of any baby wipes but these are 99. 9% water so I figured they would be ok. They have been working out great for me, so I ordered in bulk to restock.

When opening the boxes to put them away, my MIL noticed the difference in packaging. I read the labels and it seemed like the only difference was the size of the new bags and that the wipes were biodegradable.

Great, I thought, better for the environment. In the wee hours of the morning, during a diaper change, the wipes in my warmer ran out. So I snagged one of the new and one of the old packages to refill it.

I popped the OG in first, then opened the new one and man oh man did I get a whiff of something foul! There was a STRONG CHEMICAL ODOR that I wouldn’t consider putting anywhere near my precious baby’s bum.

This certainly wouldn’t be a pediatrician approved item! Proceeded to do what all mom’s do in the wee hours of the morning, I went down the “new WaterWipes” rabbit hole on the internet. Posts popped up immediatly with many parents experiencing the SAME PROBLEM.

Some poor babies even got horrible skin rashes from the product! I don’t know what terrible oversight happened with WaterWipes, but this needs to be fixed! I will be using dry cotton wipes (Honest Brand) and adding sterile water to them myself until WaterWipes corrects this atrocious misstep.

These wipes have changed for the worse over the last 6 or so months. I assume the R&D team at Water Wipes made some sneaky cost-cutting changes that they thought we just wouldn’t notice, but literally these are nearly unusable now.

The total length of the wipes has shrunk by at least an inch if not more, which for some reason makes them IMPOSSIBLE to get out of our wipes dispenser, and it’s also more difficult to get them out of the package, too — they come out in a big clump of like 4 wipes, and they’re still completely folded up.

When you’re dealing with an emergency poop explosion and holding down a wriggling toddler with one hand, you do not have the luxury of using both hands to painstakingly separate the wipes and unfold them!! These new changes seem like something done to keep lining the pockets of the C-Suite at the expense of the customer.

As others have said, the quality of these wipes is no longer worth the increased cost for less product. Water Wipes is going to lose a lot of customers over these changes and unfortunately I am one of them.

I have switched wet wipe brands so many times only to discover the ingredients weren’t so healthy after all. I came across Pipette after searching for a wet wipe that was truly nontoxic and wouldn’t break the bank! I’m so happy with these! They smell faintly of aloe Vera or a similar plant material that I like, no rashes on my baby’s skin from them & they’re lovely and strong! I’m so glad they’re not polyester.

I am definitely sticking with Pipette for my baby wipe needs!.

I like that the wipes are made with good ingredient, but they didn’t perform well for me this time. They did not have enough moisture and dried out quickly. They can also be challenging to remove prom package one handed, which is required at times with a squirmy baby.

I feel like the first sample pack I tried a year ago I felt it was better in moisture department, but maybe due to smaller packaging able to hold moisture better?.

These wipes don’t come out of the package well even if you move them to a dispenser. As a result, you end up getting several at a time whether you want them or not. You also often need two hands to separate them, which is difficult when changing a baby.

I also don’t love the watery feel they have. It may be because they are more natural but they don’t move over the skin smoothly. Just not easy to use.

These are the best fresh wipes out there in my opinion. Water wipes are better with their ingredients list lol, but they don’t give a really good, clean wipe. These are nice for actually cleaning the baby’s bottom, the fragrance is light which works for sensitive skin, I wouldn’t mind a little lavender though to freshen them up.

Also, I wouldn’t mind seeing the last four ingredients eliminated. And last bit certainly not least I would love to see these fresh wipes go 100% organic! All that is to say that I order these regularly and love them.

No need to post pictures because I see that there are a few people that have already posted pictures. My low review is about the wipes and the mold that is growing out of them its very disturbing and scary.

Made my skin crawl honestly because I was actually about to wipe my daughter with a wipe but when I opened the package I saw the brown mold and thank God I didn’t just brush it off because there’s no telling what it I couldve caused?!…possibly some internal issues for her.

It is upsetting because I’ve had these wipes for at least eight months because they were a part of my baby shower my daughter is currently seven months so I’m really upset because I spent my money or family members spent their money on this product and the entire box is wasted.

Another thing the shampoo and conditioner dries my daughter hair out and so does the lotion. The lotion caused her face to turn really red and broke her face out when she was one or two months old. Her face was hot to the touch, and swollen.

Please fix the issue because this is dangerous! Yes.

I bought a large case of 720 Honest baby wipes when Target seemed to be out of the brand I usually buy (Seventh Generation). In comparison, the Honest wipes are terrible. To clean up a poop with Honest wipes takes 2-3 times as many wipes as with my other brand.

They simply don’t clean as well. I have two little ones in diapers and a large box of 768 of the other wipes usually lasts us an entire month. I’ll be lucky if this box of 720 Honest wipes lasts us two weeks.

The Honest wipes also cost thirteen dollars more. It now looks like Target has discontinued selling the Seventh Generation wipes and I will be purchasing wipes elsewhere. With Honest wipes you pay more to get less of an inferior product.

Don’t bother with these. Also, my toddler says they hurt when I wipe her with them.

I love these wipes! Before having our newborn we researched different wipes and tried them out. These are definitely the winners out if them all! Our baby is good with them too. I like what they’re made out of and what had been added to them.

My only true issue is price. These are very expensive for the amount we have to go through with our new baby, but the quality is very satisfactory!.

I like that these wipes don’t contain anything that you don’t want on your baby’s skin – it’s hard to find products for babies that are totally safe, believe it or not. That’s the primary reason I purchased them, as well as the fact that they are biodegradable.

However, they have a strange, fruity smell and for that reason I’m looking for other, similar products to use. I would still buy them but not if I could get an equally safe, environmentally friendly product without the smell.

For decades I’ve kept baby wipes in my bathrooms for various personal/beauty hygiene uses & for my pets. This is the 2nd purchase of these wipes & unless they just quit making them, I will never use anything else.

Not only are they economical, but they’re excellent quality. The wipes I purchase are scented, but not overly so. They are thick & there’s enough in one pack to last awhile. During the freeze, when I had no access to water, I was very thankful to have them.

I kept suggesting my friends purchase some, because they were at their wits end not being able to bathe or basically clean their younger kids. Maybe TMI, but friends without kids thought the idea was awesome! I also take a pack with me when I go to the beach.

My dog hates to get wet, but I can clean him with wipes. He’s used to this! Sometimes tar washes up on the beach & I can use them to get tar off him in case he gets any on his feet. Overall. they’re perfect for any use.

There was zero reason to change the formula. Sodium Benzoate is an awful carcinogen. Nobody should be using it, alas the FDA says it’s GRAS even though it’s banned in many other countries. In addition it is closely related to aspirin.

If you have an aspirin allergy (as I do) it can cause bleeding, irritation, and other reactions. Unknown aspirin allergies in children can be deadly. The old formula was perfectly fine. These never went bad.

Now there are no wipes made without this dangerous chemical. This is a highly disappointing and unneeded change.

We got started using these on our first baby and have never looked back. By far the cheapest brand you’ll find but at the best quality you can get for the price! You would never know different buying these compared to buying another name brand.

The quantity is also amazing! We have been able to survive on 1 box during the first few months of our childs life. We think only a handful of boxes would be needed to actually make it though the first year.

As we age, things go wrong. I purchased these to help keep my bum clean – witch hazel is recommended for hemorrhoids. These wipes work well, smells good, and don’t leave my skin dry. My only complaint is the unfortunate execution of a great idea.

I used to always love these wipes, but now they are terrible. They were always the best wipes for the cheapest price. Recently I bought a case of these like I always had before, and noticed the packaging had changed.

I thought it looked nicer and fancier, but figured the wipes would still be the same. However, the wipes in this case are the worst wipes I’ve ever used. The hole they come out of is super tiny, which makes getting any wipes out extremely difficult.

The end of the wipe is really tough to find, so it’s hard to get each wipe out. The wipes are no longer tough, and basically every wipe I take out of the package rips into tiny pieces as I’m trying to get it out.

I’m very disappointed in these new wipes. Worst wipes ever, which is sad because they used to be the best wipes ever. I will be switching to a different brand.

Members Mark baby wipes are the perfect size and thickness. I have 13 grandchildren and have tried many brands of wipes. Some are too thick and some too thin. These are perfect! I prefer the fragrance free but have also used the fragrant ones – they are not at all overwhelming or too perfumey.

We use these wipes for make up removal and always have a package for when we take the kids out to eat. Quick and easy clean up with no residue left behind. One of my granddaughters has severe eczema and these wipes do not irritate her at all! I highly recommend.

Price is a bonus!.

Before the formula change these wipes were hands-down five stars all the way. Now they just stink and they’re awful. These were my absolute favorite wipes and didn’t cause my hands to get a rash where other wipes did.

I have extremely sensitive skin and the old formulation was amazing. The new ones make my hands itch and smell horrible for an unscented product. Please bring back the old amazing wipe. Why fix something that isn’t broken? Guess I’ll be moving on to a different brand.

I am a mom of 6 and I absolutely love these baby wipes and prefer them above all others! They are so soft and durable and perfect for getting my baby’s bottom clean. I sometimes have nights where I’m just too tired to wash up before bed, so I remove my makeup with a baby wipe.

By doing this, I found out that the wipes I was previously using were ROUGH and comparable to sandpaper (I’m exaggerating obviously) but I knew I had to make a switch ASAP for my baby. I have tried MANY baby wipes over the years and these wipes are my favorite for the softness they provide for my baby.

I purchase a couple of Huggies with Shea butter for myself as a wipe. Once used I started experiencing a bit Ong sensation where the wipe was used Even after washing the area with soap and water the burning persisted although diminished somewhat.

If your baby is crying after you have changed their diaper and are using this product please discontinue amd bath your baby. Poor little ones cannot tell you that their bums are burning.

easy to use and durable. one hand to push the release on the lid and one to hold on to baby. love it. they are so soft and nourishing on babys skin. the quantity in this particular one is less than the standard wipe but its worth the convenient one handed pop open top and moisturizers that are in this wipe.

These wipes are the most natural and gentlest wipes in the natural market. The organic chamomile and almond oil leave the skin nourished and the wipes are sturdy for every job. They never irritate even the most sensitive skin.

And I love how they use less packaging than other brands.

It takes us new mums a while to find the right product that works for us and our babies and there’s nothing more frustrating than finding one of your regular products has been modified and as a result the quality has gone down significantly.

We loved these Pampers wipes and didn’t mind paying more for them over some of the cheaper brands/ranges of wipes out there because the quality of these wipes was amazing. They were very moist and soft and it meant they were able to clean my baby’s bottom really well and without me having to apply too much pressure on her skin when wiping as the wipes cleaned the muck away very well.

Now they feel like wipes that have been out in the sun for too long. In addition to this, one of the most annoying things about wipes in general is how lots of wipes come out when you’re trying to pull one out but we never had that problem and it was another reason why we loved these wipes.

HOWEVER, that has all changed now. If this is what Pampers is now offering – quite frankly a product that is no different to the cheaper brands including the supermarket own brands of wipes, then I will either be purchasing those supermarket ones and paying less for the same thing or searching for a better product out there.

I can see that Pampers has gone 100% plant based with this product but it would’ve been nice if they had continued to offer the partially plant based one for parents like myself who want a product that actually says what it says on the packet- WIPES!.

I’ll start by saying I have fully cloth diapered 2 babies. We have used both pocket diapers and covers with inserts. While I LOVE that there are more products pushing cloth into the light, this isn’t all that different from the old g-diapers except you’re using PUL material and not really doing much different from a disposable other than adding a load laundry.

WHICH brings me to a huge point – the success of cloth diapering is heavily dependent on having a good wash routine. It easy enough to do with a little research (hard or soft water, using the correct detergent=enzymes.

and the correct amount, and also doing 2 washes with hot water = a pre wash and the main wash). ALSO there is a difference in handling poo if the baby is exclusively breastfed (water soluble, no additional step) or received formula (must remove before wash).

These are things that yes, having a disposable liner makes easier. but then if that’s a necessity for you, by adding a diaper cover, you’re just making the outside look pretty and doing more laundry.

HOWEVER, these liners would be great for families who cloth and need an easy disposable liner for travel or the babysitter. Also to add, this pampers diaper is the same style as Charlie Banana which are unique from other pocket cloth diapers.

They are great for chunky legs, but maybe not huge booties as they are narrower cut. Super soft and easy to adjust as there are no ride snaps to deal with and you can get a more custom fit.

When my little miracle boy was born he was in neonatal, whilst there his bum was getting really really sore to the point we would have to leave his nappy off! I was sent home using an oil gel and metanium to try and keep the sore at bay.

Initially I was using cotton balls and warm water for at least 8 weeks, but then when it comes to going out it’s not as easy just busting out the cotton balls and water so I was looking for pure water wipes! I did buy the actual water wipes but the price was a little high for the extreme amount I needed to keep buying them, then I came across pampers aqua! Defiantly slightly cheaper than the original water wipes, I like the plastic top as it stops all the wipes coming out in one which I’m sure other mums can resonate with me that it’s the MOST frustrating thing ever.
