20 Best Baby Swing For Small Spaces (2023 Updated)

I don’t understand the swings speed control. It seems when I set it or thinks I have. The lights go off and it stops. I lost the manual l the first day. So I’m trying to look up how the controls work and if there’s a short.

While the swing is durable, there are some major flaws. First, the seat belt is positioned too high up. It’s basically under my one y/o’s armpits and chest, so it wouldn’t work for a younger/smaller baby.

Then the safety bar in front unclips and you have to lift it up to get your kid out. Unless you have three hands to get your baby out AND hold up the yellow part (it slides up the ropes, but doesn’t stay in place), it’s going to slide back down and bop your kid on the head.

Also, it’s doable to leave it in place and just heft your child out from the top, but sometimes it’s hard getting their legs out without hurting them. Lastly, it sits up too straight. I think I can rig it to recline some more, but it doesn’t seem like it will do so without using some of your own ingenuity.

This swing serves the purpose we wanted, but adjusting the straps and getting the child in/out can be a challenge. Our daughter’s feet were dragging the ground on the standard setting for the straps and it was challenging adjusting the straps so she would be high enough so that we could push her without her feet dragging.

(Babies don’t understand to pick their feet up. ) The yellow bar in the front does raise up to make getting out easier, but it can be hard to pinch the clip at the bottom to get it unlocked. Definitely don’t recommend lifting the yellow bar to put baby in.

Just lock it and put them in through the top, then unlock the bar to removed the child from the swing. They slide right out, but this is not a good thing when you’re trying to put them IN the swing. Overall, you get what you pay for and this is a good swing for the price.

I bought this to go along with our play set and overall feel it’s good – but not great. It tips forward on the rope and although you can manually adjust it, it seems misaligned. I also wish the height was adjustable as it sits slightly too low to the ground.

Overall, baby loves it and it’s secure and safe so we’re happy with the purchase!.

I literally could not say enough good things about this swing. Since the day I brought my baby home she snuggled right in and looked so comfortable. The music and gliding back and fourth would put her out everytime.

I will be purchasing again for my new baby. Love love love this thing !.

Out of all the swings I have used this one hands done has been my favorite! Our baby loved it and I was able to put our baby down and get stuff done! I gave it to my friend who has cranky babies and I mean very colicky babies.

She said it was the best thing ever!! She wished she had it for her first kiddo. 💕.

I got this on sale and was a bit hesitant but it is soo cute and good quality. It took me about a half hour to put it together and the baby was climbing in before I could get the stickers on. I love the flat foot insert so smaller babies can ride without falling out.

I havent used it outside yet just pushed it around the house but it seems to push nice and easy enough to steer. The handle is a little awkward for short people. I am 5 foot tall and have to lean and reach a little weird to hang onto the handle but its not too terrible.

We got this thinking it’d be easier for kiddos to push through the grass since it sits higher off the ground higher than the normal cozy coupe. Doesn’t make it easier to push, front wheels get sideways easily making it hard for littles to drive/push, and if it’s sitting on a hard surface – like concrete – it tips over way easier than the cozy coupe.

We do like it because it has cup holders and a little truck bed, so cups and toys have a lot of places to go when kiddos are “out on an adventureâ€.

The color isnt the same as pictured. It is alot lighter in person. Assembly was not very easy. The plastic has alot of sharp edges which I am probably going to manual file down myself before allowing my baby in it.

When i received the order the box was DESTROYED. It looked so beat up. There was a decent amount of marks on it but it looks like it was made that way at the factory. Just not very good quality. The trunk is almost impossible to open as an adult so i am positive my child will not be able to open it herself.

Im pretty disappointed overall. If it didnt take so darn long to built I would return it.

This was purchased for our granddaughter. She loves it. We do also. My only complaint would be that the ropes that attach the swing to the swing set are too short. I had hoped to have her continue to use this for at least another couple years.

However, once she is old enough to remove the T-bar, there will be no way for her to get into the swing as it sits up that high. Other than that, the swing is sturdy and I do like the way the shoulder straps lock and unlock (it is not a system a toddler can figure out).

My 1 year old absolutely loves this swing. Very easy to install on swing set. Super easy getting baby in and out of swing. Lock is secure. Great product for the price.

My kids just love it. The buckle is big and keeps the toddler secure. The swing set is well built and looks durable. It is nice color. Both my kids love to play it.

I wanted to share pictures with this review, but all pictures include babies (either mine or a family Members) and I don’t feel comfortable. My child is on the LARGE size for his age group, and this seat just barely fits him.

He doesn’t really sit still anymore either which makes it kind of challenging but he did like it ha ha. He is 9 months. Tall for his age, but average weight. My nephew is 5 months old and this was a great addition for him for nap times, as he deals with acid reflux and struggles with independent naps and laying flat.

He also hates to sleep if he’s not in his moms arms, and the shape of this seat helped him feel snuggled so he did sleep in it independently. I love that it can rock both sides to side and head to toe.

Changing it up because not all babies are the same, and not all spaces are the same. Of course in order to be able to do this (and also to be safe) that means the base / legs of this swing have to be wide and substantial.

This made it kind of awkward in my house because I don’t have a corner it can be tucked in, so it takes up a wide amount of room in the living room that’s already small. I understand the reasoning and purpose for this, I’m just adding that in as something to think about.

I’m continuing to appreciate that fisher price is using more muted and soothing colors on things, especially for sleeping related items because nothing says “no sleep” like a bright red and yellow and blue swing hahaha so I’m glad it’s a calm shade and not something obnoxious.

In closing, another thing that’s definitely worth mentioning is the fact that this swing can work with batteries or with a plug in. In our playroom sometimes I move the swing in there, and there is only one good spot for this (as it is wide) and it’s not near an outlet.

I’m sure it sucks up battery quick, but the ability to utilize this as a feature is a big deal, and I’m sure a plus to many. The mobile is cute for a newborn, for an older kid it’s just a distraction and something to grab at therefor not sleeping haha.

It can be turned on and off. There’s 16 songs and nature sounds which I’m never been a fan of the songs, They are always strange and never soothing for my kids. Nature sounds aren’t bad and If you’re in a pinch and forgot a sound machine, there’s options that will do so that’s a plus as well.

The seat is super soft and you can sit it up a little bit. It seems it’s only slightly up or back, just two options. Which is fine because to be honest I was surprised it even had that as an option. This seat has sooo many more features I’m not even listing.

I feel like fisher price is truly doing an excellent job listening to feedback on products from consumers, and it shows. Thanks FP for a great item that checks so many of my “helicopter mom” boxes!.

This swing is so cute! I love the colors of pastel pink and gray, even though we have a baby boy. It’s not like he cares what color it is and little boys can like pink! The raccoon it features is adorable too.

I do think it a little strange that the tail is 3D, but it doesn’t detract from it. The hand ring toy is a nice bonus, though unnecessary. I like that the buttons are on the front of this one rather than the side like the old ones.

It’s just more directly visible. I really, really like that this one has both nighttime and daytime music. The daytime music is more upbeat and the nighttime music is soothing, especially because my baby will sometimes just sit and look around rather than go right to sleep.

The music entertains him and helps calm him. This swing is my go-to to calm my baby when he is fussy and I don’t know what else to do. It rarely doesn’t work. My favorite sounds are the bird and nature sounds.

They are so peaceful. It is also nice that this has the 5 point harness to secure baby top to bottom. Handy when they get more active or for when you can change the position of the seat to be more vertical.

Between speed, volume, sound choice, and position options, you can tailor this swing to calm and entertain your baby based on your needs. The 3 positions allow us to change up his scenery, his motion and be able to keep the sun out of his eyes from our dining room window depending upon the time of day without having to move the whole swing or remove him completely.

Baby swings like this are a necessity when it comes to fussing or being a drop zone when you need a few minutes whether for chores or just a break. Fisher Price swings have always been my favorite and this one is no different.

They last a long time too. My toddler used hers well past her first birthday, until she finally passed the weight limit. Most parents complain of having to wean from pacifiers but for us it was her swing.

We anticipate this to be the case with this one too. The only thing that could remotely be considered negative with this swing is the fact that the assembly instructions states that there should be a restraint pad that looks similar to the pad on Fisher Price bouncers; though, one was not included.

However, Fisher Price’s customer service really stepped up in light of this. I contacted them via email with the specifics and they responded quickly to let me know that they did not have any replacements to offer but they didn’t stop there.

They sent a WHOLE OTHER SWING and had this processed before I even had a chance to read my first response from them. We received the replacement swing promptly and we did not have to hassle with returning the other one.

Oddly enough though, the second swing didn’t have that pad either even though it is pictured and listed in the instructions. So, their customer service really shined here too, even though that pad was still missing.

Possibly an error in the instructions which is a little confusing, but not a deal breaker since the swing still functions without it. We are really happy with this swing and expect to use it frequently until my son finally outgrows it.

I love this Baby Racoon Swing. It is so adorable. First off, the packaging was very well organized inside the box. I loved how all of the smaller items were neatly and separately organized into their own small bags.

All the parts in the box were easy to remove and separate as well. This made the unpacking of the swing parts and the assembly very easy and user friendly. The instruction book was very clear and concise and easy to follow.

It did not take long to assemble the entire swing. I used the provided AC Power plug in to turn on the swing. My household does not usually have D batteries lying around so the inclusion of the AC Power was a huge plus for me.

One downside for me was that the smaller restraint pad that was supposed to be included was missing. But I have contacted Mattel and we will see if they are able to get me a replacement. Other than that, all parts were fully included.

The swing can easily be reclined or sat up with a squeeze of a button the back. The controls are very easy to use and are easily accessible. I love the different options for night or day music with several choices to choose from, as well as a few nature sounds.

The swing moves easily and smoothly when turned on. Another major bonus of this swing is the ability to turn it to different positions: front facing which rocks the baby side to side and right or left facing which rocks baby front to back.

Again, it was very easy to change the position at the press of a button. The material of the swing is super cute and soft. The Racoon is adorable and has a cute bow in her hair. I really love how the colors are soft, muted and relaxing pinks and grays.

The mobile has cute little animals that hang down and a mirror for baby to look up at. Overall I think that this is a great baby swing and I am very happy with it. It is super cute, comfortable for baby, easy to use and assemble and store, and I feel comfortable that my baby is secure and safe within it.

If someone told me to write about a product that genuinely saved our bacon this would be it. When I became pregnant with my 2nd baby I was adamant I would have everything, including a bouncing chair as well as a swinging chair! I chose my models and narrowed it down the the Baby Bjorn bouncer and the Nuna Leaf Grow swinging chair.

As we spent more and more money my dreams of having every type of chair and every type of play mat for different types of stimulus turned into a “stop being unrealistic and choose one or the other situation.

” I went with the Nuna as it seemed more exciting. Baby came and she did not take to the Nuna as we had hoped, instead of settling in the Nuna she became unsettled until being removed from the chair and falling asleep in the arms of me or my partner.

As much as we loved having those lovely newborn months with her sleeping in our arms my partner and me weren’t able to work collectively to keep on top of the chores or help my oldest with remote learning thanks to the onset of Covid, something had to give! In her first few months our baby very quickly demonstrated to us that she had a preference for being bounced so buying a bouncing chair seemed like the logical and natural solution.

In comes the Baby Bjorn seat. Long story short- it worked a treat! We were able to bounce our baby off to sleep and detach from eachother slightly and start running a more cohesive household again. The seat is genius, it easily folds down completely flat for easy storage and transportation, it has washable covers which come in a range of contemporary shades, we bought two and they apply very easily to the seat frame, the covers are breathable so no sweaty sleeping babies during heatwaves and no cold babies during winter.

The frame can be adjusted to suit your babies weight, the frame is also sensitive to the movement of your baby, the seat will bounce with every kick your baby does and soon enough your baby will realise and learn to bounce themselves to sleep.

Of course now my baby is older, bigger and walking she has taken a fancy to her Nuna seat which gets the most use at the moment for day time naps. Her Baby Bjorn seat resides in her room for the minute, she likes to climb in it and sit there leisurely every now and again.

At least I can say both purchases were worth it in the end.

For almost $300 I don’t think it’s worth the price. BUT I can say this is lasting me a lot longer then several baby items I have. She was 1 month old in this picture and now she’s 9 months old and still fits perfect in it! I put it in the kitchen while I’m cooking so she can watch me , I take it to the park or to relatives homes so she always has somewhere to sit.

As a baby I could just rock her with my foot but now now she has learned how to bounce herself in it and enjoys hanging out in it. I bought mine used in mint condition for $50 so I feel like I’m getting my moneys worth.

Now had I laid the almost $300 I would feel stupid lol. It’s basically fabric strapped to some metal. Not electronic gizmos or anything….

I recently purchased this item for my niece’s newborn. This purchase was my second Baby Bjorn as I had purchased one for my new little granddaughter when she was. born. My little granddaughter would rest peacefully and even take her nap in the Baby Bjorn.

She was so comfortable right there by you as she could bounce or nap. It is like a little cradle with movement that can travel with you. Lightweight ,snuggly and absolutely safe for your your little one !.

It is very durable. I love it for my grandchildren, because it has a kinda of lip on the front so if they were to bump their mouth, it wouldn’t be a straight edge to hurt them. They love it too. It was out all winter and didn’t hurt it.

I would definitely recommend it for anyone with little ones.

Great swing, however the chains are twisted on one side and then cast in the polymer coating so you can’t untangle them. We will return and try another one. Missed the QC checks I think.

Very well made and no doubt built to last a long time. It’s probably overkill for our needs but its nice to know it’s as strong and safe as a swing of this type can be and it certainly will not fall apart.

The seat is deep and contoured well to hold our son securely. The rubberized chain is perfect- the highest security and load rating as well as safe and pinch free. We hung this swing under a cherry tree in our back yard and he truly loves being in it.

I got this for Christmas for my 20 months old and he enjoys it. He have even fallen asleep in it a few times while swinging in it. The features I love about this swing are that it is foldable, seat is adjustable and foldable, and it’s not too heavy to move around but not so light that it topple over either.

The only thing I wish that could be better and improve are the ring locks on the pole that hold the horizontal poles pieces in place when folded. One light touch can accidentally get the poles to slipped out of the rings which can be dangerous if there are kids around or break things.

So just be careful with that.

I was hesitant to buy this swing for my granddaughter because of all the reviews describing the difficulty of putting it together. This is not the case. Everything is clearly marked and the directions are easy to follow.

My husband and I put it together in less than 30 minutes. It is a very well-built swing. It is easy to use in the house or to take outside. It easily folds. I am happy with this purchase.

This design is a bit awkward. Awkward to load between the two ropes, and unfortunate to also need the security belt as a second step to loading our toddler in (she can actually crawl out without it), and she can hit her face on the hard plastic front (which is quite large) during a moment of inattention, or with a too vigorous push.

I wouldn’t buy this again.

Really well made, looks good, great price. A bit awkward to get the toddler in and out, especially our little chunkster, but that’s not a design flaw, just the reality with any swing on four ropes. Once I got the hang of it, it got easier.

Great swing, best 50$ I’ve spent in a while. We’ve spent hours swinging in the backyard, nice for days you just don’t feel like going to the park! Only complaint is that the leg holes chafe a bit if she’s in shorts (I just put cloths there) or we wear pants.

However, that’s after quite a bit of time on the swing.

I bought this for my special needs 3 year old and if works perfectly. The safety straps were a little tight over his shoulders but luckily the straps can be strapped at his sides, still providing safety.

The ” leg divider ” goes up and down so it’s easy to get your toddler in and out. With all the safety features your toddler would be snug like a bug. Assembly was easy too, my 11 yr old step-son did most of it and the price was great compared to elsewhere.

I’m extremely satisfied and the toddler loves it.

Wanted a quality USA made product. This is for our petite grandchild who loves the outdoors. I love that it has the safety harness straps. As a toddler it will keep her from jumping or sliding out of the swing.

It was preassembled when we pulled it out of the box. Great plus. We ordered directly from Step 2 which I feel helps because if you have to contact them it’s easier. I do wish they offered more colors but the Aqua color is gender neutral so when more grandchildren come along there won’t be a problem.
