This volume is mainly a re-telling of the DBZ movie Resurrection F with some added material, but worse animation. If you’ve already seen or own the movie you could probably skip this one unless you’ve gotta own all Dragon Ball content (like me).
The return of an old rival and a new transformation for Goku and Vegeta??? Sign me up! Though if you’ve seen “Resurrection F”, there’s nothing new here. Just broken up into episodes for the sake of the series.
Release date: 9 November 2018. Suitable for the PS4. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 delivers a new hub city and the most character customization choices to date among a multitude of new features and special upgrades & builds upon the highly popular Dragon Ball Xenoverse with enhanced graphics that will further immerse players into the largest and most detailed Dragon Ball world ever developed.
I played #1 and beat it and had a lot of guys made on the first, I enjoyed it and its the same game just less lag input, slightly better graphics, and they completely fixed the master system which was a bit of a headache in number 1.
Id give the game a 2 thumbs up and recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the series and enjoys fighting games. The controls are easy to master and you can import your save data from the first on to it as well.
It is a must have for fans and good pick for someone who either is new to the series or just wants a game they can beat up some bad guys and shoot energy at them before pummeling them with a nice uppercut.
This game is really good if you’re already deep into Dragon Ball. Knowing the stories and the changes in the timeline. But it still has smooth fighting but at times it can get alittle dizzying with the teleporting, Also alittle frustrating with the events but overall a good game for regular gamers and an Amazing game for Dragon Ball Z fans.
Experience the story of Dragon Ball Z from epic events to light-hearted side quests, including never-before-seen story moments that answer some burning questions of Dragon Ball lore for the first time! play through iconic Dragon Ball Z battles on a scale unlike any other don’t just fight as Goku.
Live as Goku. Fish, fly, eat, train, and battle your way through the Dragon Ball Z sagas, making friends and building relationships with a massive cast of Dragon Ball characters.
DBZ Kakarot (Nintendo Switch): I’ve played numerous DBZ games in the past, some of my favorites being the Legacy of Goku ones in the GBA. I really liked how they would keep to the story and keep the player engaged throuoghout the game without warping the story.
DBZ Kakarot does this and more, what a great game, it really sticks to the source material from the Raditz battle all the way to the end of the Buu saga. Its far from perfect, they were really detailed in the first couple of chapters all the way until the Android saga, where they started using the Narrator a lot more to skip sections of the story and the pace does get a lot faster.
While Goku is the main character, just like in the story when you look back, for the most part he was out in someway or another. After Raditz – goku dies then revives for the freezer fight, but then disapears to Yardrat.
Then comes back for androids, but then gets the heart disease, then fights cell after recuperating from the heart disease, but then sacrifices himself to save the world from cell. Then comes back for Buu.
The Switch version has the DLC for the SSG and SSB transformation along with a sotry that sort of resembles the Resurrection F movie. I experience no crashes or lag until finishing the Buu sage (main game), once the post game came through, there were missions that were crashing like crazy, good thing there is auto save.
All in all, TLDR, what a great game, definately recommend. I had a blast, its a nice chunk of gameplay and the same great story that i grew up with.
DBZ: KAKAROT is a title best enjoyed as a novelty for what it is, that being an immersive action adventure title set in the Dragonball Z universe and recreating events from the manga/series. However, that doesnt mean its an unmitigated success either.
This is not a true open world DBZ rpg, as it was marketed and promised to be. Rather, this is an action rpg that makes compromises at many turns. The largest compromise and most glaring fault of the game is combat.
Rather than being open world action combat like it should be, the game jumps into a weird combat phase that suddenly gives you access to your fists and ki and turns the game into an arena fighter (not unlike Xenoverse).
Thankfully, I picked the game up cheap, so its been worth the money I paid. That said, I hope if they do make a sequel, they learn their lesson from this game. What the world wants and was expecting from this title, is a 3D and open-world version of the Legacy Of Goku series.
If you are an avid DBZ fan, this game will not disappoint. You get to play through the entire series, essentially watching the story again and getting to fight the bad guys yourself. Since it is a retelling of the story, the game can be long for some.
Including all side quests and storyline, I was able to finish in about 60 hours. If you don’t have a nostalgia for DBZ, this game will probably be lackluster. The fighting aspect is alright, but the side quests and “adventuring” pale in comparison to some of the other games available.
Do you want to build some things that the dudes you built can sit in? That’s where Figurerise Mechanics comes in! They’ve got you–and Vegeta–covered! The Saiyans attack at full impact with their space pod,now available as a model kit.
The space pod has a super impressive size of approximately 6 inches in height and even comes with Vegeta at the time of attack! The pod has the same scale as Figure-rise Standard so please enjoy and create the DBZ world with other Figure-rise characters.
Its interior mecha structure is faithfully recreated with a highly detailed structure of the hatch door’s movement and functionality as well as scale reproduction of the meters and seat. Set includes spaceship body,fixed-pose Vegeta (seated position),and display base.
Easy to build, I knocked it off in an afternoon while waiting for harder kit assemblies to dry. The decals (stickers) are effective, as is the pilot figure. Some assistance in holding the overall assembly together if you wish the panels to align perfectly.
Ve get a with the power of a super Saiyan God Super Saiyan! Utilizing the muscle build up system, the null has great pose ability while still maintaining the sharpness of the sculpt and likeness of the character.
Includes 2 Facial expressions that can be swapped, big bang and final flash effect parts, 6 hand parts for different expressions, and stand for the effect parts. Runner x7, stickers, instruction manual.
If labs series of nine inch movie collection figures are highly detailed, well painted, featuring multiple points of articulation, and including a wide variety of characters from the dragonball Z movie universe.
This detailed sculpt of Cooler perfectly captures the look and feel of the character. It is made of sturdy plastic with very nice paint application. Very pleased with the item and is recommended for any DBZ fan.
I bought this for my nephew’s 13th birthday. I was a little nervous when he opened the box and I saw all the little pieces that looked nothing like an action figure. However, in about an hour he had it assembled.
It looked great and he seemed to enjoy it. Gifting win!.
A lot of pieces to put together but fairly easy as all parts are well labeled and the instructions are easy to follow. Great looking figure. If you don’t have the S. H. Figuarts broly and its out of your budget this figure rise is a good substitute.
Both are the about the same height but Figuarts has more bulk.
Dragon Ball FighterZ for Xbox One brings classic 2D fighting game dynamics and visuals to the Dragon Ball universe. Take control of your favourite Dragon Ball characters and fight your foes in epic 3 vs.
What this game delivers on is giving Dragon Ball fans a true competitive fighter, but it also comes with shortcomings. The implementation of the lobby system feels forced and unnecessary and just complicates matchmaking all together, despite the actual cool landmark designs.
Especially given the servers are currently very unstable, and there’s no no benefit of ‘following’ people in the hub, they should have left the hub aspect to Xenoverse, even with the game’s focus on being casual friendly.
The story-mode is not as bad as people say, but the RPG aspects feel like padding, definitely feel unnecessary, and have no depth. Unlike the later Budokai and Tenkaichi DB games, the RPG aspects also do not have an existence in the Arcade Mode, making Arcade Mode already absurdly harder than it needs too be.
Story mode also has 3 different arcs, where the same story is being told in all 3 but from 3 completely different perspectives. The perspective aspect is what have some plot-events that play out in all 3 alter.
This includes dialogue also when the same characters are seen interacting again from a different arc’s perspective. It makes the story feel messy and disjointed at times. Initially, you wouldn’t even be able to tell if all the arcs are actually canon or interconnected.
Music is in-between good and average. Some tracks are good, but most are average. Stage design look good from a background perspective, but have no interesting dynamics actually going on in the background, making the actual stages bland and just a proxy to fight on.
Online is completely underwhelming and essentially broken. Constant kicks out of the lobby and long match-making. Inability to play with friends (and randoms) consistently because of no invitation system, but more importantly, the compensation feature (Ring Matches) for no invitation mechanic doesn’t do its job and allow consistent connectivity.
This is why I said earlier that the lobby system made things complicated as this would have been easily avoided with a standard menus system. Moreover, ranked matches lack any real penalty system, so rage quits are not rare and people are able to abuse this to pad their ranks and record.
Did I also mention that you don’t get rewarded any points if they disconnect? Gameplay. This is the best area of the, but the actual fighting gameplay specifically, as not all parts of gameplay are great (like Arcade Mode).
Competitively, there are weird aspects however, and they are discussed in the fighting game community. Two major issues being lack of push-block – when moves connect on blocking players, the characters do not move back and instead stay in place – and the dragon dash, which nullifies effect zoning entirely with non-beam projectiles.
It also destroys the ‘neutral’ aspect of the the competitive gameplay. But overall, the fighting gameplay is pretty solid, and is what you’d buy the game for There is no 1v1 though, it’s 3v3 all around (except story mode).
So if you’re looking for a competitive fighter, this is worth a buy, however, via a sale (online issues/lacking single-player content and balance). If you want a “Dragon Ball” game, you’re better off with Xenoverse 2 – especially given its price cut.
Absolutely love this game. I’ve been a huge dbz fan since I was a teenager. Graphics are amazing, voice overs are just like in the TV series. Game features a story mode that unlocks 1 new character after completing all 3 arcs, and 2 other characters can be bought with ingame currency, although they’re quite pricy.
The rest of the unlockable characters however, must be purchased in the ps store. There is also an arcade mode, practice mode, and local battle mode. Local battle allows you to play either 1 on 1 or setup a tournament with another player using 2 controllers.
You can add more than 2 players to a tournament bracket, up to 16 actually. You’ll just have to pass controllers around so each one can play. Completing tournaments, battles, and story modes yield zeni, an ingame currency that allows you to buy a number of items such as different character colors, lobby characters and colors, and online titles.
The controls and characters are easy to learn but hard to master. People of all ages can enjoy this game. There is a reason why it was voted best fighting game of 2018.
The graphics and animation are amazing. I’m a bit of a Dragon Ball fan, but I don’t like fighting games. I thought maybe this would win me over, but I was wrong. Gameplay is fast and overwhelming. Learning to play the game the right way with all its mechanics is very complicated if you’re not a 2D fighting game veteran or do not have fighting game aptitude like myself.
I found it very discouraging and not fun. Me trying to learn this is just as fun as studying for a calculus test. But if you love fighting games, this seems to be well made. You don’t even need to like Dragon Ball to like it.
So get out your expensive arcade stick that you compete in tourneys with and give this one a try if you haven’t already. It’s just like “MAHVEL”.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (Sony Playstation 2 Games) Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 takes the lightning-fast fighting, flying and action featured in its predecessor and takes it to a whole new level with exciting new features, such as access to more than 150 playable characters, enhanced fighting techniques, and over 20 different battle stages.
In Budokai Tenkaichi 3, different stages will occur in daytime or nighttime, with the presence of the moon allowing certain characters to transform and gain powerful new attacks! Additionally, a Disc Fusion System will be exclusively available to the PlayStation 2 console, allowing players to use Budokai Tenkaichi 1 and or Budokai Tenkaichi 2 to unlock exclusive game modes.
This game is a dragonball fans dream come true as it boasts a stunning roster of over 150 available fighters, competing in planet shattering battles over a variety of stages. Even for those who scoff at the idea of dragonball will be compelled by the games fun fighting style.
The controls are relatively intuitive and the special moves are very true to the show. Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 has a very simple control layout; A to punch, B for ki blasts, C and Z to fly up and down.
Combos are relatively easy to pull off and the flashy special attacks are performed by replicating the shows counterpart with the wiimote. For example, to do a kamehameha, you perform the motions of a kamehameha with the wiimote while holding left on the d-pad.
While this may seem like a catastrophic decision, the results end up being much funner and less gimmicky than you might expect from a licensed Wii fighting game. The graphics are great especially considering that the game was co-developed for both the wii and ps2, and it has a very DBZ feel.
Sound effects are a bit grainy but still set the tone nicely. The funimation cast appears to represent the english dub and do a good job at representing the characters. While it is nice to have an english voice cast, the original japanese cast is optionalif you want that authentic DBZ feel.
Overall this games a fun experience for fighting game enthusiasts, and a must buy for dragonball fans around the globe.
Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is a great game. I never had this game back when it first released. The gameplay is great. The difficulty can be a little difficult in story mode because I never played this one before, but I love it regardless.
I love watching the computer fight it out. If you love Dragonball Z, then this game is for you. Also if you can find one for approximately $50-$60, better buy it. Or bid on it on an auction for that price.
I’m also going to add that the selection of characters is very impressive. I would like to add that this game is rising in value and I got a like new condition copy finally.
This has gotta be the best Dragon Ball game I’ve ever played on an objective standpoint. The graphics are amazing for it’s time (PS2/Wii era) and it’s rich in content, featuring many different modes and playable characters from the Original Dragon Ball up to GT.
For 2007 that’s pretty amazing because not many Dragon Ball games do this, they just do Z and sometimes GT which is annoying. The gameplay is very fun albiet difficult sometimes, it has many layers of skills and combos.
This is the definitive Dragon Ball game experience and I highly recommend it to fans of all kinds!.
DRAGON BALL FighterZ The gameplay borrows concepts from several other fighting games, primarily the Marvel vs. Capcom series’ control scheme and team mechanics. Players each select three characters to form a team.
One character is controlled, and can be switched with one of the other characters at any time. Players can also call one of their other characters to perform an “Assist” move, allowing simultaneous attacks and combos with the entire team.
All three of the opponent’s characters must be defeated to win the game. The universal “Vanish” and “Dragon Rush” moves resemble the Roman Cancel system commonly found in Arc System Works games and Guilty Gear Xrd’s Dust attacks respectively, while the “Super Dash” move resembles the Homing system of Arcana Heart.
Players can also “Ki Charge” to manually increase their super meter, similar to previous Dragon Ball fighting games. The game also includes other features, such as “Come on Shenron!”, that allows players to gather the Dragon Balls one by one as the fight progresses by special moves and combos.
Once all seven are assembled by a player, Shenron appears to grant a wish, and allows players to choose one among the following benefits: increasing their fighter’s strength, revive a fallen ally, recover a fighter’s health or increase resistance to damage.
Another feature is the “Dramatic Finish” mode, in which if some characters win the fight against specific enemies, special cutscenes are triggered related to events from the Dragon Ball series.

Vegeta constantly trains to surpass Goku in power and never steps down from an opponent no matter how strong they are.
Originally bought as a gift for my son, he really appreciate this figure. Although from a collector’s stand point this wouldn’t be a good value if you’re truly lucky you can find a mint one without wear or torn box.
Overall it was a joy for me to see my son invested not only it the figure but the story itself. I’d highly recommend buying though.
Figure arrived in a timely manner and with no problems with the packaging or damage. Figure looks great! Limited pose-ability with the legs due to his clothes, and a tight shoulder joint that squeaks too much, but other than that it looks amazing!.

Collect cards & build your deck as you play through an all-new DRAGON BALL story! Deep card battle gameplay featuring over one-thousand cards & 350 characters from the Dragon Ball franchise.
Includes Dragon Ball characters from different series, including Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and Dragon Ball FighterZ. Embark on an epic journey as you interact with the Dragon Ball world and its characters through an arcade game.
SDBHWM (lol) is a crazy game. You can have Goku team up with Vegeta from GT, Super Saiyan 3 Radditz, Super Saiyan 4 Bardock, Adult Gotenks, and a Saibaman. If that sentence made sense to you, that tells you what sort of fan service you’re in for.
This game is an arcade game from Japan. And where Japan players had to buy actual packs of cards to play, everything is in this package which is like over 1100 cards. You play by making decks of 7 cards and in some cases even equipping them with new abilities.
You can even make your own cards. From there you battle and depending on who you use and how you place them on a field they battle and use super moves with their 3D models. The graphics aren’t like Dragon Ball FighterZ so you aren’t going to be wow’d or anything, and the sound quality for the voices are.
well they are from the arcade game and they suck (Japanese arcades are loud and they can’t hear them!). But there’s a ton of content there for your buck. There’s a amusing and cheesy story mode, as well as an arcade mode that has you play through battles based on all arcs of the Dragon Ball Super show Including the new Broly movie, and some original stoy lines as well like Cell and Kid Buu being revived with the dark dragon balls.
There’s also online play including ranked battles and limited time events. There’s no card trading though. You get cards by unlocking tickets as you play. It’s pretty generous with them and cards are one time gains.
So any duplicates are transformed to a currency you can use for more tickets. Yes you do spend tickets with a Gatcha system, but there’s no micro transactions and the rate of getting cards feels good.
I love the game and since it’s on the switch you can play it anywhere you find time for a quick match and some packs. So I definitely recommend it to any Switch owners who love Dragon Ball and wanted to see some cool things that the show never dared look into! Become a Dragon Ball Hero Today!.
This game is a super popular title in the east. Over here in the west Dragon Ball fans have been blessed with receiving a release for the Nintendo Switch! Before I get into this review I do want to state I am a bit bias.
I love the DBZ franchise, and I am a sucker for semi grindy-heavy grind rpg’s/collect-a-thons. Now if I haven’t scared you away yet let me tell you what this cartridge has to offer. PROS: Hours upon hours of gameplay.
A fun team building system, and rewarding gameplay. Several levels, and game modes. Nothing gets old if you like the gameplay loop. Many of your favorite faces making a return in varying combat styles, and skins.
A Custom/Creation mode. Fully Voiced. CONS: Outdated Graphics (I for one do not believe it hinders the experience at all) Corny dialogue from time to time. The CI Battle system can feel a bit cheap at times in pivotal moments, and can leave you feeling like your battling a rigged game.
Some unnecessary QTE’s. Long story short if you are a hardcore DB fan, or just really like micromanaging your teams, and collecting stuff this game will be plenty of fun for more than one run. I do recommend getting the gamer’s unlocked through best buy to buy this game for 48 vs the full tag price.
I have been a Dragon Ball fan for 25 years and this game stands out to me. I have seen a great variety of characters face off in team battles I have only dreamed about and have only scratched the surface of how many are in the game.
The battle system wasn’t hard to learn and I often find different team members the pair well together. Combat works by getting the timing down on a rapidly moving bar and trying to fill more of it than your openent.
Simplest way to put it. There are different ways to boost and rest your team to get the most power out of them so it keeps it interesting enough and encourages expirimenting. Very happy to have picked it up and look forward to playing it much more.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse promises a wide variety character customization features, including physical features from the various Dragon Ball races (Earthling, Majin, and Namekian – with more to come). Customization doesn’t stop at appearance, as the game’s time travelling hero you will have to choose your Dragon Ball character’s fighting style and abilities by training under a ‘Master’.
Each Master will have different skillsets and patterns depending on who the player chooses (Goku, Vegeta, etc. ) Your chosen Master will also be able to join you in the battlefield should you need assistance.
Xenoverse is filled with time travel themes, so who better to be your guide than Trunks? Trunks will show you around Toki Toki City, the primary hub in the game, and introduce you to places like the Toki Storage Room – a place where players can meet other players, train with their master, or take part in story mode and co-op quests.
These quest modes will feature some massive enemies including Great Age Vegeta! If you’re familiar with the Dragon Ball universe then you know all about the world tournament. Bandai Namco Entertainment have said that the tournament will be a major feature of the upcoming title, where fighters from all around the world will be able to compete in tournaments organized by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
If you’re a die hard dragonball z fan and you’re looking for the most immersive dragonball z game that has been created then this is it!! You start off with a small intro by shenron where you are asked to create your character – depending on what type of character you choose depends on your starting abilities which means your initial choice can help determine what your strengths and weaknesses are from the start.
When you appear in the city you are met by trunks who fills in the details of the story and gives you a mini tutorial of the game. This is as far as i will go in relation to the game due to spoilers and also the need to describe the gameplay.
There is so much you can do on this game it is ridiculous! You can purchase new skills, upgrade your character using attribute points, recruit players to your team. the list is endless! The biggest downside is the online play, there isnt really an in-depth explanation as to how to set up for online play and the servers are problematic to say the least.
if you are looking for a true mmorpg then Destiny is the way to go as the online play for dragonball z is a very big step behind this. However when you consider the work that has been put in around your own independant gameplay experience then it is easily forgivable.
I would give this game 4/5 based on the single player mode, when you play each level you feel as if the game is becoming harder and harder which makes the game fun and infuriating at the same time – the mix is spot on which means i will be picking up the controller again and again until i complete the game!.
Got this in within the last couple of days, Zavvi despatched it release day and must say, I’m pleasantly surprised by the game. I was apprehensive at first by the whole your ‘character/avatar’ IS the story (‘it’s been done-to-death, the whole self-aware, post-modern meta* bleep*!’) but, till now, I have really enjoyed having created an avatar (female named ‘Helga’) and progressing through story mode to bring order to the chaos of the altered past and distorted future! Just to elucidate, the story centers on Time Breakers, Towa and Mira, interfering with Time and both you, as the Future Warrior, and Future Trunks have to restore order to these distorted realities to the nub of the Dragon Ball story! Visuals ARE lovely on the Xbox One edition I pre-ordered; they’ll really make you glad you spent your hard-earnt lolly on purchasing an Xbox One in the first place (should do, anyways)! The controls are tighter, more responsive, than in past iterations on older consoles of the same series which was another pleasant surprise! I really felt like I was actually amongst the visuals of the Kami lookout stage for once! I pre-ordered the Trunks Travel edition at Zavvi for Xbox One and REALLY over-the-moon I did now and if you can keep it cellophaned up, you might just be on to an investment winner as the Xbox One edition should certainly appreciate dizzyingly!! Well, at least until The Legend of Zelda, Collector’s edition, comes out for the Wii U, that is!.
It has been a while since I’ve played a Dragonball game but I did see a number of positive reviews about Xenoverse and its storyline and decided to give it a go. I’m so glad that I did as it’s not just a beat em up that follows the usual storyline.
You get to travel through time as your own modified character, training under the DBZ legends and learning new skills to defeat a new villain. This villain is going back through time and meddling with history and changing little details to create some new ‘What If’ scenarios.
I liked playing through the modified history of the DBZ world although it would’ve been nice to see a few more What If scenarios. The gameplay is okay but can be a bit clunky and awkward sometimes (the camera angles drive me crazy sometimes when I’m backed into a corner) but I have seen worse.
The Trunks Travel Edition boxset was a great buy as well. I really adore my action figure of Trunks in his original outfit (the denim jacket and sword combo). It is quite big and is really top quality.
I would’ve liked a little extra content with the game as well but the figure is so good that it justifies paying that little bit extra. All in all, I would recommend Xenoverse and the Trunks Travel Edition to any fans of the show.

A fighting game with RPG elements. I’m not a fan of the TV series but I really enjoy this. The fighting mechanics are perfect. As you play through the story mode and the countless multiplayer quests you earn exp to level up.
You can keep doing quests for loot like equipment drops and new skills. PVP is also a thing in this game. The multiplayer hub (A city) Also holds a large amount of people so you can interact with others and make new friends as you navigate your way around.
I recommend this for anyone who likes RPG games or people who enjoy fighting games. You won’t regret it!.
After playing the first game i could not wait to get this one. What i got was more of the same with some upgrades. This is what i was after! The first game had a good system and the mechanics of it were easy enough to learn.
This game polished that even further. The only downside is the server logging you out of online play after so long and making you rejoin. This is not a deal breaker, in fact it hardly affected me at all as i just used the single lobby and searched for online games from there.
I would definitely recommend this to any Dragonball fans and even to fighting game lovers.
