Arm sleeves for sun protection are a type of clothing that covers the arms and hands. They are typically made of a lightweight fabric that is breathable and helps to protect the skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
Arm sleeves are a great option for people who want to enjoy the outdoors without having to worry about getting sunburned.
Have more fun in the sun with the Pearl Izumi Sun Sleeves. With increased UPF coverage and better durability, these Sun Sleeves give you UPF 50 sun protection, even when stretched by 30%, delivering long-lasting sun protection so you can pedal at the brightest times of day.
The Sun Sleeves are made with ELITE Transfer fabric with In-R-Cool technology to provide optimal skin-cooling effect and moisture management when you perspire, and BioViz reflective elements for low-light visibility.
Just received my arm sleeves. They fit and look great. I have another set of generic arm sleeves. They do not have the gripping features like these sleeves or the logo which increases visibility. I plan to wear while cycling and can see the benefit of use for any outdoor activity.
Lightweight to tuck into my back pockets if necessary. Not a fan of visible logo at top of sleeve? It easily can be covered by your jersey Please take the time to measure your arms to get the correct size.
Cambria helps be get great quality items at a reasonable price.
I have multiple pairs of this product. In ordering the same “style” number, I find that the calendar year 2021 version fits more accurately than the 2022 year version of this same product. The 2022 version is a size smaller.
Thus instead of ordering a size “medium” this 2022 year, I ordered a size “large” based upon other reviews that stated that the current year product (2022) runs small. As such, the new arm warmers in size “large” fit and appear to be of the same size as my 2021 year version in size “medium”.
LOVE these! I originally bought them for biking because I’m more pale skinned and I was tired of slathering sunscreen all over myself for long rides, but I’ve started using them for lots of other things too (golf, hiking, etc.
). They do really well with sweat-wicking, they also can provide a bit of warmth on a cooler outdoor bike ride, and they are super lightweight. If I had to nitpick, it sometimes takes me a few adjustments to get the tight part comfortable around my upper arm, but when it’s locked in, you don’t even notice it.

I live in Memphis, TN, so summers are exceedingly warm and humid. As someone in their mid-40s who has had a few basal cell spots I’ve been more attuned to sun protection. I noticed the local golf professional consistently wore sleeves, so I asked about them.
He has multiple sets and raved about them, so I researched sun sleeves. SParms rose to the top with its widespread use on the LPGA and PGA tours. Among “brand names” these were the best priced and best reviewed.
There are less expensive options, however do your due diligence and double check the product composition. Many bargain options are 100% polyester and do not provide the cooling and sun protection offered by these SParms sleeves.
I’ve used these twice since receiving them. Temperatures were mid-90s with heat indexes near or above 110. Mentally, this alone provided a resistance to sleeves. I was pleasantly surprised by the “cooling” effect.
I thought that was simply going to be a marketing pitch, but they genuinely provided a cooler feel to my arms. Three bonuses: 1) the sleeves didn’t acquire a smell like many 100% polyester alternatives and 2) the sleeves stayed in place throughout my rounds and I didn’t have to worry about them sliding around.
3) wearing the sleeves allowed me to avoid slathering sun screen or spray all over my arms and hands. Last, regarding sizing, do yourself a favor and follow the sizing guide provided before ordering.
They have you measure your bicep relaxed and flexed and compare to their size chart. Very simple, but very helpful.
Suffering from shingles, my arm was super sensitive to the slightest touch from clothing, bed sheets, the wind and so on, that I found myself constantly bandaging my arm. I thought I would try the sun sleeve as an alternative and have been extremely happy with it.
It is firm but not tight, stays up and is soft and cool on the skin. The extra bonus is the SPF 50 will protect my arm from the sun. A great find for my situation. I imagine this sleeve would be useful for protecting other skin irritations.
I work in Landscape Construction and spend many hours out in the sun. I always forget to put sunscreen on, so when I saw these sleeves I thought I would give them a try. They are super easy to put on and fit very snug.
once they’re on you forget they are there until you get home. They also have a great cooling effect, if you’re feeling hot, just wet them down and it feels great. I originally only bought 1 pair to test them out, but I now own 5 pairs.
That’s a clean pair for every day of work out in the sun. I actually love em.
The Castelli UPF 50+ Arm Skins prevent the sun’s rays from damaging your skin. Sunny days can feel like a curse. Not having to bundle up is nice, but slathering on sunscreen is tiresome, yucky, and can result in allergic reactions.
Going without can lead to burns, premature aging, skin cancer. You don’t want to look like a leather handbag until well after you start drawing on Social Security. To keep the sun off your guns on hot days, these skins have to do two things.
One is really keep it off, better than sunscreen. The second is keep you as cool as possible for a covering. Castelli chose to employ Solare fabric to take care of both tasks. The material has a UPF, Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 50+.
This means the material allows or 1/50th of the solar radiation hitting the garment to get through-or, if you prefer to think positively, it stops 98% of the solar radiation from getting past the material.
The second feature of the Solare fabric is the sheer quality of it. It’s thin, really thin. And it’s polyester-based, so it wicks without absorbing. It fits like a traditional Castelli arm warmer. The top has a two-sided silicone-beaded elastic, which both grabs your sleeves and your biceps.
The bottom has a doubled-over hem. The Castelli UPF 50+ Arm Skins are for the days when you don’t want the kiss of nature to show.
Your summer cycling kit must-have, which will proctect your skin from sunburn as they offer UPF 50+ UV protection. They also look great and fit well. It’s like a second skin but better; elastane fabric wicks away moisture easily.
The double-sided silicone elastic keeps them in place, so you forget you have them on. I don’t leave the house without them when going cycling in summer months.
Have worn these constantly since buying them on all day rides in scorching heat and they worked a treat. Despite being an additional layer I felt cooler without the heat of the sun on my skin and nice to know my skin was protected from the suns rays too so win win.
Saves putting on sticky suncream which just attracts the dirt. I have worn them mainly off road on dusty tracks and despite buying white they have come up clean in the wash so far though black might be more practical long term I guess.
Sizing was accurate. I am so happy with them that Ive just bought the leg sleeves as well to wear on scorching hot days.
I’d say it met all expectations. They aren’t cheap, but made in Italy is good for likely better labour conditions and less environmental damage. They do save your skin. You may get some lines on the skin where there is a wrinkle.
The white one definitely takes dirt like something white would, so keep that in mind.
Ideal for trail running and ultra racing in hot and humid conditions, Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Sleeves provide UPF 50+ sun protection and even incorporate their own integrated cooling system. The sleeves are constructed of a stretch knit blend of recycled polyester and spandex.
They offer a close, comfortable fit and integrated ActiveIce technology actually lowers skin temperature by utilizing endothermic cooling when wicking moisture. The full coverage sleeves have optional thumb holes and finger loops.
A touch of reflectivity in the fabric enhances low-light visibility. Outdoor Research ActiveIce Sun Sleeves are available in your choice of size and color options.
I’m glad I finally decided to try sleeves. I run every day (NJ) and bike commute (NYC) as well, and I was wearing long sleeve shirts, but was hard to keep on all of the time because of heat or change when commuting.
These are perfect because when I’m done running or cooling off, I can just take them off. Or if I start in the dark, I stick in my pocket and put on when the sun comes up. When leaving work in a dress I just throw them on.
Hard to get enough sun screen on my arms and not dirty my watch and all and this makes life so much easier (and less sun damage). They do feel cool, I love the finger options and rubber grips, my only only problem is too big on the biceps.
I do this things where I double knot them tighter but if I stretch or hit a pothole or anything that changes my position, the knot unties and they fall right down. I’m female, 41 years old, 5’6” and 130 lbs and clear need to work out my arms to get some bigger muscles, but I need about 2 inches wider to work, which just is probably not possible.
I’m used to the workaround now so I still love them, but can be annoying on some days.
I’m 5’3″ and 128lbs. My arms and wrists are small so I purchased the S/M and there is no problem with them staying in place. I compared these to the REI brand and the Pearl Izumi and liked these the best as they are not “skin tight” on me and the “thumby” enables the sleeve to cover my hands, which is good because the sunscreen gets wiped off there anyway.
They also feel just fine to push up to the wrist and just have coverage to the wrist, rather than over your hand. I like that I can just take them off and stash them away if I wanted, rather than wearing a long sleeve shirt.
You can also wet the sleeves to keep cool. The light color will keep the hot Arizona sun from blazing on my arms. These will keep you cooler and protect your skin. It was great to go to REI and just try them on to compare brands.
I think these are the most popular since there were only two pairs there, and I got the last S/M at the store by me. These sleeves are a great addition to my hiking gear wardrobe. I’m saying good bye to the sticky sunscreen on my arms.
Oh, I also like that they are really long and go all the way up to my armpit if I position it that high and the wrist with the thumby still comfortably cover my hand and a little of my fingers. There is also a small elastic middle finger band that you can slip over your finger to hold the wrist/hand end in place.
These are fantastic. I have a lot of sun damage on my arms, and I’m prone to skin cancer. I’ve been wearing a sun hoodie for a few years but sometimes that is still too hot for exercise in the summer.
If you wear this with a short-sleeve shirt, you still get the advantage of natural venting under your arms. Wearing these actually feels cooler than bare skin. The S/M size fits me perfectly (female, 145 lbs, ave size arms).
They stay up, even while playing tennis, yet aren’t uncomfortably tight. The light grey is a nice innocuous color that goes with everything.
Perfect for golfing, driving, or any other outdoor activity, these unisex Bamboo Sun Sleeves provide comfortable coverage that can be easy deployed when needed and packed away when not. Sun protection for the entire family at UV Skinz! Stay cool at the sand bar!.
I was skeptical at first. My skin is very sensitive and a lot of fabrics irritate it and I cannot wear them. I usually can not even tolerate long sleeves on my arms. I use a 70+ sun block and as I live in florida and have an outdoor pool , I spend a lot of time in the sun.
Sunblock can be sticky and sometimes even the sunblock irritate my skin. Nevertheless, inevitably the sunblock washes or wears off and I get burned anyway. My doctor has warned me of the dangers of sun exposure as I have very fair skin , vitiligo and am on a medication that has sun sensitivity as a side effect.
Well, to finally get to the point, when the sleeves I ordered arrived and I put them on…it was love at first fit. They fit perfect, they are soft as kitten fur and I truly can not tell that I have them on.
In the water or out. They DO NOT make my arms hotter ( how ever did you do that! ). My only wish is that you made a full body suit! I plan on buying a second pair of sleeves. You have a customer for life and a huge fan!.
I really LOVE these bamboo sun sleeves. Very good quality, comfortable to wear, and most importantly. Protection!! When the heat rises, in the southwest, so does my need to protect my skin from itchy blisters, caused by sun.
My arms are most vulnerable, so having sunsleeves, for short sleeve days, is way more convenient than carrying around spray or creme sunblock. I love these sunsleeves so much, I just purchased a second pair!.
Amazing to not deal with the sensory issues of constantly applying sunscreen on arms while outdoors or driving. Haven’t noticed any sunburn after removing these and I burn easily, definitely recommend.
The fit is great, only gets a bit tight on upper arms if I try to pull it up all the way which with most t-shirts is not necessary. I also love that these are made of bamboo fiber instead of synthetics!.
Best Selling Product. Solbari UPF 50+ Women’s Arm Sleeves provide maximum sun protection for the arms and hands, while leveraging our award-winning UPF 50+ Sensitive fabric – which is perfect for people with skin sensitivity.
I bought these for a holiday to Norway in August. We’d planned to go kayaking and I wanted to protect my arms from the sun. I have such fair skin I burn very quickly and it’s not easy reapplying suncream when kayaking! I didn’t want to wear a long sleeve top, especially if it was hot (which it was when we kayaked), so I bought the medium oatmeal arm sleeves, no holes, to try.
Although I’m petite my upper arms are defined, so I bought the medium for comfort and I’m glad I did. Small would have been too tight. I really liked the colour. They blended well with my skin tone so from a distance it wasn’t that obvious I was wearing them and the colour wouldn’t clash with whatever colour sports top I wore.
I wore them for over 3 hours straight and they were comfortable. Not sure I’d want to wear them all day long though but for a morning’s kayaking they were ideal. Although it was about 80F on the day we kayaked, I didn’t feel too hot wearing them.
Did not feel restricting on the upper arm whilst kayaking which is was my only initial concern pre purchase. They gave me excellent coverage, especially on the upper arm. They came up high enough to sit underneath my t-shirt meaning I didn’t have to worry about the back part of my upper arm getting caught in the sun whilst paddling with the sun behind me.
I will definitely be wearing these again in the summer when kayaking, hiking or cycling. It was such a relief not to have to worry about whether I need to reapply suncream on my arms.
I like the fabric and range of colors, but overall the sleeve is too short. I wear them cycling or backpacking with either a bicycle jersey or a wool t-shirt. Most of the womens style shirts I own have capped sleeves- so requires a longer length sun sleeve to cover my arm all the way to the wrist.
For mens style T- shirts with longer length short sleeves the sun sleeve is fine but it didn’t work for the style of t-shirt or cycling Jersey that I prefer. Also, the thumb hole was not very comfortable.
I love being able to slip these sleeves on when I go for a walk. I don’t worry so much about the sun I’m getting. I had read a review that said they felt cool, and they do when you put them on, but I still sweat through them in places when I walk.
Then again, I always sweat. i am going to say below that the fit runs small. I am a tiny bit overweight and would call my arms muscular with ” a little extra. ” If there was a size larger than XL I would get them.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This product seems to far to be a quality product! I am very pleased with it so far. The color will match just about anything you could wear and very moderate.
It is a very smooth and stretchable material that fits snugly around your arms, I could feel it start to cool my arm as soon as I put it on which I thought was really cool. I will definitely be wearing these as the summer continues as I am outdoors quite a bit.
Overall I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to others in search of a similar item!.
I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I am a smaller person and I thought these one-size fits all sleeves wouldn’t necessarily stay on but so far they do. I’ve tried it while running and doing weight exercises.
I don’t play football or high contact sports so I am not sure if they stay on in those situations. If you had large enough arms, they would be tighter and should stay up. The material is soft and comfortable.
It’s thick enough to shield from the sun from uva and uvb rays.
Simply slip on our Women’s Navagio Sun Sleeves with any short-sleeve shirt for UPF/SPF 50+ arm coverage. Made of our supremely soft and slightly stretchy ZnO fabric to fit snugly yet flex with ease. Sunscreen clothing.
I have vitiligo very bad all over my body but especially on both arms. These sleeves keep the hot sun off my arms while I’m driving or a passenger in the car. They are also cooler than wearing a jacket with SPF 50 like I also have.
They wash very nicely and I even ordered another pair in case the first one gets too dirty when I need them.
This is the second pair of Sun Sleeves I’ve purchased. I love them! I bought the second pair to keep in the glove compartment in the car. Very handy when traveling and the sun is streaming into the windows.
I’ve had the first pair for years, and wear them often. They wash well and still look brand new. The soft fabric is very comfortable to wear. Indispensable!.
I like the color and feel of the material. I bought the XL because I have long grown up arms. The wrist was fine but upper arm too tight and no stretch. I had to rip the stitching. I wonder if the men’s version is longer and has more stretch?.
Prepping for a ride in sunny conditions means being smart about coverage so you don’t overheat on your ride. The Giordana Sun Arm Sleeve is perfect for those sunny days when the sun will be beating down, and you need extra protection.
It’s designed with UPF 50+ protection that won’t weigh you down thanks to the Sun Arm Sleeve’s cooling fabric. You’ll be able to ride freely without overheating or ending your day burnt to a crisp. Light elastic grippers keep the sleeves in place without constricting your arms, and riders will also benefit from the fast-wicking and breathable qualities of the Sun Arm Sleeve.
This product was designed in Italy, where Giordana has a history of developing and manufacturing, despite their American launch. Their Italian partnership benefits their designs to offer the best of both worlds.
These are the best sunsleeves I’ve used and my go to for the past few years. I’ve tried Pearl Izumi, Castelli and some no name brand off Amazon. These stay put, don’t get too hot and you can actually feel the cooling you better as the sweat evaporates.
To wipe sweat out of my eyes, I switched to sun sleeves and stopped wearing gloves altogether. I like this way better.
These sun sleeves are so comfortable. I was a little skeptical at first, but they fit perfectly, and I forgot I had them on while riding. I have fair skin, and I prefer wearing these over sunblock even in 90 degree heat with high humidity.
Tried some cheap ones (that were a waste) before these Giordana Sun Sleeves. They are cut for a right / left arms specifically. Great materials and excellent construction. The gripper on the bicep is just right for me.
They stayed put while riding (I don’t notice them at all). I wear medium jerseys in Giordana so I went with medium sleeves. They fit great. I am really pleased.
Solid White | UPF 50+ White Compression Arm Sleeve. A Pro-fit Sun Sleeve for golf, fishing, and other outdoor activity for protection against harmful UV rays. This white compression arm sleeve is designed for casual daily use and strenuous competitive use alike.
Rode my Harley 1,000 miles one way to Sturgis over two days in the blazing sun and 90+ degrees. Without sunscreen on my arms. No problem for the Sun Sleeves. Then rode home and still no burn with the Sun Sleeves.
Yes I got warm when we stopped, but not too bad and when we got going again, the wicking effect cooled me down immediately. I really liked the reinforced rubber cuffs that kept them from sliding down my arm.
And fit great so no material flapping in the breeze. Really great quality. Next test is a three-day fishing trip in the Gulf! No question these were a great choice. I would send a photo of the burn on my hand but it faded already.
I got these compression sleeves mainly to keep the sun from tanning my left arm while driving during the summer when I wear short sleeves. I am very impressed with the high quality of the fabric and the stitching.
It is quite thick, making it likely that sun protection would be excellent if it is indeed UPF50+. Unfortunately, I got S/M based on arm size forgetting that this is supposed to be compressing. While it fit me fine, I should actually have a very loose fit.
Next time, I will order two sizes bigger, an XL. Compression may be fine if I play sports, but I am way too old for that.
I bought three pairs of the compression sleeves. One for my father in his 70s ; One for my husband in his 50s. They are both golfers. The last one was for me in my 40s and I am a distance runner. All three of us are pleased with the product and find it user friendly.
My dad likes the sun blockage. We all like that they are fitted. And I plan on taking mine up this weekend to Duluth, MN (Grandma’s marathon weekend) to wear on the start line for the warmth/coverage before the race.
Thanks for the great product. We will be buying more.
The SParms Sun Sleeve offers excellent sun protection when your arms are exposed. The sleeve provides UPF 50+ protection against UVA and UVB sunrays. The patented Italian fabric is incredibly lightweight and soft on the skin.
The Zensah Sun Sleeves are ideal for any sport from cycling to running to football to help protect against the sun harmful UV rays. Light compression ensures the arm sleeves stay in place. They are made Perfect for running, basketball, baseball, softball, cycling, golf, and football offering full sun protection.
The sun sleeves are moisture wicking and thermal regulating, keeping arms cool by wicking away perspiration.
I am a 17 year old tennis player and my elbow is constantly in pain from serving to hard and for too long. I use the compression sleeves on both sides only when I am playing tennis and I absolutely loved it.
I felt no pain at all while using these arm sleeves they allowed for me to keep a consistent pace on my serve and not have to worry about hurting my elbow. The negatives of this product I would have to say is keeping the arm sleeves from sliding down, I had to constantly fix them.
Another thing is these products are not very durable after you put them in a washer machine and dry them they will start to rip. Other than that everything was great and I can not wait to buy more of zensah product and since I plan on going big in tennis I might even try to get a sponsorship from zensah.
Unfortunately terrible, the product was made , that I received, for a 10 year old body of a young athlete. All 3, were a no go. The phone technician was awesome and really nice so not her fault. I told my height and weight 6’3 305lbs and was told the XL would fit all , I switched from AM KNEE RELIEVE Company, to try an Israeli made and merchandised for America so I was excited, really excited , really excited when the door rang and our package showed up on time no issues.
The issues are the Compression Socks ( cut off half just to slip on size 14 feet/ the Arm Sleeves, I couldn’t get 3 fingers inside and cut them off for wrist support ( waste) / the Calve warm sleeves, I couldn’t fit 2 two toes into so I gave them to my 5’1 115lb wife, who could barely squeeze em onto her legs but worked em in after effort.
My issue is this, I gave my 6’3 305lb information and the “ XL “ one size fits all was told would work, AM KNEE RELIEVE fits me and it’s XL “ one size fits all “ and that’s were my disappointment lays, a false description of the product purchased.
I liked the look , the material, just made for a kid NOT AN ADULT of my size or most any Man. Call me if you like these phone surveys do not describe the full scope of marketing. Thank you.
Typically I love all things I buy from Zensah! But these new arm sleeves have changed size. They are now longer and wider and don’t stay up on my arms. My previous arm sleeves (size S/M), bought about 4 years ago, fit great and they still stay up when I run.
They’ve been worn so much that I have a run (no pun) in the elastic on one of them, so they probably won’t last much longer. With such a big size difference between the one’s I have previously bought and the new ones, wouldn’t it make more sense to offer a size Small and a size Medium? Otherwise you are going to have unhappy customers at both sizes.
UV arm sun sleeves fingerless gloves provide UV Protection wherever you go. These Arm Sleeves are made of UVEIL fabric with organic UPF 50+ Protection. They are great for all outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, biking, or whatever you like to do outdoors.
They cover the hands, wrists and forearms that are often exposed to UV Rays. These arm sleeves can also used as protection on the left arm while driving a car. The Large measure 4. 5 on the top 9″ total and are 12.
5 ” long. XL is 10″ at the top and 13″ long. There is no elastic, so you want them to fit tightly enough to stay up. They have 20% spandex, The Medium is in the photo, and more of a women’s fit. It is 4″ on the top and 12″ long.
The best quality, soft & comfortable fingerless arm gloves that I’ve been able to locate for my elderly mom. They also stay in place- no rolling/falling down. These protect mom’s fragile thin hand & arm skin from scratches/cuts & bleeding from her autoimmune skin condition.
They prevent her from scratching during the night & opening up the autoimmune skin nodules. She says they’re soothing & cooling & is thrilled that I finally found arm/hand gloves that are perfect for her.
Nicely made- I bought 2 pairs different sizes but both fit- one a little smaller but both are great- fast shipping great packaging. I’m a redhead and then summertime I avoid the sun but I have certain occasions this summer that I need to go to and need to be outside.
I’d rather not put sunscreen on as sometimes it’s greasy and it doesn’t last. But these are wonderful and I can put them on any time not dressed up,still be outside and stay cool. Thank you.
Easy to wear, light weight and soft. I’m a commuter and have begun to notice a few very recent sunspots on my hands and some really rough patches that won’t go away no matter what. I use acid peels on my hands to help with the rough patches and sun spots.
After chemical peels you must use sunscreen, but how do you keep sunscreen on your hands? These are how you keep sunscreen on your hands and no greasy feel when your driving. I love that I’m protecting my skin with such a simple, but thoughtful, well designed solution.

I couldn’t believe the chilling effect these had on the parts of my arms they covered in the open cloudless sun filled sky with no wind. As soon as a little sweat hit the omni freeze pattern on the inside of these sleeves, there was unbelievable instant cooling happening.
It was almost as if I had an air conditioner just over the part covered by these. I would buy an entire body suit with this inside for summer wear. They do have a drawback as they run a bit small. I could not dock a star based on how effective they were for me though.
I think Columbia should consider breaking the sizes down and making a small, medium, large, x large and maybe xx large for people with really big arms. If I was the size I was when I lifted everyday, these L/XL wouldn’t have gone over my forearms much less onto my bicep/tricep any whatsoever.
Making each size individually would allow a greater range of size and also a much larger size for those who need it. If you can fit, you wouldn’t regret purchasing these as I’ve not ever worn anything that has this kind of cooling with no wind blowing at all.
When the wind did blow a little, the cooling effect went to chilling as it greatly enhanced the already very pleasant feeling.
When the sun beats down along the trail, these arm sleeves keep me cool and protect my arms from sun damage. They allow me to wear a short-sleeved top for comfort without sacrificing protection from the intense mountain sun.
The cooling effect makes my hikes more comfortable, too. The effects sun anytime of the year can cause irreparable damage not protected. These Freezer Zero Arm Sleeves give you more options to protect and cool.
I own two pairs of the Columbia Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve, one in white and another in stone blue. I’m 5’8″ 140LB and a slender toned build, but the L/XL fits me well. I tried the S/M and it was extremely tight (fits my 5’2″ GF).
The L/XL seemed snug at first but once installed felt comfortable, providing excellent support and compression of arm muscles. I bought these sleeves for playing classical guitar while wearing short sleeved shirts.
Yes, that may seem odd, but the compression relaxes my muscles and allows my right arm (the picking hand) to freely slide around and change tone, execute harmonics, etc. , without my sweaty skin sticking to the guitar.
And the secondary benefit is the Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve is noticeably cooler at gigs–I sweat profusely–than my Nike and Phiten sleeves. I auditioned the Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve for sun protection while involved in mellow outdoor activities such as photography, hiking and biking.
I live in the tropics so the sun is brutal and can burn through my tee-shirt in 20 minutes. The Columbia sleeves kept my arms a burn-free milky white! I noticed cooling the most when riding my bike. With one arm bare and the other decked out in a Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve, the sleeved arm felt like AC was blowing directly on it! The bare arm was, well, very warm.
The combination of sweat and moving air maximizes cooling. The Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve is a very good product: nice compression, noticeable cooling, excellent sun protection and perfect for guitar playing and outdoor activities in heat and sun.
I’d rather the sleeves were plain and didn’t have a huge “Columbia” written along the length. Wish there were more color choices. Black, while not great in the sun, would be my first choice for stage use.
Constructed with lightweight and breathable UV fabric, these easy-care unisex solar sleeves from Pro Tour are designed with UPF 50 sun protection and moisture-wicking properties so you only have to worry about playing your best round yet.
The store was out of small medium size so I ordered and had it shipped. It was drastically small. Therefore I ordered the Large/Extra Large. One sleeve fit and the other was way to large and wouldn’t stay up.
The two sleeves were not sized the same. Obviously the Quality Control was non existent. It make me question if I can trust there store brands. I will get the name brand on this item.
Excellent product. I prefer these to the Nike ones because those have an elastic band that can pull on the skin. Correctly sized, they will stay on your biceps. The white ones actually have a cooling effect (the black ones seem to attract the heat and are less desirable).
The others in my foursome have followed my lead and are equally pleased with this product.
Chill-Its 6690 Cooling Arm Sleeves provide full arm coverage to absorb and wick away sweat, deliver advanced cooling relief, shield skin from the sun’s UV rays, and even protect against light abrasions.
Made with soft, lightweight performance knit fabric with UPF 50+ protection from harmful UV rays, these sun protective sleeves provide instant cooling relief when wet and wick moisture away when dry – helping absorb and dry sweat quickly.
An anti-odor treatment keeps funky and unpleasant body odors under control when you’re going all out. Activation is easy. Simply run the cooling arm sleeves under cool water, then twirl or shake the sleeves to accelerate the chemical-free evaporative cooling process.
Wear wet for cooling, or dry for moisture-wicking comfort. Enhance the cooling effects by wearing the sleeves on key pulse points (under arm and wrist). Thanks to its high-quality, high-elastic fabric, these unisex protective arm sleeves are suitable for most arm sizes – no uncomfortable pressure or discomfort.
To determine the right sleeve size, just measure the circumference of your upper and lower arm and refer to the size chart for specific measurements of each size. Whether working outside or simply enjoying the outdoors (golfing, cycling, fishing, jogging, playing baseball etc), these uv sleeves provide great skin protection.
Also perfect for covering up tattoos so as not to offend the prim and prudish with your gnarly ink.
This is the second time we’ve purchased these sleeves: first, in 2020 prior to size changes; second, this current sizing. From experience, we purchased XXL from the get go, which now fit the standard 11″ bicep but, is still a tight, tight fit for biceps larger.
The sizing of the XXL proportions also need work. If the band fits the bicep for our crews, the arm is much too large, therefore, the extra material moves around as they work. This also contributes to slippage, which is far from ideal.
If these sleeves were meant to be worn lower on the bicep, fine, then make the sleeve shorter. If they are meant to be worn halfway on the bicep where typical short-sleeved shirts cut off, then make the sleeves larger on the bicep side.
These do the job nicely. I can go out in the sun all day and the part of the arms that they cover aren’t sunburned. Be sure to cover the rest of your body with other protective covering! I would advise being absolutely sure of your size because they don’t have much give lengthwise or width-wise, almost zero stretch.
I am an athletic 175 lbs and the mediums are on the tight side.
Styled for runners and outdoor enthusiasts, these UV Arm Sleeves have reflective elements strategically placed for better visibility in low-light conditions. Put them on in the morning to fight the chill, and comfortably leave them on all day for UPF 40+ sun protection.
The highly breathable polyester material wicks moisture, is comfortable next to the skin, and blocks harmful rays. Four-way stretch provides light compression and maintains form and shape when wet. The elastic upper with engineered silicone grip holds the sleeve comfortably in place for a clean, streamlined fit.
Easy to pull on and off as needed, this light, packable protection carries easily in a pack or pocket.
The sleeves fit well on my small to medium arms. They are very cool in the heat, and stop that painful overexposed feeling when I can’t get to shade. They feel very durable and are comfortable under leather gloves and over latex as well.
Great product for brush big sun and general protection!.
The GripGrab UV sleeves are super-light arm warmers that nevertheless provide 100 percent reliable protection against harmful UV rays. Made from super stretch fabric, they fit the body like a second skin.
Elastic silicone grippers at the cuffs ensure that the UV sleeves fit snugly. When needed, they can be easily removed and stowed in the jersey pocket. Their pack size is minimal. The breathable sleeves are ideal for cycling tours with very sunny exposure, when protection from UV rays is particularly important.
Good for adding another layer around your knees only. I use them mostly for jogging underneath my running gear. When worn on top, they tend to slowly slide downwards. Won’t suffice when minus 10 C with regular gear, but at least you don’t have to wear 2 pants when not extremly cold.
I was wary of buying these items, wondering if they would stay up. The description led me to believe that they would stay in place but I found this not to be so. After about 20 minutes of riding they begin to fall down.
Fit & Design: One pair of arm sleeves Lightweight and breathable fabric No-slip gripper at upper arm opening Technology: Moisture-wicking technology helps you stay dry and comfortable UPF 50+ ultraviolet protection helps protect you from the sun’s harmful rays.
My first time wearing sun sleeves. I need to wear them since I have been diagnosed with skin cancer. I thought they would be too hot, but I was wrong. Actually, it seems the sleeves cool the arms by keeping the hot sun off them and once they get wet from sweat, any breeze cools the arms and helps cool the entire body.
I will be getting the gray pair to compliment the white ones I purchased.
The S/M is maybe for children or teens bc it’s really small. I’m a woman who wears a size 8-10 shirt and bought these bc no one makes them for women except “one size fits all” which never fits me. But this S/M only stretches to about 11″ around the bicep!.
This helps keep the sun from scorching my arms. Plus, you save your arms from getting covered in sunscreen. The grey color looks good. Sleeves are a little unusual to wear but after a couple holes I was completely used to them.
There are many factors to consider when choosing the right arm sleeves for sun protection. The most important factor is the level of UV protection that the sleeves provide. There are many different brands and styles of arm sleeves available, so it is important to do some research to find the best option for you.
Another important factor to consider is the size of the arm sleeves. If they are too big or too small, they will not provide the desired level of protection. Finally, you should also consider the price of the arm sleeves.
While some are more expensive than others, you should be able to find a pair that fits your budget.
