I started using this about 7 years ago when my doctor recommended it. I love this product because it actually works and it works quite fast. It relieves heartburn, indigestion, bloating and gas. The Tablets are like chalky mints but the flavor is like a breathe mint.

Tums don’t work for me so this is the go too for my family. The only downside is that very few places keep it in stock.

Tums are where I turn in a pinch. They’re reliable, they get the job done…but typically they taste disgusting. Peppermint flavored chalk? Yuck. These are a nice change of pace, however, and I don’t mind the berry flavor nearly as much.

They’re still chalky but it tastes better with berry flavoring and really, because I’m old my options are suffer with heartburn or suck it up and take the meds. These make it easier And they work as well as the original.

They are a little bit more expensive than Tums antacids, but as someone who can’t have food coloring, these are a godsend! I’ve been having some acid reflux recently and needed something to quell it.

The only reason that I had to give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because there’s a slightly strange aftertaste. It’s not really a bad taste, but it’s weird. However, that being said, it’s easy enough to wash down with just water.

I liked how well Pepcid worked for me. I was on a prescription of it for years for extra acid buildup in my stomach. It was nice that it became available over the counter. It is effective and it works fairly quickly when taken regularly.

I was on PPIs which didn’t work at all. I found some luck using prescription Famotidine but I have a new insurance and they don’t cover a lot it’s like 84 bucks it’s a liquid because I have trouble with pills and it only last about a little over a week.

Works great, not chalky, tastes fine, HOWEVER if you don’t SHAKE the bottle at least a few times every day once it’s opened, it congeals on the bottom into a thick, thick gel-like substance that cannot be used any longer unless you scrape it out and put this gel into a container and mash it with water.

Therefore you have a WASTED half inch to inch of your product. We alternate between keeping it stored upside down and right side up and shake it often. It’s a pain but better than having to throw away a good amount of the antacid.

This is the only generic version of Maalox Advanced formulation I can find that does not list alcohol as the first inactive ingredient. Works much better than those other versions for me. Liquid is thicker and more soothing than the alcohol containing competitors.
