I don t really want to sell this, but am needing funds for other ventures. This thing is extremely versatile, and just makes recording fun. It also helps that it sounds amazing. One tiny chip near the front edge, but great condition otherwise.

This is a great unit for home recording. It is very straightforward to use – I got my head around it quite quickly. POSITIVES I’ve had it about 5 weeks and have experimented with most of the things it can do: multitrack recorder, audio interface, DAW controller.
It does all these jobs reasonably well, especially the multitrack recording. The audio quality seems to be excellent. RECORDING ALONE. I have noticed that when recording alone using the Tascam I just get on with multitracking – I don’t get side tracked with trying to edit the part as I go, which is what happens when I record to the computer – or even when I record to other multitrackers, if they have extensive editing facilities.
RECORDING MY 3-PIECE BAND. This is very straightforward with the Model 12. You just set the levels and off you go. If you have to play, sing and engineer like I do – this simplicity is a gift. We use a drum machine and this is where the Model 12 excels, because it can send MIDI sync which starts/stops the drum machine and keeps it dead in sync with the timing of the track.
This is hugely helpful because drum machines can wander off-time slightly over the course of a song (just like real drummers). This tempo drift is a real nuisance if you want to transfer tracks to a DAW – especially if you want to substitute the drum track or use the quantise function to nudge performances onto the beat.
With MIDI sync tempo drift is now a thing of the past! I am still using my computer/DAW to polish songs – edit out mistakes, pitch correct, etc and at those times having the Model 12’s facility to act a USB audio interface is great.
The Model 12’s ability to receive a Bluetooth audio signal is also handy – mostly I use it as the audio output from the computer for non-recording audio – Spotify, You Tube etc. NOT SO POSITIVE The description for this item says it is a 10 channel analogue mixer BUT it isn’t! As is generally recognised across the internet: it is a digital mixer.
For me, this makes no difference whatsoever, I still like it. Headphone monitoring surprised me at first. I was recording acoustic guitar through a mic so I wanted to mute my speakers and monitor on headphones (so the speaker sound could not spill back into the mic).
But when I muted the Main Mix bus, to mute the speakers, it also muted the headphones. Fortunately the Model 12 has routing options to deal with the problem – but it could have been so much simpler if you could mute the Main Mix output while leaving the Main Mix audible on the headphones.
These are minor gripes – I have wide-ranging experience of home recording devices, over many years (tape, anyone?), and this is one of the best.

We send various “outs” to the line inputs of our studio grade interfaces,making the Tascam 12 so much more than a live mixer or standalone recorder-it’s like a Swiss army knife for your project studio.

One definition for power is “potential energy. ” This console has a magnificent potential to make electrons flow in various directions for such an affordable box. I would love to detail the controls for readers, but I feel confident that if you are researching this particular product, then you already know the controls and I will not insult your skill level.
However, I would say, “Spend the little extra and get the 100 mm faders!” The sensitivity is far, far greater than 60 mm. The manual for the 24 is simple and operation of the board is intuitive. I was an electronics technician for years, so I am one of those geeks who like to read manuals! Who the heck wants to read the news? My first connections were simple.
I connected up my Alesis Nitro drum kit, which I purchased along with the Tascam, to the board and plugged in a pair of shelf monitors. A few minutes were spent playing the drums through the board while adjusting the overall volume levels of each component of the kit, as monitored through the speakers, until I was happy with the mix.
Next, the 24 was paired with my phone via Bluetooth: Easy, peazy! I play at church and we get the weekly song index through the Services APP. Within minutes of unwrapping the 24, I was rehearsing along with the list of mp3s playing from my phone.
My wife plays keys at church, so, next, she was connected up. What a great way to get familiar with a new song! After some familiarity by playing with a new song, we dropped the mp3 and added the 24’s internal click track as we do play alongside a metronome live in service.
So, after two rehearsals, we felt like professionals and pressed on to take a turn at recording. The wife is a soprano with a voice degree and all that yadda, yadda, yadda, experience, and her range can be tough to capture.
We played around with slight compression, and other effects, while capturing her voice in dynamic ranges and WOW! The 24 works well. The compression gave her voice that full and even sound that it should.
Other features of the board are easy to operate, ie. , punch in, loading tracks, etc. We really look forward to expanding the number of ways to use this console, one of which, is to track a few original songs and experiment with creativity on our awesome new Tascam 24.

I have been recording with Presonus equipment for about 2 years now. I decided to take this digital board to my church and use it to record projects and also to stream our church services. The board works really well and the only issue I have is the connection between the board and the computer keep going out no matter which cord I try including the original, but when it works it is the best thing I have ever used.

The Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK is a great mixer for two different purposes (or one combined purpose). It is superb 12 channel (8 XLR Mic, 2 stereo) mixer for live bands – or live anything. Each channel strip has great EQ controls, 3 sends and group and main outputs.
But, each channel strip also is an AD/DA converter, or front end to your DAW. Or, simultaneously mixing live and recording all channels into a digital recorder or laptop with DAW. And, each send has the option of pre or post – giving this mixer undue flexibility for a 12 channel mixer.
Overall, in ease of use, being visually obvious what’s what, and with multiple output options (use Group and send specific channels, or all) this mixer fills multiple requirements in an easy and excellent-sounding manner.
I should point out that it is rugged enough that it can be your “go to” remote mixer for any and all jobs. A high-reliability and remarkably well priced modern version of classic British engineering.
My old Soundcraft ‘Folio’ has no built-in reverb, so I ‘upgraded’ to this ‘Signature’ 12MTX, which DOES have assorted inbuilt reverbs and delays – and a better selection than Amazon’s cheap Depusheng mixer(s).
The real surprise is that the 12MTK (with built-in export to Digital Audio Workstation software like Ableton, and. with an optional add-in card. return FROM a DAW into the mix). it discovers, and can boost, almost inaudible, or lost, bass from old dynamic mics like my Senn 421 and AKG D25.
It gives a whole new usefulness to ‘characterful’ under-performing old dynamics. (Oddly, its bass, even when EQ’d down, can be too overpowering and ‘muddying’ when used with (my) modern-ish condensers and ribbons (sE-R1, sE2200T, sE1a, etc) which I prefer to use with my older Soundcraft.
) Apart from that, incoming audio can be extensively ‘sculpted’ via the Hi, ‘frequency-sweep’ Mid, and Lo (bass) adjust knobs. Very flexible inputs – including Hi-Z, if needed, on two jack sockets – but, weirdly (as others describe) no On/Off switch.
with the mains input socket hidden under the mixer, so the only way to switch it Off is to unplug it from the mains, or – preferably – to fit its mains plug into a SWITCHED socket. Useful Limiters, but only on mic XLR inputs 1 and 2, and no ‘softer’ or ‘gentler’ compressor(s); but very flexible routing via three AUX channels, and lockable pre-fade buttons for balancing sound before its actual output via the Master stereo outs.

Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK system is pretty neat! Just like most people looking at this machine, I have some experience with MTK systems, and I liked the price point and Lexicon on-board effects. When I connected it I did not know that it does not store data on board.
You will need a computer to master / mix-down and granular control of tracks. Soundcraft has their own software, but I used a different one on my DAW and I LOVE this configuration. Only issue I am running into (and pretty sure it’s a “Me” problem) is the AUX sound going out is pretty low.
Other than that, this is a serviceable unit and I am happy with my purchase.

These preamps are very clean and quiet. The Neutrik Combo inputs can handle any input and channel 1 has a built in Direct Box for passive instruments like guitar and bass. The EQ section is ‘dynamic’ meaning as you increase a frequency, the Q or Bell shape is wide but when you cut, the Q is very narrow.
Much more musical and very unusual to find on a mixer anywhere near this price range. Using potentiometers instead of channel faders makes this really portable yet, you still have a full size fader for the Mains Output.
Fits easily inside of a small bag or backpack. The Lexicon effects are very high quality and of all the mixers in the price range, its the only one that allows you to use all three effects engines at the same time.
If you bypass the FX section you can actually use the AUX sends as a second, completely independent headphone mix that is NOT tied to the Mains. Unheard of at this price point. This makes recording someone a game changer as its possible for them to have a ‘more me’ mix that is independent from the main headphone output without being restricted to using a computer playback mix knob or worse, a computer playback switch like on many small format audio interfaces.
The built in audio interface on the 8FX is a 2×2 USB interface but, unlike most other interfaces in this category, the Soundcraft Audio Control Panel program allows you to change which set of inputs the computer will actually ‘see’ when recording and those changes are stored in the mixers firmware when your not connected to a computer.
That means you can use those settings on another device like an iPad because the Notepad 8FX is a class compliant device. The mixer is not buss powered but, as a result, it can provide true 48 volt phantom power for power hungry mics.
I’ve had my Notepad 8FX for about a month. I bought it to use for zoom meetings with my music friends and to use for a church livestream. I use it with Windows at home and with a Mac at church. It works flawlessly with the Mac, no drivers to download, it just goes right to work.
Windows is a different world. Read about it on the Harman forums. You have to disable a Windows 10 security feature to sneak the software into your computer. Then the mixer will work for that session.
Once you shut off the computer, it won’t work unless you go through the whole installation process again. It’s a real nice little mixer, but it doesn’t play nice with Windows. It allows me to mix the sound for the livestream in stereo, which is a great help.
I take a stereo feed out of our house mixer, run it through the 8FX, which we use as an AD converter and headphone amp, then into the Mac and out to YouTube. The stream on YouTube comes through in stereo, which has a lot more life than a mono mix.
My hope is that Harmon/Soundcraft will get on the stick and update their software for Windows. That will make this a great little mixer for people with PCs who do webcasts and home studio recording. But I wouldn’t recommend it unless you either have a Mac or a lot of patience.
This is a decent small form factor mixer. It’s great for when I want to be off the computer (and not connected to my interface). The effects sound surprisingly good too. The pots and fader are solid – to wiggle.
The aux bus can also be used as a second mix bus making for a really flexible, solid mixer at a good price.

I found it to be a solid audio mixer for it’s price range. In my ignorance of audio terms, I misunderstood the product description and was disappointed when I found that it couldn’t do what I wanted.
However if I’m being objective, It’s still an excellent product. The EQ controls for Highs, Mids and Lows have great fidelity, the FX controls required a manual, but are easy to use. The quarter-inch outputs give minimal distortion and no static.
The inputs support both XLR and quarter-inch with “Passive Attenuation” and “Phantom Power” options. The line-in to the PC was basically plug-and-play, no driver installation necessary. The line-in to PC for channels 1 + 2 is a Mono output (Split into stereo.
) The board I’m replacing (Yamaha AG06) had an option to split channels 1 + 2 into the separate L and R outputs. The Pyle does not. Channels 3 + 4 are stuck to the L and R outputs respectively, with no option to mix into mono.
This mixer, for most intents and purposes, gives the PC a mono output. I was looking for a interface that gives 4 separate recording tracks for my audio software. I didn’t realize that analog guitars needed a special setting, “High Impedance” mode, to work with a mixer and assumed that any old quarter-inch input would do.
Unlike the AG06, the Pyle board does not include this build in. This board is a tabletop item, with no mounting rack at the bottom. The Pyle only offers MP3 playback, so no support for WAV or FLAC formats.
If you’re looking for a mixer with excellent analog output and a good variety of EQ controls, then this item is a VERY affordable option. If I had done more research beforehand, then I would have realized that this wasn’t the product I was looking for.
This is a good, cost-effective mixer for home studio recording, podcasting, streaming and live sound support. Having bluetooth built-in is convenient for playing music from a smart phone or tablet without requiring any additional audio cables.
The analog-to-digital sound conversion is only 16 bits instead of 24 like some of the more expensive, higher-quality mixers so it’s not ideal for professional-grade recording. Having a reverb effect built-in is handy for recording or streaming singing, but it would have been nicer if they had included a wider variety of digital effects than just different degrees of echo.
I have had mine for about a month now. It seems to work really good. Build quality seems nice too. I use mine here in my home studio. I have my 2 synths plugged in with a slight mix of delay. It works and sounds good.

I am not an audio novice. I used this mixer for a couple of months before I wrote this review to be as fair as possible. For all of its quality build and features, it is unfortunately unnecessarily overcomplicated.
It is the most user unfriendly, unintuitive piece of technology I have experienced since Lotus-123. I recommend when opening the box to remove the manual and set it on fire, that will be the most use you get out of it.
As far as Tascam product support – yeah-no. Better off looking for online videos. Not only does it help to be a sound engineer, but you also need to know the Tascam “language”. Bottom line they tried to do too much in one box.
This board was primarily designed as an interface for DAW,MIDI,USB and other add on equipment. As a basic home multitrack recorder, not so much. Too many shortcomings to mention. If you have the time and patience, you can eventually figure out through hours of frustrating trial and error, how to do simple recordings.
I believe as more companies put out multitrack recorders that record directly to an SD card, this model will become obsolete.

The MGP32X replaced an aging Mackie 32-channel mixer which was cutting out intermittently after many years of service in our contemporary worship service. I purchased this board for our bands FOH mixer. We used it for our gig at an outdoor event recently. We hired an experienced sound engineer with touring experience to mix our show. Our sound engineer could not stop talking about how easy this board is to use.
He likes the analog ease and the digital functionality of the board. I had a chance to go in front to listen to a couple of solo performances from our keyboard player and all I can say is WOW, WOW and WOW.

Hadnt owned a Yamaha mixer in years and was a bit skeptical about purchasing one but needing the 6 monitor outs. Well I could not be more pleased that I made this choice. This mixer is absolutely 2 thumbs up.
The sound quality is amazing and very easy to operate. Great sound FX and clean delivery.
Great board packed with features. Compressor/FX/eq. All very easy to use. The Ipad software is great and intuitive. Preamps are great. Was not expecting so much of an improvement in sound quality over my old board.
Only complaint is I wish I could assign the onboard EQ to the aux sends. Not that big of a deal. Have used it for live sound only. Time will tell on how well it handles being moved around for live gigging but I can’t find a case out there since it is fairly new on the market so am building one.
Also, wish companies would stop claiming 24 channels on these boards. This is a 16 channel board from the standpoint of the live band application. The other “8” stereo channels just add bulk to the board for my use and let yamaha call it a 24 channel board.

My first one worked great for two years then middle of gig left main out stopped working. Bought another. Worked great for three years! Left main out stopped working! My third one great for last three years and yep, left side main out just went out during a gig! I don’t understand why left goes out.

I make music using a DAW and am going to start performing it live so i wanted to get a mixer that has effects that i can apply to vocals and also have some basic sound control over the sound coming from USB, i also use a midi controller to control sound in program.
I wanted something not too large, aesthetically pleasing to my eye, and something that would be fairly easy to figure out as i have only just started learning digital music in the last year and a half.
I haven’t performed live yet but i did go to the venue and do a test run with the mixer and laptop and it sounded amazing. No buzzing (previous mixer i was borrowing was older and had some feedback), light weight, fits perfectly on my laptop/mixer stage stand, and i really enjoy the knobs vs sliders.
I feel that for the price, this is the best choice i could have made. I almost went with a Yamaha that was cheaper but the Allen and Heath had nothing but positive reviews on every site i looked at where as the Yamaha had mostly good reviews but some negative reviews that seemed like a gamble for the money, so i decided the price was an investment in my music, and in my opinion it really is a very good price.
I have been using the mixer at home while i practice and i think (and hope) it and i will have a long, fun journey together.
Title says it all. The sweepable mix makes all the difference. The FX sound great. The hi-z input sounds better than my radial DI. If youre a singer songwriter looking for a really solid board, get this.
Dont waste your time and money on the Yamaha, Mackie, and especially not the Behringer. A friend of mine has had his for over 10 years and its still solid as a rock. Im very picky with my gear. Get this board.

This is a replacement for an 802 that I bought new from Guitar Center six years ago. That’s why I had the exact power supply on hand. One channel went bad and the new units are nearly double the price now.
Six years out of a low end mixer is a good value to me. It lives on an end table and has never left the house so I can’t say if it’s road worthy or not. Used mainly as a headphone amp, I have the PC, a TV and a Stratocaster all running into it.
There are additional stereo inputs for a keyboard and an effects loop that can be used as yet another input. The output is routed into my Altec PC speakers so I can watch football and practice guitar at volume when she’s not home.
Otherwise I use the headphones. Everything is hardwired, no repatching or plugging needed.
The GOOD: well built steel case, rugged unit, good mic preamps, 4 sets of British EQs, doesn’t take up much space in your gig bag or performance area. The BAD: Behringer is infamous for power supplies burning out in 12 to 18 months time and for me always in the middle of a gig.
Because of the ridiculous pin connection to the unit, no other manufacturer sells a power supply that is compatible. Do yourself a favor and just order a replacement now as they aren’t too expensive.
Next, the bottom gain controls are NOT supported by the case but merely the circuit board inside. Over time they will bend, get static, cut in and out and make that channel useless. I keep switching input channels until there are no good ones left.
Conclusion: I bother with these known shortcomings as the price point is excellent and the unit does a great job with vocals and background music for my small bar trivia events. After going through 2 or 3 power supplies, the unit has a lifespan of about 3 to 4 years with weekly use.
This unit really muffled the sound of the speakers when I FINALLY found a way to hook them up. I wanted to use it for the received signals from my ham radio equipment and filter some unwanted tones, but when I transmitted, it also made nasty feedback sounds.
