20 Best Air Freshener Scent For Car (2022 Updated)

Good at covering ordors in small areas. One pad will not deordorize a standard room. They seem to last about 3 weeks max. I use them in the bottom of our big trash cans between the liner and the bottom of the can.

Good for lockers. Leather scent does not smell like leather but it is close. A can of lysol is cheaper but does not cover scents as long as these do.

I love these air fresheners. This product & new leather scent is my favorite which u can smell throughout the car. I gave them to a couple of friends with my high recommendation.

There is not much better than cuddling a newborn to your chest and smelling his precious head. These cent packs make it possible by simply Hiding one of them in his clothing. I highly recommend adding them to your reborn doll if it doesnt already have one.

It has made me love my dolls all the more. I am going to try a batch for my car. Why not smell that special baby smell when Im driving around town.

The product–California Scents generally–is fabulous. Pop the top just a bit for the first couple of days. Then, pull it off. After a week or so, move the pads around so that different surfaces are exposed.

Buying the product from Walmart online is a crap shoot–well, the odds are not really that good. I have ordered a 4 pack of Vanilla twice. The first time, I got 4 cherries. The latest time, I got three different scents, not of which were vanilla.

The product is superb–Walmart, not so much.

My Man buys these. He’s only loyal to California Scents Coronado Cherries. This isn’t the gel one so it’s more potent than the gel. Lasts longer. You can move the foam around to get more scent when you feel like it’s not as potent anymore.

Definitely gives me headaches because it is such a strong scent. If you love nice smelling things, this is for you.

No smell. Didn’t fill up my suburban at all. Little Tree air fresher does better without even revealing the whole tree. Guess I’ll stick with what really works.

I’m obsessed with this stuff. My husband and I quit smoking 4 years ago and our cars still smelled so badly of smoke. Even after having them detailed and literally every inch of the cars scrubbed. I ran one of these approximately once a month for about 3 months.

Along with keeping the windows open in the garage, the smoke smell completely went away (and trust me, an ex-smoker can smell cigarettes from a mile away so I KNOW the smell was gone). I have continued to use this over the years because it just helps freshen up any car!.

I bought this air freshener around Christmas for myself, and used it thinking it was an excellent idea, but it wasn’t. At first my car did smell good, but soon after it started smelling sour like vinegar.

My girlfriend also used this exact freshener later, and soon enough her car started smelling like vinegar. I replaced my cabin air filter, and still have a hint of vinegar smell inside of my vehicle.

I drive a 19 mustang, and she drives a Malibu, so I have no idea as to why it made our vehicles smell like vinegar.

Was so excited to use Meguiar’s Car Air Refresher today and did everything as per the simple instruction on the package. However, when i pushed the cap and trigger no mist was coming out, just C2O. I stopped and re-triggered\pushed more times – same thing.

Then I shaked the can and mist started coming out but just for seconds then C2O only again. I just left this can inside the car as is and found that C2O was gone in less then 10 min, but a lot of scent fluid left inside the can.

Finally, i found that dashboard was full of oily small spots after drops, i tried to remove them with no success so far. So I got a defective one, wasted money and got cosmetic issue.

I followed the directions on the package- make sure it is closed, snap holder into the back, pull silver tab. It didn’t work at all. And I mean absolutely nothing. I thought maybe I didn’t pull it off all the way? Nope! It was off and it also began to leak everywhere.

Needless to say I’ve thrown them out and will stick with febreze or Yankee Candle co. Wish Glade hadn’t discontinued their plug in car fresheners that went into your cigarette lighter. Those were amazing and lasted forever and they didn’t make a mess at all!.

The liquid in the air freshener was gone in less than a week. I picked up the lavender version also to make sure it wasn’t a dud but that one only lasted 2 weeks.

Perfect scent for female vehicle! Highly recommend. Last a long time….still like new. Last longer than fabreze and all the rest.

I got this product as a sample and I cannot explain how pleased I am with this product. I was truly blown away how it replicated the new car scent that originally came in the car. It is definitely the closest and best smelling air freshener I have used because I am not a fan of sweet-fruity smells, nor am I fond of black ice, etc.

I believe part of the new car smell comes from the materials used in the car, hence why leather interior cars smell different than cloth interior cars. With that being said, this air freshener is most definitely replicating the cloth interior “new car scent”.

I spray about 3 pumps in the car and the spay bottle turns the liquid into a fine mist which doesn’t mark up or stain interior plastics (huge pet peeve of mine) like some of the other spray air fresheners out there.

The pleasant “new car” scent lasts for quite some time. The scent is not overpowering in any way and the smell doesn’t seem to cause headaches unlike other products out there, which is a major plus with people that are sensitive to scents.

I will definitely be purchasing more of this product in the future for myself and family. Would recommend to anyone and theres a good chance that you will NOT be disappointed.

I think almost everyone is in search of that new car smell, and while many companies make scents the SAY new car they clearly aren’t. You know the ones I’m talking about. available at most automotive stores Wal-mart etc.

I myself have been on the hunt and came across this product by Trinova “new car scent” so I figured I would give it a shot. Keep in mind everyone’s nose is different and what smells good or bad to one, may not have the same results for someone else.

So with that being said on to the review. I always do a smell test of these products before I spray the interior of my car so upon the initial sniff test it had a slight something similar to plastic, wax type of smell which in the bottle wasn’t bad at all.

it sort of mimics the “new car scent” BUT this is where that scent ends. I sprayed three sprays on the floor mats over night just like the bottle said. came back that morning opened my door only to be met with a sour nauseating smell that wouldn’t go away for about 3-4 hours.

I put all windows down trying to get that horrible smell out. I hate to say this one definitely fails as a new car scent for me. I had to return the bottle for a full refund. to me this stuff is just awful so buyer beware!!!.

It smells good – the scent is awesome – I used it in “low” for about 3 weeks. noticed scent was either dissipating, or I got used to it. Last couple of weeks, I have it on “high”, while I still see some product inside the tub, I do not get a scent.

I love the scent, but I wish it would last longer. I can’t do ~ $5/m for things to smell good inside my ride.

It has a very great smell. It smells like candy and last will very long. I keep one in the car and one in the bathroom. So far i had this over a week and still has a strong smell. I will check in for the 2 to 3 months check point.

Very good scent, excellent for your car, long lasting scent, perfect to slip under a seat. I have them in 2 of my vehicles and actually get compliments every time someone gets in one.

The scent is soooo bad and pungent, I wonder who likes this. And the seller is also very rude, I was willing to return the other 3 but they said they cant refund.

I made a mess in my car after a long night of bing drinking microbrews. My car really stank the next day. So I decided to buy this product, it worked good and I was able to use it on another older vehicle that had old vehicle smell.

Used it on three occasions from one can and I think I can squeeze another spray into my vehicle before I throw it away as empty.

This stuff nukes odors like no other freshener, including Lysol. I’ve read some reviews saying people don’t like the smell, but I actually kind of like it. It’s not fake smelling or some of the other common scented ones.

Used in the car and also the house to combat funky smells.

Ozium spray is unbelievable and works great. Better than every other spray Ive used. The great thing about it is you only have to spray once or twice depending on how big the room is. I will definitely order more soon.

I don’t understand this product. I recommend not to buy. I purchased this car plugin thinking it would be just as good or better than the other Glade car plugins but nope. If you want barely any fragrance.

or maybe none, this is for you. I have it in my car right now, I can’t even smell it. The other con about this plugin is it has no slider at the top to change the strength level of fragrance like the other ones.

Also, you have to assemble this plugin which is weird. the back clip has to be slipped on to the square. It should be easy BUT, mine would not slide in. after 10 minutes I contemplated if I was just dumb.

but no, after much unnecessary efforts it slid in. It is just incredible hard to slide on.

I got this to fill out an order for shipping, worth trying. Nice scent but definitely not “new car”. I like the scent but wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a true new car scent.

I have two labrador retrievers that I take to the park daily and was hoping to reduce thier odor on my car but was not succesfull with these air fresheners. You can hardly smell them and thats if you have the warm ac on the vehicle on.

Not worth it for me.

This product was a great value for the 3 piece set with a sale price to boot! However, the instructions for using it are a bit odd with having to expose the tree to a certain extent to control the fragrance level.

Huh? So the tree and the packaging must be hanging from my rearview mirror? It could totally be operator error, but I found that odd. Also, while the scent is fine, it doesn’t particularly smell like a new car to me, but I haven’t had a new car is quite some time! 🙂 I guess it all depends on what you are looking for and how you define value.

At first I was skeptical about having a air freshener that is a “NEW Car Scent”. What does that even mean? Does it mean it will smell like how your car smells when you first buy it? I have never looked into it, but I have had people tell me that the “New Car” smell you smell when you buy a new car is the seats and plastic in the car, but another person has told me dealers sprays a fragrant in the car to make it smell like a “New Car”.

What ever it is, there are many of us who misses that “Brand New Car” smell when you first purchase a car, not the old pizza and pets smell that some of us currently own. I am very curious! I must try the LITTLE TREES air fresheners New Car Scent.

Maybe this is what will bring back that old memory of a “New Car” aroma. I open the package and took a whiff. A little confused, but certain that it does not smell like the “Brand New Car” smell you smell when you first purchase a new car.

Although not what I have expected, it actually has a quite pleasant smell. Everyone has their own opinion when it comes to scents. I compare it to other fragrances that smells like of the “ocean” or “waterfall” scent.

I do find a small chemical scent which was a little off putting, but you only smell it if you have it really close to your face. I left it in the car overnight and the next morning when I got it, the whole car was filled with the “New Car” aroma.

First few days was very strong and the scent slowly diminished which I think is normal. It lasted for several weeks. I definitely do not mind smelling this every time I drive. The smell is pleasant and nice.

These air fresheners come in a pack of three. They are each tree shaped, the traditional normal air freshener shape. These are approximately 6 inches tall, they come with a thread to hang them from your mirror.

Scent is strong if you open the plastic package up all of the way when you first receive them. Follow the directions on the back of the package for opening. There is little slits that make it easy to rip open the plastic package.

Open the package just a little bit and have the tip of the air freshener hanging out. Then as time goes by you slowly pull the air freshener up a little bit at a time so that it does not overpower your vehicle with its scent.

I used the new car smell and it’s personally my favorite. Helps your vehicle smell new and fresh especially when you’re driving around a soccer team full of kids with sweaty bodies and stinky feet. I bought this a while ago as I recently got a new car. My partner chose this scent, normally he can’t pick one because they aren’t ‘good enough’. I was shocked when he easily chose this scent for the car! Thank you halfords!.

Cannot believe how much they have increased in price & why this variety 50p more expensive- yes I know – new & more colourful. They use to be under £1. This one now £2. However paid this as it was a part of a present & the recipient loves them.

This air freshener is amazing, it smells super good and it, makes my car smell super good, and I love it because it’s the best thing I have ever smelled in my life. And now, when I step in the car, I don’t smell that car smell, you know, I just smell cotton candy, vanilla caramel strawberry.

Great item. Not an over powering smell.

I never thought I would be writing a review for a car air freshener, but these little guys really are great. I have had the same freshener in my car for the past 3 weeks and the car still smells great.

I highly recommend this product.

I really appreciate the minimalist design. I had troubles with placing it into my car but after I managed how to handle the holder it was just fine and it perfectly fits into my car.

The pocket is not large, but it has a very intense scent that lasts. I can smell the fresh scent even if I just walk by the wardrobe where it is located. 🙂

These kind of work, but you get what you pay for. These always fall off of the vent and get lost in the cracks of my car. While they are on the vent they barely even smell. In my opinion it is worth it to pay more for a better quality product, but these will work okay in a pinch.

I put both of these on the air vents and you can hardly smell anything. Most times you smell literally nothing. Every once in a while you may catch a quick whiff. Doesn’t matter if the AC is on or off.

Total waste of money!!! I had the lavender scent. Maybe other scents are better, but I won’t be wasting money to find out.

I purchased two 2-packs recently and i really like the scent. The bad thing is that they don’t last very long. The package claims 90 days of fragrance, but that is far from the truth. It lasted maybe a week.

The clip still has liquid left, but no scent comes out. I would not recommend this product.

It’s been 2 weeks since opening it, the smell is still strong. Not to mention there is another side that can be used. Not to mention the compact size of it! Totally would buy it again once the current one fades.

Awesome product, the fragrant is subtle yet powerful to keep the inside of the car smelling good. Plus it’s longer lasting than most product bought in stores here in Canada.
