20 Best Aftermarket Radio For Jeep Wrangler (2022 Updated)

Works great. No problems. The tech at Best buy installed it for me in my 2014 Jeep Sahara. I ended up only needing one, so he let me return the other. Couldn’t say enough great things about the tech, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and honest.

2019 Wrangler unlimited. These are well made connectors. They WILL work for the knee location in the dash of 2019 wrangler unlimited. They will NOT however work in the upper dash speakers. These are considerably larger than those.

Components are as pictured with 6″ leads, and quality connectors (standard speaker type 1 large, and 1 skinny).

Im very glad they made these for my vehicle. Im ver particular of all my stuff these was Convenient for installing my speakers throughout my car. Saves you from cutting and messing up my stock connecters and looks cleaner after the install.

I wanted to gain a little horsepower, gas mileage and fix the shifting on my 2008 JK after installing 33” tires. I noticed after putting larger tires on that my Jeep was a little sluggish off the line and it was shifting a bit differently at higher speeds.

Gas mileage had also dropped off a little. Now I’m by no means a computer whiz. I have to admit that downloading the updates was somewhat nerve racking. The website is not the best. It took me quite sometime to update mine.

I also went ahead and downloaded the Flashpac program which took me about 2 hours of waiting on the site. If you’re just looking to change tire size and to turn off that annoying TPMS sensor, then this is for you.

If you’re looking to gain horsepower and gas mileage then you’ll need the Flashpac program and if that is what you want then I suggest going ahead and buying the Flashpac device. Save the time and headache and just get it all at once.

With that being said, it did work just like advertised. I have noticed that my JK gets going a lot quicker now and I have so far gained about 2 mpg. Shifting is back to just like factory and my cruise control is not having trouble maintaining speed.

I am very satisfied.

I’ve got a 2-16 Wrangler with 4 inch lift and 35 inch tires. It felt like driving a slug. It wouldn’t go into overdrive and took off like a wet paper airplane. The rpms were always either too high or too low.

I got a new transmission under warranty thinking that was the problem. Well, after buying this and taking 3 minutes to install and program the correct tire size, my keep drives amazingly. It shifts properly, takes off quicker, drives quieter and has power.

I recommend this product to everyone that wants to improve their Wrangler after larger tire installation. Can’t praise it enough.

Bought this when I upgraded to 35’s. Shopped around and this got great reviews on all of the sites I checked. It arrived before the wheels did which gave me plenty of time to update/register it and mess with it a little.

I noticed my JL was a little sluggish on the way home from getting the tires put on and seemed to not shift right so I was eager to get this thing hooked up when I got home. Kudos once again to ET for their awesome install videos because the directions that come with it have pictures of where the connection for the bypass module is located, but they are taken at a weird angle.

After watching where Meredith pulled the wires from, the rest was easy. Took her for a test drive and the sluggishness was gone and it seemed to shift more like it originally did. I also love how you can download a tuner onto this unit and have both tuner and programmer units in one and save time/money shopping for a whole other unit.

Looking forward to what else this thing can do for my JL!.

I got the base raw so I could see if there were any issues (cracks, oversized screw holes, defects…) that could cause problems down the road. I was very pleased that there were no issues. The second reason I got the base in raw was so I could Powder Coat it myself and get it the exact color I wanted.

It worked out perfect. I took an already perfect base and added to it to make it match what I was looking for. I really like that I could find the base I liked, in raw, so I could add to it. For me, it has a great design, and is well made.

Removal of the old one was a bit tricky. YouTubed it and since I was dealing with wife’s new baby, so make sure your tools have good grip! Took less than an hour to install and that’s with over-thinking.

Good luck, you will love the finished look. 3 months and looks just as new as the vehicle!.

So easy to install. Only took me 10 minutes to install. Looks so much better than the factory antenna base. Remove antenna, remove factory antenna base, remove 3 bolts. Now put the 3 bolts that come with the new antenna base through the base, put the supplied gasket on the three bolts on opposite side of base.

Line up the holes on your Jeep and tighten them all the way. Now screw back in your antenna and your all done. Easy Peezy.

If you are looking for a quiet exhaust this is not for you. Videos do not do this exhaust sound justice. Overall this is exactly what I was looking for, nice rumble and great sounding in higher rpms.

Install took a few hours after fighting and cutting out the stock bolts from the factory y pipe flange. If you are in the northeast where roads are salted heavily, do yourself a favor and grab a grinder or cutoff wheel and some new bolts.

There is a bit of drone at highway speeds, but this was expected and is not overly prevalent to me. Packaging was a bit mediocre however, and some of the powder coated parts were scratched up and a small dent in one of the exhaust tips.

Not a big deal to me as this is a truck after all, and will be eventually beat up a bit from normal driving. Overall pretty satisfied at this time.

This is my second aftermarket exhaust setup on my Jl wrangler so my review is going to be based on comparison of this and the dynomax dual tip muffler. When I say this has no drone I mean absolutely none! The dynomax muffler had drone, my old tj with no cat has drone but this, no drone! It’s loud and throaty when you punch it and super quiet at idle.

As a matter of fact the Idle is so smooth after installing this I can’t feel the jeep running. Runs smooth. So basically it’s a quality exhaust setup all around. It’s quiet and loud exactly where you would want it to be, along with better performance.

I ended up cutting my old muffler out because it was stuck so it made for an easy installation. Used a reciprocator saw and a hack saw to cut it as I have the two door. Pieces slid right into each other like a glove.

Took about an hour 1/2 max.

Just installed the MBRP Pro cat back, I’m giving this 5 stars because I love it as far as the product itself. -It’s a high tuck system, so you won’t bash it on any rocks or trail debris. -Sounds great! Not super loud, but gives a deeper rumble and a little pop if you’ve got a manual trans and engine brake.

-Saves a lot of weight too. This whole system weighs about the same as the muffler alone on the stock system. -Great material. High quality 304 stainless will last much longer than stock pipes and a lot of other aftermarket options.

Now for the bad. The only bad is the installation being a little difficult. I didn’t watch the entire video, so it may be mentioned in there. But the 2 door and 4 door version are the same package. So if you have a 2 door, you will have to cut the pipe.

There are cutting instructions included, but this is still an extra step I wasn’t expecting. If someone was expecting a simple bolt-on and didn’t have access to certain tools this could stop them from being able to complete the install, so just a heads up.

You should know that going in. The other rough part of the installation is how tight it fits. There is a lot of maneuvering to get it in place perfectly. It’s a high tuck system, so it’s kind of expected – but it is difficult with one set of hands.

Especially the union over the rear axle and the last exhaust hangar near the bumper. May want to have exhaust hangar pliers and a small pry bar. m handy. All that said – it’s a great sounding system made with high quality materials for a great price that does exactly what it claims to do.

The install was a little rough, but I’m not letting that influence the review because all high tuck systems like this are kind of difficult. I just wish the cutting step was mentioned on the main page simply because this isn’t exactly a bolt-on at that point and could be a deal breaker for some people.

A very nice, inexpensive sun shade that’s easy to put on and take off. Really makes a difference when the summer sun is beating down. It is an absolute lie saver! Quality is good, but not great. One of the bungee tie downs pulled out on one side when we were first putting it on, I was able to tie a loop in the bungee and still use it.

It was more frustrating than anything when it happened, since we just took it out of the box and was putting it on for the first time. The middle Velcro isn’t quite long enough or strong enough and it regularly pops lose.

It really doesn’t affect the install since there are multiple points on the front that keep it in place. The description says you can still use freedom panels with it on, but I haven’t figured it out yet, since the sun shade is keeping me from getting to the lock downs, and the Velcro is in the way for where they attach to the windshield.

There are holes that will allow you to put in the screws through the roll bar for the freedom panels. We just in hook the front and roll it up when we need to put the panels back on. Overall, we enjoy the sun shade, and I wouldn’t hesitate to consider it again.

This was incredibly easy to install, which is nice. I love that it came with an adhesive for the front side because it keeps the whole piece from falling back. The length and width are perfect and the velcro straps are convenient.

The one biggest issue I have with it is that the back part slips too much and it make the whole unit flap as I drive. I have to adjust it daily and know that it will come loose as soon as I hit the freeway.

A fix for that would be a small bar embedded across the back of the shade to keep it from sagging, something that I might try to add when I have a chance. Otherwise, great piece and it does mostly get the job done!.

This top is amazing! I experience arthritis, and struggled with tops in the past – – zippers and such that required a lot of finger work. I longed for a top that was more open-handed, smooth, and easy to remove.

This top delivers all that and more. I opted to pay for installation; TOTALLY worth it for me. The tech was polite, efficient, and precise. The top itself is quieter than my last three, and I have yet to utilize the zippered pouches (I have a sun net above).

It’s been on two weeks, and even with the Florida sun beating down, it can be a challenge to latch. I am certain this will improve with age. Thanks for a GREAT BUY. I’ll be back.

This product worked great. It was simple to install, addressed my loss of the prior antenna mount when I put Smittybilt armor on the Jeep. There was no conflict with the pilot/guide hole (for the one hole you have to drill) and the armor bolts to the tub.

At a glance it looks like there might be, but once mounted it cleared it easily. The one hole you do have to drill, is perfectly located so that it comes out above the sheet metal in the rear of the tub.

It does not come out under it where you cannot put your hand to install a nut. It is just the right location so that you can even get a wrench on the but between the sheet metal and nut. of course you have doubts when you look at it- but its just right.

The antenna, once mounted, is aligned with the rear corner of the top. This placement is perfect because on close trails it is not getting hit by every branch/tree as they rub the side of your rig. They are also not pulling it back to release it and let it slap the top (if you use a spring based antenna like mine).

It did not conflict with fastening the soft top at the bottom where it meets the back tail gate, the tire carrier, the high lift I have mounted horizontally behind the tire on the carrier, or anything else back there.

I did need longer bolts to reinstall my tail lights because the added thickness of the mount in addition to my 1/4″ armor was just a little too much. I did have to bump the mount once with a dremel for 2-3 seconds to get a little more bare metal for a good ground (sandpaper will do just fine too).

I liked having the option to mount on either side of the Jeep, and ended up going with the driver’s side. Having used different locations on my rig over the years (rear bumper, tub, tire carrier, etc.

) this so far has been the best spot and took no time at all to put on. Unless you can’t locate your tools, need longer bolts like me, or have zero mechanical aptitude it should not take longer than 20 minutes to install the mount.

It will take you longer to re-route your coax than to put this on.

This is a simple installation. You use a Philips screwdriver to remove the lens cover of the taillight and a small socket wrench or nut driver to remove the 3 factory bolts. You put the plate behind the taillight and use the new screws to attach the bracket.

It takes less than 15 minutes. Bracket is sturdy and looks great. I bought one of the cheaper generic ones on E-bay first which didn’t fit and was cheaply made. Save your money and get this one, it actually fits perfectly.

It will fit factory tire carriers and aftermarket ones that utilize the factory bolt pattern that attached the stock tire carrier to the door like the MetalCloak hinge tire carrier. I used this along with my MetalCloak hinge tire carrier and it works great.

Only steps to take is to sand the powder coat down where you bolt to the Jeep and the bottom side where you attach the cb cable for best ground without having to run an extra ground wire. Install take about 30 minutes with the mentioned prep work.

Ignore all the reviews about how hard it it to do this upgrade. It cant be much easier to improve the comfort of the Wrangler’s back seat than by unscrewing some bolts and running them back in! I will give these three bits of advice though.

1. Watch the install video first. 2. Wear gloves in case the tool you are using slips to protect your hands. 3. (Most importantly) Use the right socket set. I was showing my 16 year son about leverage by letting him work these bolts out with various tools.

We used a 1/2″ Drive socket set with a 20″ ratchet to break the bolts free. We also played around with a 3/8″ Drive x 12″ and a 3/8″ Drive x 8″ ratchet. I imagine the folks complaining about how hard it is to turn the bolts were using small ratchets.

Even with my 20″ ratchet, it was tough to back those bolts out. A breaker bar would be nice too but they are so long it is hard to get much sweep on the bar.

After researching many recline kits I was ready for this to be a bear to install. It ended up be much easier than I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong, the bolts were a pain to get loose, I needed a 3 ft breaker bar to get them moving, however the rest of the install went smoothly.

All of the bolts lined back up (a common problem that a lot of people have) and did not cross thread when tightening back down. The recline, while slight, made a huge difference on long trips.

I saw these on a JK forum and did some research. Excellent reviews, but all mentioned the difficulty of removing the bolts by hand. Everything was as advertised. If you can use an impact wrench, this install would be very easy.

Doing it by hand will require adding an extra pipe over your ratchet just to get extra leverage. Once installed, these spacers make a huge difference. The seats recline just enough and there’s more leg room.

I’ve had a big 6’4”, 260 lb friend ride in the back with no complaints. My big kids love the slight recline and extra leg room, and the baby’s car seat fits in the back much better now. This should be a factory setting in my opinion.

Definitely worth the effort to install them and your rear seats will still fully fold down. Tips: – borrow an impact wrench if you don’t have one. – if you do it by hand, use another hollow pipe over your ratchet to get extra leverage.

This is going to be quite a workout for your arms and hands – and will take you a good hour or so by hand. But it is completely doable. – the rear bolts under the seat are tricky because of the angle.

I used a shorter hollow pipe over my ratchet on those and also an extension on my ratchet. Go slow on those so that you don’t injure your hand on the metal hardware under the seat. My ratchet popped off the bolts several times as I was having to use quite a bit of force to get the bolts out.

If I did not have the pipe over my ratchet, I would have torn my hands up. – Use your seat belt to wrap around the seats when you get the front bolts out to keep the seats from falling on you while you loosen the rear bolts under the seats.

– when you reinstall the seats, add some locktite to the bolts. – if I had to do it over again, I totally would, but I’d use an impact wrench for sure.

Overall it is a well made product. Looks nice and tightens the feeling of the steering. Issues: I have RC 2. 5” lift on 2017 Jeep JK Unlimited and no matter how I have adjusted this kit, the drag link rubs the middle cover plate.

I’ve literally adjusted every component and it rubs at full lock when the suspension is flexed. ***I would not install on anything with less than 3” lift. *** The stabilizers that came with the kit seem too long.

Instructions tell you to adjust the brackets on the tie rod to center them and prevent the shocks from bottoming out. You can’t do that unless you shift the axle bracket away from the diff housing, which causes severe rubbing issues with the cover plate and drag link.

Read reviews outside of this website and you’ll see others have the same complaint.

I couldn’t believe how chincy the stock stabilizer bars are on jeeps until I added this dual stabilizer bar setup to my 2017 JK. Bone stock when bought, I added a 2. 5 inch Teraflex lift and 33’s which gave me the usual jeep wander/grabbing at any ruts in the road.

not super fun to drive being pulled all over your lane on back country roads. This kit makes me feel like I’m driving my boyfriends Ram down the road without any issue. Wranglers will always wander slightly.

This kit surpassed what I was trying to accomplish with wander and tightening up play in the steering. Well worth the money! Had to adjust the right bracket after install to prevent binding up when the wheel was fully spun.

Other then this, install was just over an hour.

Only on a week. for price it does its job i. Too soon to rate it really. Time will tell. Needed it fast and it came fast. I used it as a bandaid for for death wobble while I continued to search for the problem.

No more wobble and steering is better. Track bar bolts w, lower control arms not at spec. Problem seems to be gone. For now new track bars and control arms on orderr since tie rid and drag link can be adjusted with the lift.

I do belive believe this is a bandaid for wobble but still worth the purchase.

Definitely a bang for your buck item. I got a shop to install this dash kit, cost 100-130 depending on the shop. The sho had ZERO issues with this item and it has a flawless finish. Definitely would recommend this dash kit to all mustang owners.

No problems with this problem whatsoever, have had it installed in my car for about 6 months no and it holds my radio perfectly. there is small gaps but it is too dark to really notice them unless your shining a flashlight at it.

Just a little modification, and it works fine. It doesn’t come with any instructions. Some of the tabs and mounting holes need cut off.

I dont like my phone up in my windshield or clipped to a vent and had trouble finding anything that would hold well down lower. This mount has a very small base and can be mounted in many places out of the way.

Magnet is very strong. Only down side is my contact charging was blocked by the large square metal plate on the phone. The smaller round plate is used down lower to allow contact charging again. Both plates are supplied.

I installed this kit to replace my single din Pioneer with a double din Kenwood DNX-571HD head unit with navigation, bluetooth, etc. Anyways, I am very happy with this kit. It comes with everything you need EXCEPT the 6 metal dash clips (you must reuse the ones off your old dash piece) and a dremel to trim the inside of the dash.

Everything worked perfect in this kit. The only hard part was triming the support tray for the factory radio out of the dash because my dremel wasn’t small enough to fit in the dash. The dash piece is high quality though.

The kit includes the center dash piece, two side brackets to mount the radio, the top tray for the dash piece, two screws to secure the tray, the wiring harness, an antenna adapter, and detailed instructions.

The whole install took me about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. Overall I am very happy with this kit. Highly recommend!.

For model years 1997/98 you will need to make some modifications utilizing sections from your OEM bezel, some skill and patience will produce a factory looking result. A dremel with cutting disc, fiberglass matt resin w/ hardener Chip brushes Above can be purchased from Home depot.

Mixing containers (i used soda cups from wawa) You will need to cut the mounting clips and ashtray holder off the OEM bezel and graft them onto the new bezel see photos. For model years 1999 to 2006 this kit will work as is.

You may need to experiment with radio positioning due to minor dash substructure modifications to get the perfect uniform bezel gap around your double din radio.

Used on my 2003 ram 1500 alt with a alpine radio fits perfect, easy to connect wires with aftermarket radio.

Make sure you follow the template. Don’t just cut off the crabs you think you need. My don learned the hard way

Bought this specifically for the CD for my Harley but it skips too easily on the slightest bumps. This is a manufacturer thing not a garagebaggerstereo thing. Garagebaggerstereo had excellent customer service.

I would not recommend for a motorcycle or a boat. But I would recommend garagebaggerstereo. com.

The SKYRC IMAX is the real version not a knockoff and the difference is night & day. This LIPO charger has better electronics and has a built in cooling fan to protect them. Also, the instructions are very detailed about everything you can imagine.

It also balances cells better and best of all it does not overcharge LIPOs like most chargers do, which will damage them beyond repair. Super charger for the price.

This kit came with everything needed to fit my Traxxas Rustler, and installation was simple and straight forward. The bearings that came in the kit are rubber sealed and smooth, they seem well made so far.

All the steel parts in this kit are thick and seem as though they will have very good longevity. I noticed two things when installing this kit that could be slightly concerning. The first is a slight fitment issue with the hub’s.

The lower pin is rather tight and could cause some binding in the suspension travel. The second is with the retainer ring that helps hold the upper pin in. It has a small split in it that the pin can slip out of should the grub screw come loose.

Ive been using the b6 mini for a couple of years to power all kinds of projects. Its very versatile and even has enough power to bring a dead car battery to life. Discharging takes a long time but charging is fairly quick unless its a monster of a battery- its wattage rating and the rating of your power supply will determine how much of those 50-60 advertised watts will be flowing.

I like it enough to have bought a second one for simultaneous use.

This is a really mellow exhaust, at a slow crawl you get a nice beefy deep tone, and when you really lay into it on a on-ramp to the freeway you hear it. But over all it is quiet, no drone on the freeway.

It sounds way better then stock, but if you want to rev you engine and hear that exhaust sing, this isn’t it. But if you want some sound, and to sound like you have done some work to your Jeep, yet not bug all the parents in the drop off line at school, this is the one.

It may sound like I have mixed feelings, it’s because I do. I can feel the power difference for sure, I also did a AFE cold air intake at the same time and you can feel that beautiful combo working together! But I would have preferred a little more sound, on the flip side my wife loves it and being a family man a happy wife is a happy life!.

Exhaust arrived perfect condition but I had issues with two of the Clamps. I had to mod both to get them tight enough for my liking. I also don’t care how there is no lip for the hangers. That’s me being nit picky, it shifts a little more than I cared for.

Install is stupid easy compared to removing the old one. Just cut it, you’ll love the tone of the AFE, I can almost promise you. No lift for me, had I been able to get it in the air, I wouldn’t have had to cut it and the stock exhaust would still go to the scrap pile.

I am very happy with the tone and clearance.

This is my second aftermarket cat-back exhaust. First one was a little too obnoxious sounding for me. Plus, the sound never matched the speed of the vehicle. It sounded like you should be blasting off, but my jeep would be only running jeep speed.

This pipe looks cool, sounds better than stock, and the sound matches the actual performance of the jeep – If that makes sense. I’m happy over all with it. I already had my stock exhaust off so this only took about 30 min to slip on.

Biggest pain in the ass is the exhaust hangers. If I had it to do over I’d buy the correct tool to remove these. It took me about 30 min to get the stock exhaust off. I didn’t really notice a performance gain, so when it is all said and done this was purely for looks and sound.

I’m ok admitting that out loud.

So you might guess by the title I chose, this assembly doesn’t have good sound. Not true, but I did buy this purely for the look and marginal performance gains from opening up the exhaust a bit. Don’t expect your sound to keep pace with the Hemi Challenger’s or V8 Mustang and Camaro crowd.

Your truck is still gonna sound like a 6cyl. with an open exhaust. Having said that, this is a quality built system with good hardware provided. The black tips are a full 4. 5 inches wide at the exit and really do look great dumping out behind the rear wheels.

This kit is as good as you would expect from a name like Flowmaster. I am very satisfied with the way the kit installed and how easy the stock system comes out in one piece. The sound is exactly as the install video from XT depicts, a 4 out of 5 on the loudness scale when putting your foot in it and just a very low rumble at idle.

My only negative (see pics), on my 2022 SR5 there is slightly too much flange that is intended to sit inside the recess provided on the kits mating flange. That piece of the stock exhaust needs to be ground down an 1/8th to 3/16ths if an inch to properly and flush mate the stock side and kit side of the 2 bolt flange mating surfaces.

I completed my install as a rainstorm was starting so I will grind that down on another day. An afternoon is generous. If you have a critical eye as I do, adjusting these tips for symmetry on both sides of the truck will take some patience, took me about 20 minutes and just a little bit of back and forth to get them dead on even.

I absolutely love this exhaust! I have been using it for the past 5 months ever since I bought the truck. I really disliked the stock exhaust for it’s look and quality of sound. I wanted a little something extra in the way of sound, and this exhaust fits the bill almost perfectly.

The only thing I will mention is that when you have an additional side exhaust on the driver’s side it may impact you if you decide to get bigger tires or wheels. The 5th wheel is stowed underneath the bed and the exhaust fits fine with stock tires, however with 33s or larger you will start to touch against the exhaust which obviously can dispense large amounts of heat.

Using heat shield can prevent any burning or damage to the tires but it is something to mention I didn’t think of when I bought the exhaust. Other than that it is fantastic, it is a little throaty in the early rpms (2-3.

5) and really starts to rip in the latter (4-6). It is not too loud where it wakes up the neighbors, but enough to have fun with. I mean for the price it is hard to beat really. I looked at carbon exhausts, which can sound incredible at high rpm, but they get expensive quick, and can be much louder.

The drone only starts to get a little annoying around 80 and up in mph. Took me 6 hours and a 12 pack of miller lites to put on.

Your stock exhaust is design to be noise a reduction feature. What it does is restricts airflow as well as noise levels. So when you add exhaust you increase the noise level as well as its breathing ability to expel exhaust.

The benefit is when you have a manual transmission you can actually hear when you should shift. I added Cold air intake as well as a 1 inch throttlebody spacer. It helps some what but it doesn’t turn it into a race car.

I gained about an extra gallon of fuel per tank full. You can do the math on that. And a little increase power from 3500 – 4500 rpm range. If you’re all right with a little noise Hook yourself up if not keep it stock.
