Discover ultra-fluid professional acrylic ink from Liquitex. Developed exclusively for pouring effects and flow painting, this set includes a Pouring Medium and three deep colours that work as a tonal palette.
Unlike regular ink, Liquitex Acrylic Ink is made with finely milled lightfast artist-quality pigments instead of dyes, so will not fade over time. Pure, water-resistant and permanent colour. The Deep Colours Pouring Technique set includes: 3 x 30ml Acrylic Ink (Iridescent Bright Gold, Deep Violet and Turquoise Deep) 1 x 118ml Pouring Medium.
Let me be specific about the stained glass paint- I used these inks to color Plaid Gallery Glass Window Color Crystal Clear and they do mix in and color the clear while maintaining transparency without issues (that is, using the ink colors that are transparent already).
I don’t know if these would work for the same purpose in a different clear medium however. It took about 11 drops of the ink to color 1 oz of clear with adequate color depth so a little really will go a long way.
My only complaint- and it’s not much of one- is that a few of the colors I chose to buy are not as pigmented as others, the Yellow Medium Azo for instance- 16 drops of Yellow versus 2 of Phthalo Blue Green and the color is still more green than yellow.
This has been the best way to color the clear than anything else I’ve tried and I’m pretty happy with them.
This was my first time using Acrylic Liquid Ink. There are tons of ways to use this product, but I chose to experiment with the Acrylic Liquid Ink and Alcohol Inks. WOW!! Amazing duo – extremely vibrant colors, easy to apply – the dropper is the key – a little goes a long way!! Really enjoying the fluidity of the inks and how well the color holds up after drying.
I was introduced to Liquitex acrylic inks through an art therapist who uses them in her studio sessions. I really like how the dyes’ colors are both vibrant and translucent, and how they can be layered on a canvas.
I have so enjoyed experimenting with this product in her studio that I recently ordered a personal supply for my use at home.
Better used as a medium for your paints. Not so good as using it for a resin finish. Leaves your painting a little tacky and if you wanted a resin look. you’d have to put on many many coats with at least a week in between applications.
Your better off to do a real resin. Watch some Utube videos on how to do it.
I use liquid glass as my gloss varnish its great need to know how to use it can be tricky. its dry the next day. this stuff was not glossy , sticky for days and showed so many brush marks. i sent it back.
Apple Barrel 64 fl oz Paint Pouring Medium is ideal for use with any Apple Barrel acrylic paint to create the perfect paint for your pouring projects! Create fascinating marbled and swirled effects by simply mixing equal parts pouring medium and Apple Barrel paint; the medium will not alter the adhesion or color of the paint once mixed! For indoor use only on wood, canvas, or other paintable surfaces.
Enjoy a satin finish with the addition of Pouring Medium to your paint. Pouring is a fun and easy craft for people of all ages. Explore many different techniques such as direct pouring and dirty pouring.
The Apple Barrel 64 fl oz Pouring Medium comes in a large size due to the amount of paint needed to complete pouring projects – these are often larger projects that cover larger surface areas.
So let me start by saying that I’m not a professional painter or crafter. I am experienced, though. If you are a professional painter and/or want the best of the best products, the highest grade, and top notch quality, you’re most likely not using Apple Barrel products to begin with, so you likely wouldn’t use this product anyways.
I have never had a problem with Apple Barrel products. I purchase them regularly. They have a wide selection of products available. They meet my needs and are affordable. They perform adequately. As for this specific product, it performed well.
However, it is a little bit runnier than some of the more expensive/higher quality pouring mediums. Normally you use a 1:1 ratio of pouring medium to paint. So let’s say you use 1 cup of paint, then you would use 1 cup of pouring medium.
Because this is a little bit thinner, I found it worked better with about 1/2 : 1 ratio. So 1 cup of paint to 1/2 cup of pouring medium. Up to 2/3 cup of pouring medium for 1 cup paint was still okay, also.
More than that, and it just got too runny and poured too fast and really affected the colors. If you are just starting out and experimenting, this will meet your needs. Buy with confidence! (just don’t use a 1:1 ratio) If you have kids/students wanting to copy what they see online with the pouring craze, this will meet your needs.
Buy with confidence! (just don’t use a 1:1 ratio) If you are a career artist selling paintings and products for hundreds of dollars, this probably isn’t for you! But at this price point, does it really hurt to give it a try? You might be pleasantly surprised!.
This was by far one of the most fun things to do. My daughter and I started doing pouring a couple years ago. The hardest thing was to find a large enough size medium to do enough poor projects. This was perfect and the color that was provided was perfect as well.
The size was the most important And it’s perfect for multiple projects without having to worry about running out.
Apple Barrel Medium Satin finish is thick and drugs smooth. Easy to mix or run off colors. This product seems to go a long way with smooth flow. Perfect size for my projects and when the kids need in on the art activity.
When mixed with soft body acrylic colors, it flows easily to create thin, even sheets of color. Designed to reduce crazing and cracking and won’t hold bubbles. This fluid medium dries to a smooth, clear and flexible film.
It also retains a high gloss, wet appearance when dry. Will not add transparency when mixed with color. AP Seal, non-toxic.
Writing reviews because of the #sweepstakes prod. I use Liquitex Varnish and their Ultra Heavy Gloss Medium for doing hydroabrasion (also called water abrasion & a number of other terms) on porcelain and bone china before they are fired.
Instead of shellac, wax, or modge podge which almost all ruin your brushes, or aren’t heavy duty enough, or don’t fire out well enough in the kiln, both the Liquitex products you can use your best brushes which help you create the best designs, by painting the varnish or medium on the dry clay surface, sometimes layering more varnish/medium to get more raised areas after you use a damp sponge to wipe away the clay in between the varnished areas, which leaves the protected areas dry and raised in relief.
Most products just have so many drawback and the Liquitex products have zero drawbacks for this process, which when used with a clay that will fire translucent leaves beautiful designs that can be highlighted with various ceramic colorants or left complete white and translucent, polished with diamond pads.
It is a water based product so it comes off my brushes easily and I can keep my best brushes in good shape. I add a little vegetable dye to it usually so I can see my designs better and how thick I have made them, but that burns out in the firing, and this product cleanly burns out in the kiln with no increase in fumes like with shellac, And unlike some of the other products used for this technique, it burns out without a trace, not leaving grungy bits that have to be cleaned off or even dremeled off.
It also really doesn’t smell like the shellac does. I have tried shellac, various kinds of wax-ceramic and non-ceramic, and modge podge, which was supposed to be the savior for this technique but it turns out Liquitex mediums and varnishes actually are! Only drawback is I contacted Liquitex customer support to get technical info on UV resistance & aging data for another project & they never answered.
Liquitex Satin Varnish is my go-to for the optimal appearance and protection of my completed paintings. My clients take comfort in the fact that the pigment of their purchased works will be protected from harmful, color-fading UV rays.
The final sheen doesn’t bounce too much light as gloss finishes do. My favorite thing about this Satin varnish is that after application, the colors of my paintings become more vibrant. Though the application technique will take some practice, there are a host of online tutorials to utilize.
Use soft, wide brushes, several light applications, and don’t overwork it! Thought the manufacturer doesn’t suggest this, I have had success thinning this product: 9 parts product, 1 part water.
I usually use liquitex gloss or high gloss varnish. I wanted to have a less shiny finish for a couple of new pieces, so I tried this satin varnish. I usually dilute my varnish with 25% water but this time tried to follow the bottle instructions and applied the varnish undiluted.
It resulted in a streaky finish. I was able to apply a third coat using a 25% filtered water diluted mixture that resolved some of the streaking. I think in the future, the water mixture would be the necessary fix for entering proper working time for larger pieces.
Other than that, I love liquitex products and will continue to use these.
Sennelier Abstract is a heavy body multi-media acrylic paint with high pigment concentration. Abstract is a fine acrylic paint which meets all the stringent quality demands that are a guarantee of Sennelier paints.
With high pigment strength and a creamy to thick consistency Abstract provides a paint that is a pleasure to paint with by brush palette knife or straight from the pack. Abstract is composed of 34 single pigment colours among the range of 60 shades.
Abstract is notable for it’s innovative and flexible packaging that fits comfortably in the hand is highly portable and strong (so much so that it can even handle the pressure of being stepped on ) – plus the paint is better preserved because air cannot get inside the pouch.
There is no waste no air bubbles and it can be easily squeezed down to the last drop. Large 500ml pouch.
These are incredible paints, the texture and quality are fantastic to work with. I love the packaging as well, to be able to squeeze the paint right onto the canvas and then roll up at the end of the usage leaves zero waste.
The colors are so beautiful to play with and create with. I highly recommend trying them if you haven’t, you won’t be disappointed. I also use their oil sticks, another great product of theirs.
These acrylic paints are really nice quality and have a beautiful satin/matte finish unlike other acrylics which can be very shiny and glossy. They are a nice consistency and on the softer side of heavy body, they don’t feel plastic like other cheaper acrylics.
The packaging they come in is great and a lot easier to handle for someone like me with weak/painful hands and it helps to not pour out too much paint to save waste. Overall these are great for the price.
I am a mature BA Fine Art student. I have tried a few different types of acrylic paints. This type is outstanding by far. Versatile in use for dry brush strokes or fluid brush strokes. I used this paint in my seascapes and impressed my advisor of studies with the brushstrokes of the waves.
It may be a small pouch of paint but it covers large areas with small amounts as it has good concentration. You can squeeze out small amounts at a time. I like the packaging its easy to store or carry to different locations.
Perfect for painting, ceramics and crafting projects, the Sargent Art 16 oz. Acrylic Paint can be applied on most surfaces. This brown acrylic paint is non-toxic for children safety, making it ideal for any classroom project.
After drying, this paint provides high water resistance.
These are perfect. I’ve been going through paint like crazy mixing my own colors. These are far cheaper in a set than individually and they arrived in perfect condition. I use these for acrylic pouring and they mix very well with water and/or medium.
I myself used liquitex acrylics as a student in college but it gets too expensive for classroom use. This brand doesn’t have a whole array of color options as liquitex does but my students know how to mix color and get what they need so it suffices for the paintings we do in class.
I personally just wish they had more color options. For the colors that they have they are worth the price and are good use in the classroom.
We use these with our 3-15 year olds, and they are superior to the Blick we have used in the past. The pumps are easier to use to get to the center of a palette, less likely to dry up or get stinky, and have yet to clog.
Consistency is smooth and creamy, with even opaque coverage. Only issue is that the ‘turquoise’ is NOT a green-blue, more of a cerulean. Worth the price of a few extra dollars.
Liquitex Heavy Body color has a buttery, thick consistency that, when dry, retains the peaks and textures you create with your brush or painting knife. Ideal for artists who enjoy impasto techniques and experimenting with dimension.
This 6-Color Set contains one 22ml tube each of mars black, titanium white, naphthol crimson, cadmium yellow medium hue, pthalocyanine green (blue shade) and ultramarine blue (green shade).
I have used these a few times, most notably for a small pack of paint I could keep in my purse for art class in high school. I wasn’t a big fan. They were better than my Windsor and Newton set, but I didn’t find that they were better than the liquitex basics acrylics.
It’s a weirdly thick paint that is hard to spread, and it doesn’t provide the coverage I want when I’m painting.
This artist color paint has a thick consistency for traditional art techniques using brushes or knives as well as for experimental, mixed media, collage and printmaking applications. High pigment load produces rich, brilliant, permanent color.
This package 8. 5x6x1. 5 inch contains six 2oz tubes. Conforms to ASTM D4236. Imported. Size: 2 oz.

The paints blend, layer and mix brilliantly to produce unlimited shades for any project. This package contains 48 22ml tubes of acrylic paint in assorted colors. Non-toxic. Conforms to ASTM D 4236. Imported.

Everywhere I look I see these awesome pictures and all the fun ways take them, well with the Apple Barrel 44840E Pouring Medium, Satin Finish, Clear, 16 fl oz I can do it myself. It is extremely easy to mix and even easier to pour.
It doesn’t have a strong scent at all. I highly recommend trying this for a fun experience and so you can have a beautiful piece of art you made all by yourself.
I poured this down the drain. Just started pour painting so was experimenting with different brands. Had DecoArt, Liquitex and then this. This performed so poorly in mixing that I couldn’t even pour it.
Was mixing acrylic base colors with pour medium and this was so thin that it just wouldn’t mix with the colors and kept separating. Ended up pouring the bottle down the drain because it was just useless for my pour-painting purposes.
Can buy like-type products at comparable prices that actually work so I do not recommend this product.
I purchased this topcoat for an acrylic painting I was working on that dried really flat and needed a glossy pop! I did some research online and found that the Deco Art Clear Pouring Topcoat might do just the trick.
This topcoat is meant to be poured over your artwork to create an even glaze. I used it a little differently, where I poured and also brushed it around because I wanted some texture. If you do it this way at work in small areas as the topcoat gets pretty tacky quickly.
Overall it created a great shine on my piece. I’ll definitely try it again on a smaller work following the full directions.
I didn’t really like this product. The first time I used it, I followed the directions and ended up with thick runs and drips on the canvas. The second time I used it, I decided to use a brush and brush it out evenly across the canvas.
This didn’t work either as the product didn’t seem to like being worked and ended up drying with thousands of microbubbles in the finish. Overall, I wasn’t impressed or happy with it and ended up buying a different brand of varnish for my paintings that works much better.
I bought this to give my pour paint a high gloss. Felt it would be cheaper then epoxy. I felt it worked ok. I poured on my dry paint seen it has a white color which does dry clear. Felt it is thick and not easy to move as a ready to pour paint should.
Gloss not as good as epoxy. Im sticking with epoxy for my paintings.

This ready-to-use pouring paint is a must-have in your art supply kit. This ready-to-use pouring paint is a must-have in your art supply kit. You can pour it directly onto a canvas or other hard substances, without the need of diluting it with other mediums.
It has a low viscosity and will lend a glossy finish to your completed artwork.
Although I am not new to painting, I am new to acrylic pouring. Initially I mixed my own white base paint with good results. Then, unfortunately, I saw the pre-mixed AL pouring paint and bought black and titanium white to use for my base.
My black base paintings all failed and suddenly my white base was giving me an issue as well. All colors were lost with the black base and the painting dried horribly, and most color was lost with the white base.
I wasted a great deal of paint trying to find the cause, thinking I was doing something wrong, until I suddenly realized the only difference was the use of the pre-mixed AL paint. As soon as I went back to mixing my own all problems were gone.
AL acrylic paint is fine, but the pre-mixed pouring paint is terrible as a base. I immediately threw out the remainder of what I had.
I love the Artist Loft premixed pouring paints! It is smooth and flows great, the colors are bright, and it dries with a nice glossy sheen! It’s great! The only down side is that it doesn’t work well with most other kinds of paint.
It did work with some Color Shift I mixed up myself but nothing already premixed. I don’t even care though because it otherwise pours so nicely and dries beautifully, that I will just do all Artist Loft pours.
Great pre-mixed paint for adults and kids. Prior to finding this paint, we were mixing our own paint and my little kids would totally be over the project by the time we finished mixing our colors. This pre-mixed paint allows us to start our projects right away.
The paint colors are super vibrant, smooth, work well for pouring projects and dry beautifully. So glad we found this product.
Product Description Fluid Acrylics provide a highly intense, permanent acrylic with a consistency like ink. They are produced from lightfast pigments, not dyes. No fillers or extenders are used, and the loading is comparable to the high levels seen in the other products.
Unlike mixtures of full-bodied paints and water, which produce weak paint films by diluting the binder and the colour, Fluid Acrylics contain pigments suspended in 100% acrylic polymer vehicle. In layman’s terms, does not water down their heavy body paints to make this line.
They simply use a thinner, more fluid acrylic liquid to begin with. The result is an even dispersion, which prevents the pigment from settling, and allows high tinting strength, durability, flexibility, and good adhesion.
Fluid acrylics can be mixed with other acrylics for tinting or to thin them without diluting the colour strength.
Golden Interference colors are great for working over dark backgrounds or dark colors to add shimmery highlights. Different look than metallic paints because they are sheer unless you layer them thickly.
They can add super subtle glazes over lighter colors as well.
GOLDEN fluid acrylics are wonderful for use on gel plates, which is really the only medium I use acrylic paint for. This color is probably also one of the best colors to have because it really seems to go well with everything.
It is really beautiful. There are many other beautiful colors to choose from as well.
High Flow is acrylic paint that can go from brush to marker or from dip pen to airbrush and more. From fine lines to broad strokes, High Flow Acrylic has an ink-like consistency that lends itself to a wide range of techniques, including pouring, airbrushing, calligraphy, and other mixed media.
They are high intensity, flowing colours made with opaque and transparent pigments. They are formulated virtually clog-free utilizing 100% acrylic polymer emulsion and lightfast pigments.
These high flow acrylics are the business!!! They have a great shelf life and work well in pretty much all airbrush machines! Since using this product I haven’t had a need to stray anywhere else. Oh and availability!!! They’re sold at all of the major arts and craft stores! That includes Amazon! Not like the others that you have to play a Squid game to find.
Last not but least Golden High Fluid Acrylics have an array of vibrant colors available. Definitely check out this brand. You won’t regret it. Signed a seasoned/professional artist.
Golden High Acrylics have added a new dimension to my paintings. I use them in combination with both Golden Fluid and Golden tube acrylics. Golden High Flow acrylics are dense and great for high coverage.
I use them with a dip pen for fine detail and also with various brushes. I recommend these Golden high flow paints as they are a great addition, with multiple applications, to the other Golden medias.
This ‘color’ has so much gloss to it when dry that using a graphite pencil to do the shading would likely give better or equal results. It’s about twice as glossy as other gloss finish paints I have and practically a mirror next to the matte finish paints.
If you’re looking for a chrome effect, get this shading grey! Otherwise, I hope this saves someone else some money as these golden products are very expensive as is.
Create colorful works of art with these acrylic paints on most any surface. Rich and durable colors dry to a permanent, water-resistant and flexible semi-gloss finish for exceptional results. Its versatile design adheres to virtually any surface, including paper, fabric, wood, plastic, glass, cardboard, metal, canvas and more.
Easy-to-clean paint washes away with just soap and water. Nontoxic, gluten-free formula is water-based for safe use by young learners.
Opacity – Acrylic gouache pushes opacity to its limits. Each color is individually developed to create the optimum opacity possible for its pigment Type, through a very careful balance of pigment, the amounts used, and particle Size distribution.
Flat & matte – our gouache gives you solid matte color without reflections or brush strokes. Because it doesn’t reflect the light, It’s perfect for scanning and mixing with digital effects – making it ideal for illustration and design work.
Water-resistant – get a new level of permanence and water-resistance not normally seen in a gouache. Because it’s Acrylic, our gouache dries quickly and doesn’t move once dry. You can overpaint without Bleeding and achieve velvety surface effects.
Fluidity without water – traditional gouaches need water to ease their way. Our acrylic gouache gives you a creamy, fluid texture with superb brush out, straight from the bottle. Application feels effortless and flowing, with no drag.
The perfect bottle – easy-open and close lid, a pre-cut nozzle for immediate use, screw-off top and wide neck for easier access, and no shoulders or corners for paint to get trapped in.
Gouache is a wonderful compromise between watercolor and acrylic paint. I use it when I have lost some of the color impact in a watercolor painting, and I need something that performs with a light touch, but with greater opaque finish than watercolor; usually it’s a spot that is too gray or muddy, or a spot that needs a touch of white that’s been lost.
The liquitex gouache goes on smoothly and doesn’t dry as fast as acrylic paint which feels sticky and plastic and heavy in comparison. You can layer the color between applications to build intensity.
Gouache is great in the field and can produce a painting so professional most people will assume it’s oil or acrylic. The 2 oz bottle will last if you keep the cap on–much better than tube paint. This paint is comfortable to use, without the fear and uncertainty of watercolor, and lighter and smoother than acrylic.
Once you try it you will keep your gouache paints on hand because they are easy to work with, and perform well for so many purposes.
I bought these to use as matte acrylics for sketchbook studies without the pages sticking together when dry I tried Holbein acryla gouache, deco art ‘traditions’ line, liquitex acrylic gouache &Golden Heavy body matte My fav is Golden for the simple reason that their colors are the pigments you would expect &most are single pigment.
However, theyre ever so slightly less matte than other brands which means the pages may still stick a little. Theyre also heavy body while the other brands are soft body which means they will bulk up my sketchbooks faster Deco Arts traditions I was excited about cos they are finally offering pigment info on packaging in this line, using artists grade, mostly single, pigment colors.
Theyre soft body acrylics similar to acrylic gouaches. However. theyre craft grade. so have fillers & dont give much pigment to binder ratio which means most colors in this line are weak with poor covering power The liquitex & Holbein acrylic gouaches are tied for second place.
I love that theyre THE MOST matte & have good pigment load in a soft body paint. My BIG complaint about them however is that both lines have funky pigment stuff going on & its harder to get a predictable mix Some colors are as expected: the burnt umber is single pigment for example.
But it gets weird with liquitex burnt sienna being a two pigment color & seeming ‘off’. Or holbein’s ultramarine blue is the single pigment PB 29. but in masstone its a mid value whereas you would expect ultramarine blue to be very dark Holbeins tube packaging makes them preferable for plein air.
Liquitex has a better feel when dried-stronger,less soft. Holbein warns not to mix theirs with other acrylics but im gonna try it. if completely matte finish &soft body are important to you I would suggest cobbling a set together from liquitex/holbein cherry picking their single pig colors If predictability across the line & in mixing is a priority or you prefer heavy body, go with the Golden.
I was so excited to try this product. I absolutely love gouache, but I didn’t know what to expect from this combo product. The colors are bright when you apply but dry flat and not nearly as brilliant as I would have expected from my previous experience with just a separate Gouache product.
The consistency is beautiful and it applies nicely so there is that, I just guess I had no idea what to really expect. It didn’t look any different than if I had painted with a heavy body acrylic.
Product DescriptionDECOART-Patio Paint Metallics. Brighten and energize a whole project or add super-charged highlights to a large one. This all-purpose acrylic paint is perfect for home crafts with surfaces such as concrete, terra cotta, wood, masonry, stucco, stone, unglazed ceramics, cast aluminum, and Styrofoam.
DecoArt patio paints feature fewer additives, excellent adhesion to a variety of surfaces, better coverage than most brands, smooth blending, non-toxic, acid free, soap and water clean-up and environmentally friendly.
This package contains one 2oz/59ml bottle. Conforms to ASTM D4236. Made in USA.
I am so glad I added this brand of paint to my stash of paints. It is a good quality paint that does well when used on articles that are outside. I put an exterior seal coating over it and I don’t have to worry about the weather.
It usually covers in one coat which makes the project’s completion faster than letting paint dry and having to apply another coat. And, the best part is the number of colors that are available. I can usually find just the right color that I am looking for.
I would highly recommend this brand of craft paint.
The color is super vibrant which is nice but I had to do do multiple multiple coats to get it to not be transparent. I used it on wood that is meant to be outside and it definitely does cover up any blemishes on the wood, but it just takes a while to get there.
It dries really fast though which helps speed up the process of applying so many coats. I gave it 4 stars because this specific finished color is nice, and I didn’t really mind the coats, but it did take extra time.
Other patio paint colors by DecoArt are great and 5 stars.
Needed a small amount of touch up paint for a piece of furniture I have on my outdoor patio. Michaels had the product I needed. I only needed a small amount so the size Michaels had was perfect and a large range of colors to choose from.
I needed a apple green. Was very easy to apply and matched great. Dried quickly and reasonably priced. I am a happy customer.
Product Description This specially formulated paint is pre-mixed with the right amount of pouring medium for optimal flow and amazing results. This package contains four 4 fl oz bottles of pre-mixed paint.
Bought this for Father’s Day for a family activity for all to participate in it turned out blah with the nine pours we did on 8x8s. We had had a lot more success previously mixing our own paints. The pink was the light color out of the bunch and it just got lost with the other colors and the silicone oil didn’t create cells well in the paint.
An Amateur opinion was that the paint was a little too thick.
This paint is thick but easily pourable. It is very smooth with no pieces of chunky stuff in it like other paints I have tried. This covers beautifully and made a gorgeous project. I was very pleased with the quality of this paint.
I started pour painting during the lock down and have been hooked ever since. I love watching the color develoe on the canvas and these paints flow very well and the colors are so beautiful. I would definitely recommend this line of paints especially for beginners.
There are a variety of brands that make acrylic paint, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some brands are better for pouring, while others are better for painting. Some brands have better colors, while others have better opacity.
Ultimately, it is up to the artist to decide which brand is best for their needs.
