Low tire light came on. Went to the gas station and their equipment wasn’t working. I live 15 miles to the next town. Went home and ordered this little Kensun. Came in 2 days with a nice little carry case and Easy instructions.

I wanted the kind that I could use on the side of the road, if need be, and at home in the garage. It also comes with other attachments so you can use it to blow up air mattresses, basket balls and pool toys.

The digital reader is nice too. Shows you the pressure as it rises. It’s a little loud but that’s too be expected. And it’s slower than the machines at the gas station, but that’s normal because it’s not as big and powerful as those machines.

STILL – it only took me about 2 minutes to inflate ea tire. I’m a 70 yr old woman and this was a snap. Living a little ways out from things – this is a nice gadget to have. Not a bad price for the security it brings.

Next I’ll get a small pressure gauge :).

A long time ago, I bought a much smaller less efficient pump. It worked, but it took a long, long time to simply bring a single automobile tire up to desired pressure. When I first plugged this in and turned it on, I saw movement on the gauge within seconds.

I suspect that I aired up all four tires (plus five to eight psi each) in less time than my old pump would have taken for a single tire. It doesn’t have any fancy digital stuff for setting the pressure and then walking away and forgetting, but it doesn’t need it.

It works well enough that it’s more of an attach/fill/done job. Single pressure gauge. One button for A/C. One button for D/C. One plug for A/C outlet. One plug for D/C outlet. No possible way to be quicker or easier to use.

I’m a real happy boy about having bought the Kensun.

here are my disappointments:Very hard to discover where to screw-in the air hose – unless you think to pull the tightly-bundled A/C power cord out of the small compartment it comes wound up inside of, and explore within its dark recesses.

Neither the unit’s molded plastic housing, the ‘instructions’ that come with it, or the pictures on the box tell you where the air hose screws into!. you have to find it!In trying to find where to screw-in the air hose, i pried out the steel needle valve, using only two fingers – and it bent (see picture).

Was the steel too soft, or was the design just bad? or both?it wasn’t me, at 62 years old i’m not thaaat strong or hasty. It is very difficult to ever bundle the A/C power cord back into the little compartment, that it was in when it shipped.

So what’s the point?The ~8-inch long air hose does not clip or fit into the unit anywhere. so why did they make a compartment for the two different electrical cords, and the clips to hold the steel needle valve?It would have been WAY BETTER to sew one or two small pockets into the zippered carrying bag – for the power cords and the air hose.

I have put this inflator to use twice already and it has performed great. Only used it with ac power to fill eight car tires that were all 5-10 lbs low. The inflator took about 1-2 minutes to get them back to normal levels.

I am very pleased thus far!.

This product lasted until the third time of use, that is, when it was used the third time it did not work.

The overall design, weight, portability, etc. , is fine. Having used it just one time on 4-tires, it did the job very well. I like that you can pre-set the tire-pressure you want, and the compressor shuts off automatically at that pressure.

The pressure goes up in 0. 5 PSI units, so that helps, too. 1. The manual for the product could have a better explanation on how to use the compressor. But maybe that’s just me. I’m a stickler for a good explanation.

2. The DC power-cord (which you would use to connect the compressor to the car’s cigarette-lighter port) is physically attached to the compressor, and its housing in a gap under the compressor leaves a lot to be desired.

You have to create a tightly-compressed DC cord to put it back into its space, otherwise the compressor sits on the cord and does not sit squarely on the ground. But at the same time, you really don’t want to compress any electrical cord to that extent.

I worked around it by leaving the DC cord loose, outside of its space. This allowed the compressor to sit squarely on the ground, and the DC cord was not compressed at all. 3. The hose that you would use to connect the compressor to the car tire could have been a bit longer.

If the tire’s valve-stem happens to be on top, then the hose may or may not reach the valve-stem. In that case, just place the compressor on a small step-stool, and you can get past that restriction.

4. The AC power-cord may require the use of an extension cord, depending on the placement of your car and the wall-outlet available to you. Bottom line:Used the compressor once on 4 tires, and it worked very well.

I would recommend the product, if you can live with the above “small irritations”.

I’ve had problems with gas station air filling pumps not fitting on tire valves and deflating rather than inflating my tires. I also have to pay for air (usually $3 to check all four tires), there are often line ups for the air pumps and my temporary spare has to be removed from the trunk to reach the valve.

For all of these reasons plus developing a fear of exploding tires after listening to the Car Talk Guys episode on the fear of putting air into your car tires (thanks Click & Clack!), I have been very negligent about keeping my car tires properly inflated.

I have been researching AC compressors and electric tire inflators for months but they all seem to have problems. Years ago I tried a $25 electric inflator but that was useless for car tires. Small air compressors are expensive (>$100), take up space and they all have complaints of poor quality hoses and high failure rates within a couple of years.

So I decided to go with just an AC/DC tire inflator in the $75ish price range. This newer Kensun that has the digital display of the air pressure target setting and a gauge on the top seemed to be the least worst inflator, so I decided to try it.

I have tried this inflator out once on my car tires and found that it was easy to use, particularly as they include an accessory clip-on hose attachment so you do not have to screw the air hose on and off all the tires.

It was nice to have the option as my “fake” spare tire has the stem so tight to the rim that I could not use the clip-on attachment but the screw-on hose worked well. I also inflated a wheelbarrow tire that had a similar tight stem where the screw-on hose end worked better.

Nice to have the choice of screw-on or clip-on. My car tires were not bad (checked with a high end pressure gauge recommended by Click & Clack) and only required a little filling. I set the appropriate target PSI on the Kensun pump to the recommended 30 PSI for the back and then 33 PSI for the front tires.

The valve seal was tight and it took only about 2 minutes for the lowest tire to inflate, and I thought the noise level was not too bad (I did wear ear muffs most of the time). Although the automatic shut-off did work on the four tires, what I found when I checked the pressure with my tire-gauge, is that the reading on my gauge was consistently 32 for the back tires that I had set for 30 PSI, and the front tires read out at 34 or 35 PSI after setting the pump at 33 PSI.

I suppose that my tire gauge could be off (it has been accurate to gas station pumps), but others have reported that these tire inflators do not have accurate gauges. At least the auto shut-off worked and in the future I will try setting the PSI for 29 and 32 to compensate for this slight over-inflation.

I found a similar situation for the wheelbarrow tire at 40 PSI where the read-out on my gauge was was 42 PSI versus 40 PSI on the Kensun digital gauge. The auto shut-off was a different story for the fake spare tire which needed 60 PSI and it’s original reading was 35 PSI.

It took about 3-4 minutes to fill but at 64 PSI on the Kensen digital gauge, the pump was still going and it did not appear that the automatic shut-off was working. I stopped the pump manually (visions of exploding tires in my head) and my gauge also registered 64 PSI on this tire.

Overall, I think you need to verify the PSI independently, and I would not fully trust the auto shut-off particularly at higher pressure levels. I don’t know, maybe I got a partial lemon for the gauge.

The inflator did what I wanted it to do and now owning my own inflator I am more likely to maintain car tire pressures properly. The ability to easily inflate other items (I’ll try bicycle tires next) is also an advantage.

The inflator is not heavy and it comes with it’s own zippered carry case which will not take up too much room in the car for emergency use. But as others have pointed out, you cannot “get the genie back into the bottle”.

Both of the AC and DC cords are neatly folded into a slot in the bottom of the unit, but good luck getting these back into the slot. As others have said just put the detachable AC cord in the case rather than trying to get it back into the bottom slot.

I did not use the DC cord so it is still neatly folded in the bottom. That the AC cord is detachable could be a problem as it could get lost. I am going to wrap this black cord with colored tape to make it stand out in the blackness of the black carry bag.

As others have pointed out the AC cord is short so you will need an extension cord if you are filling your car tires. The built-in light would be useful for emergency use but I expect to mostly use this pump in and around my garage.

Except for the possible slight inaccuracy of the gauge and failure of the auto shut-off to work at 60 PSI, I am happy with this purchase.

I purchased my Kensun KC-J air compressor just over two years ago, on August 27, 2019, and I’m not happy. Long-term problem: It consistently over-inflates the tires by about 5 pounds beyond the target psi before it shuts off automatically.

I had to buy a stand-alone air-pressure gauge with a bleeder valve to accurately and efficiently get the air pressure down to the correct psi after using the compressor. I can understand some over-inflation to compensate for the air lost when unscrewing the hose connector from the tire valve.

But this was annoying, and the instruction manual says nothing about it. Short-term problem, but a deal killer. Last weekend, a couple weeks beyond the two-year product warranty window, the AC socket on the back of the unit came loose.

The internal fastener broke while I was inserting the female end of the power cord, and now the socket sinks into the unit whenever I try to push the power cord into it. You cannot make a solid connection between the plug and socket anymore.

I suppose I can still use the built-in DC power cord that’s made to plug into a car power outlet, but I’ll have to buy an AC-to-DC adapter to use it. I’ve been using the product to inflate my motorcycle tires, and the motorcycle doesn’t have a DC power outlet.

I rely on the AC wall outlets in the garage. I’ve taken good care of the product and used it only a few dozen times, at most. This sucks.

The SmartPro 2. 0 tire inflator (AC/DC) received did not function properly. I called JACO customer service (contact-Steven) and received excellent support. He immediately e-mailed me a return postage label (postage covered) to return the first inflator and sent out a replacement unit which I received in less than a week.

The replacement works fine and I am very happy with it. I would not hesitate to purchase these products again! My experience with the company shows me they back their products with NO hassles. Thank You! I also purchased the JACO ElitePro Tire Pressure Gauge as part of the order and found both products displayed the same pressure readings which gives me confidence in their quality.

I like the product and used it for several vehicles and 3 bikes. The product is easy to use and does a great job for inflating to the exact amount of air needed for a particular tire. If you’re using for high pressure bike tires however, say for example, 95 PSI, it’s a problem because the product only goes up to 90 PSI.

Beyond that, you really want to add a self-locking nozzle for bike use, since you let out too much air when unscrewing the nozzle with high pressure tires. So, if you’re buying the SmartPro 2. 0 for bikes, do your homework.

If using on cars, this shouldn’t be a problem.

I simply love my new Emax Compressor! With so much hype given to new products. And fake news everywhere, it’s often difficult to find the TRUTH. Folks this compressor is everything I expected and more.

True my old Sears compressor was a bit old. But it has been loud forever and could never keep up with much of what I was doing in my home garage without me needing to put in ear plugs or push the thing outside.

And it was a larger unit with a 30 gal tank. Running it at night was out of the question. Not with this baby! I was working in my garage until the wee hours of the morning. I was playing a little soft music and I needed to blow dry a few things.

To my surprise I was still able to hear my music with the compressor running. What a blessing since I want to paint my car at night. And this compressor has the ability to provide more than enough air and is more than quite enough to do so.

Although I did not time it, the fill up is quick. And it held the store air for two days without lost. At which point it was time to put that baby to work. I actually enjoyed using a compressor in my home shop.

Imagine that.

After a lot of research, this was the smallest, most portable compressor I found that could run common air tools (impact wrench, etc). Many small units (e. g. pancake style) are only rated for nail guns.

This EMAX puts out almost 6 scfm at 90 psi, which is more than anything else in its size and price range. I got the 10 versus 20 gallon as I often use it just to inflate tires, so it builds up enough pressure in well under a minute, and is quicker to drain afterwards.

The unit is well packaged and came in perfect condition, was quick to set up, and so far works well. While it is fairly quiet, I wouldn’t call it “silent” as they advertise. Certainly a lot quieter than the big commercial units, but I don’t think you’d want to use it inside your house too often.

This is my second unit that I purchased. The first one for myself the second for the office. They are quiet though not the advertised 41 db. The sound was measuring 68db which puts it on par with other quiet compressor ratings.

There are issues with packaging and handling as the second one came in with the top styro broken and the wheels rattled around breaking the fan shroud and the cylinder head guards. The box looked fine so better check contents.

I thought Air Compressor Direct would handle the claim quickly and send the parts for me to replace but that’s not proving to be the case. Very disappointed in service. If I had gotten parts right away it would be no big deal of me doing the work but having to wait for parts and having to do the repair with no compensation? Not happy! I did check that the compressor worked but the copper tubing to the switch leaked.

I had to take it off and reinstall the tube deeper into the fitting to stop the leak. So over all the compressor is decent. Don’t believe the 41db rating and be prepared for shipping damage and a long wait for parts.

This is what I call a consumer pump. its a low cost light duty pump for doing light duty now and then work and for THAT function in mind its quite nice. I love the orange color and the inclusion of a case and I love the triple power.

I plan to see about hacking this to accept my dewalt batteries. I love the set it and forget it for tire inflation. its not a power horse its not super fast but for most jobs its good enough. set the pressure turn it on and you don’t have to sit their like a hawk.

it will turn off when its hits the desired pressure. very handy. I love the tri power. 12v on one end 120v on the other or battery powered. Manufacturer? want to make this a killer product? put some BMS onboard and a removable “sled” design for the battery and then sell different sleds for different batt techs.

dewalt sled for dewalt makita mulwaukee etc. would be a huge value add if it can use the ecosystem of batts I already have. can also do balls little boats mattresses etc. and tiny but usable LED lights as a little bonus and USB power as yet another bonus feature.

none of them are fantastic but all are functional and useful. for that thing your going to stuff away in the boot of the car or truck to use 3 or 4 times a year its very handy and useful. just don’t expect pro level function from a consumer level product and you should be quite happy.

I requested this because I liked the versatility of it, and the one I already have is pretty anemic and loud. I had a few questions that I needed addressed, so I contacted customer support. Donna from customer service responded within the hour.

She was very pleasant and assisted me with everything I needed. Hassle-free and very smooth. A+. The air compressor itself is pretty awesome. It can be powered via normal 110v electrical socket, 12v cigarette charger, and the included 20v rechargeable battery.

I found it very versatile and easy to use. I’ve used it to top off the air in my tire a few times, which has a small leak that requires it to be topped off every few days. This one is quieter than my other air compressor while being more powerful.

I’ve used the battery to do it as well, and it’s pretty impressive! Even battery powered it filled it faster than my other air compressor by a few minutes. I like the fact that you don’t need the battery connected to the air compressor for it to work.

With or without it inserted, it works on either the 110v, or the 12v. I found that the automatic cut out function is a really neat and convenient function. The added led light is also nice to have, since I have to refill my tire at night sometimes, and this time of year it gets dark super early.

The backlit led readout is large and easy to read. The power cable is long and easily reaches my car from the garage socket. So is the 12v power cord. It’s long enough that the compressor can comfortably rest on the ground with the cord going through my car window.

Both cords have its own place to be neatly stowed away. The high volume/low pressure tube is also a great addition. I’ve used it to pump up my air mattress, and my goodness. I’m never manually doing it again as long as I have this around.

Build quality is great. It feels sturdy. It’s weighty, but not heavy. It feels quality and designed well. It also comes with a carry bag to store the unit, the battery and charger in. Overall, I’m really glad I requested this item as it makes things a lot easier when it comes to filling things with air around the house.

I’ve yet to use it for my bike tires, as it’s kinda cold to go out riding right now, but I can already imagine how much easier it will be compared to my manual pump. No more sweating in the summer before the bike ride! I’m really glad I have this excellent air compressor.

Our old compressor had stopped working, so we were in the market for a new one. So very glad that we found this excellent air compressor. It performs very well. It is easy and very intuitive to use. The three power source options are plugging it into a wall socket, a car lighter socket or recharging the lithium battery.

Our favorite feature is that it can be used wirelessly, which makes it very portable. You can preset your desired tire pressure, push a button and walk away. The unit shuts off automatically once the preset pressure is reached.

This pump has two motors. One is for high pressure inflation, such as for tires. The other motor is for rapid inflation at low pressure, such as for rafts and air mattresses. This unit also has a deflator hose and option.

It has a built in flashlight, making it easier to use in dark situations. It stores very nicely in a zippered case with handles. Excellent product. No complaints at all. Highly recommended!.

I love this thing. It’s just what I was looking for. I wanted a quiet, small, and light compressor for my bench where I build and repair vintage tube amps mainly to blow off debris that gathers inside the chassis.

This is exactly what I was looking for. At first, I thought it was leaking air, although I couldn’t hear the hiss, but the compressor was cycling on as the air pressure was going down. I removed the blower tool on the hose, and it held air.

So, the problem wasn’t the compressor. Shipping was lighting speed as I live across the US and normally it takes 5 days to receive anything from the West Coast. But I had this in 2 days. It worked without a hitch right out of the box.

I will say this compressor is for small jobs, if you need more air or cfm, buy a bigger compressor. But the noise level of this thing is fantastic now if I only had a shop vac that was this quiet.

I bought this compressor about 5 years ago to top off my 15” tires from 20 TO 35 PSI. I. only used this pump 2-3 times a year. The pump quit this weekend. Knowing that the pump was out of warranty, I contacted Viar to see if this was a common problem.

Bottom line, the cost of shipping along with parts & labor does not make it worth getting repaired. This pump was used very lightly and infrequently. It sat on a shelf in my garage for 99. 9% of its life.

This is supposed to be a quality product. It should have lasted much longer!.

The VIAIR 450P-RV arrived quickly from Summit, and was well packaged. I only gave 4 stars because I have only used it a couple of times to top off a passenger car tire. However, my first impression was very good.

The compressor appears to be well made, and the accessories are quality items. Pros: Quiet (compared to other portable compressors) Well made with no sharp edges or sloppy assembly Shuts off when air is not flowing Sturdy hoses and fittings Cons: Power cord could use a strain relief where it enters the motor housing.

High Price.

Works fine for lower starting pressures. Would not raise my E-rated tire from a starting pressure of 60. Motor would not start running- too much starting load I guess? Screw on hose is fumbly, but secure once it`s on.

Works,great I’ve only used it twice great pumps pickup truck tires up from 38 to 50 lbs. so I can pull my trailer in 5 min for each tire. I have a full size 2003 gmc sierra and although its not supposed to be for light trucks, it reaches the rear wheels ok.

The left wheel is a stretch but the right had plenty of slack. So that being said the power cord could be longer. For all you mcgyver types the power cord could easily be lengthened with a splice and some wire! Will probably void the warranty though.

I knew it was portable, so I knew that it won’t have the kind of horsepower as those commercial air compressors in gas stations, but it turned out to be really small. After all, you are going to carry it in your car or leave it in your garage or basement (which I am doing).

I could have gotten something bigger. It takes a while to inflate a tire from 26~27 to 32 psi. Multiply that by 4. But it serves its purpose. And given the price, I think it was a reasonable buy.

I’ve used this now to top of the tires on my truck and trailer. The compressor is impressive compared to the battery powered ones I have used in the past. It seems to be very well made and I suspect it will last a very long time.

The one disappointment was with the air chuck. It does not stop the air flow when removed from the valve stem like most air chucks do. So when you remove it to check the tire pressure, or go between tires, the compressor just continues to blow air out of the chuck.

I ended up having to switch it off between tires just to cut down on noise and power draw. I suspect that I will eventually end up replacing it with a different chuck that has a built-in gauge and that shuts off the air flow when removed from the valve stem.

This Ammunition box gets alot of heads turning at work co-worker’s are amazed at how compact and fast this compressor inflates truck tires on site 33’s 35’s no problem. I’m on construction sites where different trades drops countless nails & screws ex.

Some people drive around with slow leaks and if I see it & you allow me to help I do regularly I love this thing so convenient and easy to use. This thing here is the truth I currently own two M240’s one in my truck another in my daily totally worth it.

Rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it! Get you one you won’t regret it.

I was in need of a replacement tire inflator when I stumbled upon the M240. I was reluctant to spend this much money but the reviews on how quick this thing fills tires convinced me to try it. Since it’s in a 50cal ammo can, it’s much larger than the inflator it replaced.

It does however have extra space to store more tools. I added a flash light, cutters, and extra plugs to supplement the other items that come with it. I used it for the first time tonight to plug a tire on my daughters car.

As soon as I turned it on, I could hear the quality of the compressor. Sounded very smooth and didn’t rattle like my old one did. It filled the tire to 50psi in about a minute from 20psi. The only trouble I had was from the air chuck.

Because of the short valve stem, I had a lot of difficulty getting the chuck attached to the stem due to the angle of the chuck. Once attached I was unable to get a good seal and air leaked from the stem until I was done plugging the tire.

Once finished, I had a heck of a time getting the chuck unhooked from the valve stem. I thought that it may break but didn’t. I’ll most likely replace the chuck with one that has a 90’ elbow. Overall the unit is well built.

The long power cord and air hose are a bonus. You won’t have much trouble reaching whatever you need to connect it to. So if you’re like me and concerned about the cost, rest assured it is well built and hopefully lasts a long long time.

This AC/DC Dual Power Portable Air Compressor is versatile in its use, and accurate in its reading. It was able to inflate (increase) about 10 psi on my car’s tires in less than 30 seconds each, which is ideal in an emergency.

The Compressor includes an electrical power cord or car cigarette lighter adapter for use–each with its own designated on/off button, and a center LED display. The center top round button on the console is for the built-in light–another handy and useful thing to have in the event of an emergency.

Also included are two air nozzle cones, needle valve adapter, replacement fuse, and valve expander. The adapters are primarily used for inflatables such as bicycle tires, footballs, and other items that you would normally inflate manually.

However, there are no instructions on how to use these adapters, and none of them look big enough to inflate a rubber balloon, although I’m not saying it can’t be done (I didn’t try). When using the compressor for your car, the option choices are PSI, BAR, KPA, and KG/CMP.

I used the PSI function, which worked fine. All I had to do was set the desired PSI, push the corresponding button in, and the compressor shut off automatically once the desired pressure was achieved.

I did not see a function to deflate the tire in the event of over-inflation; however, that can typically be done manually without a problem. There are two motors or power supplies–one for AC and the other for DC; so, I would assume that if one motor goes out, the compressor unit would still be functional with the other power supply.

Sadly, the adapters do not have a storage container within the compressor unit, but instead are primarily loose in the box. I can see these getting lost rather easily without diligence and follow-up.

There is also a disclaimer not to use the compressor for more heavy-duty vehicles, such as large trucks or commercial vehicles. Per the manual, the maximum working pressure is 120 psi, and continuous operating time is 10 minutes.

Although the cords were long enough for me to fill the air in all four of my compact car’s tires, there wasn’t a lot of length in the cords left over. It would take a bit of maneuvering to reach the tires on a standard or full-size car, in my opinion.

The design of the unit is a bit bizarre, with the supplied cords left, right and rear, and buttons across the top–it almost resembles a gaming console or boombox with the top carry handle. It is relatively light to mid-weight, and the casing is made of plastic.

The manual includes a Troubleshooting Guide, and the Compressor has a One-Year Limited Warranty. For my purposes, the unit worked perfectly, quickly and without complication. It seems fairly multi-functional, and is offered at a reasonable price, considering its versatility.

I hope it lasts over time. The last air compressor I owned only worked once before failing. With this unit, so far so good. It did the job it was designed to do, and it did the job well. Recommended.

I wanted to get this product for a few reasons: my wife’s car always seems to be the one that has a low pressure indicator popping up on one of the tires. Whenever that occurs, I have to get a bicycle pump out and find the problem tire and pump it up.

This device makes that process so much easier!I simply dial in the PSI that is needed, hook it up to the valve stem and let it go to town. It does all the pumping for me and knows when to stop. It really couldn’t be simpler.

But there is also a bonus to this model: it features two different ways to power the device – either from the 12V DC connector (handy if you are on the road and need this unit), or hooking it up via the 110 household plug.

That is how I usually use it. Bonus number two: I golf and change my own grips on my clubs when they wear out. This unit has a number of different inflator attachments, one of which is excellent for pumping air into the new grip and making it easy to position on the club shaft.

Go to YouTube and search for it and you will see what I mean. My only knock against it is it is a bit on the expensive side compared to some other models out there. I would give it 4. 5 stars if that were allowed.

Otherwise I am very happy with this product and I am glad that I have it in my stable of tools.

I’ve had a few pumps where you set the pressure PSI you want and just start. The problem I had with some of those is the way the pump gets connected to the tire. They were all screw the hose to the tire which provides a great connection but when you want to remove it takes so long that sometimes your tire just loses too much air.

That’s where this one comes in and it makes life so much easier when you hit that desired pressure. The way you connect the hose to the tire is like a quick disconnect like you would see on a bicycle tire pump.

You lock it in or disconnect it with a simple lever and done. This AstroAI pump with its set the PSI you want feature makes pumping tires so much more pleasant. The power cable is not the longest but I usually use an extension cable anyway.

The ability to use this on long road trip is great too because you can use your 12V cig lighter. I’m not a big fan of the light since I doubt I will use it. But at least it’s there if you’re really like in the middle of the dark and you need to find that valve.

Overall, very happy with the quick disconnect and the “set it and forget it” feature.

I mounted the air compressor on my truck to use for topping off irrigation tires primarily, and also to use an impact wrench. The storage tank is a little small, which does make it a lot easier to mount, but really doesn’t hold enough air for my uses.

I mounted a couple more tanks under the bed of the truck. It works very well for my intended purpose now. I could have gotten by without the extra tanks, but it’s a lot nicer to use now. For a 12vdc compressor, it’s great.

You’re not going to mistake it for a ‘real’ shop air compressor, but it’s been working fine for my uses for a couple weeks now. Definitely would buy it over again. Edited in Dec. 2020: This compressor finally died.

I had it almost five years and while it didn’t get used all day every day, it worked very well to top off irrigation tires and run an impact wrench to change tires in the field. It got used on at least a weekly basis.

I already have another one ordered. For the money, I still think it exceeded my expectations.

I have a large Mitsubishi Fuso Expedition vehicle. I purchased one of these compressors 5 years ago. This thing has taken me from hell and back. It has continued to function perfectly after tens of thousands of miles of extremely hostile off road miles.

My truck has 37″ tires and the pump will inflate them from 20-50 psi super fast. In fact, I frequently drive with others who have purchased high dollar “off road” oriented compressors and I can fill all of my tires and two of theirs in the time theirs does only two tires! Couldn’t be happier.

I think it is going to be a good compressor. It pumps up pretty fast and it don’t seem get to hot or worm. the only thing the closer you can run it from the battery is better and you better have some heavy wire to run this bad boy because light wire will not work.

I could have bought another brand, but what caught my eye was that the motor was NOT made of plastic! It is unbelievable to me that some manufacturers would sell customers a plastic motor!This is the first pump I have owned with an automatic cut-off and dual power (AC or car 12V DC outlet).

This is a great convenience for a number of reasons. In the past, I would have to go and get my keys and then put the car in the “accessories” mode. Not as easy to do compared to the old-fashioned way where you simply turn the key toward you.

Then, when one side of the car was done, you would have to open the windows and pass the pump out the other side. This procedure is now obsolete. Yes, I need to use a short extension cord, unless I take pains to park near the AC outlet.

Using an extension cord is no trouble at all. Another great convenience is that in the past, I would have to over-fill the tire and let out a little air at a time while measuring with a separate pressure gauge until the correct pressure is reached.

With this new pump, you only have to go through this procedure one single time for just one tire. In my case, my tires require 32 lbs of air. I like to put in an extra pound as pressure will go down over time.

I found that if I set the new pump to 34. 5, it will pump the tire up to exactly 33 lbs. Now I can use just the new pump and do away with the separate gage. I am guaranteed to get my 33 lbs, no measuring required.

I’ve tried several different types of air compressors. Small 12V with no tank, 110V with 8 gallon tank, separate air tank etc. I primarily want an air compressor for airing up tires and minor blowgun work in the garage and at racetracks.

This compressor is perfect for me. It’s 12V so I can take it with me to the racetrack. Has a small tank so I can typically fill it once and rely on the tank to make minor tire pressure adjustments. If the worst happens, someone needs to borrow air etc, I’m not limited to what’s in the tank since it has a compressor too.

It’s still small and lightweight enough that I can take it with me without too much trouble (would be better if it had wheels). At home I can hook it up to a spare car battery and use it like a home unit.

Used the compressor to supply air to clean sweep row cleaners. Must have been too much for it. Lasted two weeks. Cylinder bore wore out. Will not build pressure.

Worked fine for 6 months. Stored then moved to new house and it filled with air, held steady pressure and fully released with both valves. But when I hooked up hose it refused to provide any air! Also got extremely hot and smell of electrical fire.

WAS under FACTORY WARRANTY but because I didn’t purchase the POWER PLUS warranty from T & Supply, I got a complete runaround when I tried to get it repaired or replaced!!!! The company’s lack of taking responsibility and standing behind their warranty is the reason for the review.

Will NEVER purchase from either Porter Cable or Tractor & Supply again.

It does what is supposed to do and does it’s well and quick. I’ve only used it a few times airing up tires, my truck takes 65 psi and this does it without hesitating. I only gave it 4 stars because it is rather loud.

My wife even commented on how loud it was when I was on the driveway and she was in the house. And not knowing it’s longevity yet I can’t give it 5 stars. I also must note that the first one I bought when I got it home and opened the box it looked like it had been used for years! It was covered with dust and the gauge covers were even cracked.

So TC should get dinged on that.

Decent for being on sale at the time of purchase. No hose or connections in the box so swapped the stuff from my broken compressor. Quieter than the old compressor it replaced. It’s not to heavy and move it around the garage often.

Could be filled and transported to fill a flat but doesn’t hold the air when off for more than a day.

This is a very well-designed and versatile portable inflator, which can be used with the onboard battery, or the AC and DC cords. In my testing I’ve only used it with the battery, which is the way I will probably use it most of the time.

I ordered this primarily to keep in my motorhome, and having a cordless inflator is really a big plus when airing up tires for motorhomes and trailers! Having the backup of AC and DC cords is just icing on the cake.

I did unpack the AC and DC cords, and they are each 9 ft long, and heavy duty. They’re a little tricky to tuck back into the storage compartments, but they do fit. The 9-ft DC cable should work with any standard vehicle to air up all the tires, but of course with a long motorhome you’re going to need a DC extension cord, if not using the battery.

I did check it with my full size pickup truck, and I would be able to air up all of the tires using the DC cord. This inflator also comes equipped with a hose and fittings to fill up large inflatables, and sports balls.

It has an LED light, and the battery pack has a USB A port, so you could use it as a power pack to charge devices. I’ve used it to inflate bicycle tires, motorcycle tires, compact vehicle tires, and my motorhome tires.

In every case, it worked well, and cut off almost exactly at the preset inflation. I did find with bicycle tires sometimes it went ~1 PSI over, and with my motorhome tires, at higher pressure, it seems to inflate just 1 PSI under the reading on the unit.

That’s actually not unexpected, and something I’ve found with most inflators I’ve used. The main thing is that it is consistent and does cut off. With a fully charged battery, I topped off all 6 tires on my motorhome, and it only took off one bar of charge off the battery.

So I have absolutely no complaints about this AstroAll portable inflator. It’s a very versatile item to keep in your vehicle, or at home. I also think the asking price is super reasonable, especially considering it comes with the 2Ah battery and charger.

I’m impressed with this AstroAI Tire Inflator Air Compressor. There has been a lot of thought go into this machine and it has plenty to offer from its compact size. There is a charger for the 20 volt battery.

The battery even has a USB outlet on it to charge other electronics. There is a 110 volt mains cable under the unit should that be desirable, as well as a 12 volt cable to plug in to the vehicle’s cigarette lighter outlet.

Both are very difficult to stuff back into the compartments that they came out of. Three power sources certainly offers some options. It has a small three chip LED work-light at one end. It can blow like a fan to inflate larger items such as a blow up bed or pool toy, and it comes with a wide range of nozzles to accommodate virtually anything and everything that you might need to inflate.

The tire inflator works well. You choose what pressure you want in your tire, use the buttons to put that into the digital readout, attach the inflator to the tire valve and hit the go button. When the tire gets to the desired pressure, the machine cuts off.

I would have to deflate a tire to see how long it takes to pump it up, but the ones that I topped up using this machine didn’t need for it to run for too long. Apparently it can run for up to 20 minutes at a time, which is a good thing if you’re stuck on the side of a busy highway.

This unit would have been better if it came with a case. With everything that’s associated with it or attached to it, it’s likely to get very messy bouncing around in the back of a vehicle. A hard shell case would make it much more secure.

However, when you look at what it can do for the $110 price point, you’re getting a lot for the investment. A decent case would probably add a few dollars to the price, but I think it would be worth it.

I’m going to fit it back in the box that it arrived in so that it stays in good shape. This is then going to be part of the kit that remains in my wife’s horse trailer along with some other things to make her life easier and safer in the event that she has tire issues on the road.

As for how durable this unit is, time will tell. If there is anything that is noteworthy, I’ll update this review. Value for money. Recommended!.

This portable air compressor is pretty great. So many different uses packed into one small package. Pretty cool that it can be powered 3 different ways (normal wall plug, 12v cigarette lighter, or the included rechargeable battery pack).

Also nice that the cords for plugging into wall or 12v are conveniently stored up under the body of the unit. You can inflate pretty much anything with this. So it’s a great option for people who are using inflatable kayaks, paddle boards or pool floats, and it does come with the attachment tips for those items.

But of course also a great alternative to a bigger heavier air compressor for the garage for keeping car and bike tires inflated. Tested this on a boat trailer tire that needed about 15lbs added. It’s a bit slower than a normal air compressor of course, but this is definitely faster than the smaller handheld options that are better suited for bikes and balls.

Overall impression of quality is in the mid/high range. Definitely doesn’t feel top of the line or anything. But seems decent and like something that could hold up to some minor abuse in the garage or trunk of a car.

It’s a little on the loud side when operating, but about as expected for something like this and not terrible. Only small gripe with it is that there really isn’t anywhere to store the extra tips for all the different applications, so it’s possible those could easily get lost if you don’t find a good spot for them.

This company offers several different models, and I choose this one specifically because it is more robust and designed for up to 150 PSI. Always purchase small items like this at 2x your requirements so you have margin in the design for long life and reliability.

I will never use it at the 150 PSI levekl, so I have no idea how efficient it might be at tire pressures above 60 PSI. thing is, 60 PSI is the most I need for my purposes, so there is plenty of margin in this unit by design.

That said, I bet it struggles in the last 50 PSI to get to 150. depending on the size of the item being inflated. I tested the unit right after delivery and everything works great. Build quality is great as well, and I will add that this unit is much quieter than the old unit I am replacing.

Clearly this unit is for the occasional topping up of a few tires, or the full inflation of either several bike tires or maybe one SUV tire, before it gets too warm to continue to use. So purchase to the scale of your inflation tasks, rather than just the paper specs.

The manufacturer indicates it will self stop once it reaches an specific internal temperature (which they expect comes with ~10 minutes of continual use). Lastly, people need to have realistic expectations on how fast a small unit like this will inflate a tire to spec pressure.

35 liters of air per minute is what it is spec’ed at, so plan accordingly. I would expect this unit would take about 5 minutes to fully inflate a larger tire like an SUV tire from 0 PSI as the starting point.

One thing to note: take a few moments to dress up the power cord away from where the soft foot pads are on the underside, because if you were to allow the cord to sit under one of the rubber feet, I imagine you will destroy the power cord.

I just used a wire tie-wrap to dress the cable to insure it never gets stomped on, easy modification for long life and durability.

Main use: Top off my tires for all 3 cars, and keep in the car of my trunk for emergencies. YMMV if you’re gonna use this for outlanding / off-road purposes where you air-out and fill air often on 33″ – 35″ tires.

However, my use purposes, this worked fine. I did test this out this past weekend with my 3 cars (1 SUV, 1 mid-size car and 1 compact hatch), and it worked fine. I topped off all 3 vehicles in a row with no issues.

Just to give you an idea of what the compressor went through, below are the conditions:- Temp: 45 degrees F- Air needed in each tire – SUV: 4lbs each tire, Mid-size: 2lbs each tire, Compact HB: 8 lbs each tireI didn’t do an exact timing but to get pump the 8 lbs in the HB took around 3 minutes each tire.

The pump didn’t get too hot probably given the lower temperature in my garage. It is not all that compact like the ones that come with one of those cheap roadside emergencies kits, but it fills much faster than those smaller, cheaper ones which take forever to fill up even a couple of lbs or pressure.

It is small enough to keep in the trunk of your car without sacrificing too much space. I just keep it in my trunk’s cargo box where I also keep my first aid kit, flat tire tools, umbrella, etc. Thus, good pump for my use purpose, but my results given the above conditions may be different from yours (i.

e. overheating in Arizona or Texas summer heat). We’ll see how long it lasts which is why I’m reserving 1 star for now.

My wife bought this for me for Christmas this year (2021). The unit took minimal assembly and it was very easy to do. It came with enough oil to get you started which is great. After the 30 minute break in, I let it cool off and then ran it to build pressure.

It does build pressure quickly and the output regulator is easy to use. It’s quieter than my old Central Pneumatic 8 gallon unit but these are still fairly loud. Checking with my db meter, it does run about 80db at about 5 feet away.

It’s certainly not bad running it in the home garage, even with the door closed.

I use a 3HP 60 gallon compressor daily however it just died! I went to HFT & bought a twon cylinder replacement pump for it but until I have time to install it, I needed some source of air. Normally I wouldn’t bother with this type of compressor.

motor & pump as one unit, but it was for temporary use & good enough to get me by for a day or two. My initial inspection was somewhat surprising. Everything was included! Even oil! After minor assembly, wheels, handle, oil.

I powered it up. It ran relatively quiet and filled the ten gallon tank pretty fast. It ran all my air tools with no problem. I didn’t plan on keeping it when I bought it. again, just a temporary solution.

But after using it, I really like it! This little compressor really earned my respect. It doesn’t take up much space so I’ll find a suitable spot in my shop for it. After using it, I realized that most of the time, I don’t need the capacity of the large one.

I’ll keep using this one until a big job comes along where I need more air.

I bought this for a garage compressor for airing up tires in the cars and motorhome. I love the oil lube setup as opposed to oil-less. Its very small and compact yet with 135psi it can even handle the big tires in a motorhome or tractor and trailer.

It looks really nice and well built but I bought the 2 year warranty just in case. It comes with a small bottle of oil and has a break in procedure to follow as well. I also love the easy to use drain valve in the bottom with a lever instead of a screw thats hard to use like on my old Kobalt unit.

So to be clear, I purchased this little compressor solely for shooting up trim. Within the last year I bought brand new air 16ga, 18ga, and pin nailers. For that reason alone, I could not justify dumping them because the newer battery nailers were out.

I prefer air, and so I decided if I wanted to be somewhat ‘cordless’ this was the compromise. The compressor works and functions just fine. It seems reliable, has worked as should, it is quiet enough, (For an air compressor) and it has met my needs.

I would have given this little guy a 5 star if it were not for the length of time it takes to initially fill up and refill. I will say that I have seldomly had to sit and ‘wait a second or so’ to have it fill up to set a nail, but it does kick on very often.

Look I get that the machine is only 2 gallon, however, I believe due to the length of time it takes to fill up, it is set to begin that stage earlier. In order to not lose the tank pressure to set an 18 ga brad nail.

Those 2 points would really be my only complaints to the non 5 star rating. Otherwise, I still use it on all my jobs, it is lightweight, and it has my nailers functioning as it should. I may put all dewalt products on a 5 star expectation always, and just think since most of my tools are almost 5 star quality, I was hoping this would be as well.

I bought this a few months back hesitantly since I already had a 8gal hotdog compressor that was fairly newer but all my finish guns are still pneumatic and it’s main use to was to help cordless those somewhat instead of replace working tools with cordless options.

Well fast forward to this winter and I had a few roofing/framing/siding projects come up and my hotdog compressor from a lesser brand decided to give up the fight 3/4 way through a siding project. This compressor not only bailed me out in a jam and finished the siding project, but also framing as well! Now with that said, this is only a 2.

5gal tank and IS NOT intended to run heavy demand tools like a roofing/framing nailer or it will cycle and probably wear the motor quite a bit faster. Story here is this is a quality very well made and thought-out tool.

I also liked that it is light weight enough to still be convenient, takes up next to no room in the truck, and doesn’t use hardly any battery to notice. I’ve used with a 6ah and 12ah flex battery and both batteries have lasted longer than me on any given work day.

Bought this as a remote compressor to run a small air pump. Used it for 1day. Would not build pressure. Being I was in a remote area and needed it then I took it apart to see if I could fix it. The unit uses a reed type seat to hold back the air it compresses and it was cracked in half.

I found a feeler gauge and modified it to get through a bind. When I got back I checked on parts. None were to be found yet. Poor designed reed system. Being I had to take it apart no warranty go figure.

I have about 25000. 00 in Dewalt tools and this is the only one I would never buy again. Very disappointed.

This air compressor is the real thing. I have heard that the Viair 88P is fantastic, but this one, the 89P RVS, is way better. The construction is top of the line, solid metal; the motor is strong and the filling process is super fast, and that’s the reason I went with the 89P, even though I don’t have a RV.

The only thing I didn’t like too much was having to twist the chuck when connecting the air hose to the tires. Nevertheless, I solve that problem by purchasing from Amazon an adapter that quickly and securely clips to the air valve without having to twist and twist; in addition it has a button for releasing any excess of air, which I think is fabulous.

Now I have the best of both worlds and I’m sooo happy….

Nice compact air pump. Fits perfectly in C6 Corvette storage bin. Pump seems to be of good quality, all metal construction and sturdy feeling. Pumped up a 255. 70. 16 tire from 10psi in about 3min. Pump seems to be quieter than other pumps of similar type, a little noisy but they all make a considerable amount of noise.

Only short coming is it gets hot while running but i think that is a common trate with all pumps like this. Just let it cool before putting it back in storage bag. Air guage reads about 5psi higher while running, just turn pump off and gauge will drop to near accurate reading.

At this point in ownership I recommend this pump and would buy again.
