To put this review in context, we already own three other Vizio TVs – a 75″ P-Series, a 75″ M-Series, and a 70″ E-Series (as well as multiple 3. 1 and 5. 1 soundbars and Crave Pro smart speakers). First impressions on opening the box are this is more of the same – a sleek modern design with the typically excellent fit and finish we have come to expect of Vizio products.

The bezel is extremely thin with a very attractive brushed finish, so no distractions from glare or reflections from lights. The feet are the same concept throughout all the various series, again a matt black finish to ensure they don’t detract from the viewing experience.

The main difference between the V-Series and the other more expensive models is the materials are plastic rather than metal, but that is to be expected at this price point. Visually however, it’s impossible to tell and is no less pleasing to look at.

The remote control is very similar to the ones we have for the other TVs but it has had an update and redesign with additional buttons and pleasingly, it now has a flat base so rests in a horizontal position, rather than dipping down at the front.

Oh, and before I forget, the bag the TV comes in with the grab handles is an ingenious idea. It makes it easy for one person to remove it from the box, without having to try and stretch your arms around each side.

The power, input and volume controls are all on the rear of the TV – which is how the bezel is able to be so thin – and gives it a very clean look. In 5 years though I don’t think we’ve ever touched the controls on any of the TVs – we use the remote, a phone/tablet (SmartCast Mobile), or Google Assistant to control them all.

Also on the rear are all the inputs and outputs you will ever need: a coaxial input for cable or satellite, composite analog input and audio output (it’s debatable whether anyone uses those these days), an optical output for a receiver or soundbar, an ethernet port (although it has wi-fi built in so likely won’t be used), a USB port for playing media from a thumb drive, and three HDMI ports, one of which is ARC enabled.

First power on goes through the standard set up – choosing the language, country, etc. then connect to the network using the built in wi-fi, and finally a software update check. A couple of updates were required which took around 10 minutes to complete and then the TV was ready to use.

Out of the box, the display is set to “Bright” mode. I always find this a little bit too vivid and artificial and as all of our TV watching is in the evening, it’s just too intense. Fortunately, Vizio TVs have built in pre-set modes and “Calibrated Dark” is the one all of our TVs are set to.

A quick word on the menu operation – it’s one of the easiest I’ve used: simple, straightforward, and intuitive. It just works. The picture quality across all of the various inputs is superb – sharp and clear, good colour rendition, and decent blacks, and as it’s 4K Ultra HD, incredibiy detailed.

Blu-ray is particularly impressive but even the various streaming services produce great depth with no smearing or streaking. The huge number of built in apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ AppleTV, etc.

makes finding and viewing content simple and avoids the need to cast from a device to the TV, although you can still do that if you wish. There’s also a dedicated set of free channels, as well as Crackle, Pluto TV, and others, so you don’t need to subscribe to multiple paid services to find something to watch.

The one thing this TV doesn’t have is a dedicated HDMI input for gaming, but at my age, any kind of input lag is the least of my problems when battling hordes of zombies! Sound is adequate considering the size of the speakers – you’re not going to get any room shaking bass but it is clear and there is an option to enhance the dialogue.

There is also the choice of surround sound mode or equalizer, allowing you to fine tune the overall sound. To really do the picture quality justice though, you need to upgrade to an external soundbar (or receiver and speakers), which is what we’ll be doing.

The USB port which allows you to play audio, videos, and still pictures is handy. perfect for slideshows on those family get togethers which everyone loves 😉 Yes, if you put this TV side by side with a P series then you can see where the extra expense is involved, but if you were to do a blind comparison with a similar sized M series then you would be hard pushed to tell the difference.

Overall, for the price, this TV is incredible value for money and performs way better than I expected. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another one.

I bought this about a year ago after moving in with my girlfriend. For me, I had previously had a 70 inch QLED from Samsung which is one of the best televisions I’ve ever seen. The Samsung was over $2k and you really feel that value with the picture quality and the overall interface/menus/responsiveness of the set.

Granted, I basically abandoned that set in my divorce and was middling around with an old 43” non-smart screen for about a year. So bringing this TV in this household was definitely a must especially at the $500 price point.

I don’t really use the smart-TV features that much, but this is a massive television screen and it really fits my household setup nicely. The picture quality is not the best when it comes to a 4K set but it gets the job done.

I highly recommend this television for anyone who has small children and cannot wall-mount their television set in a renting arrangement. I feel like if my kids were to break it, it wouldn’t feel like such a financial blow.

For my family, this is the future “den” TV that will serve a few years as our main television until the kids are older and more responsible.

So I had this tv fir like 1 year and a half. Over the time me using it I’ve experienced returning to homepage issues. I’ve experienced wifi issues. I’ve experienced issues switching over from Netflix to home page.

Some times when I turn on the tv the home page won’t turn on and says no network disconnected. BUT! It will let me move select netflix and hulu and amazon prime. The tv doesn’t get enough software updates so it’s severely behind on firmware.

From what I’ve seen you guys have made no attempt to fix the glitches in your tv. These experiences are so bad 90% of the time I have to power cycle the tv the other half I have ti jeep turning it on and off.

Tv has great picture and great images for gaming. The tv NEEDS more freedom to the person who bought it. What I mean by that is customization on the back ground, how your apps in rearranged, making a favorites for your apps in case there not on the controller.

The menu page 90% is undeeded and endless scrolling to the right and it doesn’t auto bring the tiles you goto the most closer to the front of the line to make it easier for the viewer to select what they want to watch.

These issues NEED TO BE FIXED out of all the other tvs I’ve seen this is the most unused friendly TV there is.

so disappointed with this tv. i was actually happy with it until suddenly a power cycling issue began. it now continuously turns itself on and off every 3 seconds. i have only had the product for 17 months.

after reading the community threads, it seems that this is a known issue with samsung tv’s which they refuse to correct. and because i didn’t buy an extended warranty, i now have a useless electronic brick hanging on the wall that will cost a few hundred dollars to fix.

almost every electronic device i own is from samsung including several phones, tablets, tv’s, buds, and watches. sadly, after this experience, i will probably never buy another samsung product. i thought i was buying quality but i was seriously mistaken.

I absolutely loved my TV. while it worked I would have given a 5 star rating. well it never really stopped working fully but there was no “being ok” with what it was doing. Hoping it was just a bad panel but nonetheless super bummed I had to return it.

Early March it developed a dark horizontal line about 2 inches from the top and everything below that you could see horizontal lines. While the picture looked ok, it was those straight edges and lettering that REALLY showed you that there was something wrong.

Unfortunately the troubleshooting and resets didn’t work. Mind you Samsung Pro was really great! Since TV was still under it’s first year, they set me up with a local repair shop. The gentleman advised my panel would need to be replaced but the part was in back order.

After a week it turned out that they would not be able to get the part after all so Samsung would be replacing my entire unit with a new one. After two weeks, it turned out that “they did not have the inventory for it therefore would have to refund me for it.

They had to ship me a box to put it in which took 3 more weeks to get and finally got picked up a few days after. Totally not upset over the time since i was still able to use the TV but the lines did get worse and worse.

Giving it 4 stars only because of the defective panel, otherwise the TV was great while it was working fully, the Samsung personnel was really great and professional and helpful. While the process did take long, we are in a pandemic so I can’t really be a stickler.

I have a smaller older Samsung TV that refuses to die, washer and dryer that work harder no matter how much we load them.

I purchased this TV from Amazon about a year ago. The main reasons I chose this particular model was because 1) it is a Roku tv so I would no longer need my Roku stick and 2) the price. Since this was going in my office and I have it on in the background most of the time, I wasn’t wanting to spend a while bunch of money on a high end tv.

When reviewing this TV, i think you really have to relate everything to the price of the TV. The picture is really good, but nowhere near as good as more expensive TVs. The sound is also good for daily watching, but I would recommend an audio system or soundbar of you will be using it to watch movies or live sports.

The integrated menu and setup of the TV is easy and intuitive. The only real thing that bugs me is the fact that the TV is just plain slow. The reaction of the TV from any command on the remote takes anywhere from 1-10 seconds.

Whether you are powering it on or off, changing volume or channels, or navigating the menu, you don’t know if the TV’s reaction will be immediate or literally take 10 seconds. It is incredibly frustrating.

You might think you raised the volume a few notches only to not see or hear a change, so you raise it more with no change again and then raise it more thinking the TV still never got your command, only to hear the volume increase 3x 10 seconds later.

This might sound petty, but when it happens every single time you use the remote, it gets very frustrating. Would I buy this TV again? No. I would pay up for a more renowned and experienced brand like Samsung or Sony that I know doesn’t have issues like this.

However, I can’t say this is a bad tv because, for the price, the good outweighs the bad and this was just a good deal for the $170 I paid for it on Amazon.

I love my TV! This TCL 50-in is an awesome television that I can stream all my channels everything onto it I don’t have to worry about cable wires or anything I love having a smart TV and it was a gift and I just I love it!! And now that we are in the covet era of having to stay home all the time our friends is our TV 😂 I definitely recommend it.

It was really easy to set up it was really easy to download everything and all the programs set it up with rock you everything was totally easy to do bam you’re online you’re on your TV and less than 5 minutes!.

Was nervous about buying this TV saw a lot of mixed reviews. But I went ahead and made the purchase just because of my pass experience with roku has been good. So I had the TV for a week now & picture quality is good the downside about color contrast is its not a lot of options to choose from but once you play around with color you will come up with a very nice tone also I noticed that the audio sounded clear with a nice balance of Bass.

The tv has two 16w speakers on the bottom & I notice on most of the reviews sound was horrible but you have to go into your settings and adjust them one in Roku settings and the other in whatever app you are watching by hitting the star button on the remote.

I saw some complaints about the remote but I have a Roku stick that has similar remote features but this TV remote just has the added volume rocker on the side which I am pleased with. If you are not familiar with Roku I suggest purchasing the Roku stick that may help you make a decision if you want this TV or not it’s almost on the similar same concept it’s just a Roku TV but with the TV the response time is quicker than the Roku stick.

Also the tv features are for satellite dishes, cable boxes and any other HDMI hookups you might have; it also has hundreds of apps to select from as well but for Roku lovers this TV would work well for your daily watching.

I am pleased with this TV. Just an added note Electronic Express delivered the TV packaged very well with the TV box inside a box wrapped in bubble wrap had no damage upon delivery. I do recommend this TV for those of you who enjoy Roku and its thousands of free apps for your enjoyment.

Love this tv. Use it at my lake all the time. Really like the bezel-less display. The colour accuracy is phenomenal for a tv in this price range. TCL has always had a special place in my heart. I’ve had a few products from them over the years, and they’ve always delivered! One thing that’s really great about this TV is the 120hz refresh rate! What that means is that there is ZERO motion blur when watching fast movie scenes or playing games!.

I love my TCL TV! It was reasonably priced for all of the features that you are able to use it for, including streaming from Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, YouTube, etc. (with a monthly membership to each platform you choose).

The picture is great, I love the 50″ size, and have had no problems with my TV since I purchased it 6 years ago! Not long after, I convinced my boyfriend to buy one- though slightly smaller- as well!.

I absolutely loved this tv when I first got it I thought it was the perfect size. After 1 year in it stopped functioning like it use to. It wouldn’t turn on it would have a black screen. It would take forever to turn on.

It was the worst.

I purchased this TV on a bit of a whim, due to the fact I found it as a marked down store return for almost half off the retail price, but I have to say that after living with it for awhile now, I would have happily paid full price for it.

I used to think that so-called “Smart” TV’s were a bit overrated and that you could get virtually the same functionality by just hooking up a ROKU, AppleTV, Android box or FireTV unit to your TV for not much extra cost, but after getting this TV and exploring the fairly robust array of choices available with it’s built-in smart apps, I am happy to be wrong about that.

There are more than enough app selections here to keep anyone busy viewing almost any content from any service they like, not to mention an array of completely free TV channels that are provided by LG and Xumo.

As for the picture quality, while I’m sure it’s probably not going to stun any videophiles, it is quite impressive and can hold it’s own and will be stunning enough for the average viewer that they won’t find anything of significance to complain about.

Almost all signals from any source are upconverted to 4K quality and improved, and genuine 4K content looks pretty spectacular thanks to the addition of HDR. I will say this TV’s weakest point seems to be the built-in speakers.

Sound is a little flat and lackluster when using only those for sound, but that is easily remedied by connecting a sound bar or other external sound system. All in all, when you consider all the features and the quality of the image overall, I’d rate this set quite highly and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new TV on a budget.

I was forced to buy a new TV. The last 2 developed problems before they reached ‘old’ status. First, our Westinghouse big screen smart tv went pitch black. We’ve only had it a little over 4 months. Much research on the issue, meant replacing the LED lights inside.

The 2nd, VISIO smart tv that was given to us that replaced a tv that was destroyed by one of our grandsons. That TV works fine only when wireless broadband is connected. Try connecting it to cable provider with or without its connections, then we get no picture what so ever.

Testing their equipment with other TV’s, works just fine. That said, the ports are blown out. Hmmm, is this what large screen smart tvs have come to? So far, our expensive LG large screen, smart TV is doing what its supposed to be doing.

But, it has been only a few weeks! Will it stand the test of time? Question has yet to be answered.

43″ LG Smart TV 85 yr. old female, live in Central Texas area My existing television was old and the picture was going out so I started reading the reviews for the different makes of televisions from various stores on the internet.

After about a week of studying, I finally settled on the 43″ LG Smart TV. Then, as I read the reviews, I discovered many of the reviewers said their LG televisions arrived with damage (mostly broken screens) from careless handling by FEDEX.

The customers whose television arrived without any damage couldn’t say enough about what a good television LG makes. Since I am disabled and it is very difficult to get to the stores where I could buy and not have to worry about delivery, I have to depend on the internet for most of my shopping.

Should I take a chance and purchase an excellent television that I really wanted, but may arrive damaged and have to be returned or refunded? I decided to take a chance and am so glad I did. The television was delivered on time by FEDEX and the box it was in didn’t have a scratch or dent on it.

I kept my fingers crossed as I began the unpacking. The packing was well done and all items were there. There was no cracked screen or any other imperfection I could see. It took me about an hour to get set up and understand what I was doing enough to watch my favorite channels.

The picture is outstanding and the sound is so good I don’t even need my sound bar. I hooked it up and it is compatible, but it sounds as good with the built-in speakers as it does with the sound bar.

I am very pleased with everything so far. Since I have only used the tv for a few days and still have lots to learn about it, only time will tell if it continues to be this good. NOTE: I purposely put my general location so anyone reading this would know FEDEX in my area did a fine job.

This would have been a five star review if I had written it in the first eight months of ownership. It worked perfectly during that time. But just recently there was a change. I think maybe there was a firmware upgrade (I have automatic updates enabled) because all of a sudden, I started having issues when I would change inputs.

The TV locks up, and the only way I can recover is to unplug it and then plug it back in. That always works, thankfully, but it’s still an annoyance. And a cause for concern, because what if that stops working? I will say that it seems to be better than it was a few weeks ago.

Maybe they have issued some bug fixes. I am not having to reboot multiple times a day like I was. More like a couple times a week. So I have hope that out will return to flawless function soon. If that happens, then this would be a five star review.

Everything else about the TV is great, just what I’ve come to expect from the Vizio brand.

I purchased this model to replace my 55″ LG that is about 10 years old. My first impression of the television was pretty good. It checks most of the boxes but could be improved on. The good. First thing that jumped at me was color quality when compared to my LG.

Move vibrant colors and crisper picture which would be expected against an older model. I really like the remote which isn’t over complicated or cumbersome to use. Plenty of hookups for various devices is a plus.

The Smartcast menu is reasonably clean and has the simple layout that makes it easy to use. Many reviews said this wasn’t necessarily a good dark room television but I would disagree with that assessment.

I’m sure that there are better ones out there but I have no complaints about this television. By the way it does much better with light glare than my previous television. The not so good. My main complaints about this television is that it isn’t 120hz native refresh which is a downer.

Another odd quark is that my custom picture settings never stay active I have to redo them every time I restart the television or switch between inputs. The responsiveness on the Smartcast menu is periodically buggy.

I have noted a couple of instances of graphical glitches which were resolved by restarting the television as opposed to turning off then back on. Sound isn’t great but a lot of people use sound bars to compensate for this.

The bottom line. If your primary use will be to watch television and movies I would say you will be really pleased with this television. If you want you can totally use this television for a pc monitor especially on basic day to day things.

The area where I feel like this television might suffer is gaming. I am a hobbiest gamer and this is great for that but if you are a hard-core, professional, semi-professional or content creator this might be disappointing for your needs.

The refresh rates are markedly better than my LG but at the end of the day 60hz vs 120hz just doesn’t leave a lot of room for comparison.

Overall wasn’t impressed with real world application. I know store demos are boosted pre furnished content, but even with that what I got was a hazy digital mess in which the processor is either governed on this 50in model or not able to keep up with it’s own active processing.

So leaning the latter, it comes down to future updates to firmware to allow some features advertised and within menu{i. e. image enhancement features} to work without stutter and work without changing the setting every time you watch something different from a different app or source.

My noticeable quirks -applying noise filters work when actively in menu but when you leave, the image changes back to grainy mess. Depending on content, but this was through Amazon app that I first noticed that it wasn’t actually staying on consistently.

– active array is a mess and on the 50in is Almost pointless. 16 big blocky panels behind screen with possibly screen burning features. I’ve noticed a more glow or lighter color irregularities in lower left 4 panels area within the pixel panel above it though like the picture now displays a more washed out color comparative to rest of area.

So a mix of screen burning\ghosting/dirty screen effect. But only in lower left and*after* using for 16 days Which by the way I was mostly impressed with the uniformity of the panel up until this showed up.

I did grey test before finalizing purchase with same model different tv and on both they were almost the same unified DSE(dirty screen effect) like you can’t notice it if the whole thing is DSE, right!? Haha.

But it gave uniformity non the less. -color uniformity is weird, people faces look black and white sometimes and other times they look sick with green\grey blotchy spots -VRR on a test ps5 to me seems a bit off.

It’s quick in a way but when it’s doing it’s thing and it hiccups, you won’t see it but you feel it. Sounds weird I know, but it isn’t keeping up sometime and seems to just stop and it does get blocky and it does get screen tear still.

Which makes me all believe this could be simply firmware fixed/governed on this model as to the specs(what’s given) for the 50in model is less than the 55. And definitely not 800nits like they say “up to”.

It’s as in depending what model you get I think. If it is up to 800nits then it’s not in hdr, idk if that’s used outside of hdr though. So if you want the best of any the features given you gotta pay for bigger size, which defeats the purpose of some installments.

They may all have the same processor but they definitely don’t all run the same. In the end I’m hopefull that firmware updates will smooth out these visual discrepancies that defeat 4k hdr dolby vision quantum color altogether.

Use this tv striped of all is features, or turned off and it looks alright. So a stand-alone UHD tv with internet apps. Don’t expect hdr or gaming greatness. As of now. 2/3/21 Also sorry if this isn’t clear enough.

One of the reasons I chose to replace our existing (13 year old) Plasma screen tv is because of its high energy consumption. This new television uses approximately a quarter of the energy of the old television and in view of the current rising energy prices this was quite an important factor for me.

I also was looking for a television which has in built Freesat which operates directly off our satellite dish. The new Sony television not only has this but also has digital tv which we can also run using the standard type of external aerial.

It is straightforward to be able to switch between the two operating systems. Being a smart TV, there are numerous in built apps, which provide further viewing opportunities and avoids having to have additional devices such as a ‘fire stick’ which we had to use on the previous television in order to receive these additional programmes/channels.

Setting up the new TV was reasonably straight forward, although we did initially have a slight issue in that we could not download apps such as BBC i-player and ITV hub. After some on-line searching, we found that we need to run a software update on the television and then do a ‘Restart’ after which we could then add these and our now easily available.

The instructions supplied mainly cover the fitting of the stand and connecting the tv up. Further instructions are available using the on-screen help, although my personal choice would be to have a proper printed instruction manual as I find this easy to use/follow, but understand this probably helps to keep costs down and also save a bit on the environment.

I am very pleased with the excellent picture quality and would rate sound quality as good. I am going to add a sound bar in the not too distant future to further enhance the sound as this for me adds to the effect when watching movies.

It thinks my XBOX is an Apple TV – DESPITE – me telling it otherwise. Also, something puts it into a state where pressing Home on my Sky Remote (which is NOT paired with the TV btw) switches HDMI ports.

A reboot of TV clears that problem. These are both devices that were previously connected to my older Sony Bravia TV and had no such problems. Apart from those annoyances (bugs) the TV itself is performing very well, as a TV.

Pick a program, it appears on the TV, typically not in 4K. Android TV user interface? Could be better. It’s very Amazon Prime-esque. Plenty of apps. Some work better than others. 4GB internal memory is far too stingy.

It’s just enough for the pre-installed apps. If you want to add more than a couple of other apps, you will need to add storage. I purchased a 512GB USB thumb drive for that purpose. It’s not clear if the drive can be used for both recording (a feature of the TV) and storage expansion, I hope its both.

However, having assigned it to storage, and moving data to this device (ie the USB drive) the apps still say their data is on internal storage. Attempting to “format” for recording fails, and it looks like it would have overwritten the storage anyway so it seems it can’t be shared for storage and recording.

Alexa was a pain to hook up, but it is possible.

I bought this TV as a replacement to my previous Sony TV, which had served me very well for 7 years, until most of the apps stop being supported. I looked at lots of brands, but in terms of picture quality and the operating system the Sony TV’s stood out from the rest.

I have to say I have not been disappointed at all with the picture and sound quality or the speed of the operating system that has no lag, like some I have tried. My only gripe, and it’s a fairly big one, is the fact that in the UK all the main catch up apps are not available on this TV.

It was advertised, when I bought it, as having BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and All 4, but none have been available, as I understand it, on any Sony TV’s made in 2021. This is a pain, as I’ve now had to invest in a Fire Stick to get around this until they become available.

I tried finding out what is going on but Sony vaguely say its an operating system issue, it ‘should’ be sorted out in 2021 (time is running out on that one). When I check with Google TV they say it’s an App development issue, nothing to do with them.

Contacting the BBC and they say it is a certification issue with Sony, and around in a big circle we go. This has rather soured what would have been a very good experience.

First up I will say that I’m legitimately shocked and surprised by how much of a massive leap forward Vizio panel quality has taken. Last time I was in the market for a TV, Vizio products (like those from all other mid-range manufacturers) really couldn’t match the bigger names’ offerings.

But, boy, has that changed, at least in the budget-to-midrange sector. The picture quality of the V-series is simply superb for a standard LED panel, leagues beyond that of the big boys’ comparable displays, and absolutely stunning for this price point.

The V-series display is bright, colorful, has great contrasts, excellent viewing angles, and a lovely glossy finish. It performs spectacularly in both viewing and gaming. It’s incredible that such excellent image quality can be now be obtained at so low a price.

The software is equally remarkable. The long and short of it is that I absolutely loathe the industry leader’s software, and Vizio’s is the polar opposite of it. The user interface on the big S’s TU line is simply dreadful: it’s slow, sluggish, unresponsive, and constantly shoves their idiotic, paid content-packed and ad-laden home menu in your face at every possible opportunity.

Even something so simple as selecting source input is an arduous and time-consuming affair there. Vizio’s UI, on the other hand, is wonderfully snappy, fast, simple, streamlined, and functional: everything simply works, and it works instantaneously.

The same goes for Vizio’s Smartcast vs the leader’s streaming setup: snappy and smooth. Vizio’s on-screen keyboard is miles better than the big S’s, too, and, thankfully, totally lacks the unspeakably stupid “checkmark finish” feature that assumes you’re done inputting characters for your Wi-Fi password after five inputs and that forces you to restart entry once you inevitably mistakenly click it after pressing the left arrow key in trying to navigate to the next character.

Now, for the only sore spot with the Vizio: the sound. The speakers on this set are rather tinny, very much lacking in bass and lower midrange. They work, they get the job done, they sound OK under certain circumstances, but the market leaders still take the cake when it comes to sound quality in this market range.

The speakers on the TU line are unquestionably superior. The tradeoff in picture quality might be worth it, though. The Vizio offers Bluetooth functionality, as well, so you, the viewer, are able to pair your favorite headset with it and bypass the subpar speaker quality.

Many people invest in sound bars, as well, so if you’re going to go that route then the picture quality on offer here makes the V-series totally worthwhile. So, while the audio quality leaves a lot to be desired, it’s not enough to be a deal breaker.

I bought this for my parents so that they can stream and access additional programming to supplement OTA channels, which are pretty limited in their area. Overall, the Vizio V-series was easy to unpack and set up.

The picture and sound are great. There is a noticeable difference in the sound when streaming, though, as compared with OTA volume. Programs and movies seem really low and the maximum sound must be used for my parents to hear.

Now, they are older but there should not be a need to watch movies at a volume of 80, when the OTA volume is 30. I will review audio settings and possibly purchase the V-series sound bar to see if that helps.

One challenge is that the TV seems to drop the WiFi connection easily and requires a sign-in or connection test often. Thus has happened twice, once after a thunderstorm and once after high winds. Weather can be volatile in SW Pennsylvania.

It could be my parent’s WiFi or just Smart TVs, in general. I am new to Smart TVs, myself, but not to tech gadgets and WiFi does not always offer an infallible connection. The only other challenge (for my parents) is the remote.

Not a very useful one for the over-80 crowd, but thank goodness for voice control! It is not an intuitive remote and needs lots of practice and a gentle touch, especially if your father has big hands, heavy press, and no patience.

If i had seen the remote on display, i might i have opted for a different model from Vizio that has a more adaptive remote. The V-series was incredible value, and I would recommend the purchase of Vizio, as long as it continues to operate.

Since it really is only 3 weeks old, it might better served to reach out at the 30-, 60-, or 90-day mark to ensure continued satisfaction. Otherwise, so far so good.

The Vizio V-series 50″” TV is a purchase you will not regret spending your money on. For the price every penny is well spent. (No regrets here) To set the TV up was easy to do and understand. There are plenty of features to customize the TV to your watching preference.

The picture settings are truly amazing. The backlighting adjustment is a best friend when setting your viewing preference. I was truly impressed how I could control every aspect of the color to my visual liking, brightness, contrast, color, tint, sharpness even color temperature and if that’s not good enough push advance picture.

That’s a whole new level to greatness. Don’t be afraid to use it each function explains how to use it (Best used in dark rooms etc) which is great for somebody like me which is unfamiliar with picture terminology.

There is even a color tuner to tune in individual colors. I wasn’t aware TVs could do that. I won’t go much into detail about the audio except for it’s exceptional and adjustable. The Bluetooth paired instantly and labeled my device.

Love wearing my Bluetooth earbuds not to Disturbed other house members or to block out my surroundings. Functions on this TV are plentiful, timers and so forth. Ther Vizio has all the up to date apps which you can organize in the order of your choice and HBO Max and Prime Video like apps just connect a HDTV antenna to the available ports and watch live TV.

This Vizio is worth its weight in gold. Three weeks later I’m still learning new things that the TV can do. I’m a very satisfied customer.

I got the 50 ins version and i am very happy with the TV overall. Good solid performer, picture and sound fine. I would, though, recommend getting a soundbar to go with it. Particularly if you like music, a soundbar makes all the difference.

There are more Apps on it than you can shake a stick at, so you’re never stuck for something to watch. I only have one or two niggles. The Freeview scroll menu leaves something to be desired, and the remote control takes around 7-8 minutes to warm up.

But apparently this is normal for these smart tv’s. Just put the tv on 10 minutes before your programme start and you’ll be fine. Would i recommend this TV? Yes of course, it is probably as good as any out there in this price range, and probably better than most, if not all.

I bought this TV a week good. I’ve tested it well enough. Not so happy with the overall performance. I’ve been experiencing lot of issues with the streaming apps like Viaplay & other apps where I was not able to cast the video.

It gets disconnected very often when connected to Wi-Fi. Lots of bad stuff. Maybe it would go good with a 4K google TV device but then what is the point of calling this a smart tv. Very plasticky weak remote.

The only good stuff is the image quality.

Bought the 65inch 20 months ago and it is now broken. The screen does not work – only sound. Tried all the recommended reboots etc. Philips have refused to honour the warranty as I live on a Scottish Island.

No mention of this restriction when I purchased it. My daughter’s ambilite 65inch has just failed too with the same problem. It is 26 months old. Shocking quality and support from a brand I used to trust.

For those who demand their TV fit their home décor and not their home décor fit their TV, the Frame is the perfect solution. From an aesthetic perspective, the Samsung Frame TV is one of the best. I have been extremely impressed with the quality of artwork the Samsung tv displays when in “art mode.

” It is relaxing and intriguing (depending on the piece of artwork) when walking by and seeing it on my tv. The selections of art work is impressive if you opt for the subscription service, but it’s nice that Samsung included some free art and the ability to add your own pictures.

Installation: The included slim mount is nice for the most part. Unfortunately, it comes it 2 pieces which led to me being able to only use 1 wood stud in my wall, but using anchor screws solved my problem.

Once the TV is hanging on the wall, you can easily adjust it to level it out. I would recommend watching some online videos if you are not familiar with mounting TVs on walls. The included One Connect Box is awesome, it allows you to just run a single wire in your wall instead of numerous cables like Power, HDMI, optical, ethernet, etc.

In addition, it’s easy to add, remove, or change any connection since the box is separated. Usability: The Frame uses a custom interface similar to Google TV in layout, with content taking center stage over just Smart APPs, which I really enjoy.

It does take some time to figure out all the bells and whistles and where everything is located. The interface is fast, responsive, and it just works well. I was able to set up Google Assistant and SmartThings without issue.

One thing I really like is the remote control, which I don’t think gets enough attention or praise. I was able to control all my entertainment devices, built in speaker system that runs throughout our home, subwoofers our PRIME Fire Stick, and newest gaming systems ie PS5 (mostly that just are an accessory lol).

It has a built-in solar panel which is able to charge the remote, no more having to re-charge my AA batteries. Picture Performance: Before comparing any TV, you should first update the Picture Mode to “Movie” on this TV, as it gives it the most accurate colors.

The Frame with its Quantum Dot, 4K, HDR10+ panel makes a really good picture, colors are vibrant and accurate, the blacks are good (but not OLED black), and I didn’t notice anything that looked bad or out of place like motion blur or dark spots.

The one thing I did notice, was that the screen reflected light very well, which is a bad thing. If you have a lot of natural light, this may be an issue with Art mode, during TV watching I forgot about the reflection.

It’s very nice they included a Game mode with support for AMD FreeSync eARC over HDMI which allows you to get the latest Atmos enabled sound. Mirroring your mobile device is easy. I chose the Frame for one reason – it was the only model I could find that could be mounted flat on a wall. It does that and I would give 5 stars for the picture and sound quality, but there is a list of other issues to do with installation and use that let it down.

1. The One Connect mini is a 20cm x 10cm box that basically just acts as a power supply, The only two ports that might have been useful (ethernet and aerial) were removed from the mini version and none of the other ports (usb, hdmi, optic) are relevant if all you want is a basic 32 inch TV in the kitchen.

2. The TV has WiFi but no ethernet port. This caused me major problems as it cannot cope with weak WiFi in out kitchen, despite the fact that other devices in the same room arefine with it and my iPad managed a 100mb download speed.

Added to that, if there is any sort of interruption in WiFi the TV and/or apps such as iPlayer hang up and need to be exited and restarted. In the end I had to buy a (second) access point and mount it in the room over the kitchen to get it working properly.

More expense, more ethernet wiring and socket for the access point. It would have been so much simpler and more reliable to run an ethernet cable through the wall into the TV. 3. The wire from the Connect One mini is terminated in 3cm wide connectors and I believe is mains voltage.

Routing it to the TV and keeping it hidden and electrically safe is therefore a major challenge. It would have been easier to route a mains cable in conduit; it would have been easier and a lot safer if the cable was low voltage and instead of the Connect One mini they just gave you a power supply like that for a phone or tablet.

4. The aerial cable has to somehow get to the TV, also hidden if you want to do the job properly. I drilled a 10mm hole through to the outside wall but I’m not sure many others would choose this option.

The existing aerial socket was next to where I sited the One Connect mini so it would have been perfect to plug in there if only Samsung had not decided to remove the port. 5. The mounts for the TV leave it about 3.

5mm away from the wall (unlike the more sophisticated mounting system on the larger Frames). To get round this you have to chisel them into the wall, which again many would not do. 6. Although advertised as taking the separately purchased frames in various colours, you can’t actually buy them in the UK.

You can’t even buy them from the US and have them shipped over. So basically you just have a plain black plasic bezel like any other TV. 7. Art mode. There is no motion detect to put the TV into power save mode when no one is around.

It consumes 28 W normally and still consumes 28 W when in art more. This means that you tend to just turn it off and forget the whole art mode gimmick when you have finished watching. 8. The switch on / off / art mode seems quite inconsistent and buggy.

Sometimes when you switch on the screen stays dark and you need to press home to get a picture. Other times it issues random error messages about trying to connect to something, which go away before you can read them.

Short press on the red power button puts it in art mode, long press turns it off. Well, most of the time anyway. It needs a “disable art mode” setting for users like me that just wanted a 32 inch telly on the wall.

9. Art mode is really there to sell you a subscription to buy art from Samsung. I’m never going to do this for a small telly in the kitchen. I did however manage to persuade it to load up a slide show of my own photos using the Smart Things app.

This app is buggy, unreliable and pretty hard to use, but if you’ve got an hour or so to waste and like challenges go for it. 10. A word on the display itself. The colour depth and clarity is actually very good – every bit as good as the 65 inch QLED in our living room.

But why only standard HD not UHD? The difference is noticeable in small text which appears a bit blocky on apps such as Amazon Prime although I don’t think it makes any difference on video. 11. The TV is about 25mm deep and sits flat on the wall.

While this is quite slender compared to other TVs it is not really pushing the boundaries when you consider that modern laptops, tablets etc. are much thinner. What I really wanted was a device the thickness of my iPad but 32 inches across! Summary – nice idea but the concept has not been carried through.

Features that worked well for the larger screen sizes have been removed and what you have left does not make a lot of sense. Maybe it would be easier to install in a US house with hollow walls for all the wiring.

The TV was bought at a mind blowing price of ₹69000/- on Flipkart. Received the product in time but Samsung service was too slow. The installation was delayed by a week. The no gap wall mount was awesome and product was mounted flush to the wall.

The Picture quality was awesome with great vivid bright images. Connected it to a sound bar and audio with Dolby atmos was awesome. Gaming quality with Xbox was great. The CEC functioned well and could control Xbox with TV remote.

The smart features blew my mind. The excellant connectivity features and smooth intelligent UI enhanced the overall experience. On the 5th day connected it to Fire TV cube and it was recognised instantly by the TV.

AND THE GOOD STORY ENDS here. Started watching an UltraHD Movie and during dark scenes noticed screen bleeding in all four corners. Checked with multiple sources and youtube video but the bleeding was worsening every day.

Returned the product to Flipkart and they sent a replacement. That TV too had same bleeding issues in all four corners. Went through many Youtube reviews for this TV but none of them mentioned this screen bleeding issue.

It is the same reason Samsung hurriedly launched 2021 Frame. Many of the users were unaware ot the issue as they only used it for bright scenes and as a picture frame. But as soon as dark HDR scenes were played the bleeding was evident.

Samsung should have pulled out these models from market but instead decided to sell them and take risk of panel replacement if customers noticed these defects. After two replacements, very poor service by Samsung decided to change the brand for my next TV.

Reasonable price. Good quality. But I would love to have a better looking remote control.

We have this Samsung TV in our family room and it is mounted on the wall. It is great to be able to play shows from all of our apps, YouTube, Facebook etc. , and our subscriptions, Netflix, discovery+, paramount etc.

, without first casting from our phone. The quality of the display is great and consistent to what you would expect from a Samsung. The price was reasonable, especially since we were able to go with a 40” because of the size of our TV room.

Really just a tv and a bunch of comfy recliners! I took one star off because the connection cable in the back has become loose and having to plug it back in is a bit difficult. Other than that, I would definitely recommend!.

You can’t go wrong with a Samsung smart TV. Not just because it provides a great and clear picture, has the hookup to all your favorite streaming apps without needing anything extra (though I did end up buying a Firestick for some reason), but Samsung TVs come with SO MANY EXTRA channels! If you can connect to wifi, there’s so many channels for sports and weather and movies and different shows.

Didn’t think I’d ever get into Korean content, but it’s there and yeah, they’re old shows and movies, but they’re new to me and they’re great! There’s some old American movies I heard of but never saw until they just happened to be on one of these extra channels.

It’s like having cable but not having to pay for it. They come with the TV. Pretty great.

I bought this tv last year and I would happily give it 5 stars if it was for the storage. My son has a habit of downloading lots of games and when the storage starts getting full it doesn’t give a notification or anything it just starts to not work very well and be very slow.

It took me about 2 months to figure out that’s what was wrong with it. I deleted some apps and it worked great again. I just wish it would give you a notification that the storage is getting full or something.

Other than that though it’s a great tv.

The tv itself was easy to hook up. Picture was fine, sound was fine, but after realizing this had no way to connect to wi-fi, I thought I’ll connect with Ethernet. Nope! Can’t do that either. no port.

Called customer service to make sure there was no other way to connect & it was obvious the person had no clue about this tv! Terrible customer service. If I didn’t need this to connect to internet I would’ve kept since it otherwise seemed ok.

Do not buy if you need to use the internet to watch anything such as Netflix or Sling tv like me!!!.

Have had only one problem with this tv and that is that one of the button caps popped off about a year after we bought it. You can still use the button but you just have to be able to reach inside it.

I love that it still has physical buttons on the tv. Great picture and quality for the price.

Purchased as a set for the bedroom, needed something that was backwards compatible on the inputs, which this was. I’ve only owned the machine a short while so I can’t comment on reliability. Audio sounds off, looking at adding a sound bar.
