20 Best 3 In 1 Sandwich Maker (2022 Updated)

I love a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup as a light meal, especially when cold weather comes around. My old sandwich grill of !5+ years no longer had a no-stick finish. I decided to treat myself to a new one for Xmas.

I placed an order on 11/18/20 for his one and threw my old one in the trash expecting delivery in about a week or so. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get a delivery date. From November 18th to 23rd, it was awaiting a shipping label.

On the 24th of November it completed unloading in Nashville where it has been sitting for 8 days. I am being told that delivery info will be available once details are provided by the carrier. I AM IN NO HURRY TO RECEIVE THIS PRODUCT, it is a present to myself.

I only HOPE AND PRAY the delays are due to heavy online shopping and not to Covid-19 illness among employees of the package carrier. Hope all are safe and healthy. Will write a review once I get my sandwich grill whenever that might be.

In the meantime, will prepare my grilled cheese the old way like my grandmother did, a little butter and a skillet.

The sandwich grill is an awesome addition to any kitchen. I grew up with one of these, and the piping hot sandwich pockets really make a simple meal special. Easy to operate, you just plug it in and wait for the green light.

Assemble your sandwich, place in machine and close lid. When the light turns green again open and enjoy. The maker seems well made, and is very easy to wipe clean. I have also used this to cook eggs and bacon and quesadillas.

I like Cuisinart products, so when I used their non-stick indoor sandwich maker I was less than impressed. First, one side of the bread never toasted. Secondly, the diagonal press cutter did nothing to divide the sandwich.

I’ll give it a couple more tries, as the first two times came out the same way. Other than that, it does operate, but would have been better if the instructions to ensure BOTH sides of the bread are toasted would be helpful for first time users of this product.

I recommend this product to people who are looking for a sandwich maker for a budget-friendly price. This product is very easy to use. By saying “easy to use”, I mean it’s a simple plug-and-heat type.

There’s no extra switch. Once you plug in its wire, it starts to heat up right away. You can simply unplug the wire whenever you want it to stop. On the other side, its plug-and-heat design also makes it a little bit harder to control compared to those with a timer or auto-switch.

You have to either keep your eyes on it throughout the whole heating process or use a watch or clock to count the time length, so it won’t overheat your meal. And you are not able to adjust the heat level.

The good thing is, it has two light indicators which respectively tell you whether it’s heating up or it’s just keeping warm. The inner part is made of non-stick material, the quality is not as good as I expected.

The first few times. it performs well as described. Not even a bit of food would stick on it after cooking, which makes it easy to wash. But only after about 3 months, the surface starts to get sticky gradually.

Now it takes a lot of effort to wash since a large portion of food will stick on the plate after heating. Although with a few flaws, I still recommend this sandwich maker because it’s overall good in its price level.

And if you treat it carefully, it will remain better durability.

light weight heats fast crisps perfectly easy clean up. just wipe with damp paper towel after removing hot sandwich with cheese or sauce let cool while enjoying your sandwich. then the machine will be cool take hot soapy dishcloth to wipe clean.

We really enjoyed this sandwich maker in making wonderful Grilled Cheese sandwiches that also my daughter really enjoys them. I would definitely like to recommend this product.

Incredibly easy to use, clean, and light enough to move around. The packaging is bigger than the actual device. GOOD -Heats up and is ready in under a minute. 2 minutes if you want to be 100% sure. -Melted cheese slides off when hot or cold.

-Extremely easy to clean. In my case a wet napkin can clean it. -A great price for a solid product. SO-SO -Instructions say green light. But the light is actually a faded yellow or orange color. -The box shows bread fitting perfectly.

The brand I use pokes out on both sides. It’s normal sized bread, not extra large. Smaller bread would fit perfectly. -After the second use I noticed the plastic near the handles have lost color. Most likely from the heat.

Colorloss is only on the inside which isn’t a big deal. There are no real negatives here. It’s small, doesn’t need a lot of space, heats up super fast and is easy to clean. An absolute fantastic buy.

I’m pretty happy with my new Sandwich Pro. One of my favorite Sunday afternoon lunches as a kid was grilled cheese sandwiches!! And now I’m making grilled cheese every other day! The Sandwich Pro is small enough to fit on a counter and it makes nice crisp golden grilled cheese sandwiches! I love the color a pretty blue green compared to regular old black or white!! It’s EXTREMELY user friendly and cooks quickly.

Im not making extra dishes to wash with a pan and spatula either!!! I would definitely recommend the Sandwich Pro to anyone young or older who loves sandwiches!.

I bought this as I needed a new sandwich maker. I love everything about it except that it is not deep enough! Does not take anything but thin sandwich sized bread and hardly anything between the bread pieces.

If you try to go thicker it will not close. It you don’t close it, it leaks. Great idea but needs a deeper bed for the sandwiches.

Absolutely love this! Only used the waffle maker function so far, but, as someone who takes ages to cook anything, this is so easy and straightforward to use! Waffles cooked well – nothing spills over if you don’t overfill it, as you’d expect.

Plates are easy to clean. As some have said, the lower plate has a little more room around it, but if you make sure before starting that you’ve pushed it into place so there aren’t any gaps, it won’t spill under the plates.

Initially, I was worried the waffles might be on the small side, but they’re perfect – if you want another, go ahead and have two! 🙂 Overall, I’m so pleased with product, and will use it as often as possible!.

This is a great little gadget. Easy to use, so easy to clean as plates can be easily and quickly removed. You get 3 different types of plates, one for toasted sandwiches (the usual 2 triangle shapes), two is a waffle plate, three is a mini griddle so you can grill bacon or heat paninis up.

Has a red button to show it’s switched on, green button to show it’s heated up and ready to use. On the reverse is the 3 legs of the stand part, one of which doubles as a winder to store the cable round during storage.

It looks like an expensive product, plates are sturdy. Definitely recommend this.

Once again, I cheaped out and didn’t get a real panini press. My bad. If mashing (at the most) two slices of regular bread and doing it on an impossible -to -clean piece of trash is your idea of yum, get this.

Otherwise, save up and get a good one. It toasted the bread OK, but I couldn’t leave my sandwich on long enough —without burning the outside —-to even melt the cheese in it. Otherwise, save up and get a good one.

This one is already in the trash.

So, this works it toasts everything great but within the 3 or 4th use the handle to lock it snapped and broke. I did not use any force I am a pettit woman (weight about 114lbs) so no force was ever used on this to lock it plus, I am the only one who uses it and it just broke.

I am still using it because it still toasts.

The closing clasp broke the first time we used this. You would have to hold it closed manually. Shipping cost to return/replace were almost the cost of the really crummy product so not worth the extra investment.

Very poor quality, cheap, and useless.

I love making grilled sandwiches in this! The plates are lightweight and completely non-stick. Melted cheese slides right off. I would give it 5 stars if it had an on/off switch.

This thing is the greatest, and might possibly last forever if you let it. I only bought this new one to replace my other because I had the other for almost 3 decades and it was starting to get that “old” smell about it (despite wiping it down after each use).

But aside from that, it still worked just fine and still made the cooked the sandwiches completely and to a nice golden brown. Was just ready for a fresh one.

It works fine but cooks longer than it should so bread ends up burnt if you dont take it out early enough. And cleaning it is a pain in the neck. Cheese or anything else you put in your sandwhich goes down in the cracks where you can’t get to to clean it.

That is the biggest downside of the whole thing!.

this sandwich maker works well it ‘toasts’ well and it works quickly. it leave a nice pattern on the bread. this product is not very expensive. i will recommend to perchase

I had high hopes for this sandwich maker. I wish the metal plates had a grill pattern to give the bread a grilled look and feel. I do not know what kind of sandwich you could make out of this product because the hinge does not expand so really only one slice of bread can fit in there.

I suppose you could make toast, but I think a toaster would produce better results. Every time I tried to make a sandwich it would not close all the way and the contents would spill out of the sides.

I put two slices of deli meat and a piece of cheese and it was “too big”. This product looks cute but is impractical.

Very disappointed with the product. Even with the thinnest of sandwiches, it is very difficult to lock the device. Regardless sandwich contents oozed out and made a mess down the side. Slight gap between the hot plates and device filled up with contents which made cleaning difficult.

Used it a couple of times, nothing improved. Boxed it back up to return or throw away. Not even worth donating.

This was my first time ever having a sandwich press type machine. I’ll be honest, I never saw the need for it before when I can just make one on the stove. After getting this, my opinion has not changed.

It heats your sandwich up pretty quickly, but doesn’t get it super crispy. I like that the bread gets sliced down the middle during the cooking process, but that’s about it. Sandwiches come out. just okay.

A loosey-goosey knock-off of a big, sturdy clamshell dual-sandwich maker I had in the 80’s/90s that made my kids hot breakfast sandwiches all through their early school years. I got this when we started having our grandson dropped off on school mornings for breakfast and school bus supervision, although it’s my daughter who likes the “old time” sandwiches most for her drive into work.

It works fine, and is certainly FAR smaller & thus easier to store than the old machine (long since donated away, unfortunately). And it’s got the same “clamshell” design to the pressing plates that I find allows more filling to be incorporated into a sandwich than the more-prevalent “three-line/star” design which I suspect is simply easier/cheaper to manufacture.

My main gripe is that there’s a lot of loosely-fitted plastic housing that provides access for any seeping liquid from a sandwich to infiltrate the innards of the device. While it’s hot, it’s easy to use the plastic handles to tilt the machine to drain out fluids (hot grease, etc.

) and wipe everything down, although youll have to use a fine knife and/or brush to extract melted cheese, cooked egg, etc. from the crevices. This would probably drive clean-freaks nuts, though, and they’ll be wanting to unscrew/dissect the entire thing every time they use it to get every spec of “whatever” out of the guts of the heating elements.

We’ll enjoy using it for however long it lasts, which may be quite a while, but I’m not expecting it to last forever. It’s a throw-away version of a sturdy previous incarnation which I now wish I’d hung on to, storage issues or not! P.

S. It works best if you’re careful about choosing bread that fits/fills the plates but is not overly thick to allow for a decent amount of filling to be included. I find that pressing my chosen “supermarket bread” slices between two dinner plates to flatten/de-fluff them before assembling the sandwich for insertion in the machine is a big help.

Likewise, nudging/arranging the filling to leave a tiny gap roughly along the diagonal cutting/sealing line helps greatly in ensuring a good, non-leaking seal for the pocket sandwiches as they emerge in all their toasty glory.

With this maker, I find it best to mix my scrambled egg/cheese/bacon crumble mix without adding additional liquid & microwave (with frequent stirrings to create a smooth-ish, very softly-cooked filling that can be cooled, stirred & chilled in the fridge for use all week.

MUCH less hassle than assembling everything totally from scratch daily! With a bit of planning, this little machine can make a positive addition to your kitchen toolbox. Try PB&J, PB & choc. bars or Nutella, raisin bread w/flavored cream cheese of your choice, and go EASY on greasing/spraying the toasting plates, ’cause a little will go a LONG way and last through several sandwich sessions unless you soap & water wash after each use.

This cooks a sandwich well. It heats evenly and is much less greasy than cooking up a grilled cheese in a pan full of butter. There is however a definite technique. If you spray or grease the metal plates, it becomes a huge mess.

You need to grease the bread. I just use spreadable butter or spray olive oil. I very much wish the plates just came off. Because the plates don’t come off, cleaning is a huge pain. But also, I like Dash products; I like that they’re small.

However, you get a tiny waffle iron, a tiny griddle, and a tiny sandwich press, and at that point you’ve spent as much and lost the same amount of storage space as you would if you just bought a full-size appliance with switchable plates.

I’d easily pay like $50 for something the size of this sandwich press that had plates for griddle, grill, and waffle cooking. Probably more if it were adjustable temp. I like small space solutions. 3-4 appliances at $15-20 is just a novelty that eventually becomes inconvenient.

This product is deceiving. Shows photo of what looks like a grilled cheese-even in the instruction book. For one, you need to cut off the crusts to fit into unit. Your ‘fillings’ can only be minimal.

Though I used it only one time, tried to literally give it away with no luck. All who saw it, said it was too small, period. This is useless for my needs(again, far too small for anything other than appetizers at best), and for $15, will try to sell at spring rummage sale.

Loving this little sandwich maker. It cooks evenly and nothing sticks to it (so far). Melt cheese without issue. It’s quick, easy, and perfect for a single person or dorm. It takes 3-4 minutes at most.

Less than 10 minutes and I have two sandwiches made. Con: Wish it was a little bigger to make two sandwiches at one time. But Zero regrets so far.

Every household needs a device like this. It’s a great way to teach cooking as your kids grow up into their teenage years. Their are endless possibilities with what kind of food can be made in this. We love to make grilled cheese, grilled ham and cheese, little brownies, all kinds of things.

Also great for making toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

I bought this in store for $9. 00 about 8 months ago. It’s been in our work break room and is used every single day by several people. We make sandwiches, eggs—scrambled and over easy, all kind of things outside it’s purpose.

It works perfectly every time and has had a ton of use. I will always have one at work from here on out. Best $9 I have ever spent in my life.

Works great and makes delicious sandwiches. The latch mechanism is a nice touch, but hard to use without touching the hot lid. Also hard to clean without getting water inside, which it says explicitly not do.

Only works on standard, smaller size bread and no more than 2 slices deli cheese or it goes everywhere, and you’ve cut to cut it in half before toasting. However, it really does its job well despite those limitations.

I have 3 other Dash products and love them all. This one is not for me. I tried it twice – a grilled cheese sandwich with bread and a PBJ with bread. I buttered one and didn’t butter the other. I cooked one less time than the other.

Cons: If the filling overflows, it is hard to clean up. There’s a crevice just under the hot area that catches the overflow. It’s not sealed, so when you try to clean up the spill, it pushes the food into the bottom of the unit where the heating element is.

Also, the bread is tough after cooking, not crunchy. Didn’t taste as good as browning in a skillet. Returning.

This gril is l simple as should be. Very easy to use and great for sandwiches. Only dow side is absence of an on and off switch.

She loves how many different things she can cook on this. Shes so happy with it.

Great for toasting breads, for making hamburgers and similar meats I use to toast bread to a derlicious grade.

If you have kids in your house I highly recommend getting a Hamilton Beach Sandwich Maker. It’s such a simple kitchen gadget but it really is great to have on hand. When your kids are old enough to make their own sandwiches but aren’t old enough to use the stove they will love having it also! My kids love making grilled cheese, grilled ham and cheese and even s’mores dessert sandwiches in this.

The top can get hot so make sure to only touch the handle area when using it. It is non stick and cleans up so quick and easy. The light let’s you know when it’s perfectly cooked, I’ve never had anything burn in it.

People get quite creative with what they make in it!.

Since receiving this, I have made a breakfast sandwich every day (for a couple of months now) and I LOVE it! My kids have opted a healthy breakfast sandwich over their usual choice of sugary cereals too much of the time so that’s a huge plus.

I grew up with an older version of this sandwich maker. I had one when I moved out (and eventually got married), but lost it to a house fire in 2011. I loved this so much and as a birthday gift my grandmother bought me a new one.

I haven’t had any real problems with this machine. It does what it is supposed to do just fine. It cools sandwiches all the way through nicely. My only issue with this machine is really that it seems kind of pointless to me, and kind of more trouble than it’s worth.

It was promoted to me a basically a grilled cheese maker and in a sucker so I got one. But really it’s easier to just cook up a grilled cheese sandwich in a pan than it is to get the machine out and use it.

Also, it’s a whole heck of a lot easier to wash a pan. You can’t just stick the machine in the dishwasher like you can with the pan. I suppose if you were adding meats and veggies to your sandwich it would make it easier and faster to cook, and I may try that but I’m afraid I’d have the same issue I had with the quesadilla maker, that its hard to lose with too much inside of it.

Performance Works fine, but not really as simple as just using a pan on the stove. Durability I’ve had this for quite some time now and it’s still hanging on. EDIT: I recently pulled this old girl out during a kitchen remodel and it workd great after all this time.

This is a great little inexpensive sandwich maker if your just starting out. I got mine shortly after moving into my first place. I loved it! To me this is the best thing for grilled cheese sandwiches.

It not only cooks the outside and melts the cheese just right but it gives you the crunchy edges. I know not everyone likes that but I am one of the few who do. It has a light letting you know when it’s preheated and ready for use which is a great thing to have.

It also locks when you close the lid which makes it easy to cook your sandwich completely. My one complaint about it would be the difficulty cleaning. if you add to much cheese it will leak out and get into the lower back opening where the hinges are.

It becomes almost impossible to clean every bit of food off once it gets in there. You need a bottle cleaner just to get back there and clean everything off as best as possible. The hot plate part of the part though is very easy to clean off, as well as the outer part of the sandwich maker.

For such an inexpensive product it really does get the job done. As far as durability goes if you drop it a few times or just one good drop it will break fairly easy. For the price though you really cannot beat it!.

I am a sucker for a good grilled cheese sandwich. I just use regular sandwich bread, layer in some slices of cheddar or fresh mozzarella cheese, spread a little butter on the outsides of the bread, and then let the Toastmaster two-section sandwich maker do its thing.

It can be difficult to close and latch into place (usually my bread is just a little too big for the sandwich press). It has a handy light on top that turns from red to green when the sandwich is cooked to perfection–the bread is golden brown and crispy, the cheese is gooey and delicious.

While it’s possible to cook a good grilled cheese on a griddle or in a frying pan, the sandwich press is faster, and the compression of the sandwich gives it a different texture. I don’t use it often, but it is quite small, so it doesn’t take up much room in the cupboard.

Ease of Cleaning Because the grill plates are non-removable, you have to settle for just wiping the unit out with a wet rag. I don’t recommend using detergents as they may leave a residue on the grill, and you don’t want a soapy sandwich.

We’ve used the toasted sandwich plates and the panini plates so far and after the initial set-up the toaster does pre-heat and cook things quite fast. It’s nice that the machine actually keeps the filling from spilling out all over the place, which has been my problem with toasted sandwich machines before!.

I bought this to replace my old sandwich toaster which was approx 12 years old. I must say I am pleased so far as I have only used it twice. There are lots of different plates one for waffles, The sandwich toaster does the job perfectly.

This is a very good quality sandwich maker. We’ve only used the sandwich and panini inserts so far and we’re very pleased with the results. The sandwich inserts are much larger than I’ve seen in other makes and can fit normal slices of bread without problems.

Can definitely recommend to others.

It was a present for my granddaughters eighth birthday, I hasten to add that she had requested it. On the day of her birthday, the family all nine of us got together and had one great delicious toasty sandwich making sessions.

We christened the toaster with Warburtons white sliced bread, quality ham, cheese, tomatoes, mustard and various chutneys not all in the same toasty. They were all very evenly cooked and every one was happy.

Initially my granddaughter will be supervised as it is a serious hot piece of equipment and she is looking forward to coming up with her own Receipes as well as trying some out of the booklet. I, the grandmother is going to get The same Cuisinart deep filled sandwich toaster for myself.

So far a great success.

Pros: Best sandwich maker out there! It really is deep fill! Bread stays fluffier than with other toasty makers we’ve used, this one has variable temperatures which is really handy. It’s super quick.

Plates come off and go in the dishwasher, and they’re oversized so nothing leaks out of the side, keeping the whole applicable clean. No complaints, brilliant item. Expensive but I’d definitely say its worth it.

Best water bottle I’ve had so far, 40oz capacity is perfect. It’s a nice solid water bottle, the sip lid twist cap is a great feature. The carry handle is part of the lid, but its sturdy and strong enough to hold the water bottle at full capacity.

Definitely recommend this.
