We celebrate with a Messianic Passover Seder… and love this time of year when we can set out our gardens and enjoy all the beautiful blooms, as well as watching the birds building their nests. I think this definitely my favorite time of the year.

We do an Easter egg hunt in the back yard. The girls stay in their pjs. Makes for some cute pictures. Then we visit my parents and have another Easter egg hunt. Dinner at the in-laws. Lots of family fun!

We like beginning all our outdoor fun again; volleyball, basketball, kickball…all those sports you can’t play (at least outside) during the winter!

  21. Carrie says:

Every year since I was a baby my ENTIRE family goes to my Granny and Poppy’s house and we eat lunch (a lunch equal to that of Thanksgiving) and the big kids hide the eggs for the little kids. Always a blast!

Easter is my favorite season of all. Not only because of my religion, but becasue usually everything is blooming and beautiful. The colors are wonderful. And around my neck of California, the weather is nice and crisp.

  23. Emmalice says:

We put Easter eggs (plastic) around the yard for our little one to find and we usually put chocolate, stickers or some other small toy inside. A basket of goodies is usually part of the hunt. Just watching smiles and hearing the giggles makes my day.

  24. Amanda says:

We always celebrate Easter at my parents house. They have a big gathering. If it is nice out we cook on the grill or if it is cold out we have a more traditional dinner. The town we live in also has a huge Easter egg hunt for the all the kids and they give away bikes to probably about 50% of the participants. It is always a really big deal during an election year because the politicians buy bikes to try to sway the voters.

  25. Martha says:

Several churches in our town get together for an Easter Sunrise Service in the park. Then we all move in to our church for breakfast. There are Easter services following breakfast at the individual churches. So after doing church all morning we’ll go home and all cook a big dinner together. My 3 year old granddaughter is very excited to wear her new Easter dress, too, which she says makes her look like a princess. :)

My favorite spring tradition is searching for Easter Eggs at my Aunt Linda’s house. All ages participate every Easter. She hides about 200 eggs so everyone gets a chance to fill their basket.

  27. Jessi says:

I love taking my two boys and step-daughter to the park. My boys are very high energy toddlers and they love to run around and climb and swing. I’m looking forward to the local Easter Egg Hunt held at a park. They divide areas up into different age groups so even the little kids have a chance at finding eggs.

  28. Wendy says:

Easter egg hunt at Grandamas! Soooo excited that we wont have to wear winter coats this year… I hope!

  29. rkosully says:

I feel like spring is sort of a mercurial season. The weather is often erratic, fluctuating between winter blasts and summer heat, so it’s hard to plan outdoor activities.
I would love to hear about Easter egg hunts or other events people participate in!
