I would so love to work from home but I don’t want to be in the direct sales business and I have limited resources to invest. I would love to BLOG but have no idea on how to get started. Any thoughts? suggestions?

That sounds like fun. I tried to start a blog and instead got a bog. (As in, I got bogged down!) LOL
I agree. And it sounds easier than what it really is.
Very interesting.
You are welcome. If you have any further quesions I would be glad to try to answer them for you.
That is why I say it is not a money maker for most people unless you have some sort of area of expertise. Technical writing and academic writing pay well and the majority of the income I make at home comes from technical writing.
I actually have a surplus of work in the area of technical writing. So you have any expertise areas, capitalize on them.
I do this with Cretive Memories now! I just can’t afford to keep going with only a few loyal customers, one being me!!
Great idea – thanks
thank you so much for the info!
If you want a free blog account sign up with Blogger. I have been blogging for about one and half years now and my blog only gets better and better. It really is a learning experience and you are always learning. I do receive a lot of free products for blogging including everything from food and clothes to electronics and much more. I also sometimes receive compensation in the form of money for sidebar advertising, sponsored posts, and regular posts. I recently received a prepaid $50 mastercard for hosting a fun party:)
Right there with ya! I do some free lance writing here and there, but it’s a hard market to earn money in these days as “everyone” is doing it.
I just checked out the “EnlistMoms” dosen’t look like an earning opp. Tell us more about it… please

I sold Avon for three years… I ended up being my best customer.
You could submit an article to SocialMoms, and, if it’s published, used that to show other sites that you have been published and see if they will hire you.
This is something I’d be interested in too.
Blogging with Amy is an excellent resource (she’s on Facebook)
Blogging for your own site unfortunately for 99.9% of people is not going to be an income maker, HOWEVER, blogging for others and ghostwriting can bring in a decent amount of money. You just need superior writing skills and to be able to write on a WIDE array of topics. The more technical….the better.
I have seen some posts recently from EnlistMoms; you may want to contact them to see if there are any opportunities for you:

I currently have 6 websites. 5 of which I run with hopes of making money. The one I have done the longest makes somewhere between 100-300 dollars a month if I am lucky and I have been doing it for almost three years. It takes a TON of time to get started and I invest a lot of time for very little return. That being said I have recently started a mommy blog in which I discuss my current pregnancy and misc things about being a parent. In a short time I have more people following this blog than the other ones, but I am not making any money off of it yet. I have done a lot of research on what makes other blogs so successful and it seems that those people who blog on a specific topic and have at least three or four good new posts a week draw the most traffic and therefore have good income just by using AdSense. I am hoping to find time to start posting more on my mommy blog soon and see if that drives up traffic and income. I hope this helps you some.
You sound alot like me but as you said it is hard to get topics to blog on.If you get any pointers please contact me. 2babemama@gmail.com
