Tempura paints are ones that will stick, but another idea is to use Crayola finger paints, you can still use a paint brush if you want. Very safe! You can keep them in a spot outside where they won’t get wet, then they will keep, or you can put them where they can get rained on and the paint will come off and you can do it again
I would also stick to a natural paint for painting with children. There are so many types of paint that it really depends on the effect you want. I love Glob Paints, Mythic paint, milk paint, Eco Kids, and Clementine Art depending on the project. You could try making your own paint too!
acrylic paint works best
Acrylic paint would stay on the rocks because it’s not water soluable. Definitely don’t use a water-based paint if you want it to stay. Acrylic might wear off over time, but should stay bright for quite some time.
You can use a natural milk paint. Then it will not harm the environment even if it washes off. Then you can repaint them again and again!
I don’t know but go to Pinterest and search for painted rocks and you’ll find some amazing ones! Then many will lead to a blog with instructions. Good Luck!
How bout any ind of pain that wont run then clear coat them to save em
I think a natural based watercolor paint would be fun because after it washes off you can always repaint the rocks. Such a fun idea! I hope I remeber in a year or two for a great project with my little one. She is only 9 months now.
PAINTING ROCKS IS A REALLY CUTE IDEA.
Personally I would choose a natural based paint (organic preferably) if you were doing it with your children.
