Powder foundation might be better for you. Or just try different brands, I always use covergirl foundation. I will get the cheaper brands of the other make up products, but never on foundation. It’s worth paying a bit more

Well alot says it has to do with the foods you eat and how your body reacts to situations… Like it is great to eat alot of salads and cucumbers…that is where the expression cool as a cucumber comes from….so keeping your body at a cooler temp can help. But…When I sweat my makeup runs regardless if I have used powder forms or liquid forms…I suggest getting an old fashion fan…lol…

Go to a makeup table at macys and ask them, I am sure they would know.

Very good ideas–I’ll have to try some of these out in the summer heat…

These are great ideas. I was suggest using a finishing powder, although this has never happened to me so I am not 100%

Start with a primer, DON’T OVER APPLY THE BASE (if you have too much it will run much more easily), then be sure to set it with a nice brushing of loose powder to help it stay.

I have oily skin, and something that works wonders for me is a poreless mouisturizer I love from Clinique, but the brand doesn’t really matter, it kind of closes your pores so you use it first, then apply foundation (or you can switch to more lightweight tinted mouisturizer in the summer instead of full on foundation), and then top with a setting powder, that isn’t bullet proof, but it will definitely help. And remember, when you are sweating, don’t rub a towel or anything across your face or you will end up with streaks, so dab away your sweat, don’t rub it off! Hope those tips help!

I dont have hot flashes, but during the summer mine runs a lot, I try to use less foundation, and use an airy light foundation, and use more powder. I also take a brush and rub it in, so it doesnt run to bad. Although, you will normally get running no matter what, while sweating or having hot flashes, just use a lil less, and it wont be to dramatic..also try to get the closes to your skin color, that way it doesnt leave lines giving you a natural look, rather than using a bronzer and have different spots..

Awesome Idea! I love seabreeze, never thought about refridgerating it! Im not having hot flashes, but heyy tighter poors and fresher faces sound great to me!! Thanks!!

A few tips that have helped me are:

Start with a cool face by using a refridgerated skin toner like sea breeze. Everyone gets a kick out of seeing it in the fridge, but it feels so nice and the result is tighter pores and a refreshed face.

Additionally, giving myself enough time to get dressed calmly without rushing helps.

Lastly, if possible, skip the liquid or cream foundation altogether and opt for just some loose powder. If you do find that a “personal power surge” causes your face to sweat and your makeup to run, a quick splash of cool water will rinse off the former powder and you can reapply the powder easily and anywhere.

    Peace

MINE STILL RUNS EVEN AFTER MINERAL POWDER.

  12. Carol says:

Try a powder mineral foundation. They are basically sweat-proof. you could layer this over your regular foundation but I think it would work best for you to replace your current foundation with the mineral kind. I naturally perspire a lot in my facial area and have found that the mineral foundations really stay put.

    Powder works great for this!

  14. Arwen Peszynski says:

Use a pressed powder on top of your foundation but remember to use a little less foundation.

I wish you luck on finding that one out.

    I don’t know. I don’t wear make-up!
