I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for new recipes. And if they happen to be easy enough to have my kids help (and keep them busy) all the better! That’s why I’m extremely excited about cloroxrecipesforfun.com. Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner launched the site as a way for you and your kids to get recipes, arts and crafts projects, and even ideas for science experiments. And who cares if you make a mess, because the clean-up is a snap with Clorox® Clean Up®! You’ll be able to find the perfect activity for you and your kids to live it up, mess it up, then clean it up.

The moms here at SocialMoms have put together some fun recipes and messy crafts of their own:

Health, Beauty, Children and Family is all about fairies with fun crafts including fairies in a jar and cake pops. All you need is a glow stick, a jar with a lid, and diamond glitter.

Little Island Studios lets their kids make fun masks with paper plates and then they get extra crafty. “Let your mask dry, cut small spaces out for the ribbon, elastic or string. Be extra creative and have your kids come up with a skit involving their new creation and act it out for the family that night instead of TV. Oh, the laughing that ensues!”

Clarissa Day by Day has a great way to get outdoors and then get crafting by making images with fallen leaves. “All you have to do is gather leaves from various trees and plants. We did this camping once and it was a perfect time to do it. The children wandered around the campsite area collecting their supplies.”

Mia’s Musings decided to get a little messy with some goo. It’s an easy-to-make project using only warm water, corn starch and lime green food coloring. “For our fun project, Caden and I decided to make some goo. It has been years since I played with goo. He was in for a surprise. What I like about these types of simple things to play with is that they are easy to make and in most cases, I have what is needed to make it.”

Along with all these fun crafts, and to celebrate the new Recipes for Fun site, Clorox has launched the Ultimate Mess Party Sweepstakes and they want you to clean up with prizes! Why register? Once you register, you are automatically entered into the grand prize for a chance to win $10,000 toward an Ultimate Mess Party. Plus, you’ll be eligible to INSTANTLY win one of the daily $100 gift cards just for viewing recipes.

And we’re also giving away a $100 gift card here at SocialMoms. Just comment with your ideas for the Ultimate Mess Party and you’ll be entered for a chance to win. (See official rules)
