It’s almost autumn, and that means that there are pumpkins starting to ripen in the garden. Soon, they’ll make their appearance in grocery stores and farmer’s markets. As much as I love pumpkin everything (from candles to coffee cake), I do get tired of pumpkin pie long before I run out of pumpkin puree.

If you feel like you’re stuck for ideas when it comes to using up that pumpkin puree, don’t be discouraged. There are many different ways that you can enjoy pumpkin besides pie!

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

During the summer, I enjoy berries and peaches in my smoothies. As the weather gets colder, I switch to apples and pumpkins. Of course, you don’t need a recipe to use up leftover pumpkin puree. You can mix it into your yogurt or oatmeal for breakfast for a quick and healthy treat.
