Take a Bite: Almond Cherry Cookies Recipe

Cherries and almonds are both amazing foods, chock full of nutrients and benefits. So why not put these super foods together in a cookie recipe? Together cherries and almonds have a wealth of benefits:

  • Prevent cancer
  • Help fight heart disease
  • Good for skin
  • Boost energy
  • Full of vitamins
  • Helps with diabetes
  • Helps with constipation
  • Helps with weight loss
  • Helps with sleep
  • Helps with joint inflammation
  • Are antioxidants
Wow! With all of that, how could you not try out this recipe? Whip up a batch and feel good when dishing out these almond cherry cookies to your loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of almond meal/flour (ground almonds)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 stick of organic salted butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs with omega-3
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup of dried cherries

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375.
  2. Place almond meal, baking powder, butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs in a bowl and mix together.
  3. Give your dried cherries a rough chop.
  4. Put cherries and chips in bowl and fold into batter.
  5. Using two spoons place a ball of batter on a greased baking sheet.  I place 6 on each sheet as they really spread out.
  6. Flatten each ball slightly so it is more of an even disk.
  7. Place in oven for 7 to 10 minutes.
This recipe is good for anyone with the following allergies:
  • Green: Shellfish
  • Pink: Gluten
  • Blue: Soy
  • Purple: Milk
  • Orange: Fish
