Congratulations to Diva Dietitian: the SocialMoms Blog of the Week!

Looking for ways to get healthy and reach your diet goals this year, then definitely check out Diva Dietitian. Kristie is a self-diagnosed food snob, who shares her obsession with healthy food, cool kitchen gadgets and more. I chatted with Kristie about her site.

SM: What was your inspiration for starting Diva Dietitian?

I started Diva Dietitian because I wanted a blog that would reflect my passions and loves in life. I wanted a nutrition site that I could have fun with and that women could relate to and learn from. I was inspired by the many fad “diet” sites out there with either misleading information or unrealistic expectations. I was also inspired by the many people in my life who have or had cancer. My goal is to bring sound nutrition information to the forefront in an easy and real way while touching on all the other things in life that make me feel happy.

SM: What has most surprised you about running the site?

The sheer volume of e-mails to keep up with AND I’m often surprised when I look up at the clock and it’s 3:00 in the morning!

SM: What are you most passionate about?

I’m most passionate about my 3 kids (7, 5 and 2) I love cooking, baking, craft projects, writing and helping others. I love the opportunities my blog has created to allow me to work from home and put a focus on feeding my own family a healthy diet. I know how hard it is to make putting healthy meals on the table a priority when working full time away from home.

SM: What is the most popular section of your site?

The most popular section is Sugar Shout Out where I only list only desserts that are worth every calorie!

SM: What is your favorite part of blogging?

Making friends and connections online AND especially love when I get to meet them in person.

SM: Do you have any blogging resolutions for the new year?

My blogging resolutions…blog EVERY day AND to not worry so much about what others think….just write from the heart.

Sharing is caring!
