Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year to eat out and rightfully so. However, this can make for a not-so-romantic dinner if you are packed in a crowded restaurant getting bumped by the waiter or feel like you are sharing a table with strangers. Why not try something different this year? Make a romantic meal for your loved one and fill it with LOVE.

You do not have to be a Julia Child or Betty Crocker to make a delicious meal from the heart. It just takes a little planning and the right recipe to make this special evening everything you want it to be.

The main course can often be the most challenging and time-consuming to prepare so choosing the right one is key.

For the red meat lover how about some Pepper Crusted Filet Mignon which has minimal ingredients and can be paired with almost any sides. For instance, you could serve a side of Roasted Cauliflower with Gremolata Bread Crumbs or Tomatoes Rockefeller. These all sound delicious and are really not that hard to make.

If you have a poultry lover, serve them up Chicken with Lemon Potatoes with a side of Sauteed Broccoli Rabe or Asparagus Parmesan. This hearty meal will put smile on their face for sure.

For those who have a vegetarian in their love life, and many do, its important to take their eating choices into consideration too. There is wonderful Linguini with Tomato Almost Pesto dish that will impress any vegetarian or also, the Almost Beef Wellington with Madeira Sauce for a Vegan choice.

If you are looking for some appetizer ideas, cheese fondue is always a winner. Tomato Basil Skewers are also a great idea. There’s just something about those finger foods that adds to the romance. You can skewer almost any vegetable or cheese and come up with your own favorite concoction.

Of course, we have to save room for dessert. This may be the most romantic course of all. If you want something that melts in your mouth, try this Ambrosia Dessert. For our chocoholics, there’s Chocolate Espresso Lava Cake or Chocolate Amaretti Pie. Those with a fruity sweet tooth will love the Fruit Kabobs with Two Sauces or the 1 Minutes Berry Ice Cream.

Whatever you choose, if you make it special and fill it with love, your loved one is sure to enjoy it.
