Halloween is in two days, and while you may have your costumes finalized – it always seems like there’s a last-minute dish needed for a Halloween party or get-together. No worries! There are a lot of incredibly easy, yet festive treats that you can make in just a few minutes.

Jack-O-Lantern Crackers

This is a quick and tasty treat for any Halloween party. All you need is browned hamburger meat, round crackers, tomatoes, sour cream, green pepper or olives, and yellow pepper or cheese.

Top the round crackers with sour cream and place ground hamburger on top. Next create jack-o-lantern faces with the toppings. Use the tomato cut into the shape of a mouth, green peppers or olives for the eyes, and yellow pepper or cheese for the nose. You now have a tasty taco-inspired jack-o-lantern appetizer.

Candy Surprise Witch Hats

I love this recipe from Better Homes and Gardens. This is a quick treat that looks incredible. Essentially you are taking chocolate cookies and chocolate ice cream cones and creating a witch’s hat. You can fill the inside of the ice cream cone with candy for an added surprise. Then decorate  with candies, sprinkles, or candy corns.

Microwave S’Mores

S’Mores are great for a Halloween party, and you don’t even need a campfire. Just use the microwave instead. Start by placing your graham cracker squares on a microwave safe plate. Top them with squares of chocolate and heat for about 45 seconds in the microwave. Add the marshmallows on top of the chocolate and heat for another 30-45 seconds. The marshmallows will start to puff up when ready. Don’t let them get too puffy or you will have a marshmallow explosion on hand. This is one recipe you will want to keep your eye on the microwave for.

Remove from the microwave and top with the last piece of graham cracker. You now have a no campfire S’Mores. If you want to make them a little more festive, use the holiday orange marshmallows from the store or add orange and black sprinkles on top of the marshmallows.

Candy Corn in a Glass

Create an elegant looking candy corn inspired treat. Use cocktail glasses, mini shot glasses, or any clear glass. Place a layer of angel food cake in the bottom of, then a layer of butterscotch pudding, then top it off with a layer of lemon Jello. You can top with whipped cream if you like.

These are just a few easy ways to make some last-minute snacks for your Halloween party or event. What is your favorite Halloween party treat on the fly?
