Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Are Officially Married!

After months and months of anticipation, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are finally husband and wife (see the first photo here). The couple married at Fort di Belvedere in Florence, Italy over the weekend and – of course – it sounds like it was an extremely lavish affair.
Despite his separation from Kim’s mother, Kris, the bride was walked down the aisle by her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, famed tenor, Andrea Bocelli, sang “Con te Partiro (With You I Live).” Kris was reportedly seen sitting in the front row wiping away tears during the highly-anticipated ceremony.
All weekend, the Kardashian/West clan have infiltrated the area and enjoyed extravagant activities such as a brunch hosted by fashion designer, Valentino, in Paris, a private tour of the Palace of Versailles and a performance by Lana Del Ray. The couple then had their guests flown to Florence, the city in which their daughter, North, was conceived.
Some eyewitnesses claim that Kanye was “the typical nervous groom” and was seen “swigging obsessively from a bottle of water and shifting his weight from one foot to another.” They added, “it was funny how nervous he was. He clearly knew the gravity of what he was about to do. This morning he was all smiles but as it got closer, you could see the nerves kicking in.” It just goes to show that being able to perform fearlessly for an audience is entirely different from experiencing a monumental moment in your life.
Besides, this was Kanye’s first marriage so it’s more than reasonable that he was feeling a little anxious. His new bride, on the other hand, has plenty of experience – this is her third wedding (in fact, Kim’s ex, Kris Humphries, cited Kanye as a reason why their marriage failed in his divorce documents).
There was one sad occurrence surrounding the wedding. Despite the fact that, earlier this month, Kim’s brother, Rob, said that he “wouldn’t miss [the wedding] for the world,” he was noticeably absent at the nuptials. Onlookers reported that Rob was “in tears” at the Florence Airport as he tried to book a seat on a flight home. Apparently, he returned home to Los Angeles after some sort of family argument. Hopefully, they can patch things up soon.
Kim and Kanye became engaged in October 2013 after welcoming their adorable daughter. Love them or hate them, they are a family and, hopefully, this will be the beginning of their happily ever after.
