I'm confused about the generous tip beforehand.  Should I tip twice?  Tip once and hope that means my waiter is motivated enough to keep my service good despite already receiving money?  I don't think that's good advice.

I never give a tip beforehand.  I usually have no problem with service at a restaurant.  I think all you need is a smile and be polite and the server will be just as nice to you.Cool
