As a parent, if your children love animals, it’s probably only a matter of time before you're faced with the decision of having more than one type of pet in the house. One child will want a kitten, one will want a puppy, and one will want a bird. What to do?

Having cats and dogs living in the same house is easier to achieve than most people are led to believe. The key to harmony in the home (as far as pets are concerned) is to be in control of the household, and avoid unwanted behavior. From my own experience,…

well last year around Moms day i got my girlfriend a kitten which we named MIMI .. My pitmix Dixie who was 6 yrs old last year.. took to Mimi as 2nd mom .. now MiMi who will be 1 on Moms day this year.. is almost full grown.. Dixie and her play like family.. We always treat Dix after she goes outside and MiMi waits for her cat treats where Dix is waiting in the dining room..    The 2 of them are cute..Nobody thought Dix would be patient with a kitten who is so hyped up at times.. But if we lose MiMi in the house, Dix always finds her..

I have 2 dogs and 3 cats. They get a long very well. We have Owie , Tiny , and Tiggy who are all girls cats. Then we have Zeke and Goober who are male dogs. Goober is the newest and the biggest and the wildest! He is lab and pittbull. We have had him for about 6-7 months now. He's only about 9 months old. As huge as he is, you'd think he was 5 yrs. old at least. Then we have little Zeke who is a Chihuahua that someone left tied to our back porch. We decided to keep him and have had him for about 2 yrs. now. He is so good and very well behaved. Owie is the oldest cat and the oldest member of the pets. She's about 10. Owie likes to rub her nose on my face and sleep with me. Then we have Tiny who does just what she wants to do. She is so lovable though and comes and lays on my lap almost every night. Then there's Tiggy who we got right before Zeke came. She was a tiny furr ball when we got her. They all seem to love each other and get a long well together! I LOVE all my animals very much. They are like my kids! ( even though SmileI have 1 son)
