Asparagus, the official veggie of spring time, is a perennial reminder that summer is on its way. I love my asparagus steamed with butter and lime or lemon juice.  I use a special steamer and it comes out great.

I never had tried asparagus before up until about a month ago. I found a recipe on pinterest for pasta dish with it. It was so good. It is now one of my favorite dishes. It's goat cheese sauce with whole wheat pasta, asparagus, red onion, lemon pepper and prosciutto. It's even better the next day with a little Italian dressing as a cold pasta salad. So good.

I used to love going asparagus hunting with my dad in the spring.  We would look out the windows of the car, and stop and pick it along the side of the road.  It grows wild in Michigan.

I have tried asparagus in the past, but I can't get used to eating it yet. I will try it again prepared differently and perhaps that would help.
