Justin Bieber’s relationship with Selena Gomez has been rocky (at best) for the past couple months but most of us have been left wondering what went wrong.  Is it possible that one of the reasons for their troubles has been revealed?  Reports are saying that 18-year-old Bieber cheated on Gomez, 20, with 24-year-old Rihanna.  The gossip mill is claiming that this happened about a year ago.  Was there some truth to the rumors about them flirting back in 2011?  It’s certainly sounding plausible.

Kim Kardashian Wants a Divorce … For the Health of Her Baby

Most of us know exactly how it feels to break up with someone, only to have them drag out the process as long as possible.  It feels like it’s been forever since Kim Kardashian dumped her husband, Kris Humphries, after just 72 days of marriage – but the divorce proceedings are still dragging on after more than a year.  Humphries has been making a number of wild claims including the accusation that Kim and her current beau, Kanye West, planned her “unplanned pregnancy” in order to speed up the trial.  It’s unclear what Humphries is truly trying to gain but his lawyers have alluded to the possibility that their client was duped into a phony wedding orchestrated by the Kardashian clan to generate publicity.  Kim has asked the court to expedite the case since the added stress could be harmful to her unborn baby.

Baby Bumps are in Fashion This Season!

The hottest accessory in Hollywood right now is a baby bump!  Kanye West stunned his audience, and the world, when he announced that Kim Kardashian was pregnant with his child.  Jessica Simpson, the spokeswoman for Weight Watchers, had just gotten back in shape after having daughter, Maxwell Drew, last year when it was discovered that she and fiancé, Eric Johnson, are expecting another bundle of joy.  Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have also recently revealed that they have a second child on the way.

Other notable future moms include Sara Rue, Amber Rose, Holly Madison, Kerri Walsh, Malin Akerman, Lisa Ling, Beverly Mitchell, Kristen Bell, Hillary Scott, Busy Phillips, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Evan Rachel Wood and, of course, Kate Middleton.

All that these situations prove is that relationships are just as flawed and challenging for celebrities as they are for regular people, despite their riches and ability to afford couples’ therapy.   Indeed, money does not buy happiness (or fidelity).

This year, there has an interesting mix of stories ranging from young unmarried couples to marriages that have already dissolved.  Whatever the case, there’s something about these sad tales that draws us in and, usually, forces us to take sides which, of course, isn’t fair since we don’t have all of the details.  Regardless, here’s a look at some of the biggest cheating scandals in Hollywood right now.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson – The Twilight co-stars never formally confirmed their relationship before its demise was dissected in the media.  They appeared to be an unstoppable pair.  Private, low-key and seemingly committed, it was a shock when photos emerged of Stewart engaging in some questionable behavior with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.  Since then, the pair have split up (despite Stewart’s public apology and declaration of her love for Pattinson) but, recently, have been spotted together again.  It’s unclear if they will be able to repair their once promising relationship.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian – I know what you’re thinking – this scandal happened a while ago.  They were each married to other people but began having an affair while working on a movie together.  Time may have passed but Rimes is learning that fans are not always very forgiving when it comes to adultery.   The couple has since married but, recently, Rimes entered emotional rehab after accusing a Twitter follower of cyberbullying (she also filed a lawsuit).  The woman admits to siding with Cibrian’s now ex-wife and even taped a phone conversation with Rimes and posted portions of it on the internet.  This story is far from over.

Arnold Schwarzenegger  and Maria Shriver – For years, there were rumors that Schwarzenegger was a womanizer who had cheated on Kennedy clan member, Shriver, but now there is irrefutable proof.  It has been revealed that he fathered a child with his family’s long-time housekeeper, Mildred Baena.   The couple have now split up and Shriver has filed for divorce but her famous Terminator husband insists that he still has hope for their relationship.

Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr – Fans love the country superstar for his great music as well as his marriage to his high school sweetheart.   All of that came into question when he was photographed getting cozy with American Idol contestant, Brittany Kerr.  He issued a public apology, explained that he had been drinking and that nothing happened between them.   After receiving death threats, Kerr has apologized as well.  Now, Aldean says that his family is okay but that’s he’s extremely embarrassed about the whole situation.

Katie Holmes Divorces Tom Cruise

How shocking was this bit of news?  When people split up, usually there’s some sign that there has been fighting. And after the split up the celebs usually publicly bicker and everyone wonders if they will get back together.

The thing that made this break-up so crazy is that it was quick, quiet and final.  Katie packed up and moved to New York City, taking Suri with her, while Tom was away working on a movie.  There was no squabbling, there was no dirty laundry hung out for the world to see, and there was no contesting the terms of the divorce and custody arrangement requested by Katie.

Kristen Stewart Cheats on Robert Pattinson

Even though the pair never officially confirmed their romance, it was clear that Kristen and Rob were together.  And let’s be honest, their relationship made the romance in the Twilight films that much more believable and swoon-worthy.  Their ability to remain low-key and private, combined with what seemed to be a fierce loyalty to each other, appeared to be the formula to their long-time relationship’s success.

When photos surfaced of Kristen kissing her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, fans hoped there was some mistake. But Kristen was quick to publicly admit to the cheating and, in what could be seen as a desperate plea for forgiveness, declared her love for Rob to the whole world.  The pair have not been photographed together since and it’s been reported that Rob is selling the home he once shared with her.

Miley Cyrus Gets Engaged, Sparks Anorexia Rumors and Cuts Off Hair

It’s understandable that, after years of being a “good girl” for Disney, Miley Cyrus would want to shed that image.  It’s pretty reasonable to say that, after the events of this summer, she’s nothing like her alter ego.

First, Cyrus, 19, announced that she was engaged to Liam Hemsworth, 22, who audiences became very familiar with in The Hunger Games.  She also talked about the beauty of sex and regularly declared her love for her fiancé.  Then, she sparked rumors that she might be battling an eating disorder after she was photographed looking especially tiny. But her Pilates instructor insists that her new slimmed down figure is just the result of a better diet and regular workouts.  The most recent drama was probably the most shocking for fans – she cut off her signature long, brown locks for a short, shaven, platinum blonde do.  She says she has never felt more like herself and, while that may be true, watching the transition has been interesting.

Rihanna Calls Chris Brown the “Love of Her Life”

If anyone was going to make it happen, it was Oprah.  When the Queen of Talk flew down to Barbados to interview Rihanna at her home, viewers were most interested in what she would reveal about Chris Brown.  They had been such a hot couple until the world was left stunned by his attack on her and the pictures that followed.  Still, rumors have always circulated that the pair had not gotten over each other and everyone hoped this interview would confirm or deny the speculation. We weren’t disappointed.

While Rihanna admitted to being angry and betrayed, she also said that right after it happened, she was concerned for Chris. She felt people would label him a monster and he wouldn’t get the help he needs.  Rihanna then left viewers astonished when she said that they are still “very close,” that she still loves him and that she believes he was the love of her life.  This will do nothing to quell the rumors about them getting back together.

Taylor Swift Started Dating a Kennedy, Crashed Wedding, Broke Record

It’s been quite a summer for young Taylor Swift.  First, she was romantically linked to Patrick Schwarzenegger but, it turns out, she’s actually dating his cousin, Conor Kennedy –yes, of that Kennedy family.  As is too often the case in the Kennedy family, young Conor has had his share of tragedy.  Three days after his father, RFK Jr. filed for divorce from his mother, Mary, she was arrested for drunk driving.  Unfortunately, things did not improve and, earlier this year, she committed suicide.  Now, Taylor and Conor appear to be inseparable.

While so much of their young romance has been cute and fun – with pictures of them boating and holding hands along the shores of Cape Cod – they haven’t completely avoided controversy.  Sources, including Kennedy clan member Kathie Lee Gifford, say that Taylor and Conor crashed a family wedding which did not go over well with the bride’s parents.

Still, despite people joking about Taylor being at risk of getting too close to the “Kennedy curse,” she’s done pretty well this summer.  In addition to her budding romance, her new single “We Are Never Getting Back Together” set records for being the fastest-selling digital single and biggest digital sales week ever for a song by a woman.

Bonus:  Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger Get Engaged

Talk about coming out of nowhere!   The world was astonished by the engagement of Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger.  No one had any idea that the 27-year-old punk pop princess and the 37-year-old Nickelback frontman were even dating, let alone be anywhere serious enough to be getting married.  The Canadian couple have kept their relationship extremely quiet and pulled off one of the biggest surprises of the summer.

The film tells the story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt at putting together a baseball club on a budget, by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players. It’s inspiring and it tells one great story. Between Brad Pitt and the supporting cast (which includes the likes of Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman), it’s a must-see.

Since Brad is on fire right now and he just might have one of those golden statues in his hand come February, I thought it would be fun to take a short look at Brad’s career. He started off with humble beginnings landing small roles, but the day he landed a role in a Robert Redford film – well, the rest is history as they say.

The Early Years

After dropping out of college and packing up his things, Brad headed to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. It took him seven months to secure an agent and a few acting jobs, including roles in shows like Dallas, Growing Pains, and Another World.

He also nabbed a few minutes of big screen time in Thelma and Louise, which made him an instant sex symbol. He made a rumored $6,000 for the role. He hasn’t seen a salary number so low since.

Bigger Roles Get Him Noticed

When I think of Brad Pitt’s early years, there is one film that really comes to mind – A River Runs Through It, which was directed by the talented Robert Redford. The film went on to win an Academy Award for Best Cinematography in 1993 and Brad Pitt went on to  secure even more film roles, such as An Interview with a Vampire, alongside Tom Cruise.

On His Way to Blockbuster Hits

Like all A-list actors, you have your successes and your flops. Brad went on to star in films that didn’t do as well as one would hope (The Mexican and Troy) — but also several that were a huge success in his fans’ eyes (Ocean’s 11 and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford).

In 2005 Brad starred in Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie and it was obvious to everyone, there was on-screen and off-screen chemistry. The film did really well, bringing in more than $100 million at the box office.

It seemed Brad was on a role with films like Burn After Reading, which earned two Golden Globe nominations and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where Brad received an Oscar nod.

Where Is He Now?

Brad Pitt is by far an A-list actor and now earns upwards of $20 million (or more) per film. He travels the world making and producing films, as well as being a family man with his partner Angelina Jolie and their 6 kids.

If you take one look at his IMDB profile, you can see he is stacked with projects as both a producer and actor. There is more Brad Pitt goodness to come.

I can’t wait to hear if Brad is nominated for an Oscar for his role in Moneyball. My guess is yes and I believe it would be well-deserved.

Jessica Alba, 30, and her husband, Cash Warren, are awaiting another bundle of joy!  The couple first announced Jessica’s pregnancy back on February 26, 2011.  The baby, rumored to be a little girl who will be named Eva, will join big sister, Honor Marie.

Bones star, Emily Deschanel, 34, will be using her investigative skills in a whole new way later this year – instead of searching a crime scene, she’ll be scouting out cute baby gear!  This will be the first child for Deschanel and her husband, David Hornsby, who were married last September.

Details are scant, but X-Men: First Class actress, January Jones, 33, is expecting her first child.  The father of her baby has not yet been revealed.

Lily Allen, 26, managed to keep two huge secrets – she got married and is expecting her first child with husband, Sam Cooper.  Allen fans have their fingers crossed for the mom-to-be who has suffered from two miscarriages in the past.

Early pregnancy can be an exciting time, especially for a first-time mother, but it can also be stressful.  It’s a huge change and many women worry about how their lives will change and whether they will be a good mother.  One can only imagine the weight on the shoulders of Huma Abedin, 35, wife of embattled New York Representative, Anthony Weiner, who currently is seeking professional help after it was discovered that he was sending women racy pictures of himself on Twitter.  The pregnancy was announced just days after the scandal broke.

Twilight actress, Bryce Dallas Howard, 30, is expecting a second child with husband, Seth Gabel.  The couple, who were married in 2006, welcomed a son, Theo, in February 2007.

The Office star, Jenna Fischer, 37, is expecting her first child with screenwriter husband, Lee Kirk.  The pair were married last July.

In possibly the most surprising baby news this year, Kimberly Stewart (daughter of legendary singer, Rod Stewart), 31, announced that she is expecting her first child.  The baby`s father is actor, Benicio del Toro. The pair are not dating.  The bundle of joy will be Rod Stewart`s first grandchild.
